How does delivery work?

Free to the contiguous 48. Every Power Plate model we sell ships free within the contiguous 48 states.

How it arrives. The pro and my series platforms travel by freight; the MOVE, the Personal Power Plate and the REV travel by a carrier Power Plate selects. These are heavy machines, so plan for someone to be there to receive the delivery and sign for it.

Check your access first. Power Plate's manuals say never to lift or move a platform without assistance, and its dealer terms include no inside delivery or placement. Check door widths, steps and turns between the delivery point and the room, and ask us before you order if you need the machine carried inside.

When it ships. Power Plate publishes a lead time of usually within 4 weeks and treats every shipping date as an estimate. We confirm your delivery date once the order is placed and pass on the carrier's appointment details as soon as we have them. If a date does not work, tell us straight away.

Where it ships. Free shipping covers the contiguous 48 states. Power Plate charges extra for Alaska, Hawaii and Canada, so those are quoted case by case: contact us before ordering.

If it arrives damaged. Check the shipment with the driver still there, write any damage on the delivery receipt before you sign, and photograph the packaging and the machine. Then call us the same day and we handle the carrier claim. Power Plate's manuals say never to run a machine that has been dropped, tipped over or damaged until an authorized Power Plate service professional has checked it.

What does the warranty cover?

Coverage by model. pro8, my8, pro5, pro5HP, my5 and MOVE: 3 years on hardware, 1 year on electronics, 1 year on labor. REV: 2 years on the frame and gearbox, 1 year on electronics, 6 months on wear parts. Personal Power Plate: 1 year on hardware, electronics and labor.

From the date of purchase. Keep your order confirmation. The terms cover machines bought, delivered and used in the United States.

What is covered. A machine Power Plate finds defective as a result of manufacturing. Power Plate chooses whether to repair it, replace it or refund the purchase price, and that is the remedy the warranty gives.

What is not. Faults caused by improper use, storage or handling, by not maintaining the machine with reasonable care, or by abnormal conditions including abuse, neglect or catastrophe.

Two things void it. The pro8 and my8 manuals say pulling the proMOTION cables past the colored line voids the warranty, and that unauthorized changes or maintenance could void it. There are no user serviceable parts inside, so any service goes to an authorized Power Plate service professional.

Business use. Power Plate's terms limit the warranty to machines bought for resale or for use in that business. How that applies to a particular gym, studio or clinic is something we confirm with Power Plate before you order, so ask us first.

Who handles it. Performance Health Systems, the company behind Power Plate, is the warrantor and we handle every claim for you. Call (888) 500-5675 with your order number, model, serial number and photographs.

Read the full Power Plate Warranty Policy

What if I need to return it?

30 days from delivery. The machine must be in new condition with all its accessories. Any damage to the machine while it was in your hands may be deducted from the refund, so keep the packaging until you are sure you are keeping it.

What a return costs. A restocking fee may apply: 15 percent of the purchase price on an opened machine and 5 percent on one still unopened in its packaging. The free shipping on your original order is never deducted.

Who pays the freight. You do on a change of mind. Power Plate's refund policy says its My Series and Pro Series platforms must be delivered, installed and picked up by Power Plate authorized partners if returned, so we arrange it and give you the return freight figure before the pickup is booked.

When the cause is ours. If it is shipping damage or an error on our side, we cover the return and nothing is deducted, and no restocking fee applies to documented freight damage.

Damaged on arrival. A different and faster process. Note it on the delivery receipt before signing, photograph the packaging and the machine, and call us the same day. We handle the carrier claim.

Cancelling before it ships. No fee before we place the order with Power Plate. After that an administrative fee of up to 5 percent may apply, we waive it whenever we are not charged, and there is no fee at all if we miss the ship date we gave you.

Accessories, and how to start. Same 30 day window, but Power Plate accepts accessories back only unopened and unused. Call (888) 500-5675; a Return Authorization number is required before anything goes back.

Touchscreen vibration platform with proMOTION cables

The Power Plate my8 whole body vibration plate

The my8 is a touchscreen vibration platform that Power Plate's sell sheet presents as an in-home model: 30 to 45 Hz in 1 Hz steps, a 10.1 inch screen with more than 250 programs, and proMOTION cables whose resistance you pick on the screen. Its maximum load is 350 lb.

You hold a squat, a lunge or a stretch on the moving platform and can work the cables at the same time.

The space

33 x 39 in, 59 in tall

Plus three feet of open floor around the platform. The frame weighs 245 lb.

Who it is for

Cleared by a physician first

Every user should have a physical examination and clearance before training on it. Top load: 350 lb.

Power

A grounded outlet

100 to 240 volts at 50 or 60 Hz. The manual does not call for a dedicated circuit.

Before you order

Where the my8 goes

Plan for the footprint plus three feet of open floor on every side.

Floor and nearby electronics

Pick a hard, level surface. For its electromagnetic environment, the manual adds that floors should be wood, concrete or ceramic tile, with room humidity of at least 30% when the floor has a synthetic covering. Keep portable radio transmitters 3.3 feet (1.0 m) away.

Indoors, dry and within its temperature range

Water and extreme humidity are the risks Power Plate calls out: no outdoor spots, no pool areas and nothing near a water source, since contact with water could cause a short circuit. Its operating range runs from 50 to 104 degrees F, so a garage that gets colder than 50 degrees F in winter is out.

Running cost

At 160 to 185 W, a full hour at the top of that rating uses about 0.185 kWh, roughly 3 cents at the June 2026 US residential average of 18.34 cents per kWh (EIA).

Who it suits

Before anyone trains on the my8

Power Plate builds the my8 for fitness and exercise and asks every user to get a physical examination and a doctor's clearance first, above all anyone with a known medical condition or a physical limitation.

Power Plate's physician-reviewed guidance: “You should not use a vibration plate without your doctor’s approval if you: Are pregnant; Have a pacemaker or implanted medical device; Have cardiovascular disease, uncontrolled high blood pressure, or serious heart conditions; Have had recent surgery, especially joint replacements or spinal procedures; Have deep vein thrombosis (DVT), blood clots, or clotting disorders.” No list covers every condition, so your own doctor decides.

If you feel faint, dizzy, nauseous, short of breath or in pain during a session, stop at once and consult a physician. Close supervision is required when the machine is used by, or near, children or disabled persons.

Posture on the platform

Bend your knees slightly and keep them over your toes, with your weight toward the front of your feet, and never lock your knees or elbows or lean back onto your heels. Use the handles to steady yourself getting on and off rather than hanging from them. Add weights only with an exercise professional coaching you, or with extensive experience of weight training or of the machine.

New users begin with low frequency, low amplitude and short sessions, then add intensity and time step by step.

Rules worth reading twice

  • Train in rubber soled shoes. In socks or bare feet, stand on the contoured mat supplied with the my8, and put a mat under any other part of your body that touches the platform.
  • Power Plate recommends drinking at least 300 ml of water before, during and after each session.
  • Keep your hands out of the machine and away from its underside while it runs, never tip it on its side, and never push anything into an opening. If something falls in, switch the machine off and unplug it before trying to retrieve it.
  • Follow the directions on the console, examine the machine regularly for damage and wear, and unplug it when it is not in use.
  • Never try to fix an electrical problem with the power source yourself. The manual says to contact the Power Plate Service Department, with the serial number ready.
  • Fit only the attachments and accessories that come with the my8 or that Power Plate has specifically approved for it.
  • After a drop, a tip over, damage or even partial immersion in water, leave it off until an authorized Power Plate service professional has examined it and cleared it.
  • Share these warnings with everyone who uses the machine.

How it works

How the my8 platform moves

Two settings shape every session: how often the platform moves each second, and how far it travels each time.

Frequency, amplitude and time

The my8 covers 30 to 45 Hz, adjusted 1 Hz at a time, with a low or high amplitude, and Power Plate's amplitudes stay under 5 mm. Run time goes up to 9 minutes of continuous vibration, set in 15 second steps, and a small secondary timer with its own controls sits on the column.

Multiply frequency by amplitude and you get the intensity. Power Plate publishes no g force figure for the my8.

Recommended settings by exercise type

Power Plate's Instructions for Use print recommended settings in two places, and they differ slightly. The settings page lists:

  • Stretch. 30 Hz, low amplitude.
  • Balance. 30 to 35 Hz, low amplitude.
  • Core. 30 to 40 Hz, low or high amplitude.
  • Strength. 30 to 45 Hz, low or high amplitude.
  • Massage. 45 Hz, high amplitude.

The training section keeps stretch at 30 Hz and balance at 30 to 35 Hz, both on low amplitude, but groups core, strength and massage together at 30 to 45 Hz on low or high.

Holding the position

In Power Plate's description, tensed muscles absorb the vibration, so each position is held with the muscles working and the joints soft. Two to three sessions a week is the general recommendation.

What sets the my8 apart

The proMOTION cables on the Power Plate my8

Man in a split squat on the Power Plate my8, pulling one proMOTION cable with his other hand on the handlebar
A split squat with one cable in hand and the other hand on the handlebar.

The retractable cables come out of ports near the corners of the platform, so you can pull them to bring your upper body into the work while the platform runs.

Power Plate says the cables are five times stronger than steel, pound for pound, and that each one reaches more than two meters. You choose low, medium or high resistance on the touchscreen, and a gel dampening system adds resistance the harder you work.

Begin at the lowest resistance with the platform on a low setting, and move up only once your technique is sound.

Do not pull the cables more than 84.64 inches (215 cm), past the colored line. Pulling the cables past the colored line voids the warranty. Check them for frays.

The console

The my8 console and its program library

The 10.1 inch touchscreen holds more than 250 customized programs and more than 1,000 exercise videos.

Quickstart starts the platform with one touch, and Prepare, Perform and Recover lead to warm up, workout and cool down exercises. The my8 Programs button opens the full library, with three modules:

  • Exercise. Programs, Single Exercises and Manual Mode, where you set time, frequency, amplitude and cable resistance yourself.
  • Users. New Users and Existing Users, for separate profiles.
  • Settings. Machine configuration, education and help, the service menu and contact details.

The library's main screen also shows Feel Better, Look Better and Play Better.

Pick one of 12 languages with the globe button. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are built in, and Power Plate says a heart rate monitor syncs through Myzone and compatible devices, though none is included. Power Plate also lists a Bend Your Knees reminder, a 3 second countdown and an audible beep after every minute of use.

Using the my8 in a business

Power Plate's manual calls the my8 “a consumer and commercial device” designed for fitness and exercise, as part of “a closely monitored exercise program.” If the my8 is going into a business, call our commercial team or (888) 500-5675 first, and we will check how Power Plate's warranty applies to commercial use before you commit.

What you get

In the box with the my8

  • The my8 platform and column
  • proMOTION handles (2)
  • Strap set (2)

  • Dust covers for the column and the platform
  • Power cord

Care and cleaning

Nothing inside is user serviceable. Unplug the my8 and wait a minute before cleaning, then use a moist cloth on the finish (never spray cleaner onto the machine), a soft bristle brush on the grip surface and a dry cloth on electrical parts. Clean the screen gently, with a cleaner approved for computer monitors. Anything more goes to an authorized Power Plate service professional, since unauthorized changes or maintenance could void the warranty.

Which one fits

Choose the pro8 over the my8 for the wider 25 to 50 Hz range and its 500 lb rating; it keeps the same touchscreen and cables on a bigger, heavier frame. The pro5 also covers 25 to 50 Hz, with a push-button console. The my5 takes the least floor, 27 by 38.5 inches, runs 30 to 40 Hz and lists no cables. The full lineup sits under whole body vibration platforms, within our vibration therapy range.

Delivery and cover

Getting the my8 home

By freight carrier

Shipping is free to the contiguous 48 states, by a freight carrier Power Plate selects. Power Plate publishes a lead time of usually within 4 weeks, and we confirm the delivery date after you order. The manual says never to lift or move the my8 without help, so measure doorways, stairs and corners on the route in. Power Plate's price list groups the my8 with its models that need assembly, and its own assembly document sets it out: the machine arrives as two cartons on one pallet, a platform and a column, and the column bolts onto the platform once its wiring is connected. It is a two person job rather than a difficult one, so tell us before you order whether you want it carried in and built. The Power Plate shipping page has the full terms.

At delivery

Inspect the shipment while the driver is still there, write any damage on the delivery receipt before signing, and phone us that day. Our Power Plate return policy covers returns.

Limited warranty

The my8 carries Power Plate's published US limited warranty: hardware for 3 years, and electronics and labor for 1 year each, on machines purchased, delivered and used in the United States. Our Power Plate warranty page has the full terms to read before you order.

Buyer questions

Power Plate my8 questions buyers ask before ordering

How big is the Power Plate my8 and what does it weigh?

The Power Plate my8 weighs 245 lb and stands 59 inches tall on a 33 by 39 inch footprint. Allow three feet of open floor around the platform.

Does the Power Plate my8 need a special outlet?

The Power Plate my8 is rated at 160 to 185 W and runs on 100 to 240 volts at 50 or 60 Hz, plugged into a properly grounded outlet. The manual does not call for a dedicated circuit.

What is the weight limit on the Power Plate my8?

The Power Plate my8 is rated for a maximum load of 350 lb (159 kg). Among its siblings, the my5 is rated for 300 lb, the pro5 for 400 lb and the pro8 for 500 lb.

What floor does the Power Plate my8 need, and can it go in a garage?

The Power Plate my8 needs a hard, level surface. A garage works only if it stays dry and between 50 and 104 degrees F while the machine runs; outdoor, poolside and very humid spaces are ruled out.

What frequency range does the Power Plate my8 have?

The Power Plate my8 adjusts from 30 to 45 Hz in 1 Hz steps, with a low or high amplitude and continuous runs of up to 9 minutes, set in 15 second steps.

What are the proMOTION cables on the Power Plate my8?

The Power Plate my8 has retractable proMOTION cables that come out of ports on its platform, so you can pull against them during an exercise. Resistance is low, medium or high, chosen on the touchscreen. Pulling the cables past the colored line, at 84.64 inches (215 cm), voids the warranty.

What is the difference between the Power Plate my8 and my5?

The Power Plate my8 adds electronic proMOTION cables, a 10.1 inch screen, 30 to 45 Hz and a 350 lb rating over the my5, which our my5 page compares in full. For 25 to 50 Hz with the same cables and screen, see the pro8.

Who should not use the Power Plate my8?

The Power Plate my8 is meant for people a physician has examined and cleared to exercise. Power Plate's physician-reviewed guidance asks for a doctor's approval first in cases such as pregnancy, a pacemaker or other implant, heart and blood pressure conditions, recent surgery, or blood clots. Your doctor decides.

Is the Power Plate my8 FDA approved?

No. The Power Plate my8's manual prints "FDA Listed as Class 1 Device", and its maker is registered with FDA in a Class I category that does not require 510(k) premarket notification. A registration and listing is not an FDA clearance or approval. Power Plate describes the my8 as a product for fitness and exercise.

What warranty comes with the Power Plate my8?

The Power Plate my8 has 3 years of hardware cover, 1 year on electronics and 1 year on labor under Power Plate's published US limited warranty, for machines bought, delivered and used in the United States. Pulling the cables past the colored line voids it, and unauthorized changes or maintenance could void it. We will send the full terms free on request before you buy.

Before you decide

Talk the my8 through with us

Send us the room size, the floor type and who will train on the my8, and we will check them against Power Plate's figures. If the pro8 or the my5 suits you better, you will hear it from us.
