How does delivery work?
How does delivery work?
Free to the contiguous 48. Every Power Plate model we sell ships free within the contiguous 48 states.
How it arrives. The pro and my series platforms travel by freight; the MOVE, the Personal Power Plate and the REV travel by a carrier Power Plate selects. These are heavy machines, so plan for someone to be there to receive the delivery and sign for it.
Check your access first. Power Plate's manuals say never to lift or move a platform without assistance, and its dealer terms include no inside delivery or placement. Check door widths, steps and turns between the delivery point and the room, and ask us before you order if you need the machine carried inside.
When it ships. Power Plate publishes a lead time of usually within 4 weeks and treats every shipping date as an estimate. We confirm your delivery date once the order is placed and pass on the carrier's appointment details as soon as we have them. If a date does not work, tell us straight away.
Where it ships. Free shipping covers the contiguous 48 states. Power Plate charges extra for Alaska, Hawaii and Canada, so those are quoted case by case: contact us before ordering.
If it arrives damaged. Check the shipment with the driver still there, write any damage on the delivery receipt before you sign, and photograph the packaging and the machine. Then call us the same day and we handle the carrier claim. Power Plate's manuals say never to run a machine that has been dropped, tipped over or damaged until an authorized Power Plate service professional has checked it.
What does the warranty cover?

Coverage by model. pro8, my8, pro5, pro5HP, my5 and MOVE: 3 years on hardware, 1 year on electronics, 1 year on labor. REV: 2 years on the frame and gearbox, 1 year on electronics, 6 months on wear parts. Personal Power Plate: 1 year on hardware, electronics and labor.
From the date of purchase. Keep your order confirmation. The terms cover machines bought, delivered and used in the United States.
What is covered. A machine Power Plate finds defective as a result of manufacturing. Power Plate chooses whether to repair it, replace it or refund the purchase price, and that is the remedy the warranty gives.
What is not. Faults caused by improper use, storage or handling, by not maintaining the machine with reasonable care, or by abnormal conditions including abuse, neglect or catastrophe.
Two things void it. The pro8 and my8 manuals say pulling the proMOTION cables past the colored line voids the warranty, and that unauthorized changes or maintenance could void it. There are no user serviceable parts inside, so any service goes to an authorized Power Plate service professional.
Business use. Power Plate's terms limit the warranty to machines bought for resale or for use in that business. How that applies to a particular gym, studio or clinic is something we confirm with Power Plate before you order, so ask us first.
Who handles it. Performance Health Systems, the company behind Power Plate, is the warrantor and we handle every claim for you. Call (888) 500-5675 with your order number, model, serial number and photographs.
What if I need to return it?
What if I need to return it?
30 days from delivery. The machine must be in new condition with all its accessories. Any damage to the machine while it was in your hands may be deducted from the refund, so keep the packaging until you are sure you are keeping it.
What a return costs. A restocking fee may apply: 15 percent of the purchase price on an opened machine and 5 percent on one still unopened in its packaging. The free shipping on your original order is never deducted.
Who pays the freight. You do on a change of mind. Power Plate's refund policy says its My Series and Pro Series platforms must be delivered, installed and picked up by Power Plate authorized partners if returned, so we arrange it and give you the return freight figure before the pickup is booked.
When the cause is ours. If it is shipping damage or an error on our side, we cover the return and nothing is deducted, and no restocking fee applies to documented freight damage.
Damaged on arrival. A different and faster process. Note it on the delivery receipt before signing, photograph the packaging and the machine, and call us the same day. We handle the carrier claim.
Cancelling before it ships. No fee before we place the order with Power Plate. After that an administrative fee of up to 5 percent may apply, we waive it whenever we are not charged, and there is no fee at all if we miss the ship date we gave you.
Accessories, and how to start. Same 30 day window, but Power Plate accepts accessories back only unopened and unused. Call (888) 500-5675; a Return Authorization number is required before anything goes back.

Whole body vibration, with a touchscreen and a remote
The Power Plate my5 whole body vibration plate
The my5 is the upgraded version of Power Plate's smaller column platform: a 30 to 40 Hz vibrating plate under a curved column, a 5 inch touchscreen between the handlebars and a remote control that ships with it. The maximum load is 300 lb.
A session on the my5 is a series of short holds and movements, a squat, a lunge, a calf stretch or a plank, done on a plate that is vibrating underneath you. Pick one of the four quick start programs on the screen, or dial in your own frequency, amplitude and time, and the countdown does the rest.
No manual for the upgraded my5 is available, so the placement, user, power and safety guidance on this page is per Power Plate's earlier my5 manual (Rev.5, 2021, written for the previous model).

Check three numbers against your room: 27 inches wide, 38.5 inches from front to back and 58 inches to the top of the handlebars.
The floor
Per Power Plate's earlier my5 manual, pick a hard, level spot with nothing within three feet of the vibration platform. The plate you stand on is 27 by 23 inches and sits 10 inches off the floor.
The room
The my5 belongs indoors, away from a pool or any other source of water and out of very humid rooms, since water getting into it could short it. The earlier manual gives an operating range of 50 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit, which a cold garage or porch can drop below. Leave the wall plug where you can reach it, because pulling the plug is how the machine is cut off from power.
What it costs to run
Power Plate's sell sheet puts the my5 at 160 to 320 VA in operation. Take the 320 figure as a worst case and one full hour on the plate uses about 6 cents of electricity at 18.34 cents per kilowatt hour, the US residential average for June 2026 (EIA).
Who it suits
Who the my5 is for, and who should ask a doctor first
Power Plate builds the my5 for fitness and exercise. Per the earlier my5 manual, its users are healthy adults, 16 and older, whose doctor has cleared them for weight bearing exercise; anyone else uses it only with a physician's clearance and under medical supervision.
Power Plate's physician-reviewed guidance: “You should not use a vibration plate without your doctor’s approval if you: are pregnant; have a pacemaker or implanted medical device; have cardiovascular disease, uncontrolled high blood pressure, or serious heart conditions; have had recent surgery, especially joint replacements or spinal procedures; have deep vein thrombosis (DVT), blood clots, or clotting disorders.” No list covers every condition, so your own doctor decides.
The earlier manual asks you to see a physician before any new exercise program, and to stop at once and consult a physician if you feel faint, dizzy, nauseous, short of breath or in pain. It warns against over exerting yourself or working to exhaustion, and says: “Close supervision is required when the machine is used by, or near, children or disabled persons.”
Your stance on the plate
Stand with a slight bend in the knees, knees over the toes and your weight toward the balls of your feet. Do not sink back onto your heels or lock your knees or elbows. Hold the handles to steady yourself as you step on and off, but do not hang your weight from them. Weights stay out of it unless an exercise professional is coaching you or you already have plenty of experience with weight training or with the machine.
Rubber soled shoes go on the plate. In socks or bare feet, lay down one of the contoured mats, and use a mat as well whenever a hand, knee or any other part of you rests on the platform, because the mat takes some of the vibration out. The earlier manual also recommends drinking at least 300 ml of water before, during and after each session.
At the start, keep the frequency and amplitude low and the sessions short. Add intensity and time a little at a time as your body gets used to it.
Rules to share with every user
- While it runs, keep hands out of and from under the machine, never tip it onto its side, and never push anything into an opening.
- Fit only the accessories supplied with it or approved by Power Plate.
- If it has been dropped, knocked over, damaged or partly submerged, leave it switched off until an authorized Power Plate service professional has checked it.
- Follow the directions on the console, make sure the machine is working safely each time before you start, and unplug it between uses.
- Examine it regularly for damage and wear.
- If something falls into the machine, switch it off and pull the plug before you reach for it. If you cannot reach it, call an authorized Power Plate service professional.
- Do not try to sort out electrical problems with the power supply yourself; the earlier manual says to call a licensed, professional electrician.
- Do not use it near flammable anesthetic mixtures with air, oxygen or nitrous oxide.
- Everyone who trains on it should hear these warnings and instructions.
How it works
What the my5 platform does
Three settings shape every session on the my5: frequency, amplitude and time.
The three settings
Frequency counts the plate's movements per second. The my5 covers 30 to 40 Hz in single hertz steps, and the screen has shortcut buttons for 30, 35 and 40 Hz. Amplitude is the size of each movement, set to low or high. Time comes from a countdown of up to 9 minutes.
Holding a position
Power Plate's earlier my5 manual says muscles held under tension take up the vibration. So on the my5 you hold positions, a half squat, a lunge, a plank, with the muscles engaged and the joints soft rather than locked.
What sets the my5 apart
Three ways to run the Power Plate my5
The upgraded my5 has controls at the top of the column, partway down it and in your hand.
The touchscreen. A 5 inch LCD touchscreen sits at the top of the column, inside the handlebars, and handles time, frequency, amplitude and the quick start programs.
The lower console. Partway down the column there is a second, smaller console with its own two digit display and a repeat button. Power Plate describes it as a secondary timer and a way to repeat your last session without bending or reaching,
The remote. A remote control ships with the machine.

- Time. Plus and minus buttons around the countdown, up to 9 minutes.
- Exercises. The four quick start programs: Flexibility, Core, Strength and Massage.
- Frequency. Plus and minus in 1 Hz steps, and one touch buttons for 30, 35 and 40 Hz.

Buying a my5 for a business
Power Plate's earlier my5 manual called it a consumer and commercial product and named hotels, spas and resorts, fitness centers, and schools and universities alongside homes. Cleaning and care
Per the earlier my5 manual, nothing inside the machine is user serviceable. Before you clean it, unplug it and give it at least a minute. Wipe the body with a damp cloth, putting any cleaner on the cloth rather than on the machine, brush the platform and the contoured mats with a soft brush, and keep electrical parts to a dry cloth. Repairs and anything else go to an authorized Power Plate service professional, since unauthorized changes or maintenance could void the warranty.

Which one fits
Pick the my5 when you want handlebars and a column in a machine that is narrower and lighter than the my8 or the pro5. Step up to the my8 for resistance cables, a 10.1 inch screen and 45 Hz at the top, or to the pro5 for 25 to 50 Hz and a 400 lb rating. Power Plate's published lead time is usually within 4 weeks, and your delivery date is confirmed with you after you order. Power Plate's earlier my5 manual says never to lift or move the machine without help, so measure doorways, stairs and tight corners before it comes.
