Room Measurements and Door Swing for an Indoor Corner Sauna

Measure What to check
Each wall from the corner The outside width along both walls, about 49 to 60 inches.
Ceiling Rooms stand about 75 to 76 inches tall. One maker asks for 10 to 12 inches above the roof and 1 to 2 inches around the sides.
Door swing The glass door sits in the angled front and opens outward, with an opening about 22 inches wide on these models.
Outlet A dedicated outlet within reach of the cord; every manual rules out extension cords and adapters.
Route in Each model ships in three boxes, and two adults assemble it, per the makers.
The measurement people miss: the door arc. Keep furniture, a room door and floor vents clear of the space in front of the angled face.

Corner Infrared Sauna Power: Circuits and GFCI

15A

Two seat rooms

120V, 15A dedicated circuit

The manual requires a dedicated 15A circuit; nothing else on that breaker draws power during a session.

Fits: one spare 15A slot

20A

Three seat rooms

120V, 20A receptacle and breaker

The makers specify a dedicated 20A receptacle and breaker, not 240V, and say to consult a certified electrician.

Fits: room for a 20A circuit

GFCI

GFCI: makers and code differ

Your electrician and code decide

All three brands specify a receptacle without GFCI protection, while recent code editions require it on many basement and bathroom outlets.

Fits: a plan settled early

A licensed electrician adds or checks the circuit. Panel types and EMF ratings are compared in our infrared sauna buyer's guide.

Before You Order a Corner Sauna

  • Tape the footprint in the corner. Include the roof overhang, then open an imaginary door across the angled front.
  • Measure to the lowest obstruction. Ductwork, beams and light fixtures count, not just the ceiling.
  • Pick a dry, level floor. Two brands ask for a spot away from any source of water, and every maker says indoor use only.
  • Book the circuit. Give the electrician the model, since amperage differs by size.

Four Corner Saunas We'd Start With

Corner Sauna Questions

What is a corner sauna?

A corner sauna is shaped to back into the corner of a room. Two walls meet at a right angle at the back, and an angled front holds the glass door. Every corner sauna here is an indoor infrared room for two or three people, heated by carbon panels.

How much space does a corner sauna need?

A 2 person corner sauna here takes about 49 by 48 inches of floor and stands about 76 inches tall. A 3 person corner sauna takes about 54 by 54 to 60 by 60 inches and stands about 75 inches tall. Add the roof overhang, a little clearance and the door arc.

Which way does a corner sauna door open?

Outward, into the room. The door sits in the angled front, and the makers' diagrams show it swinging out from that face, with an opening about 22 inches wide. Keep that arc clear of furniture, a room door and floor vents, and check which side the handle sits on.

Does a corner infrared sauna need a dedicated circuit?

Yes. The two seat rooms call for a dedicated 120V, 15A circuit, and the three seat rooms a dedicated 120V, 20A receptacle and breaker. Nothing else should draw power on that breaker during a session, and every manual rules out extension cords and adapters. A licensed electrician confirms your panel.

Can a corner sauna plug into a GFCI outlet?

The makers say no. All three brands specify a receptacle without GFCI protection, and one manual explains that its saunas can trip a GFCI. Recent code editions require GFCI protection on many basement and bathroom outlets, so your licensed electrician and inspector settle it before the outlet goes in.

Can I put a corner sauna in a bathroom or basement?

A dry basement corner suits these rooms well. Two brands ask for a dry, level spot away from any source of water, and every maker marks these saunas for indoor use only, so a wet bathroom is a poor fit. Check the ceiling, the floor and the outlet before you order.

How is a corner sauna delivered and assembled?

By freight to your curb in three boxes. Freight is included to the contiguous 48 states on most models. The panels clasp together on most models, and the manuals ask for two adults to assemble. Professional Setup and Assembly is offered on most models here at a set price.

Are you an authorized dealer for these corner saunas?

Yes. As a factory-authorized dealer, we sell each sauna with its manufacturer's warranty, on the terms each brand's own policy sets out. Every maker here also voids its warranty if the sauna is placed outdoors. Call (888) 500-5675 to check a corner against your room before you order.
