ELAMED makes these devices and Almagia International brings them to the US: PEMF units in handheld, traveling and multi-coil formats, plus the EASYTON tonometer.

Almagia PEMF Devices, Built by ELAMED

ELAMED (Yelatma Instrument-Making Enterprise) is a Russian medical device maker. Its quality management system is certified to ISO 13485:2016. Almagia International in Brooklyn, New York, is ELAMED's US distributor, and Recovery Room Direct is an authorized Almagia dealer.

In a traveling field the coils fire one after another in a repeating cycle, so the field moves along the emitter instead of pulsing in one place. The ALMAG-01 runs only a traveling field; the ALMAG+, ALMAG-02 and DIAMAG can also fire all coils together.

What Sets the Almagia Range Apart

Traveling Field

On the ALMAG-01, ALMAG+, DIAMAG and ALMAG-02 the coils can fire one after another, so the field moves along the emitter instead of staying in one spot.

ISO 13485 Quality System

ELAMED's quality management system is certified to ISO 13485:2016, the international standard for medical device makers.

Sessions That End on Their Own

The ALMAG-01 stops after about 18 minutes, and the ALMAG+ and DIAMAG after 20. On the ALMAG-02 you set the time from 1 to 30 minutes.

Authorized Almagia Dealer

Recovery Room Direct is an authorized dealer for Almagia International, ELAMED's US distributor. Orders ship free from Almagia's warehouse in Brooklyn, NY. ELAMED's manufacturer warranty varies by model (12 to 36 months); see our Almagia warranty page.

How the Almagia Devices Differ

The range covers two kinds of output: coils whose field can travel or hold still, and a handheld unit that adds vibration to its magnetic field.

01

Coils That Fire in Sequence

The ALMAG-01 fires its four coils one after another in a repeating cycle. The ALMAG+ does the same in two of its modes, the DIAMAG fires two lines of six coils in sequence, and the ALMAG-02 offers traveling programs across its emitters.

02

Field Strength at the Coil Surface

Each manual prints the peak field at the working surface: 20 mT on the ALMAG-01, 20, 8 or 6 mT by mode on the ALMAG+, 10 mT on the DIAMAG (8 mT in program 4) and 30 mT on the MAGOFON-01. The ALMAG-02 sets it per program.

03

A Handheld Unit That Adds Vibration

The MAGOFON-01 pairs its magnetic field with vibration across the 0.02 to 20 kHz sound range at the contact point. You hold it against one area instead of strapping on a line of coils.

Safety Information: Read Before You Order

Each device ships with an ELAMED operating manual. Its safety instructions and contraindications apply, and each product page repeats them.

Who Should Not Use Almagia Devices

The ALMAG-01, ALMAG+, ALMAG-02, DIAMAG and MAGOFON-01 manuals all list these contraindications:

  • Pregnancy
  • Malignant tumors
  • Systemic blood diseases
  • Thyrotoxicosis
  • Acute purulent inflammation, infection or fever
  • An implanted pacemaker (the ALMAG-01, ALMAG+ and MAGOFON-01 manuals limit this to the area where the device is placed)

Some models add bleeding or clotting disorders, heart rhythm disorders, aneurysm or alcohol intoxication. Read the full list on each product page before you order, and talk to your doctor first if you have a medical condition.

Before You Order an Almagia Device: Six Things to Know

1

Size and Setup

The ALMAG-02 is the large console of the range, with 79 preset programs and several emitter types, sold to practices as well as homes. The other models are compact units with one applicator set each.

2

One Setting or Several?

If you want one setting, the ALMAG-01 runs a single program and stops after about 18 minutes. The ALMAG+ adds two more modes, one at 8 mT instead of 20 mT and one with all four coils firing together.

3

Power Requirements

Every PEMF model runs on mains power, not batteries. On 120 V, 60 Hz the ALMAG-01 draws 35 VA and the ALMAG+ up to 55 VA, per their manuals. Each product page lists its own model's power figures.

4

Returns and Warranty

Unused devices in original packaging can be returned within 14 days of delivery with an RA number; a 15% restocking fee may apply (see our Almagia return policy page). ELAMED's manufacturer warranty varies by model (12 to 36 months); see our Almagia warranty page.

5

Contraindications Matter

Each manual lists its own contraindications. Pregnancy, malignant tumors, systemic blood diseases, thyrotoxicosis and an implanted pacemaker appear on every ALMAG, DIAMAG and MAGOFON-01 list. Read the full list on the product page before you order.

6

Free Shipping from Brooklyn, NY

Orders ship free to the contiguous 48 states from Almagia's warehouse in Brooklyn, NY, within 1 to 2 business days, then take 4 to 7 business days in transit as an insured parcel with tracking (see our Almagia shipping policy page). The EASYTON tonometer is a prescription device and does not ship to California; see its product page.

What a Morning PEMF Session Looks Like

It is 6:30 in the morning, twenty minutes before you need to leave. You take the ALMAG-01 from the shelf, lay the four-coil applicator along your back, and press the start button. A small indicator light confirms the session is running. You go make coffee. Somewhere in the time it takes to pour and pack your bag, the device runs its 18-minute cycle and shuts itself off. You fold the applicator, return it to the shelf, and head out. That's the whole routine: place it, start it, let it run. No settings to configure, no timer to manage.

The ALMAG-02 works differently. Its console stores 79 preset programs, each with its own field type, strength and session time, and it takes several emitter types, so the user picks the program and the emitter for each session.

Choosing the Right Almagia Device

If you want one program and nothing to set → ALMAG-01

One traveling-field program at 20 mT on four coils, with each coil at 7.5 Hz on the 120 V unit, and a session that stops on its own after about 18 minutes.

If you want more than one mode → ALMAG+

A four-coil traveling field at 20 mT like the ALMAG-01, plus a second mode at 8 mT and a third that fires all four coils together at 6 mT.

If you want a strap-on headband format → DIAMAG

Two lines of six coils strap together into a headband, with four preset programs and sessions that stop after 20 minutes.

If you want a handheld unit → MAGOFON-01

You hold it against one area. It adds sound-range vibration to a low-frequency magnetic field, a different format from the coil devices.

If you need 79 preset programs and several emitter types → ALMAG-02

Almagia Devices: Frequently Asked Questions

Which Almagia device should I choose?

Start with the format. The ALMAG-01 is a control unit with four coils on one flexible line, running one traveling-field program that stops after about 18 minutes. The ALMAG+ uses four coils in two pairs and adds two modes: the same traveling field at 8 mT instead of 20 mT, and a stationary field at 6 mT. The DIAMAG has two six-coil lines that strap together into a headband, with four preset programs. The MAGOFON-01 is a handheld unit that pairs a magnetic field with sound-range vibration. The ALMAG-02 is the large console of the range, with 79 preset programs and several emitter types. Call us at (888) 500-5675 and we can walk you through the hardware of each one.

What is a traveling magnetic field?

In a traveling field the coils fire one after another in a repeating cycle, so the field moves along the emitter instead of pulsing in one place. The ALMAG-01 runs only a traveling field. The ALMAG+, DIAMAG and ALMAG-02 can run a traveling field or fire all their coils together as a stationary field. The peak field each model produces at the coil surface is printed in its operating manual and listed on its product page.

Who should not use Almagia devices?

Each model's operating manual has its own list of contraindications, so read the list on the product page before you order. The ALMAG-01, ALMAG+, ALMAG-02, DIAMAG and MAGOFON-01 manuals all list pregnancy, malignant tumors, systemic blood diseases, thyrotoxicosis, acute purulent inflammation, infection or fever, and an implanted pacemaker (the ALMAG-01, ALMAG+ and MAGOFON-01 manuals limit this to the area where the device is placed). Some models add bleeding or clotting disorders, heart rhythm disorders, aneurysm or alcohol intoxication. If you have a medical condition, talk to your doctor before use.

What warranty do Almagia devices carry?

ELAMED's manufacturer warranty varies by model (12 to 36 months); see our Almagia warranty page. Each model's term is printed in its operating manual. For a claim, call (888) 500-5675 or email sales@recoveryroomdirect.com with your order number, and we coordinate it with Almagia International.

What is the return policy for Almagia devices?

You can return an Almagia device within 14 days of delivery if it is unused and like new, in its original packaging with every part and document. A Return Authorization (RA) number is required first: call (888) 500-5675 or email sales@recoveryroomdirect.com. A 15% restocking fee may apply, and the buyer pays return shipping. A device that has been used or powered on cannot be returned. Full terms are on our Almagia return policy page.
