How does delivery work?
How does delivery work?
Free shipping to the contiguous 48 states on every Saunum heater, AirSolo and AirIQ control, and on any order above our free shipping threshold. A smaller accessory ordered below the threshold carries a flat charge, shown at checkout before you pay.
Ships from Wheeling, Illinois. We do not ship Saunum to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico.
Heaters come by freight. The Air, Air L and Air Perfect ship palletized. The carrier calls to book a window, someone has to sign, and the delivery is curbside rather than inside, so plan for two people to carry it in.
Smaller items come by parcel. The AirSolo, the AirIQ control, stones and safety rails travel by ground parcel with no appointment, and they can arrive on a different day from the heater.
Stones ship in their own boxes. 33 pounds each: 4 boxes for an Air or Air Perfect, 6 for an Air L. Stones added from a Saunum heater's page ship free with that heater.
When it ships. The estimate on each product page is the distributor's usual dispatch time for stocked items. We confirm stock with the distributor when you order, and if your model is out of stock we tell you the new date before anything ships. Working to a deadline? Ask us first.
If it arrives damaged. Note it on the delivery paperwork, photograph the carton and the contents, and report it within 48 hours of delivery, before the heater is installed. Saunum's warranty excludes transport damage. Refuse a punctured or crushed pallet and call us while the driver is there.
Not included: the electrical work. A certified electrician hardwires the heater to 240 V through the AirIQ control unit, and the AirSolo to 120 V.
What does the warranty cover?
What does the warranty cover?
Heaters: 2 years in a private sauna. The Air, Air L and Air Perfect, from your purchase date. The manual that ships with the heater gives no commercial term, so ask us before buying for a gym, spa or rental.
AutoLeil. 2 years in a private sauna, labor excluded.
AirSolo and AirIQ. 2 years in a home sauna and 1 year in a commercial or public one. The AirSolo cover includes labor and spare parts. The AirIQ cover is parts, for the first installation and the original purchaser.
Excluded on the heaters. Labor, the heating elements and the salt spheres, plus wear, transport damage, misuse, improper installation, repairs outside Saunum's repair partners, and stones or salt spheres Saunum does not recommend.
Two conditions decide every claim. A completed installation report goes in with the claim, and the product must have been connected by a qualified electrician. The report form is in the back of the manual, so keep a copy.
Delivery damage. Report it within 48 hours of delivery, with photographs and before installing, because transport damage is not a warranty matter.
Who handles it. Claims go to Saunum's US technical support at Bathing Brands, and we take them there for you. Call (888) 500-5675 with your order number, model, serial number and photographs.
What if I need to return it?
What if I need to return it?
30 days from purchase. On a Saunum heater, AirSolo, AirIQ control or accessory that is new, uninstalled and resalable, in the original packaging with all parts. We handle the return, so you do not contact Saunum or the distributor.
Installed means final. A heater that has been wired in, switched on or loaded with stones cannot go back, and neither can an AirIQ or AirSolo that has been wired in, or an accessory that has been fitted.
What it costs. Full credit for the product, less a repackaging fee of 20 to 50 dollars depending on the item. There is no percentage restocking fee on a standard return.
Who pays the freight. You do on a change of mind. We cover it when the cause is shipping damage or our error. We never deduct the cost of free shipping from your refund, but shipping you paid at checkout is not refunded on a change of mind return.
Damaged on arrival. Note it on the delivery receipt before signing, photograph it, and report it within 48 hours of delivery, before the product is installed.
Stones. Not returnable once a box is opened, since stone is sold by weight.
Cancelling before it ships. No fee before we send the order to the distributor. After that an administrative fee of up to 5 percent may apply, and we waive it when we are not charged ourselves.
To start a return. Call (888) 500-5675 for a Return Authorization number before anything ships back. Refunds go to the original payment method within 7 business days of the return being received and inspected.

Package overview
Saunum Air 7 sauna heater package: heater, AirIQ control and stones for rooms of 177 to 318 cubic feet
A Saunum Air 7 runs only on the AirIQ control and ships without stone. This package brings all three: the 7 kW heater with a closed or open basket, the Saunum AirIQ Wi-Fi control and its phone app, and 132 pounds of stone in four boxes.
Pick it for a mid-size room, or one that has outgrown the Air 5: the Air 7 heats more room from the same basket footprint. Every Saunum size sits side by side in our Saunum heater packages, and you can pay monthly through sauna heater package financing.
Rated room
177 to 318 cu ft
Saunum's take-the-larger rule makes it the pick from 177 up to 283 cubic feet.
Ready to load
132 lb of stone
Four boxes, enough for either basket, on the same order as the heater and its AirIQ.
Same footprint as the Air 5
18.3 x 12.5 in
A bigger room than the Air 5's, with no more floor given to the heater.
Installation film
Watch Saunum put an Air heater in a room
Saunum's 4:36 film was shot on the closed black basket version of the Air, the body the Air 7 shares.
Lifting the heater out, fitting the flue and ceiling cap, bringing the wiring in, stacking stones, placing the salt sphere tray: it is all there, told in on-screen text with no voiceover. Use it to picture install day; your electrician still works from the manual.

What is included
Inside the Saunum Air 7 package: the four things you unpack
Start with the control, because an Air 7 runs on nothing else.
- Saunum AirIQ Wi-Fi controlSaunum's manual says the Air 7 operates exclusively with the Saunum AirIQ Wi-Fi heater control, so it is part of the order. Its touch panel holds temperature, fan speed, three sauna presets you can rewrite, a weekly plan, a "sauna ready" time and a passcode screen lock. Join it to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and the Saunum app watches the temperature, starts the fan, shows the heater's status and sets a start time while you are still on the couch; the phone is your own. Or stay off the network: choose "Set up offline" (older panels say "Skip").
- Saunum Air 7 heater7 kW, with Saunum's fan in the lower body. Closed black steel or open stainless steel basket, same price; the open one puts the stones on show and wants more side room.
- Saunum sauna stones, 4 boxes33 lb each, 132 lb in total, rounded olivine diabase between 2 and 4 in. The basket holds about 110 lb closed or about 130 lb open.
- Seven Himalayan salt spheresPacked in the heater carton. They sit in sockets between the outlet grille and the fan, in the moving air, and you decide whether to use them. Spares come as a Saunum salt sphere set.

Required, outside the package
- Power supply cablingThe electrician supplies it.
- Licensed electricianWires the circuit, the AirIQ and the heater, and signs the installation report.
Packed with the heater as well
- SensorsRoom temperature sensor and door sensor, each on its own cable.
- LeadsElement and equalizer cables and a 16 ft lead for the AirIQ panel.
Why the package
Why buy the Saunum Air 7 as a package instead of part by part
Three parts that have to match, bought as one product.
- Matched to the Air 7The AirIQ is the control the heater is designed around, and four boxes is the stone count that Bathing Brands, Saunum's US distributor, sets for this basket.
- The same money as the partsSaunum's advertised prices for the heater, the AirIQ and four stone boxes, summed. Nothing is added for the package, and there is no compare-at price.
- One checkout, a complete installWhen the electrician comes, the control and the stone are already there.

Already have a working AirIQ, or replacing an Air 7 heater? Then the heater on its own is the right order, with stones.
Add-ons
Saunum add-ons that suit the Air 7 package
Finish the room with Saunum's own pieces for the Air. Each one can go on this order.
- Air safety railThe one add-on row in the buy box, and the first one to consider. Saunum strongly recommends its rail around the heater to cut the risk of accidental contact and burns, and asks that children keep at least 40 inches back while the fan runs. The Saunum Air safety rail is birch plywood and steel and clips around the basket.
- AutoLeilSteam without reaching for the ladle. The Saunum AutoLeil automatic water dispenser holds a humidity level or adds timed splashes, set from the AirIQ panel. It needs a water supply, current AirIQ software and a pipe to the stones: the pre-bent Saunum AutoLeil pipe, ordered as its own item, or a 10 mm copper or stainless pipe bent on site. We confirm the connection before it ships.
- Fan button by the benchWith the Saunum AirIQ fan button, whoever sits down first can switch the fan on from inside the room. It does on and off only; speed stays on the panel.
- Air deflectorFor a bench that runs close to the heater, the Saunum Air deflector hooks onto the outlet and turns the air from bathers' feet.
- Aroma oilsEach Saunum aroma oil set is 10 mL of eucalyptus, grapefruit or sweet orange oil, with a dropper and a ceramic aroma bowl that Saunum's product sheet seats in one salt sphere socket. If you scent the ladle water instead, the heater manual allows only fragrance made for saunas.
Day to day
Owning the Saunum Air 7 package: setup, sessions and upkeep
The first evening
At setup the AirIQ asks about Wi-Fi. Join the network for the app, or set it up offline, in which case you enter the date and time by hand and the panel gets no software updates. Either way Saunum wants internet at first installation for updates, and a phone hotspot covers it. Then try the lowest temperature and the lowest fan speed first, which is how Saunum suggests you find your setting.
A normal session
Schedule the start from your phone, or set a ready time on the panel; in an insulated room of the right size Saunum allows 45 to 90 minutes to heat. Starting from the app needs the door closed, and the Air 7 heater carton includes the door sensor that checks it. Saunum's instruction is fan off while the room warms, then on just before you step in, although the AirIQ may start the climate function itself to stop the room overheating. Don't leave it running unattended. Once you are in, pour no more than 6 to 7 fluid ounces of hot water per ladle, with any sauna fragrance in that water. Chlorinated water and seawater are out.
Upkeep
Restack the stones at least once a year. Check the salt spheres yearly and swap out any that are worn or broken. The test comes from Saunum's AirSolo manual: a sphere whose diameter has dropped by more than half is due, and a Saunum Himalayan salt sphere set refills the tray. A damp cloth cleans the housing, and the manual wants the electrical connections checked each year.
Sizing
Sizing the Saunum Air 7 package, and the 177 to 212 overlap
Saunum rates the Air 7 for 177 to 318 cubic feet, 5 to 9 cubic meters, with a minimum ceiling of 73 inches. In practice it covers 177 up to 283.
Two overlaps bracket it. From 177 to 212 both Air sizes are rated, and Saunum's take-the-larger rule makes it an Air 7 room; from 283 to 318 the Air L 10 is rated too, and the same rule passes the room up. Work out effective volume first: length by width by height in feet, times 1.5 for uninsulated log, plank or stave walls (an uninsulated barrel counts as stave), plus 3.0 cubic feet for each square foot of glass, tile, brick, concrete or stone. Glass doors count. Take a 6 by 6 foot room 6.5 feet high, 234 cubic feet, and give it a 16 square foot glass door: 234 + 48 = 282, an Air 7 room.

Three other packages share part of the Air 7's range, and the Air Perfect 10 starts where it stops, at 318; the Air Perfect pair trade the ceiling flue for a 45.7 inch body with side flues and need 77 inches of ceiling. Our heater finder for saunas checks your figure, the sauna heater buying guide explains the method, and we will do it by phone too.
Install planning
Saunum Air 7 package: what your builder and electrician settle first
Settle these before you order; all come from Saunum's manuals. The fan only moves the room's own air, so it does not replace the vents.
- The roomInsulated before the heater goes in; ceiling at least 73 in
- VentsIn at 12 in or lower, by the heater; out at 24 to 47 in on the far side; 6 changes an hour
- Its own circuit240 V, single phase, 6,900 W, 28.75 A, hardwired; never a GFCI; breaker and cable chosen by the electrician from the manual and the NEC
- Through the AirIQThe heater is fed via the AirIQ control unit, never direct to mains; panel outside the room, clear of splashes; power unit dry, at or under 113 °F
- Junction box and positionSplashproof box 20 in or less off the floor; 40 in over the basket, 20 in clear at the outlet, 2 in closed or 6 in open at sides and front
- Bench and sensorBench underside above the outlet's top edge; sensor 2 in under the ceiling, away from the heater, 20 in from doors, windows and vents
- PaperworkThe installation report from the Air manual, kept for any claim
Shipping
Saunum Air 7 package delivery: what arrives, and when
Free shipping to the contiguous 48 states. Freight brings the heater to your curb, where someone signs; the AirIQ, the stones and a rail if you add one go by ground parcel and can land another day. The estimate beside Add to Cart counts business days.
When the truck comes
Have two people to move it. Check every side before signing; photograph and note damage on the receipt.
Between deliveries
Book the electrician after the AirIQ and stones arrive.
In winter
Let a cold heater reach room temperature before it is connected; below 23 °F the limiter can trip.
Report damage within 48 hours of delivery, before you install.Open the cartons on delivery day, then send us photos, or call (888) 500-5675.
Saunum is not shipped to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico. Our Saunum shipping terms have the rest. The Saunum returns terms allow 30 days for new, uninstalled parts, but a heater that has been wired in, switched on or loaded with stones cannot come back. An opened stone box cannot be returned either.

Warranty
Warranty on the Saunum Air 7 package, part by part
Saunum warrants the heater and the AirIQ separately, and each keeps its own terms.

For your inspector: the Air 7 is cULus Listed to UL 875 and CSA C22.2 No. 164, UL file E525245, and the 2023 US and Canadian UL certificates list the AIR 7 by name.
FAQ
Saunum Air 7 package FAQ
What do I get in the Saunum Air 7 sauna heater package?
A Saunum Air 7 heater with the basket you choose, a Saunum AirIQ Wi-Fi control, and four 33 pound boxes of olivine diabase stone. Salt spheres and sensors come in the heater carton; cable and electrician are yours to arrange.
Is the Saunum Air 7 package priced higher than its parts?
No. It equals the Air 7 heater, the AirIQ and four boxes of stone at Saunum's advertised prices, summed, with nothing added and no compare-at price.
Will a non-Saunum control work with the Saunum Air 7 package?
No. The Air 7 manual says the heater operates exclusively with Saunum's AirIQ, and the heater is wired through it rather than to the mains, so another brand's control cannot run it. The panel mounts on a wall outside the sauna room.
Which room sizes is the Saunum Air 7 package for?
Saunum rates it for 177 to 318 cubic feet with a 73 inch minimum ceiling. Add 3 cubic feet per square foot of glass, tile or masonry, and multiply by 1.5 for uninsulated log walls. Because of Saunum's take-the-larger rule, rooms from 283 go to the Air L 10.
What electrical work does the Saunum Air 7 package need?
A licensed electrician runs a dedicated 240 volt, single phase, hardwired circuit for 6,900 watts and 28.75 amps, choosing breaker and cable from the manual and the NEC, with no GFCI. The electrician provides the cable.
When do the parts of the Saunum Air 7 package arrive?
On their own schedules. Freight brings the heater to your curb, where someone signs; ground parcel carries the AirIQ and stone boxes, sometimes another day. All of it ships free within the contiguous 48 states.
How is the Saunum Air 7 package covered under warranty?
Saunum warrants the Air 7 for two years in a private home sauna, for materials and assembly, without labor, elements or salt spheres. The AirIQ has two years private and one year public. A claim starts with us and needs the completed installation report.
My room is 177 to 212 cubic feet: Saunum Air 7 package or Air 5 package?
The Air 7 package. Both heaters are rated for that band, and Saunum's manual says a volume between two sizes takes the larger. Count glass, tile and stone first; they push a room up the scale.
