What they are

Two Kinds of HUUM Part

Accessories for the room you're building

Safety rails help prevent accidental contact with the hot heater and stones. Reflectors are stainless panels that hook onto the heater. Embedding flanges are trim for the cut edge where a heater sits sunk into a bench or floor.

Parts that get it heating again

Elements are sold by rating, and several heaters mix two, so the plate's output decides which you need. UKU spares replace one failed piece of the control. Wiring goes to the licensed electrician who wired the heater.

Questions answered

HUUM Parts and Accessories: Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know which HUUM heater I have?

Read the rating plate on the heater: it gives the model and the output. The family name tells you which rail, reflector or flange fits. The output decides the heating element, because the DROP 9, CLIFF 9, STEEL 9 and HIVE 15 each mix two element ratings. Send us a photo of the plate if you're unsure.

Do the CLIFF Mini 4 and STEEL Mini 4 take a rail, reflector or flange?

No. HUUM makes its CLIFF and STEEL rails, reflectors and embedding flange for the 6, 9 and 11, and lists none of them for either Mini, which hangs on the wall and has a shallower body. What the Minis do share is the heating element: the CLIFF and STEEL element covers both.

Does a reflector or safety rail change the heater's clearances?

A reflector does. HUUM states that it reduces the heater's safety distance from the walls by half, without saying which printed distance, so check your layout against the heater manual and with your inspector. HUUM gives no reduction for a safety rail; its manuals say to keep the minimum distances to a wooden rail.

Which heating element does my heater need?

The one for its family, in the rating its output calls for. DROP elements come in 1500 W or 2000 W, HIVE in 2000, 3000 or 3500 W, and CLIFF and STEEL in 2000 W or 3500 W. Several models mix two ratings, so go by the plate, not the name. Your licensed electrician should fit it.

Will these UKU spares fit my control?

They're the spare part numbers for the UKU 4.1, the control we sell. HUUM's newer 4.2 uses different part numbers, so check your module first. The panel and the sensors suit the 4.1 Local and Wi-Fi alike. The spare main module is Wi-Fi only, and heaters above 11 kW also need the UKU extension box.

Are you an authorized dealer for these HUUM parts and accessories?

Yes. As a factory-authorized HUUM dealer, we sell every part on HUUM's own warranty terms: spare parts carry 1 year, while heating elements, HUUM's accessories and sensors are excluded. HUUM's full terms are on our HUUM warranty page. To confirm a fit first, call (888) 500-5675.

A photo of the plate on your heater or UKU module is enough. We'll tell you which part fits and how many.
