How does delivery work?
How does delivery work?
Free to the contiguous 48. Every Power Plate model we sell ships free within the contiguous 48 states.
How it arrives. The pro and my series platforms travel by freight; the MOVE, the Personal Power Plate and the REV travel by a carrier Power Plate selects. These are heavy machines, so plan for someone to be there to receive the delivery and sign for it.
Check your access first. Power Plate's manuals say never to lift or move a platform without assistance, and its dealer terms include no inside delivery or placement. Check door widths, steps and turns between the delivery point and the room, and ask us before you order if you need the machine carried inside.
When it ships. Power Plate publishes a lead time of usually within 4 weeks and treats every shipping date as an estimate. We confirm your delivery date once the order is placed and pass on the carrier's appointment details as soon as we have them. If a date does not work, tell us straight away.
Where it ships. Free shipping covers the contiguous 48 states. Power Plate charges extra for Alaska, Hawaii and Canada, so those are quoted case by case: contact us before ordering.
If it arrives damaged. Check the shipment with the driver still there, write any damage on the delivery receipt before you sign, and photograph the packaging and the machine. Then call us the same day and we handle the carrier claim. Power Plate's manuals say never to run a machine that has been dropped, tipped over or damaged until an authorized Power Plate service professional has checked it.
What does the warranty cover?
What does the warranty cover?
Coverage by model. pro8, my8, pro5, pro5HP, my5 and MOVE: 3 years on hardware, 1 year on electronics, 1 year on labor. REV: 2 years on the frame and gearbox, 1 year on electronics, 6 months on wear parts. Personal Power Plate: 1 year on hardware, electronics and labor.
From the date of purchase. Keep your order confirmation. The terms cover machines bought, delivered and used in the United States.
What is covered. A machine Power Plate finds defective as a result of manufacturing. Power Plate chooses whether to repair it, replace it or refund the purchase price, and that is the remedy the warranty gives.
What is not. Faults caused by improper use, storage or handling, by not maintaining the machine with reasonable care, or by abnormal conditions including abuse, neglect or catastrophe.
Two things void it. The pro8 and my8 manuals say pulling the proMOTION cables past the colored line voids the warranty, and that unauthorized changes or maintenance could void it. There are no user serviceable parts inside, so any service goes to an authorized Power Plate service professional.
Business use. Power Plate's terms limit the warranty to machines bought for resale or for use in that business. How that applies to a particular gym, studio or clinic is something we confirm with Power Plate before you order, so ask us first.
Who handles it. Performance Health Systems, the company behind Power Plate, is the warrantor and we handle every claim for you. Call (888) 500-5675 with your order number, model, serial number and photographs.
What if I need to return it?
What if I need to return it?
30 days from delivery. The machine must be in new condition with all its accessories. Any damage to the machine while it was in your hands may be deducted from the refund, so keep the packaging until you are sure you are keeping it.
What a return costs. A restocking fee may apply: 15 percent of the purchase price on an opened machine and 5 percent on one still unopened in its packaging. The free shipping on your original order is never deducted.
Who pays the freight. You do on a change of mind. Power Plate's refund policy says its My Series and Pro Series platforms must be delivered, installed and picked up by Power Plate authorized partners if returned, so we arrange it and give you the return freight figure before the pickup is booked.
When the cause is ours. If it is shipping damage or an error on our side, we cover the return and nothing is deducted, and no restocking fee applies to documented freight damage.
Damaged on arrival. A different and faster process. Note it on the delivery receipt before signing, photograph the packaging and the machine, and call us the same day. We handle the carrier claim.
Cancelling before it ships. No fee before we place the order with Power Plate. After that an administrative fee of up to 5 percent may apply, we waive it whenever we are not charged, and there is no fee at all if we miss the ship date we gave you.
Accessories, and how to start. Same 30 day window, but Power Plate accepts accessories back only unopened and unused. Call (888) 500-5675; a Return Authorization number is required before anything goes back.

Whole body vibration, set by keypad
The Power Plate pro5 whole body vibration plate
The pro5 is a 25 to 50 Hz vibration platform run from a keypad console, with a second set of controls on the column and a maximum load of 400 lb. Power Plate builds it for homes as well as hotels, spas, resorts and health clubs.
The pro5 has no touchscreen and no program library. Pick a frequency, a time and Low or High, press Start, then hold a squat, a push-up or a stretch on the plate while it runs.
The space
34 x 47 in, 60 in tall
Needs a hard, level floor and three feet of open space on every side. The pro5 weighs 298 lb on its own.
Who it is for
Healthy adults, 16 and over
Rated to carry up to 400 lb. Other users need a physician's clearance and should train only with medical supervision.
Power
A grounded outlet
Runs on any 100 to 240 volt, 50 or 60 Hz supply. The manual does not call for a dedicated circuit.
Watch
A tour of the pro5 from Power Plate
Power Plate's product tour of the pro5 runs about five and a half minutes, in chapters: an overview, the console controls and other useful features.
If you only want the keypad, skip to the console chapter. The written specifications below come from Power Plate's current listing and documents.

Before you order
Where the pro5 goes
Measure the spot first. Power Plate lists the pro5 at 34 inches wide, 47 inches deep and 60 inches tall.
The floor
Power Plate's manual asks for a hard, level surface, in an area with no obstructions within at least three feet of the platform. On the pro5 that border gets used: push-ups and planks put your hands or feet on the floor beside the base.
The room
The pro5 belongs indoors. Keep it away from pools, taps and anywhere very humid, since water reaching the electronics could short them. Its rated operating range is 50 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit, which a garage that goes cold in winter can fall below. The plug is how you cut power, so leave it within reach, and pull it whenever the machine is idle.

What it costs to run
The pro5 draws 160 to 265 VA, per its manual. Take the higher figure as watts and run it flat out for a full hour, and at June 2026's US average home rate of 18.34 cents per kilowatt hour (EIA) the bill comes to roughly 5 cents. A real session lasts minutes, not an hour.
Who it suits
Who the pro5 is for, and who should ask a doctor first
Power Plate designs the pro5 for fitness and exercise, for healthy adults aged 16 and over who are medically cleared for weight bearing exercise. Everyone else should be cleared by their physician and use it only under medical supervision.
Power Plate's physician-reviewed guidance: "You should not use a vibration plate without your doctor’s approval if you: Are pregnant; Have a pacemaker or implanted medical device; Have cardiovascular disease, uncontrolled high blood pressure, or serious heart conditions; Have had recent surgery, especially joint replacements or spinal procedures; Have deep vein thrombosis (DVT), blood clots, or clotting disorders." No list covers every condition, so your own doctor decides.
Check with a physician before starting any new exercise program, and if you feel faint, dizzy, nauseous or short of breath, or have any pain, stop at once and consult a physician. The manual states that "close supervision is required when the machine is used by, or near, children or disabled persons", and adds that children should be supervised so they do not play with it. People with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or without experience of the machine, should use it only with supervision or instruction from someone responsible for their safety.
Posture on the plate
The manual's rules for posture: knees soft and over the toes, weight toward the balls of the feet instead of the heels, and no locked knees or elbows. Use the handles to steady yourself stepping on and off, not to hang from. Power Plate advises against adding weights unless a trainer is coaching you or you already have plenty of experience with weight training or with the machine.
First sessions should be short and gentle, at a low frequency on Low. Add time and intensity step by step as your body gets used to the vibration, and stop well short of exhaustion. The manual also asks you to drink water before, during and after each session.
Rules from the pro5 manual
- Follow the directions on the console.
- Never reach into or under the machine, or tip it on its side, while it is running, and never put objects into any opening. If something falls in, switch the machine off and pull the plug before you try to retrieve it; if you cannot reach it, call an authorized Power Plate service professional.
- Use only the attachments and accessories that come with it or that Power Plate has approved.
- Do not run it after it has been dropped, tipped over, damaged or even partly in water until an authorized Power Plate service professional has cleared it.
- Check that it works safely before each use, examine it regularly for damage and wear, and unplug it before cleaning or servicing.
- A damaged power cord must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or a similarly qualified person.
- Do not try to fix a problem with the power supply to the machine yourself. The manual strongly recommends a licensed, professional electrician.
- It is not suitable for use where flammable anesthetic mixtures with air, oxygen or nitrous oxide are present.
- Share these warnings with anyone else who trains on it, at home or in a business.
How it works
What the pro5 platform does
Three settings shape every pro5 session: speed of movement, size of movement and length of the set.
Frequency, amplitude and time
Frequency is how many times the platform moves each second: 25 to 50 Hz on the pro5, adjustable in 1 Hz steps, with one touch presets at 30, 35, 40 and 50 Hz. Amplitude is how far the plate moves vertically with each vibration, and the pro5 offers two settings, Low and High. The timer has presets of 30, 45 and 60 seconds and runs up to 9 minutes.
Power Plate's suggested settings
The manual gives these starting points by type of exercise:
- Stretching. Between 30 and 40 Hz, on Low.
- Strength. No more than 40 Hz, starting on Low and progressing to High.
- Massage. Up to the maximum of 50 Hz, and High is acceptable.
- Relaxation. No more than 40 Hz, on Low.
When you raise the frequency or move to High, shorten the work and lengthen the rest. Power Plate recommends 2 to 3 sessions a week.
Holding a position under tension
In Power Plate's description, tensed muscles are what take up the vibration. That is why pro5 work is done with the muscles working, a bent-knee squat or a braced plank, rather than standing loosely with straight legs, which the manual warns can lead to injury.
What sets the pro5 apart
The large platform on the Power Plate pro5

Power Plate lists the pro5 platform at 34 by 30 inches, and says its large plate surface allows a wider range of exercises and carries vibration to more of your body in some of them.
Power Plate's exercise drawings for the pro5 show a push-up with the hands on the plate, a squat holding a static strap, and a calf stretch.
The pro5's manual lists no proMOTION cables, the electronic resistance cables found on the pro8.
Use the mat whenever any part of your body other than your shoes touches the plate. Power Plate asks for rubber soled shoes when you stand on the platform, and the mat if you train in socks or bare feet. The mat dampens the vibration.
The controls
The pro5 keypad console and column controls
An LCD display with a keypad sits at the top of the column, and Power Plate lists a secondary timer and controls on the column, which its product tour video shows low on the column.
Start, Repeat and Stop run along the top, with minus and plus keys to step the frequency by 1 Hz or adjust the time. Below the display sit one touch keys for 30, 35, 40 and 50 Hz, for 30, 45 and 60 seconds, and for Low and High.

The power switch is a rocker switch on the lower back of the column. For exercise ideas, Power Plate points owners to its Power Plate App, and an exercise poster comes in the box.
Putting a pro5 in a business
The pro5 manual describes a consumer and commercial machine and lists homes, hotels, spas and resorts, and health clubs among its intended facilities. Every preset is a single button, so a new user can start a set without learning menus. If the pro5 is for a business, reach our commercial team or phone (888) 500-5675 first, and we will check whether Power Plate's warranty covers commercial use before you commit.
What you get
What comes with the Power Plate pro5
- The pro5 platform and column
- Hand straps (set of 2)
- Exercise mat
- Protection cover
- Power cord
- Exercise poster
- Instructions for use
Power Plate lists a Power Shield for the pro5 as an option. It is not in the box.

Looking after it
There are no user serviceable parts inside. To clean it, unplug it and wait at least a minute, then use a moist cloth on the finish, a soft brush on the platform and the mat, and a dry cloth on anything electrical, never spraying cleaner straight onto the machine. If it starts to rattle, the manual says to unplug it, wait a minute and check that the feet are properly tightened. Anything beyond that goes to an authorized Power Plate service professional, because unauthorized changes or maintenance could void the warranty.

Which one fits
For a touchscreen, programs, electronic cables and a 500 lb load at the same 25 to 50 Hz, look at the Power Plate pro8. For that span in a platform 13 inches tall, see the Power Plate pro5HP. If 30 to 40 Hz is enough, the Power Plate my5 is smaller and lighter. The full lineup sits on our whole body vibration platforms page, and the broader range is in our vibration therapy collection.
