Saunum Heater Packages
Saunum Sauna Heater Packages: The Heater, the AirIQ and the Stone, Ordered Together
A Saunum heater cannot run without its AirIQ control, and it arrives with no stone. A package takes care of both. Pick the family by your room and ceiling, pick the size by the room volume, and the control and the stone the heater takes are already in the order.
Free shipping to the contiguous 48 states. The heater comes by freight to the curb, and the AirIQ and the stone travel by parcel, so they can arrive on a different day.
Picture install week. The electrician is booked for Thursday morning. The heater came on the freight truck on Monday, and the AirIQ and six boxes of stone turned up by parcel the day after. By Thursday everything the manual lists is stacked in the room next to the sauna, and the one decision left is where the panel goes on the wall outside the door.
Saunum Heater Packages by Family: Air, Air L and Air Perfect
Every package is in the grid at the top of this page. Each family shares one body and the same clearance rules for each basket; the sizes inside it differ in output and in the room they heat.
Saunum Air Packages
The Air heater on its telescopic flue, with the AirIQ Wi-Fi control and the stone it takes. Pick the closed black steel basket or the open stainless steel one; both cost the same and suit the same rooms.
Saunum Air 7 package›Saunum Air L Packages
The deeper Air L basket, the AirIQ that runs every size of it directly, and the larger stone load it takes. Closed or open basket, same price. Open needs 8 inches at the sides and 10 in front to combustibles.
Saunum Air L 10 package›Saunum Air Perfect Packages
The 45.7 inch Air Perfect body with its stone and the AirIQ, which Saunum's US distributor lists as required for this heater. If your heater arrives with its own AirIQ panel, we refund the control.
Saunum Air Perfect 7 package›Buy the heater on its own
Replacing a Saunum heater and keeping the AirIQ on your wall? Order the heater alone and add the stone in its buy box. Each heater page offers the same basket choice as its package.
Saunum Air, Air L and Air Perfect Packages Side by Side
Every package is built the same way, around the heater, its AirIQ control and its stone. What changes from one family to the next is the body, the stone load and the room it is rated for.

How a Saunum Package Is Priced, and When to Skip It
Four plain answers to the questions we hear before a package order.
The parts, added together
A package costs what the heater, the AirIQ and the stone boxes cost on their own, at the prices Saunum's US distributor sets for them. Nothing is added for putting them in one order, and there is no inflated compare at price to make the total look like a saving.
Build the same order on a heater page and the total matches.
Why the AirIQ is inside
Saunum designs the Air, Air L and Air Perfect to work with its AirIQ Wi-Fi control, and no other brand's control, from our sauna controls or anywhere else, will drive them. Putting the AirIQ in the package means the control is on site for the electrician's visit, not on a second order placed after it.
Its panel goes on a wall outside the sauna room.
Why the stone count is fixed
Each manual gives a stone load, and the stone comes in 33 pound boxes of rounded olivine diabase, 2 to 4 inches across. Four boxes cover the Air and Air Perfect loads and six cover the Air L, so the count is set by the family and does not change between sizes.
The boxes ship free with the package, by parcel.
When the heater alone is the better buy
If you are replacing a Saunum heater and keeping the AirIQ already on the wall, a package would sell you a second control. Order the heater on its own and add the stone in its buy box instead. For a new sauna, the package is the simpler way to order.

Which Saunum Heater Package Fits My Sauna?
Start with the room volume in cubic feet: length by width by height. Saunum's US manuals then add to it. Walls of solid log, plank or stave with no internal insulation multiply the volume by 1.5. Each square foot of glass, tile, brick, concrete or stone adds 3 cubic feet. The manual counts a glass door in its own example. When the result sits inside two of the ranges below, Saunum's rule is to take the larger one.
| Saunum package | Room volume | Minimum ceiling | Stone boxes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Air 5 | 106 to 212 cu ft | 73 in | 4 |
| Air 7 | 177 to 318 cu ft | 73 in | 4 |
| Air Perfect 7 | 210 to 350 cu ft | 77 in | 4 |
| Air L 10 | 283 to 494 cu ft | 73 in | 6 |
| Air Perfect 10 | 318 to 565 cu ft | 77 in | 4 |
| Air L 13 | 424 to 565 cu ft | 73 in | 6 |
| Air L 15 | 530 to 812 cu ft | 73 in | 6 |
Here is a worked room of our own. An insulated sauna 8 feet long, 6 feet wide and 7 feet high holds 336 cubic feet. Swap in a glass door of 21 square feet and it gains 63 more, so the heater has to cover 399. The Air 7 stops at 318 and the Air Perfect 7 at 350, so two packages are left. The Air L 10 package gives you the telescopic flue. The Air Perfect 10 package suits a room that wants the shorter side flue body, provided the ceiling reaches 77 inches.
Do not round up past the rule. Saunum warns that a heater with too much power warms the air quickly while the stones stay too cool for good steam. If your numbers land near a boundary, our sauna heater buying guide walks through the sums, or send us the room and we will check them with you.
Before You Order a Saunum Heater Package
Six things to settle with your electrician and builder before the cartons arrive.
A dedicated 240 V circuit
The heater draws 20.63 A on the Air 5 and up to 62.50 A on the Air L 15. A licensed electrician sizes the circuit from the manual and the NEC and connects the heater through the AirIQ control unit. Saunum rules out a GFCI breaker on these heaters.
A claim on the warranty needs that qualified connection.
Runs every Air L size
The current US AirIQ manual rates the power unit for heaters up to 15.2 kW, so it switches the Air L 13 and Air L 15 without anything added. A 2023 edition capped it at 12 kW and asked for a contactor box above that.
We confirm which edition ships, and the electrician follows the manual in the box.
A door sensor
Starting the sauna from the Saunum app needs a door sensor fitted, and heating will not begin with the door open. The Air L carton and the AirIQ box hold none, and the Air Perfect parts list and manual disagree, so we confirm before shipping whether your setup needs one.
Choose "Set up offline" at setup and the panel still runs the sauna.
73 in or 77 in
The Air and Air L flue telescopes from 73 to 95 inches so its cap reaches the ceiling. The Air Perfect needs 77 inches and can sit partly recessed, at 7 to 31.5 inches from its base to the floor or bench. Every one sends its air out below the lower edge of the bench.
Measure both before choosing a family.
Safety rail recommended
Leave 20 inches clear in front of the fan outlet and keep children 40 inches back while the fan runs. Saunum strongly recommends its safety rail; each package page offers the matching rail as an optional row.
Clearances to combustibles are in the table above.
Still needed
The fan moves the air already in the room; fresh air still has to come in. The manual puts the intake within 12 inches of the floor near the heater and the exhaust 24 to 47 inches up, as far from the heater as the room allows.
Plan the vents before the walls are closed.
Saunum Package Warranty, Delivery and Returns
Each part of a package keeps its own Saunum warranty, taken from the current US manuals.
| Part of the package | Private or home use | Commercial or public use |
|---|---|---|
| Air, Air L or Air Perfect heater | 2 years; labor, heating elements and salt spheres excluded | None in the manual that ships with the heater; ask us before ordering |
| AirIQ Wi-Fi control | 2 years in a private sauna | 1 year |
A claim needs the installation report from the back of the heater manual, filled in by your installer, and a connection by a qualified electrician. Claims go to Saunum technical support at Bathing Brands, the US distributor, and we take yours there. Every condition is on our Saunum warranty policy page. The Air 5 and Air 7 heaters are cULus Listed to UL 875 and CSA C22.2 No. 164 (file E525245).
Shipping is free to the contiguous 48 states. The heater travels by freight to the curb: the carrier books a window, an adult signs, and you check every carton before signing. The AirIQ and the stone boxes come by parcel and can land on a different day. We do not ship Saunum to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico. Read the Saunum shipping policy for the detail.
Returns run 30 days from purchase on new, uninstalled parts in their original packaging, with no percentage restocking fee. A repackaging fee of 20 to 50 dollars applies per item, and you pay the return freight on a change of mind. A heater that has been wired in, switched on or loaded with stones cannot come back, and an opened stone box cannot be returned. The Saunum return policy has the full terms.
Saunum Heater Packages, Questions Answered
What is in a Saunum heater package?
The heater, in the basket you choose on the Air and Air L, with its temperature sensor and seven Himalayan salt spheres in the carton. The Saunum AirIQ Wi-Fi control, with its panel and power unit. And the stone the heater takes, in 33 pound boxes. The supply cable and the electrician's work are not part of it.
Does a Saunum package cost more than buying the parts separately?
No. The package price is the heater, the AirIQ and the stone boxes added together at the prices Saunum's US distributor sets, with nothing added for the bundle and no compare at price. Building the same order on a heater page comes to the same total. The optional safety rail is extra either way.
Why does every Saunum package include the AirIQ?
Because the heaters are designed to run on it. Saunum builds the Air, Air L and Air Perfect around its AirIQ control system, and Saunum's US distributor lists it as required for the Air Perfect too. If your heater arrives with its own AirIQ panel, we refund the control. Already own an AirIQ? Buy the heater on its own.
Which Saunum package suits my room?
Work out the volume in cubic feet, multiply by 1.5 for uninsulated log, plank or stave walls, and add 3 cubic feet per square foot of glass, tile, brick, concrete or stone. Pick the package whose range covers the total, taking the larger where two ranges overlap. Check the ceiling as well: 73 inches for Air and Air L, 77 for Air Perfect.
Do the parts of a Saunum package arrive together?
Not always. The heater comes by freight to the curb, with someone there to sign, while the AirIQ and the stone boxes travel by parcel and can arrive a day or more apart. Shipping is free to the contiguous 48 states. Open every carton on delivery day and report any damage within 48 hours of delivery.
What does my electrician need for a Saunum package?
A dedicated 240 V single phase circuit, sized by the electrician from the manual and the NEC, with the heater hardwired through the AirIQ control unit and never on a GFCI breaker. The draw runs from 20.63 A on the Air 5 to 62.50 A on the Air L 15. A splashproof junction box sits within 20 inches of the floor.
Is the Saunum safety rail part of a package?
No, it is optional, and each package page offers the rail made for its family as an add on. Saunum strongly recommends it to reduce the risk of touching the hot heater. It clips around the stone basket on the Air and Air L, and a separate rail fits the Air Perfect body. It can also be added later.
What warranty covers a Saunum heater package?
The heater carries 2 years in a private sauna, with labor and heating elements excluded, and the manual that ships with it gives no commercial term. The AirIQ carries 2 years at home and 1 year in a public sauna. Claims need the completed installation report. Questions before you order? Call (888) 500-5675.
