How does delivery work?
How does delivery work?
Free to the contiguous 48. Every Power Plate model we sell ships free within the contiguous 48 states.
How it arrives. The pro and my series platforms travel by freight; the MOVE, the Personal Power Plate and the REV travel by a carrier Power Plate selects. These are heavy machines, so plan for someone to be there to receive the delivery and sign for it.
Check your access first. Power Plate's manuals say never to lift or move a platform without assistance, and its dealer terms include no inside delivery or placement. Check door widths, steps and turns between the delivery point and the room, and ask us before you order if you need the machine carried inside.
When it ships. Power Plate publishes a lead time of usually within 4 weeks and treats every shipping date as an estimate. We confirm your delivery date once the order is placed and pass on the carrier's appointment details as soon as we have them. If a date does not work, tell us straight away.
Where it ships. Free shipping covers the contiguous 48 states. Power Plate charges extra for Alaska, Hawaii and Canada, so those are quoted case by case: contact us before ordering.
If it arrives damaged. Check the shipment with the driver still there, write any damage on the delivery receipt before you sign, and photograph the packaging and the machine. Then call us the same day and we handle the carrier claim. Power Plate's manuals say never to run a machine that has been dropped, tipped over or damaged until an authorized Power Plate service professional has checked it.
What does the warranty cover?

Coverage by model. pro8, my8, pro5, pro5HP, my5 and MOVE: 3 years on hardware, 1 year on electronics, 1 year on labor. REV: 2 years on the frame and gearbox, 1 year on electronics, 6 months on wear parts. Personal Power Plate: 1 year on hardware, electronics and labor.
From the date of purchase. Keep your order confirmation. The terms cover machines bought, delivered and used in the United States.
What is covered. A machine Power Plate finds defective as a result of manufacturing. Power Plate chooses whether to repair it, replace it or refund the purchase price, and that is the remedy the warranty gives.
What is not. Faults caused by improper use, storage or handling, by not maintaining the machine with reasonable care, or by abnormal conditions including abuse, neglect or catastrophe.
Two things void it. The pro8 and my8 manuals say pulling the proMOTION cables past the colored line voids the warranty, and that unauthorized changes or maintenance could void it. There are no user serviceable parts inside, so any service goes to an authorized Power Plate service professional.
Business use. Power Plate's terms limit the warranty to machines bought for resale or for use in that business. How that applies to a particular gym, studio or clinic is something we confirm with Power Plate before you order, so ask us first.
Who handles it. Performance Health Systems, the company behind Power Plate, is the warrantor and we handle every claim for you. Call (888) 500-5675 with your order number, model, serial number and photographs.
What if I need to return it?
What if I need to return it?
30 days from delivery. The machine must be in new condition with all its accessories. Any damage to the machine while it was in your hands may be deducted from the refund, so keep the packaging until you are sure you are keeping it.
What a return costs. A restocking fee may apply: 15 percent of the purchase price on an opened machine and 5 percent on one still unopened in its packaging. The free shipping on your original order is never deducted.
Who pays the freight. You do on a change of mind. Power Plate's refund policy says its My Series and Pro Series platforms must be delivered, installed and picked up by Power Plate authorized partners if returned, so we arrange it and give you the return freight figure before the pickup is booked.
When the cause is ours. If it is shipping damage or an error on our side, we cover the return and nothing is deducted, and no restocking fee applies to documented freight damage.
Damaged on arrival. A different and faster process. Note it on the delivery receipt before signing, photograph the packaging and the machine, and call us the same day. We handle the carrier claim.
Cancelling before it ships. No fee before we place the order with Power Plate. After that an administrative fee of up to 5 percent may apply, we waive it whenever we are not charged, and there is no fee at all if we miss the ship date we gave you.
Accessories, and how to start. Same 30 day window, but Power Plate accepts accessories back only unopened and unused. Call (888) 500-5675; a Return Authorization number is required before anything goes back.

The Power Plate pro5HP whole body vibration plate
The pro5HP is Power Plate's High Performance model: a 25 to 50 Hz vibration platform that stands 13 inches tall and carries a maximum load of 500 lb. Power Plate builds it for homes as well as health clubs, hotels and spas.
Power Plate's photos show push ups and planks with the hands on the platform, and lunges with one foot on the plate. Frequency, time and a low or high amplitude are set from a keypad on the back edge of the platform.
The space

Power Plate's manual gives the footprint as 38 by 45 inches. Keep three feet clear around it on a hard, level floor.

Where the pro5HP goes
Check the floor before anything else. Power Plate's manual lists the pro5HP at 38 inches wide, 45 inches deep and 13 inches high.
The floor
The manual asks for a hard, level surface and an area free of obstructions for at least three feet around the platform.
The room
Keep it inside and dry. The manual rules out outdoor use, pools, any other source of water and extreme humidity, since water could short circuit the machine. Its operating range is 10 to 40 degrees Celsius, or 50 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit, which a cold outbuilding can drop below. The power plug is how the machine is disconnected, so leave it where you can reach it.
What it costs to run
The pro5HP is rated at 160 to 265 VA. Take the higher number as a worst case and a full hour of vibration uses about 0.27 kWh, close to 5 cents at June 2026's US residential average of 18.34 cents per kWh (EIA).
Who it suits
Who the pro5HP is for, and who should ask a doctor first
The pro5HP is fitness and exercise equipment. Its manual names medically cleared adults, in general healthy adults 16 and older; anyone else needs a physician's clearance and medical supervision.
Power Plate's physician-reviewed guidance: “You should not use a vibration plate without your doctor’s approval if you: Are pregnant; Have a pacemaker or implanted medical device; Have cardiovascular disease, uncontrolled high blood pressure, or serious heart conditions; Have had recent surgery, especially joint replacements or spinal procedures; Have deep vein thrombosis (DVT), blood clots, or clotting disorders.” No list covers every condition, so your own doctor decides.
The manual asks for a physician's check before any new exercise program, and says to stop at once and see a physician if you get dizzy, faint, nauseous, short of breath or feel pain. The manual says “close supervision is required when the machine is used by, or near, children or disabled persons.” It is not intended for people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities unless someone responsible for their safety supervises or instructs them, and children should be supervised so they do not play with it.
Your stance on the plate
The manual's picture of good form: knees slightly bent and over your toes, weight carried on the balls of your feet rather than the heels, and no locked knees or elbows.
Wear rubber soled shoes when you stand on the platform. If you train in socks or bare feet, or with any other part of your body on the platform, as in a push up or a plank, use the mat.
Begin with short sessions at low frequency and low amplitude, and add time and intensity only as your body adapts. The manual also warns against working to exhaustion.
Rules from the manual worth reading twice
- Never reach into or under the machine, or tip it on its side, while it is running, and never push anything into an opening.
- If something falls into the machine, switch it off and remove the plug before reaching for it; if you cannot reach it, call an authorized Power Plate service professional.
- Follow the directions on the console, and stick to the attachments and accessories supplied with it or approved by Power Plate.
- Examine it regularly for damage and wear, check that it is working safely before each use, and unplug it when it is not in use.
- After a drop, a tip over, damage or even partial immersion in water, leave it switched off until an authorized Power Plate service professional has examined it and cleared it.
- If the power cord is damaged, only the manufacturer, its service agent or a similarly qualified person should replace it.
- Do not try to fix an electrical problem with the power source yourself; the manual says to call a licensed, professional electrician.
- It is not suitable for use near flammable anesthetic mixtures with air, oxygen or nitrous oxide.
- Drink water before, during and after each session; the manual suggests at least 300 ml.
- Share these warnings with anyone else who uses it, which matters most on a shared or business floor.
How it works
What the pro5HP platform does
Two settings shape every exercise on the pro5HP: how many times the plate moves each second, and how far it travels each time.
Frequency, amplitude and time
The first setting is frequency, 25 to 50 Hz on the pro5HP in 1 Hz steps, a span the pro8 and the pro5 share. The second is amplitude, the distance the plate travels with each vibration, which you set to low or high. The timer offers presets of 30, 45 and 60 seconds and runs up to 9 minutes.
The settings Power Plate suggests
The manual keeps stretches between 30 and 40 Hz on low amplitude, and strength work at or under 40 Hz, starting on low and progressing to high. Massage can run up to 50 Hz on high. When you raise the frequency or the amplitude, cut the volume and lengthen the rest.
Power Plate's manual puts the usual rhythm at 2 to 3 sessions a week.
What sets the pro5HP apart
A low platform for athletes and trainers
Power Plate calls the pro5HP its High Performance model and pitches it at athletes and the trainers who work with them.
The platform stands 13 inches tall with the control panel set into its back edge, and it shares the 25 to 50 Hz span and the 500 lb maximum load of the pro8. Power Plate's sell sheet describes it working alongside other equipment such as a squat rack, for static, dynamic and plyometric exercises. The manual's rule on added load still applies: no weights unless an exercise professional is coaching you or you have extensive experience with weight training or with the machine.
Hand straps come with it and attach at the edge of the platform.
The controls
The pro5HP keypad and display
The pro5HP runs from a keypad with a small display, and Power Plate's sell sheet and website also list a remote control. There are no built in programs: you set each exercise yourself.
- Start, Stop and Repeat. Keys at the top of the panel.
- Frequency. One touch keys for 30, 35, 40 and 50 Hz, and the minus and plus keys to move anywhere from 25 to 50 Hz in 1 Hz steps.
- Time. One touch keys for 30, 45 and 60 seconds, and up to 9 minutes in all.
- Intensity. Low or High amplitude.
A pro5HP for a gym, hotel or health club
The manual's list of intended facilities covers homes, hotels, spas and resorts, and health clubs, and Power Plate's website grades the pro5HP as commercial equipment. Looking after it
The pro5HP has no user serviceable parts and needs no calibration. Unplug it and wait a minute before cleaning: a damp cloth for the finish, a soft brush for the platform and mat, a dry cloth for electrical parts, and no spray straight onto the machine. Everything else is for an authorized Power Plate service professional, since unauthorized changes or maintenance could void the warranty.

For the full span and a 500 lb load in a platform 13 inches tall, choose the pro5HP. For a column with handlebars and the keypad at the top, look at the pro5.
