Found it lower? We'll match it,before or after you buy. ?
Send us a link to the lower price. If it is the same model, new and in stock at an authorized U.S. online retailer, we match it. Already ordered? If it was lower on your order date, claim the difference within 30 days.
Excludes sale pricing, marketplace sellers and later price drops.
Free shipping to the contiguous 48. On every SunRay sauna, by freight from Richmond, Virginia. The estimate on each product page is in business days.
Freight to the curb. A kit of panels or barrel staves, in cartons on a pallet. The freight company calls to book a window, someone signs, and residential deliveries come on a lift gate truck. Plan for two or more people.
Hard to reach addresses. If a truck cannot reach you, a smaller vehicle may cost extra, and we tell you before the delivery is booked.
When it ships. In-stock saunas usually leave SunRay's warehouse within 1 to 2 business days of SunRay receiving the order, and you get a tracking email when it leaves.
If it arrives damaged. Note it on the delivery receipt before signing and photograph it. Refuse a punctured or crushed pallet and call us while the driver is there; for minor damage, call before the driver leaves. Report anything found after unpacking within 48 hours.
Where we ship. The contiguous 48 states. We do not ship SunRay to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico.
Not included: the electrical work and the assembly. A licensed electrician hardwires the Harvia heater on a traditional sauna to 240 V. Professional setup and assembly is available on the indoor saunas, and by quote on the others.
Structure: 10 years. The wooden panels, floor, ceiling and glass, from the original date of purchase, for the parts needed to repair a defect. If a structural defect cannot be fixed with a part, SunRay may send a replacement sauna; assembling it is then your cost.
Parts and electronics: 1 year. Every other part, including the heater and the electrical components. Parts replacement only: labor for fitting a part is not covered.
Not covered. Alteration, neglect, misuse, freight damage caused by the carrier, accidents and acts of God. Surface cracks and minor blemishes in the wood are natural, not defects. Report delivery damage within 48 hours, before assembly.
Two conditions decide most claims. Residential use only, because a commercial setting voids the warranty. And installed, run and maintained to the instructions: indoor saunas stay indoors, and an outdoor sauna without a weather cover needs its exterior resealed every year.
Who is covered. The original customer at the original delivery address. The warranty cannot be transferred.
Ask before a repair. Get SunRay's written consent before any repair you expect to be reimbursed. SunRay decides the cause of a fault and whether to repair or replace.
Who handles it. We are a factory-authorized SunRay dealer and file the claim for you. Call us with your order number, the model and photographs.
20 days from the ship date. New, unassembled and resalable; the ship date is in your tracking email. We handle the return, so you do not contact SunRay.
Unassembled means returnable. In its original packaging and crate with the manuals and accessories. A sauna that has been assembled, wired in or heated cannot go back.
What a return costs. A restocking fee of 20% of the purchase price may apply on a change-of-mind return. There is none on a documented freight damage claim.
Who pays the return freight. You do on a change of mind. We cover it when the cause is shipping damage or our error.
Original shipping. We never deduct the original shipping from your refund.
Damaged on arrival. A different and faster process. Note it before signing and photograph it. Refuse a punctured or crushed pallet and call us while the driver is there. Report anything found after unpacking within 48 hours.
Cancelling before it ships. No fee before we place the order with SunRay. After that an administrative fee of up to 5% may apply, and we waive it whenever we are not charged. If we miss our own ship date, you cancel with no fee.
To start a return. Call us for a Return Authorization number before anything ships back. Refunds go to the original payment method within 7 business days of the return being received and inspected.
The SunRay Seneca is a 3 person outdoor traditional sauna in western red cedar
The Seneca (SunRay model 300D5) is a contemporary outdoor cabin: a western red cedar cabin with a black-framed glass door, a metal roof that overhangs the front, and a 6 kW Harvia electric heater with stones. A deep bench with a backrest seats three adults, or gives one person room to stretch out, according to SunRay.
Choose it if you want the clean, modern lines of a flat-topped cabin instead of a pitched roof, a cedar cabin, and a heater with more output than the 4.5 kW pitched roof models. The four seat version of the same design is the Denali.
The wood
Western red cedar
A cedar cabin under a modern metal roof, 11 inches lower than SunRay's pitched roof models.
The seat

A deep bench with an ergonomic backrest in a room 57 by 47 inches.
The heat
Harvia stones and steam
A 6 kW Harvia electric heater. SunRay recommends 125 to 170 F.
Watch
Watch the SunRay Seneca 300D5 outdoor cedar sauna
A one minute phone film from SunRay, shot indoors. It circles the finished cabin with the exterior lamp and the roof edge lights switched on, then opens the black-framed glass door.
Inside, the camera finds the Harvia heater with its name plate in a wooden cradle, the bench with a bucket and ladle, the slatted wall light, the sand timer and hygrometer, and the narrow side window seen from within. The cabin in the film matches the current Seneca photographs.

Footprint first, then height
The cabin stands on a 61 by 51 inch base. The metal roof extends it to 78 by 71 inches, so the overhang is the thing to measure against a wall, a fence or a neighboring structure. At 89 inches overall it sits well below the 100 inch pitched roof models, which helps under a pergola beam or a low tree canopy.
Room inside
Inside, the room is 57 inches wide, 47 deep and 75 high. That is the same floor as the Freeport and Waverly with two more inches of headroom. SunRay describes the seating as room for three adults, or for one person to stretch out.
The heater
The 6 kW Harvia heater in the SunRay Seneca, and how hot it runs
A 6 kW Harvia electric heater with stones sits in a wooden cradle beside the bench, the arrangement shown in SunRay's film.
For dry sauna, leave the stones alone. For steam, ladle water from the wooden bucket over them; bucket and ladle ship with the cabin. SunRay's D5 manual recommends setting the temperature at 125 to 170 F, and 170 F is SunRay's stated maximum. The same page allows about 45 to 60 minutes of warm-up before a session, and when the room reaches the setting the heater cycles on and off to hold it.
The manual recommends sessions of no more than 30 minutes, and points to the roof ventilation and the door for adjusting the heat while you sit. The Harvia heater manual in the shipment covers the controls.

Western red cedar
SunRay specifies western red cedar for the Seneca and the four seat Denali; its pitched roof cabins and the Cayman are hemlock.
The roof and the outside
SunRay's D5 manual builds the Seneca with an interior flat ceiling resting on its roof supports and a metal roof screwed on above it. SunRay lists a sealed exterior, and the manual's cover page asks for the exterior to be sealed again every year. SunRay's warranty makes that yearly reseal a condition for an outdoor sauna without a weather cover.
Compare it with other backyard cabins in our outdoor saunas collection.
Before you order
Preparing for the SunRay Seneca: foundation, sealant and a 240 V circuit
The D5 manual is specific about the base and asks for sealant during assembly. Line these up first.
A sturdy, level surfaceThe manual names a concrete pad, a wood deck or another solid surface, and says never directly on the ground
Moisture under the floorWhere the floor area is damp, lay a floor separator or moisture barrier first
Overhang clearance78 by 71 inches for the roof and 89 inches of height
Sealant and a caulking gunAssembly calls for exterior sealant along the wall bases, the door opening and the outside corners
A dedicated 240 V circuitHard-wired to the heater by a licensed electrician
Two to four adultsThe crew size the D5 manual asks for
Permit and setbackAsk your building department, and your HOA if you have one, whether a detached sauna needs a permit and how far it must sit from the lot line
The electrical requirement
The Seneca's heater is rated 6 kW and needs 240 V, on a dedicated circuit, hard-wired by a licensed electrician. The D5 manual tells you to read the heater manual for the required voltage and amperage, so your electrician sizes the circuit from it and from the National Electrical Code.
Running cost
SunRay Seneca outdoor sauna running cost at 6 kW
Every input on show: 6 kW at full power and 18.34 cents per kilowatt hour (EIA Electric Power Monthly, June 2026).
Full power, 60 minutes
$1.10
6 kWh at 18.34 cents.
Warm-up plus a session
$1.65
An hour heating, 30 minutes inside: 9 kWh.
Three a week for a year
$257
156 sessions at that ceiling.
A traditional heater cycles once the room is at temperature, so the full-power figure is the ceiling and the bill comes in under it. To redo it at your rate, multiply 6 kW by the hours and by your price per kilowatt hour.

Assembly
How the SunRay Seneca outdoor sauna is assembled
SunRay's D5 manual asks for two to four adults.
The floor goes onto the solid, level surface first. Before the back and side walls stand on it, a bead of sealant runs along their bottom edges; the walls then lock together with buckles already fitted to the panels, and the front wall joins on its inner buckles. The door handle fits through the glass door. Inside, the flat ceiling rests on its supports, the light wires connect, the sealed dome light goes in an upper corner and the bench and backrest are screwed in place.
The metal roof is fixed around the perimeter with its roof screws, the outside light goes on, and sealant is applied to the bottom of the door opening and the outside corners. Last, the accessories go up and the heater is set into its cradle, ready for the electrician.

It travels by freight on a lift gate truck, free to the curb in the lower 48; the buy box estimate is in business days.

The range
The SunRay Seneca beside the other SunRay outdoor traditional saunas
The Seneca beside its nearest SunRay outdoor models: the four seat Denali in the same D5 design, the Freeport and Waverly on the same cabin footprint, and the Cayman.
Against the Freeport and Waverly, the Seneca keeps the same 61 by 51 inch cabin but swaps hemlock for cedar, the tall pitched metal roof for a lower one, and the 4.5 kW heater for 6 kW. Those two list Bluetooth and color lighting, which SunRay does not list for the Seneca. For a fourth seat in the same style, the Denali adds an L-shaped bench.
SunRay Seneca warranty: 10 year structure, 1 year heater
SunRay's warranty certificate sets the terms, and it gives the cabin and the electrics different terms.

So far, very pleased with sauna. It was packed very well and easy to put together. … Sauna heats up quickly and has a built in timer that automatically turns sauna off at the end.
Delivery was on time and without damage, with Sauna components neatly and safely packaged. Setup was also straightforward. … An excellent purchase through and through!
