How does delivery work?
How does delivery work?
Free freight to the contiguous 48. On every Finnmark sauna and the SoulCold plunge. Accessories travel by parcel and follow the store threshold, shown at checkout before you pay.
Freight, not parcel. Saunas ship palletized, as flat panels rather than a finished room. The carrier books a window, someone signs, and delivery is curbside rather than inside.
Plan for the weight. An FD-1 crate is about 349 pounds and the barrels are over 1,000. Two people, and somewhere flat and dry to stage it.
Measure the route before the truck comes. A sauna arrives as panels, so the narrowest doorway, stair turn or lift matters more than the finished footprint. Tell us first if a truck cannot reach your door.
If it arrives damaged. Note it on the paperwork before signing, photograph it, and tell us within 48 hours. If a pallet is punctured, crushed or structurally damaged, refuse it and call us while the driver is there.
Where we ship. The contiguous 48. Canada is a flat freight charge. Puerto Rico, Alaska and Hawaii are quoted case by case. No P.O. boxes.
Not included: the electrical work. Every Finnmark sauna wants a dedicated circuit of the rating on its page, and the cabins are a two person build. Professional setup and assembly is available.
What does the warranty cover?
What does the warranty cover?
Lifetime on the Spectrum Plus elements. In home use, indoors and outdoors. That is the longest heater term on any brand we carry.
Ten years on the rest. The Spectrum Carbon heaters and the LED lighting run 10 years. The cabin and the controls run 10 years indoors, 5 outdoors. Remotes and the seat cushion are 1 year.
Not covered. Anything not fitted at the factory. The optional outdoor cover is warranted by material, 5 years on the roof and 10 on the side walls.
Residential only. Finnmark's terms are written for home use, so ask us to confirm cover in writing before you order for a gym, studio or rental.
Two conditions decide most claims. Assembled and placed as the manual requires, including 3 inches of clearance all round and a dedicated circuit. And damage found on delivery reported within 48 hours, with photographs, before assembly.
The Harvia stove and the plunge are separate. The stove inside a Trinity carries Harvia's warranty. The SoulCold has its own 1 year consumer term.
Who handles it. We file the claim for you. Call with your order number, the model, and the serial number from the plate under the bench. Ask and we will send you a free copy of the full warranty before you buy.
What if I need to return it?
What if I need to return it?
30 days from purchase. On a Finnmark sauna or the SoulCold plunge. We handle it, so you do not contact the manufacturer or the distributor yourself.
What a return costs. A restocking fee of up to 5% may apply on a change of mind, and we waive it whenever we are not charged ourselves. Consumables such as the SoulCold filter packs are not returnable once opened.
Who pays the return freight. You do on a change of mind, which on a palletized sauna is the real cost to weigh up. We pay the return freight when the cause is shipping damage or our error.
Original shipping. Not refunded on a change of mind return, and we never deduct the outbound freight from your refund.
Condition. New, unassembled and resalable in the original packaging with all parts. A sauna whose panels have been screwed together cannot go back.
Damaged on arrival. A different and faster process. Note it before signing, photograph it, and report within 48 hours before assembly. Refuse a punctured or crushed pallet and call us.
To start a return. Call or email with your order number. We issue the Return Authorization number, required before anything ships back, and send the address with it.

The short answer
The Finnmark SoulCold is a one person cold plunge that also runs warm, from 34 to 108 degrees
Most plunges only go one way. The SoulCold's chiller both cools and heats, so the same 304 stainless tub gives you a cold plunge at 34 degrees or a warm soak at 108, set from the touchscreen or the app. The chiller is included rather than an upgrade. It runs on an ordinary 110 to 120 volt circuit with the supplied GFCI plug, and the single thing to get right before it arrives is where it stands.
The tub
79.8 × 35 in
Thirty inches high, about 180 gallons, 304 stainless steel with Canadian Western Red Cedar slats and a cedar backrest. One person, full body.
The range
34 to 108 °F
Cold and warm in one tub, adjustable. Cooling capacity 4.45 kilowatts, heating 4.36, with a COP of 4.20.
The power
120 V, 15 A
110 to 120 volts at 60 Hz, 15 amps on AWG14 wire, through the GFCI plug Finnmark supplies. A licensed electrician confirms the circuit.
Fit
Inside the Finnmark SoulCold: 180 gallons, one person, full body immersion
Almost six feet eight long and thirty inches high, so you lie back rather than fold up. The cedar backrest is the part you notice at 40 degrees.
| Tub | 79.8 in W x 35 in D x 30 in H |
|---|---|
| Water | About 180 gallons |
| Capacity | One person |
| Chiller | 21.3 in W x 15.4 in D x 25 in H, 103 lb |
| Dry weight | 460 lb |
| Filled weight | 1,650 lb |
That filled figure is the one that decides the location. Sixteen hundred and fifty pounds over roughly nineteen square feet is more than most timber decks are built for without checking, and it is not a number you can undo once the tub is full.

Cold and warm from the same chiller
The chiller is a heat pump, so it works in both directions: 4.45 kilowatts of cooling or 4.36 of heating, from an input of 1.06 kilowatts, which is where the quoted COP of 4.20 comes from. Set the target on the on-unit LCD touchscreen, on the LED remote, or from the iOS and Android app over WiFi. That app control is worth naming because it is genuinely different from Finnmark's saunas, which carry Bluetooth for audio only.
Sanitation is an integrated ozone generator plus a filter, which Finnmark's dealer file lists as 20 micron. The manual asks you to inspect the mesh filter and the main filter and to replace the paper core roughly every thirty days, so budget for filters the way you would for any circulating water.
Before you order
Five checks before the Finnmark SoulCold ships
Placement is almost the whole install on this product. Four of these five are about where it stands.
- A surface that carries 1,650 poundsThat is the filled weight over about nineteen square feet. A slab is straightforward; a timber deck or a suspended floor is worth a structural opinion before you order
- Floor drainageThe manual asks for proper floor drainage at the location, because the chiller produces condensation in humid conditions and the tub has to be emptied to be cleaned
- Air around the chillerThe manual says to avoid enclosed spaces. Poor heat dissipation causes overheating, and the manual states overheating damage is not covered under warranty
- A level spotThe manual requires a level surface adequate to support the weight, for storing and moving as well as for use
- A 15 amp circuit and a GFCI110 to 120 volts at 15 amps on AWG14. Finnmark supplies the GFCI plug and the manual requires a licensed electrician and compliance with local and federal codes
If you are weighing this against another tub, compare it with the rest of the cold plunges we carry, or narrow to the cold plunges with chillers.
Construction
Three things about the Finnmark SoulCold you cannot change later
Filters and covers are consumable. These three are decided when it is made.
The tub is 304 stainless, not acrylic
304 stainless steel is non porous, which is why it is the normal choice where water sits and gets cleaned often. It also holds temperature better than a thin acrylic shell, which shows up in how hard the chiller has to work. Finnmark builds the whole tub from it rather than lining a plastic shell.
The cedar is the part you touch
Canadian Western Red Cedar makes up the cabinet slats and the backrest. The backrest is the detail that decides whether you last four minutes at 40 degrees or two, and it is not something that can be added afterwards.
The chiller is included and sized to the tub
On a lot of plunges the chiller is a separate purchase, sized by guesswork. Here it ships with the tub, rated at 4.45 kilowatts of cooling against about 180 gallons, with the ozone generator, the filter assembly, both wrenches and the hose lines in the same box.

For the hot half of contrast bathing, see the Finnmark saunas, or the infrared saunas more broadly. Our infrared or traditional sauna guide covers which kind of heat suits which room.
The practical bit
What the Finnmark SoulCold asks of your electrical supply
This is the easiest electrical story of anything Finnmark makes. One ordinary circuit, and a GFCI plug in the box.
| Supply | 110 to 120 V, 60 Hz |
|---|---|
| Current and wire | 15 A, AWG14 |
| Protection | The chiller must be used with the supplied GFCI outlet |
| Input power | 1.06 kW cooling, 1.06 kW heating |
| Compressor | 0.992 kW cooling |
| Circulating pump | 88 W, DC motor |
| Refrigerant | R410a, 550 to 600 g |
| Code | The manual requires a licensed electrician and compliance with all local and federal electrical codes |
The ambient range is the spec people miss
The manual rates the chiller to work in an ambient temperature of 59 to 109 degrees when cooling, and 59 to 95 degrees when heating. That is the air around the unit, not the water in the tub. An unheated garage at 40 degrees in January is outside the rated range even though the water would happily sit at 40, and that is a different question from whether the plumbing will freeze.
Running cost
What a Finnmark SoulCold costs to run
Worked at the manual's 1.06 kilowatt input and the US average residential rate of 18.34 cents per kilowatt hour, from the EIA Electric Power Monthly, June 2026. Finnmark publishes no duty cycle, so the day and year figures below assume four hours of compressor time a day. That assumption is ours, not theirs, and your own figure moves with the ambient temperature, whether the cover is on, and the target you set.
An hour of chiller time
$0.19
1.06 kilowatts for one hour, at 18.34 cents. This is the only figure here that depends on nothing but the manual.
A day, at four hours
$0.78
Four hours of compressor time to hold temperature across a day. Our assumption, stated.
A year, at four hours a day
$284
The same four hours, every day. Keeping the insulated cover on when it is not in use is what moves this number most.
Every input is above, so redo it with your own rate and your own estimate: kilowatts times hours times cents. A tub run warm in winter will use more than a tub run cold in summer, because the chiller is working against the room either way.
Scope
What arrives with the Finnmark SoulCold, and what it does not include
The chiller, the cover and the filter kit are all in the box. The water and the pad are not.
Required before it runs
- A surface rated for 1,650 poundsFilled weight. A slab, or a deck a structural engineer has signed off
- A 15 amp, 110 to 120 volt circuitAWG14, with the supplied GFCI plug, confirmed by a licensed electrician
- Floor drainage and air around the chillerBoth are manual requirements, and overheating from poor placement is excluded from the warranty
Optional
- Professional setupIf you would rather not position and fill it yourself, see setup and assembly
- SoulCold carbon filters and pleated filtersThe manual asks for the paper core to be changed about every thirty days, so a spare set is worth having from day one. Both come in packs of four
- A sauna for the other halfContrast bathing needs heat as well as cold. The Finnmark FD-2 runs on the same kind of household circuit
| Tub and chiller | SoulCold plunge and the chiller, together |
|---|---|
| Cover | Marine grade insulated cover |
| Filtration | 5 inch filter assembly, filters, secondary filter screen, main and secondary filter wrenches |
| Plumbing | Water hose lines and quick connectors |
| Control | LED remote, plus the on-unit touchscreen and the app |
| Handling | Moving wheels and a carry handle |
| Paperwork | Installation and operation manual, 1 year limited warranty, consumer use |
Freight to the lower 48 carries no delivery charge. Canada is quoted at a flat rate and Puerto Rico, Alaska and Hawaii are quoted case by case, so ask us before you order to either.
Setup
Installing and first filling the Finnmark SoulCold
There is no assembly in the sauna sense. There is a sequence, and the order matters.
Position the tub first, on its level surface, with the chiller end where air can move around it and where you can reach the filters. The moving wheels and carry handle are there for this step, and it is a great deal easier empty than full.
Then fill before you power on. The manual is explicit that powering on without water in the tub will damage the chiller and void the warranty, and that running the chiller with no water flow may damage the pump and will also void it. Fill until the water is roughly six inches from the top, let the pump prime, and only then set a temperature. If the pump cannot prime, stop and sort that out rather than letting it run.
Inspect the pre-installed mesh filter and the main filter before the first fill, and hand check both cartridges. After that, the paper core wants replacing about every thirty days.
Before the first plunge
Give the ozone generator and the circulating pump time to turn the water over before anyone gets in. Keep the insulated cover on whenever the tub is not in use: it is the single thing that most reduces how hard the chiller has to work, and it is already in the box.
Delivery day
What to check when your Finnmark SoulCold is delivered
It moves by freight at 500 pounds dry on an 85 by 38.5 by 41 inch pallet, and comes off the truck at the curb. Ten minutes of checking there is the difference between a replacement and an argument.
Before delivery
Have the pad or slab ready, the circuit in, and help booked for the day itself. Five hundred pounds is a four person lift, not a two person one.
At the truck
Walk around the pallet before you sign. Photograph any crushed corner, dent in the stainless, tear or water mark, and write what you see on the delivery paperwork before you sign.
Before you fill
Check the tub rim, the cedar slats, the chiller housing and the cover while the packaging is still there, and tell us straight away if anything is marked. Our return policy sets out how long you have.

The warranty row is the one to read twice. Finnmark warrants its sauna heating elements for the life of the cabin and the cabins themselves for ten years; the SoulCold carries one year, consumer use. That is a different commitment, and it is in the shipped manual rather than hidden, so it should sit in your decision rather than surface later.
For the heat half, the Finnmark FD-1 runs on the same kind of household circuit in the smallest footprint, and the Finnmark FD-3 seats three to four if the plunge is for a household rather than a person.
Also in the Finnmark range: Finnmark FD-4 Trinity, Finnmark FD-5 Trinity XL.
Evidence
The Finnmark SoulCold warranty and placement rules, in full
Two things on this product are commonly reported wrongly elsewhere. Here is what the shipped document actually says.
The warranty is one year, not two
The manual that ships with the SoulCold states the term in four places: one year from the date of purchase, one year on equipment and controls, one year on plumbing, and one year on the factory filter and pump. Finnmark's dealer file agrees, listing "1-Year Limited Warranty (Consumer Use)" in the package contents. The brand's own website carries a two year figure that the shipped document does not support, so we publish one year and will send you the document to read before you buy.
Four things void it, and all four are avoidable: powering the chiller on with the tub empty, running it with no water flow, freeze damage, and overheating caused by placing the chiller where air cannot move around it.
It is not an all weather outdoor plunge
Outdoors is allowed and Finnmark photographs it on decks and patios, but on conditions the manual sets out plainly. The cord and plug are "intended for indoor use or under light rain". Outdoors you should "use a tent or shading device to effectively protect the unit from sunlight and rain". The touchscreen has to be kept away from rain and damp. And in freezing conditions the chiller "should be moved to an inside location or in a properly insulated area", with the warranty void on freeze damage.
That is why this tub is not listed among our outdoor cold plunges. Every other plunge in that collection is sold as a year round outdoor product and this one is not, so putting it there would be the wrong answer dressed up as a bigger catalogue.
What we do not publish
Finnmark's dealer file carries a page of physiological claims about what cold water does to the body, and a commercial spa pitch. We publish neither. The claims are unsourced, and the commercial pitch is contradicted by the manufacturer's own one year consumer use warranty. What the product does is on this page in numbers: 34 to 108 degrees, 4.45 kilowatts of cooling, ozone and filtration. We also have no owner reviews of our own yet, because this is a new listing for us.
Buyer questions
Finnmark SoulCold, questions buyers ask before ordering
Does the Finnmark SoulCold come with a chiller?
Yes, and it is in the same box rather than an upgrade. It is rated at 4.45 kilowatts of cooling and 4.36 of heating against about 180 gallons of water, with the ozone generator, the 5 inch filter assembly, filters, both filter wrenches, the secondary filter screen and the hose lines included. That is the normal place a plunge purchase goes wrong, so it is worth confirming.
Can the Finnmark SoulCold be used as a hot tub as well as a cold plunge?
It heats to 108 degrees, which is warm soak territory rather than a 104 degree spa with jets. The chiller is a heat pump, so it works both ways from the same unit, and you set the target on the touchscreen, the remote or the app. Finnmark positions it for contrast bathing: cold one day, warm the next, or both in a session.
Can the Finnmark SoulCold go outside?
Yes, on conditions, and they matter. The manual says the cord and plug are intended for indoor use or under light rain, that outdoors you should use a tent or shading device to keep sun and rain off the unit, and that the touchscreen must be kept away from rain and damp. In freezing conditions the chiller has to move inside or into a properly insulated area, and freeze damage voids the warranty. A covered patio in a mild climate is fine. A winter deck in a freezing one is not, which is why we do not list this among our outdoor cold plunges.
What does the Finnmark SoulCold weigh when it is full?
1,650 pounds. It is 460 pounds dry and about 180 gallons of water accounts for the rest, over a footprint of roughly nineteen square feet. A concrete slab takes that without thinking about it. A timber deck or a suspended floor deserves a structural opinion before you order, because it is not a decision you can reverse once the tub is full.
What electrical supply does the Finnmark SoulCold need?
110 to 120 volts at 60 Hz, 15 amps, on AWG14 wire, and Finnmark supplies the GFCI plug the chiller has to be used with. The manual requires the connection to be made by a licensed electrician following all local and federal electrical codes, and asks you to check the socket voltage against the nameplate. One other spec is easy to miss: the chiller is rated to work in an ambient temperature of 59 to 109 degrees when cooling and 59 to 95 when heating, which is the air around it rather than the water.
How often do the Finnmark SoulCold filters need changing?
The manual asks for the paper core filter to be replaced about every thirty days, and for the pre-installed mesh filter and the main filter to be inspected and hand checked before the first fill. Sanitation is handled by an integrated ozone generator alongside the filtration, which Finnmark's dealer file lists at 20 micron. Budget for filters the way you would with any circulating water.
What is the warranty on the Finnmark SoulCold?
One year from the date of purchase, consumer use: one year on equipment and controls, one year on plumbing, and one year on the factory filter and pump. That is shorter than Finnmark's sauna terms and we would rather say so here than let you find it later. The brand website shows a two year figure that the shipped manual does not support, so we publish the manual's. Ask us and we will send you the document free before you buy.
How is the Finnmark SoulCold delivered?
By freight, with no delivery charge to the lower 48, at 500 pounds dry on an 85 by 38.5 by 41 inch pallet. The driver brings it to the curb, so plan help and a clear route: this is a four person lift rather than a two person one, and the moving wheels only help once it is off the pallet. Walk the pallet before you sign and photograph any dent in the stainless. Canada is a flat quote; Puerto Rico, Alaska and Hawaii are quoted case by case.
Am I buying from an authorized Finnmark dealer?
Yes. Recovery Room Direct is a factory authorized Finnmark Designs dealer, so your SoulCold carries the full factory warranty rather than a reseller term. It also means the specification here comes from the shipped manual rather than from copied listings, which is why this page tells you the warranty is one year and not two. Finnmark sets a minimum advertised price and enforces it, so if you find an authorized dealer advertising below it, our price match covers it.
One last thing
Before you order the Finnmark SoulCold: the surface and the winter
Two questions decide this purchase. What is it standing on, and does that spot freeze. Tell us both and we will tell you whether the SoulCold suits the place you have in mind, or whether a freeze rated plunge does.
