How does delivery work?
How does delivery work?
Free shipping to the contiguous 48 states on every Saunum heater, AirSolo and AirIQ control, and on any order above our free shipping threshold. A smaller accessory ordered below the threshold carries a flat charge, shown at checkout before you pay.
Ships from Wheeling, Illinois. We do not ship Saunum to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico.
Heaters come by freight. The Air, Air L and Air Perfect ship palletized. The carrier calls to book a window, someone has to sign, and the delivery is curbside rather than inside, so plan for two people to carry it in.
Smaller items come by parcel. The AirSolo, the AirIQ control, stones and safety rails travel by ground parcel with no appointment, and they can arrive on a different day from the heater.
Stones ship in their own boxes. 33 pounds each: 4 boxes for an Air or Air Perfect, 6 for an Air L. Stones added from a Saunum heater's page ship free with that heater.
When it ships. The estimate on each product page is the distributor's usual dispatch time for stocked items. We confirm stock with the distributor when you order, and if your model is out of stock we tell you the new date before anything ships. Working to a deadline? Ask us first.
If it arrives damaged. Note it on the delivery paperwork, photograph the carton and the contents, and report it within 48 hours of delivery, before the heater is installed. Saunum's warranty excludes transport damage. Refuse a punctured or crushed pallet and call us while the driver is there.
Not included: the electrical work. A certified electrician hardwires the heater to 240 V through the AirIQ control unit, and the AirSolo to 120 V.
What does the warranty cover?
What does the warranty cover?
Heaters: 2 years in a private sauna. The Air, Air L and Air Perfect, from your purchase date. The manual that ships with the heater gives no commercial term, so ask us before buying for a gym, spa or rental.
AutoLeil. 2 years in a private sauna, labor excluded.
AirSolo and AirIQ. 2 years in a home sauna and 1 year in a commercial or public one. The AirSolo cover includes labor and spare parts. The AirIQ cover is parts, for the first installation and the original purchaser.
Excluded on the heaters. Labor, the heating elements and the salt spheres, plus wear, transport damage, misuse, improper installation, repairs outside Saunum's repair partners, and stones or salt spheres Saunum does not recommend.
Two conditions decide every claim. A completed installation report goes in with the claim, and the product must have been connected by a qualified electrician. The report form is in the back of the manual, so keep a copy.
Delivery damage. Report it within 48 hours of delivery, with photographs and before installing, because transport damage is not a warranty matter.
Who handles it. Claims go to Saunum's US technical support at Bathing Brands, and we take them there for you. Call (888) 500-5675 with your order number, model, serial number and photographs.
What if I need to return it?
What if I need to return it?
30 days from purchase. On a Saunum heater, AirSolo, AirIQ control or accessory that is new, uninstalled and resalable, in the original packaging with all parts. We handle the return, so you do not contact Saunum or the distributor.
Installed means final. A heater that has been wired in, switched on or loaded with stones cannot go back, and neither can an AirIQ or AirSolo that has been wired in, or an accessory that has been fitted.
What it costs. Full credit for the product, less a repackaging fee of 20 to 50 dollars depending on the item. There is no percentage restocking fee on a standard return.
Who pays the freight. You do on a change of mind. We cover it when the cause is shipping damage or our error. We never deduct the cost of free shipping from your refund, but shipping you paid at checkout is not refunded on a change of mind return.
Damaged on arrival. Note it on the delivery receipt before signing, photograph it, and report it within 48 hours of delivery, before the product is installed.
Stones. Not returnable once a box is opened, since stone is sold by weight.
Cancelling before it ships. No fee before we send the order to the distributor. After that an administrative fee of up to 5 percent may apply, and we waive it when we are not charged ourselves.
To start a return. Call (888) 500-5675 for a Return Authorization number before anything ships back. Refunds go to the original payment method within 7 business days of the return being received and inspected.

The short answer
The Saunum AirIQ Wi-Fi control: the touch panel and power unit that run a Saunum Air, Air L or Air Perfect sauna heater
Saunum's Air, Air L and Air Perfect heaters are built to work only with the AirIQ. It sets the sauna temperature, runs the heater and switches the heater's built-in fan through its three speeds, from a wall panel outside the sauna or from the Saunum app.
Buying a Saunum Air 5, Air 7, Air L 10, Air L 13, Air L 15, Air Perfect 7 or Air Perfect 10? You need one AirIQ, and the heater's buy box adds it as a required row. Add the Saunum AirIQ control to an Air Perfect too: Saunum's US distributor lists it as required for the Air Perfect. If your heater arrives with its own AirIQ panel, we refund the control. Saunum is based in Tallinn, Estonia; its heaters and controls are together in our Saunum sauna heaters collection.

Start the heater's air-mixing fan when you go in and pick its speed on the panel.
Ready when you are

Watch
Scheduling a session on the AirIQ
Tap Schedule, choose a one time or weekly session, pick a preset sauna type and confirm. Once the room reaches temperature the panel holds it for 30 minutes, then stops unless you confirm.

What it runs
Which Saunum heaters need the AirIQ control
Each Air, Air L and Air Perfect manual says the heater is designed to operate exclusively with the Saunum AirIQ control system, and Bathing Brands, Saunum's US distributor, lists it as required for operation.
| Saunum Air 5, 4,950 W | AirIQ required, ordered with the heater |
|---|---|
| Saunum Air 7, 6,900 W | AirIQ required |
| Saunum Air L 10, 9,900 W | AirIQ required |
| Saunum Air L 13, 12,900 W | AirIQ required |
| Saunum Air L 15, 15,000 W | AirIQ required |
| Saunum Air Perfect 7 and Air Perfect 10 | AirIQ required, per Saunum's US distributor; refunded if the heater ships with its own panel |
| Saunum AirSolo 70, 80 and Wall | Not used; the AirSolo has its own switch |
Power for the Air L 13 and Air L 15
Saunum's current US AirIQ manual (August 2026, as in 2025) rates the power unit for heaters up to 15.2 kW, so the AirIQ runs the Air L 13 (12,900 W) and the Air L 15 (15,000 W) directly, the same as the smaller Air and Air L models. An earlier 2023 edition of the manual capped it at 12 kW and called for a contactor box above that; we confirm which edition ships with your order, and your electrician follows the manual in the box.
Size the heater first: our sauna heater finder matches a room to a heater, and our electric sauna heaters sit side by side.
Building a new sauna? Our Saunum heater packages put the heater, this AirIQ and the stone in one order, priced at the parts added together.
The panel and the app
What the Saunum AirIQ panel and app do
A slim touch panel goes on the wall and a power unit switches the heater. You work it from the panel or the app.
Temperature, timing and three sauna types
Set the room anywhere from 104 to 194 °F. Three sauna types, which you can change and save, put a hot, dry round or a milder, steamier one a tap away. Choose a "sauna ready" time and the AirIQ has the room at temperature by then, or build a weekly schedule by day, time and sauna type. A screen lock doubles as a child lock.
The fan in the heater
The panel turns the heater's air-mixing fan on and sets one of three speeds. Saunum's manual says to keep the fan off while the room heats and run it only while you are in the sauna, though the AirIQ can start it on its own to protect against overheating.

The Saunum app over Wi-Fi
During setup the panel joins a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and shows a QR code that links the Saunum app, from Google Play or the App Store. The app works the panel remotely: set and watch the temperature, start the fan and pick its speed, see the heater's status and set a scheduled start. Wi-Fi is optional: choose "Set up offline" at the Wi-Fi step (older panels say "Skip"), and the panel runs the sauna on its own without it.
Remote start and the sauna door
Saunum's current US AirIQ manual makes a remote start subject to the control's safety checks and says heating will not start if the sauna door is open at the scheduled time. Bathing Brands' parts lists put a door sensor in the Air 5 and Air 7 boxes, and none in the Air L box or the AirIQ box, so we confirm before shipping whether your setup needs a door sensor for remote start. Once a scheduled session reaches temperature it runs for 30 minutes, then stops unless someone confirms it.
The sauna light
A light button on the panel switches the sauna light, which Saunum does not supply. Its Air wiring diagram allows up to 50 W of LED lighting on that output.
Before you order
Saunum AirIQ: plan these with your electrician
- A licensed electricianSaunum's AirIQ warranty requires one
- The heater circuitA 240 V single-phase feed, sized by your electrician to the heater manual and the NEC. Saunum's heater manuals rule out a GFCI on it
- A dry spot for the power unitOn a wall or at the electrical panel, somewhere that stays dry and never goes above 113 °F
- The panel wallOutside the sauna room and clear of water splashes; inside a protective enclosure if that wall is outdoors
- Wi-Fi at the panelA 2.4 GHz network that reaches the panel spot. Test it with your phone's mobile data turned off
- Remote start and the doorHeating will not start with the sauna door open; we confirm before shipping whether your setup needs a door sensor for remote start
- The temperature sensorOn the sauna wall 2 in below the ceiling, never above the heater and at least 20 in from a vent, window or door
What you get
What comes with the Saunum AirIQ, and how it ships
Saunum's current US AirIQ manual lists the set as a control panel, a control unit, a temperature sensor and the sensor and panel cables. Bathing Brands' parts list for the AirIQ box shows the panel and power unit; the sensors ship in the heater's box.

Buyer questions
Saunum AirIQ control: common questions
Do I need the Saunum AirIQ for my Saunum heater?
Yes, for the Air 5, Air 7, Air L 10, Air L 13, Air L 15, Air Perfect 7 and Air Perfect 10. Each of their manuals says the heater operates exclusively with the Saunum AirIQ control, so none of them runs without one.
Should I add the Saunum AirIQ to a Saunum Air Perfect?
Yes. Saunum's US distributor lists the AirIQ as required for the Air Perfect 7 and Air Perfect 10, so their buy boxes add it as a required row. We confirm with each order, and if your Air Perfect arrives with its own AirIQ panel, we refund the control.
Can the Saunum AirIQ run a Harvia, HUUM or other brand of heater?
We sell the AirIQ only as the control for Saunum's Air, Air L and Air Perfect heaters, the use Saunum's documents describe. For another brand, use that heater maker's own control; our sauna controls collection lists them.
Does the Saunum AirIQ work without Wi-Fi?
Yes. Wi-Fi is optional: choose "Set up offline" at the Wi-Fi step (older panels say "Skip"), and the panel then runs temperature, fan speed, sauna types and schedules on its own. You give up the app and remote start, and software updates need internet, which a phone hotspot can supply.
Can I start my sauna from my phone with the Saunum AirIQ?
Yes, through the Saunum app on a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network, subject to the control's safety checks: Saunum's current US AirIQ manual says heating will not start if the sauna door is open. We confirm before shipping whether your setup needs a door sensor for remote start. A scheduled session that reaches temperature runs 30 minutes, then switches off unless you confirm it.
Where is the Saunum AirIQ panel mounted? Can it go inside the sauna?
Outside the sauna room, on a wall away from water splashes, and in a protective enclosure if that wall is outdoors, per Saunum's heater manuals. The power unit needs a dry spot no warmer than 113 °F.
Will the Saunum AirIQ handle the Air L 13 and Air L 15?
Yes, directly. Saunum's current US AirIQ manual rates the power unit for heaters up to 15.2 kW, and the Air L 13 (12,900 W) and Air L 15 (15,000 W) are both within that. Your electrician connects the power unit and the heater from the manuals in the box.
Does the Saunum AirIQ control the Saunum AirSolo?
No. The AirSolo 70, 80 and Wall each run from their own switch, with no link to any heater control. The AirIQ drives the fan built into Saunum's Air, Air L and Air Perfect heaters.
What warranty comes with the Saunum AirIQ?
Two years in a private sauna, one year in a public one, from the date of purchase. Saunum supplies replacement parts for manufacturing or material faults once the faulty part is returned. It needs the completed installation protocol and a licensed electrician's connection, and covers the original purchaser's first installation only.
Who should install the Saunum AirIQ?
A licensed, certified electrician, ideally at the same visit as the heater. Saunum's manual reserves the job for a licensed professional, the warranty depends on it, and the electrician also places the sensors from the heater's box and signs the installation protocol.
One last thing
Order the Saunum AirIQ with your heater
Buying a Saunum Air, Air L or Air Perfect heater? The AirIQ is a required row in that heater's buy box, so it goes into the same order. Replacing a control, or adding one to a heater you already own? Add the AirIQ to your cart above. Not sure which heater you have? Call us.
