Free shipping to the lower 48. Your Almagia International order ships free to any address in the contiguous 48 US states, as standard insured parcel via ground carrier.
When it arrives. Orders ship within 1 to 2 business days of payment confirmation from the US distribution center in Brooklyn, NY, and standard delivery takes 4 to 7 business days from the ship date. You get a tracking number by email once your order leaves the warehouse. Transit times are carrier estimates.
How it arrives. Almagia devices are compact enough to ship without freight scheduling or delivery appointments. No liftgate or freight truck is required, and your device arrives at your door like a standard parcel delivery.
If it arrives damaged. Photograph the exterior of the shipping box before opening, then photograph any damage to the device or its contents and email the photos to us within 48 hours of delivery. We will file the carrier claim and arrange a replacement or issue a full refund, your choice. Later reports cannot be guaranteed.
Alaska, Hawaii and international. Shipping beyond the contiguous 48 states is not available at standard checkout; contact us before ordering to discuss options and obtain an estimate.
What does the warranty cover?

How long. Almagia devices manufactured by the ELAMED factory carry a limited 2 year warranty from the purchase date.
What is covered. Device replacement for malfunctions caused by a manufacturing defect, on devices supplied new through Recovery Room Direct as an authorized dealer.
What is not. Misuse or accidental damage, water damage, damage in the carrier's possession, claimed through carrier insurance instead, and use outside the parameters in the instruction manual.
Do not open the device. A device found opened or unscrewed has its warranty voided and is returned to you at your expense. Call us before taking it apart.
Sending it in. Returns for service must ship insured; uninsured packages may be refused.

14 days from delivery. This window is shorter than most of what we carry. The device must come back unused and like new in its original packaging with all components, accessories, applicators and documentation. Devices that have been used, powered on for treatment, or are missing components are not eligible.
What a return costs. A 15 percent restocking fee may be deducted from your refund. Return shipping is the buyer's responsibility, and we recommend a trackable, insured carrier.
Cancelling before it ships. Before we submit your order to the manufacturer there is no fee. After we submit it but before it ships, an administrative fee of up to 5 percent may apply, and we waive it whenever we are not charged. Once the device has shipped the 14 day return process applies.
Warranty claims. A manufacturing defect outside the 14 day return window is covered by the manufacturer's 2 year warranty from the original purchase date. We handle all warranty coordination with Almagia International on your behalf as an authorized dealer.
To start a return. Call (888) 500-5675 with your order number and proof of purchase and we issue a Return Authorization number with full instructions. Do not ship the device back until you have it, because packages received without a valid RA number will be refused. Refunds are issued within 5 to 7 business days of the device being received and inspected.

The ELAMED DIAMAG (ALMAG-03) PEMF device
The DIAMAG, which ELAMED also designates the ALMAG-03, pairs a mains-powered control unit with two flexible emitter lines of six coils each. The lines strap together into a headband, and the control unit runs one of four preset pulsed electromagnetic field programs through them.
ELAMED makes it in Russia, and Almagia International in Brooklyn, New York, distributes it in the US alongside the ALMAG-01, the ALMAG+, the MAGOFON-01 and the ALMAG-02.

What it is
How the DIAMAG is built
Two parts: a desktop control unit and a pair of emitter lines, each on its own 1.2 m (3.9 ft) cable.
Each emitter line is a flexible strip of six coils, which ELAMED calls inductors, so there are twelve in all. Every line ends in a buckle at each side. The two straps in the box pass through those buckles and join the lines into a headband, and you adjust the fit by pulling the free ends of the straps. The working face of each coil is marked "N" for north, and that face goes toward the body. The lines can also be used on their own rather than joined.
The control unit
The unit has its own mains switch, a digital display and two buttons on the front panel: an arrow button that steps through the programs and an ON/OFF button that starts and stops a session. The display shows the program number and both the set time and the time left, with a blinking dot while the field is running. An orange light shows that mains power is on, and a red light shows the field is running. The unit beeps at the end of a session. If it detects a fault it stops, beeps and shows "E" on the display, and it then needs service; call us and we arrange it with Almagia.
Wearing it
ELAMED's manual recommends a disposable layer between the coils and the skin or hair, such as a non-woven wipe or a disposable cap. The coil faces stay no warmer than 41 °C (about 106 °F) while the device runs.
Keep the emitter cables free of kinks when you put the headband on and take it off.

Traveling and stationary fields
In a traveling field the coils fire one after another along each line, from coil 1 to coil 6, and the cycle repeats, so the field moves along the emitter. In the stationary field of program 4 all the coils fire together. Where a program uses packets of pulses, the packet rate changes on its own across its range and back while the program runs.

Day to day
Running the DIAMAG
A session, step by step
Switch the unit on at the mains switch and the orange light comes on. Step to the program you want with the arrow button, put the headband on, and press ON/OFF. The red light comes on and the display counts down. When the preset time runs out the unit beeps and stops by itself, and pressing ON/OFF ends a session early. The time itself cannot be changed. The unit reaches its working mode within 60 seconds of being switched on.
Duty cycle
ELAMED rates the DIAMAG for 20 minutes of operation followed by a 5 minute break, a cycle it can keep up for at least 8 hours.
Checking that it works
A small magnetic field indicator comes in the box. Hold it against a coil while a program is running and its light blinks when the field is present. ELAMED asks for this function check at least once a year, and a visual inspection of the cables, plug, housing and coils at least every three months.
Cleaning and storage
Disinfect the outer surfaces before the first use and after every use: wipe them with a cloth moistened with a disinfectant such as 3% hydrogen peroxide, and keep liquid out of the control unit and the coils. Use and store the DIAMAG in a dry room, away from direct sun, heat and knocks, and out of reach of unsupervised children. Whenever it is plugged in, keep it at least 0.5 m (20 in) from magnetic cards and storage media. Never pull the plug out or carry the unit by its cord, and use only the parts supplied with it. After shipping or storage in the cold, let it stand at room temperature for at least 4 hours before switching it on.

DIAMAG contraindications and precautions
ELAMED intends the DIAMAG for home use on a physician's recommendation, and its manual asks users to consult their physician before using it. The list below combines the contraindications in ELAMED's current manual with its earlier English list, which adds implanted defibrillators and systemic blood diseases.
Do not use the DIAMAG with an implanted pacemaker or defibrillator, or during pregnancy. Read the full list below and the operating manual before the first session.
- Malignant neoplasms.
- Significant heart rhythm or conduction disorders, including atrial fibrillation, paroxysmal tachycardia, grade 4 to 5 ventricular extrasystole and second or third degree AV block.
- Intracerebral haemorrhage of any cause, and epilepsy.
- An implanted pacemaker or defibrillator.
- Aneurysm of the heart, aorta or large vessels.
- Uncontrolled severe high blood pressure, or markedly low blood pressure (below 90/60 mmHg).
- Respiratory failure.
- Acute infection or inflammation, fever of any cause, and purulent processes of the head.
- Active tuberculosis.
- Alcohol or drug intoxication, and psychomotor agitation.
- Reduced blood clotting, bleeding of any kind, and systemic blood diseases.
- Thyrotoxicosis.
- Pregnancy.
The manual notes that metal dental prostheses are not a contraindication. When you first start using the DIAMAG, it advises measuring blood pressure before a session and again 20 to 30 minutes after it, because pressure may rise or fall, especially in people whose blood pressure tends to be unstable; a change of more than 25 mmHg calls for a physician's advice before the next session. Never run a session longer than the time the manual's instructions give. The DIAMAG is not suitable for use in an oxygen-enriched environment, and a unit with a damaged cable, housing or coil must not be used.
