How does delivery work?
How does delivery work?
Free shipping to the contiguous 48 states on every Saunum heater, AirSolo and AirIQ control, and on any order above our free shipping threshold. A smaller accessory ordered below the threshold carries a flat charge, shown at checkout before you pay.
Ships from Wheeling, Illinois. We do not ship Saunum to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico.
Heaters come by freight. The Air, Air L and Air Perfect ship palletized. The carrier calls to book a window, someone has to sign, and the delivery is curbside rather than inside, so plan for two people to carry it in.
Smaller items come by parcel. The AirSolo, the AirIQ control, stones and safety rails travel by ground parcel with no appointment, and they can arrive on a different day from the heater.
Stones ship in their own boxes. 33 pounds each: 4 boxes for an Air or Air Perfect, 6 for an Air L. Stones added from a Saunum heater's page ship free with that heater.
When it ships. The estimate on each product page is the distributor's usual dispatch time for stocked items. We confirm stock with the distributor when you order, and if your model is out of stock we tell you the new date before anything ships. Working to a deadline? Ask us first.
If it arrives damaged. Note it on the delivery paperwork, photograph the carton and the contents, and report it within 48 hours of delivery, before the heater is installed. Saunum's warranty excludes transport damage. Refuse a punctured or crushed pallet and call us while the driver is there.
Not included: the electrical work. A certified electrician hardwires the heater to 240 V through the AirIQ control unit, and the AirSolo to 120 V.

Heaters: 2 years in a private sauna. The Air, Air L and Air Perfect, from your purchase date. The manual that ships with the heater gives no commercial term, so ask us before buying for a gym, spa or rental.
AutoLeil. 2 years in a private sauna, labor excluded.
AirSolo and AirIQ. 2 years in a home sauna and 1 year in a commercial or public one. The AirSolo cover includes labor and spare parts. The AirIQ cover is parts, for the first installation and the original purchaser.
Excluded on the heaters. Labor, the heating elements and the salt spheres, plus wear, transport damage, misuse, improper installation, repairs outside Saunum's repair partners, and stones or salt spheres Saunum does not recommend.
Two conditions decide every claim. A completed installation report goes in with the claim, and the product must have been connected by a qualified electrician. The report form is in the back of the manual, so keep a copy.
Delivery damage. Report it within 48 hours of delivery, with photographs and before installing, because transport damage is not a warranty matter.
Who handles it. Claims go to Saunum's US technical support at Bathing Brands, and we take them there for you. Call (888) 500-5675 with your order number, model, serial number and photographs.

30 days from purchase. On a Saunum heater, AirSolo, AirIQ control or accessory that is new, uninstalled and resalable, in the original packaging with all parts. We handle the return, so you do not contact Saunum or the distributor.
Installed means final. A heater that has been wired in, switched on or loaded with stones cannot go back, and neither can an AirIQ or AirSolo that has been wired in, or an accessory that has been fitted.
What it costs. Full credit for the product, less a repackaging fee of 20 to 50 dollars depending on the item. There is no percentage restocking fee on a standard return.
Who pays the freight. You do on a change of mind. We cover it when the cause is shipping damage or our error. We never deduct the cost of free shipping from your refund, but shipping you paid at checkout is not refunded on a change of mind return.
Damaged on arrival. Note it on the delivery receipt before signing, photograph it, and report it within 48 hours of delivery, before the product is installed.
Stones. Not returnable once a box is opened, since stone is sold by weight.
Cancelling before it ships. No fee before we send the order to the distributor. After that an administrative fee of up to 5 percent may apply, and we waive it when we are not charged ourselves.
To start a return. Call (888) 500-5675 for a Return Authorization number before anything ships back. Refunds go to the original payment method within 7 business days of the return being received and inspected.

Saunum Air safety rail
A bentwood birch rail on a steel frame that clips around the top of the stone basket on the Saunum Air 5 and Air 7, so a hand or knee meets wood before it meets hot steel.
The Air manual is plain about the risk: the stones and the outside of the heater can burn you, and Saunum strongly recommends its safety rail around the heater to reduce the risk of accidental contact. The rail is not in the heater carton. Saunum lists it with the bottom air deflector, the supply cables and the stones as parts bought separately.
Buying a Saunum Air 7 sauna heater or an Air 5 from us? The rail is an optional row in the heater's buy box, so both go on one order. Already running an Air? The rail goes on around a heater that is in place, with no wiring involved.

It is shaped for the Air 5 and Air 7 basket, 18.3 in wide and 12.5 in deep in the Air manual, whichever basket style you chose.

Putting it on
Saunum shows the fitting in a three-picture sheet titled for the Air and Air L. The ends of the rail are eased outward, the rail is set around the stone basket, and its steel brackets hook over the top edge of the basket and slide down into place. The sheet opens with three warnings: the heater off at the breaker, the heater cooled down, and gloves on so the metal does not cut you.
- Check the model name on your heater or your order before you buy: the Air 5 and Air 7 share this rail, the Air L does not.
- The rail leaves the manual's rules unchanged. Keep feet and other body parts at least 20 in from the front of the bottom air outlet while the fan runs, and keep children 40 in away.

Saunum Air safety rail questions buyers ask
Does the Saunum Air safety rail come with the heater?
No. The Air manual lists the safety rail among the parts that are not in the heater package, together with the bottom air deflector, the supply cables and the stones. When you buy the heater from us, the rail is an optional row in the buy box, so the heater and the rail can go through one checkout.
Why does Saunum recommend the Saunum Air safety rail?
The Air manual warns that the stones and the outside of the heater can burn you, and says Saunum strongly recommends its safety rail around the heater to reduce the risk of accidental contact and burns. The rail puts a wooden edge in front of the hot basket. It does not make the heater safe to touch.
Will the Saunum Air safety rail fit an Air L heater?
No. The Air L body is 18.1 in deep, against 12.5 in for the Air 5 and Air 7, so Saunum makes a separate Air L rail with its own part number. The two rails share one fitting sheet but are not interchangeable. Tell us your model and we match the right rail.
Does the Saunum Air safety rail work with the open stainless basket?
Yes. The Air 5 and Air 7 come with a closed black basket or an open stainless one, and the Air manual draws both at the same outside size, 18.3 in wide and 12.5 in deep. Bathing Brands sells one rail for the Air series with no basket split, and we confirm your basket with you before it ships.
How does the Saunum Air safety rail ship, and what covers it?
It goes by ground parcel from the distributor in Wheeling, Illinois. Ordered with a heater, it can arrive on a different day from the heater's freight delivery. Saunum's US manuals give no separate warranty term for this part, so ask us before you buy if cover matters.
