How does delivery work?

Free shipping to the contiguous 48. On every SunRay sauna, by freight from Richmond, Virginia. The estimate on each product page is in business days.

Freight to the curb. A kit of panels or barrel staves, in cartons on a pallet. The freight company calls to book a window, someone signs, and residential deliveries come on a lift gate truck. Plan for two or more people.

Hard to reach addresses. If a truck cannot reach you, a smaller vehicle may cost extra, and we tell you before the delivery is booked.

When it ships. In-stock saunas usually leave SunRay's warehouse within 1 to 2 business days of SunRay receiving the order, and you get a tracking email when it leaves.

If it arrives damaged. Note it on the delivery receipt before signing and photograph it. Refuse a punctured or crushed pallet and call us while the driver is there; for minor damage, call before the driver leaves. Report anything found after unpacking within 48 hours.

Where we ship. The contiguous 48 states. We do not ship SunRay to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico.

Not included: the electrical work and the assembly. A licensed electrician hardwires the Harvia heater on a traditional sauna to 240 V. Professional setup and assembly is available on the indoor saunas, and by quote on the others.

What does the warranty cover?

Structure: 10 years. The wooden panels, floor, ceiling and glass, from the original date of purchase, for the parts needed to repair a defect. If a structural defect cannot be fixed with a part, SunRay may send a replacement sauna; assembling it is then your cost.

Parts and electronics: 1 year. Every other part, including the heater and the electrical components. Parts replacement only: labor for fitting a part is not covered.

Not covered. Alteration, neglect, misuse, freight damage caused by the carrier, accidents and acts of God. Surface cracks and minor blemishes in the wood are natural, not defects. Report delivery damage within 48 hours, before assembly.

Two conditions decide most claims. Residential use only, because a commercial setting voids the warranty. And installed, run and maintained to the instructions: indoor saunas stay indoors, and an outdoor sauna without a weather cover needs its exterior resealed every year.

Who is covered. The original customer at the original delivery address. The warranty cannot be transferred.

Ask before a repair. Get SunRay's written consent before any repair you expect to be reimbursed. SunRay decides the cause of a fault and whether to repair or replace.

Who handles it. We are a factory-authorized SunRay dealer and file the claim for you. Call us with your order number, the model and photographs.

What if I need to return it?

20 days from the ship date. New, unassembled and resalable; the ship date is in your tracking email. We handle the return, so you do not contact SunRay.

Unassembled means returnable. In its original packaging and crate with the manuals and accessories. A sauna that has been assembled, wired in or heated cannot go back.

What a return costs. A restocking fee of 20% of the purchase price may apply on a change-of-mind return. There is none on a documented freight damage claim.

Who pays the return freight. You do on a change of mind. We cover it when the cause is shipping damage or our error.

Original shipping. We never deduct the original shipping from your refund.

Damaged on arrival. A different and faster process. Note it before signing and photograph it. Refuse a punctured or crushed pallet and call us while the driver is there. Report anything found after unpacking within 48 hours.

Cancelling before it ships. No fee before we place the order with SunRay. After that an administrative fee of up to 5% may apply, and we waive it whenever we are not charged. If we miss our own ship date, you cancel with no fee.

To start a return. Call us for a Return Authorization number before anything ships back. Refunds go to the original payment method within 7 business days of the return being received and inspected.

The short answer

The SunRay Pacific is a modern 4 person outdoor infrared sauna with an extra-wide bench

SunRay's 400D6 Pacific is the four seat model in its modern D6 series: a flat roofed hemlock cabin 72 inches wide and 62 deep, with what SunRay calls an extra-wide bench, 73 inches of interior height, LED lighting inside and out, and Bluetooth sound. Its far-infrared heaters draw 4,800 watts on a 240 V dedicated circuit and bring the room to about 140 F. Of SunRay's outdoor infrared cabins it has the largest interior, which is the reason to choose it when four people will use the sauna together.

Four abreast

Extra-wide bench

A 68 by 57 inch interior, the most floor of any SunRay outdoor infrared model, for up to four adults.

Height inside

73 in ceiling

Room to sit tall under the flat roof, five inches more than SunRay's pitched roof four seater.

Design

Modern flat roof

A flat metal composite roof and exterior LED lighting, for a contemporary house or yard.

Watch

The SunRay Pacific outdoor infrared sauna on film

SunRay's own film of the Pacific, a minute long, shot in portrait in the factory.

The gray cabin is shown from the front and the corner: the flat roof with lights under its overhang, the glass door between two windows and the wooden door pull. Inside, the camera moves over the infrared heaters glowing on the back and side walls, the bench and the heater along its front, the control panel, and the ceiling light panel and downlight.

Space for four

SunRay Pacific size and footprint for a 4 person outdoor sauna

The cabin stands 72 by 62 inches; the flat roof spreads to 88 by 82. It is the roof footprint that your pad or deck has to accommodate.

Outside the Pacific

Cabin 72 W x 62 D in (the D6 manual gives 61.5 D)
Overall height 88 in

Capacity Up to four adults
SunRay Pacific interior: long hemlock bench with five infrared panels behind the backrest, side panels and one in the bench front
The Pacific's long hemlock bench, with heater panels behind the backrest, on the side walls and in the bench front.

What 68 by 57 inches buys you

The depth is the difference. At 57 inches inside, the Pacific is nine inches deeper than SunRay's pitched roof four seater, the Cayenne, which means more legroom in front of the bench. It is also three inches wider inside, and the flat roof gives it 73 inches of interior height rather than 68.

On the outside the roof is the big number. At 88 by 82 inches it covers more ground than any other SunRay outdoor infrared model, so mark it out on the site before ordering, and check the 88 inch height against eaves, a pergola or overhanging branches.

Heat

How the SunRay Pacific heats four people

Far-infrared heaters on the walls and in the bench support, 4,800 watts in all, and a dry room that reaches about 140 F.

On the D6 series one of the heaters is built into the vertical bench support, which slots down between the side walls during assembly; its plugs connect inside the bench cavity. The rest come installed in the wall panels. SunRay's D6 manual budgets about 30 minutes of warm-up and recommends a setting of 40 to 50 C, about 104 to 122 F, while the cabin can reach about 140 F. Once it gets to your setting, the heaters cycle on and off by themselves.

There are no stones and there is no water in the Pacific; it is a dry cabin. Infrared warms the people on the bench directly, so it works at air temperatures below a traditional Finnish sauna. For a fuller explanation, see our infrared vs traditional sauna guide.

Controls

The D6 control panel, per SunRay's manual, has power, timer and temperature buttons, a Celsius and Fahrenheit switch, a color-changing LED light that cycles through seven colors, an interior light button and music control. Bluetooth appears on your phone as "audio". The exterior lights are switched separately, from a button on the back of the bench.

The build

The SunRay Pacific modern sauna: materials and finish

A hemlock cabin, a flat metal composite roof over an inner roof, and lighting that frames the cabin at night.

Hemlock with a sealed exterior

SunRay builds the Pacific in hemlock and seals the outside before it ships. The D6 manual recommends repainting or resealing the exterior every year. For an outdoor sauna standing without a weather cover, SunRay's warranty certificate makes that yearly reseal the owner's responsibility, so it is worth making a habit.

The flat roof

Two layers: an inner roof, and above it the metal composite roof on its frame. Silicone runs along the middle seam where the metal composite overlaps, and screws fix the roof at each corner and at the middle, with more where needed. Once fixed, its white plastic cover is peeled off. A ceiling vent lets out heat during a session.

Inside and out

LED lighting on the interior and exterior, the color-changing LED light overhead, a digital control panel, Bluetooth speakers, cup holders and a backrest you mount at the height you prefer during assembly.

Before you order

Preparing for a SunRay Pacific: pad, roof clearance and 240 V

Six checks, with the electrical work the one to book earliest.

  • A sturdy level foundationA concrete pad, wood deck or other solid surface, as SunRay's D6 manual specifies, and never directly on soil. If the floor could get damp, fit a floor separator or moisture barrier
  • 88 by 82 inches for the roofPlus 88 inches of height, clear of gutters, eaves and trees
  • A 240 V dedicated circuitInstalled by a licensed electrician for the Pacific alone
  • The way inRoughly 887 pounds of freight is left at the curb; plan how it reaches the pad
  • Silicone and a gunFor the wall edges, the roof seam, the outside corners and the door threshold
  • What your town allowsBefore choosing the site, ask the local building office and any HOA about permits for the structure and the 240 V run, and the required setbacks

The Pacific's electrical need

At 4,800 watts the Pacific asks the most of your panel of any SunRay outdoor infrared model, twice the Cayenne and well above the Logan. The D6 manual states that the sauna must be installed on a dedicated electrical circuit at 240 V, and SunRay's own listing calls for a dedicated 240 V outlet. Your electrician decides the connection on site and sizes the circuit.

Get an electrician's quote before you order. A 4,800 watt load on a 240 V line across the yard is real work, and the price depends on your panel's spare capacity and the distance. Give them the figures: 4,800 W, 240 V, a circuit for the sauna alone, sized to the NEC and your local code.

Running cost

SunRay Pacific running costs at US electricity prices

Based on SunRay's 4,800 watts, or 4.8 kilowatts, at 18.34 cents per kilowatt hour, the June 2026 national residential rate in the EIA's Electric Power Monthly.

Per session

88 cents

A 60 minute run: the D6 manual's 30 minute warm-up and a 30 minute sit, 4.8 kilowatt hours at full power.

Per month

$10.56

Twelve sessions, about three a week, totaling 57.6 kilowatt hours.

Per year

$126.77

Twelve sessions a month for twelve months, 691.2 kilowatt hours.

These are ceilings. The heaters cycle once the cabin reaches its setting, so the hour does not run at 4.8 kilowatts throughout. Shared between four people, a session costs about 22 cents each at full power.

What you get

Contents of the SunRay Pacific delivery

Assembly

How to assemble the SunRay Pacific outdoor sauna

The D6 sequence: base, walls on buckles, bench support, front panel, roof, then silicone.

Set the base on the solid, level surface. Spread sealant along the edges and the bottom of the back and side walls, stand the back wall on the base with its corners aligned, then fix the side walls to it using the buckles at each corner. The bench support, with its heater, drops into slots already mounted on the side panels; connect its heater plugs inside the bench cavity and screw the extra-wide seat to it with two 35 mm screws.

Lift the front panel slightly so its inner buckles catch on the side panel buckles. SunRay suggests removing the door first if the panel is awkward to handle, then fitting the handle with two 20 mm Phillips screws. Mount the backrest support at your chosen height, place the inner and outer roof, apply silicone to the seam where the metal composite overlaps and screw the roof down at the corners and middle. Finish with silicone on the outside corners and the door threshold.

Delivery day

Delivery of the SunRay Pacific outdoor infrared sauna

Freight is free to the curb in the lower 48, on a lift gate truck. The estimate in the buy box is counted in business days.

Before it comes

The carrier calls to arrange a window. An adult must be present to sign, and the 887 pound shipment needs more than one person to move.

On arrival

Inspect the pallet and each carton before signing. Photograph anything crushed, torn or wet and record it on the delivery receipt.

Once unloaded

Unpack on a dry surface and check the panels, the door and the roof pieces with the packaging still at hand.

Write any visible damage on the delivery receipt before the driver goes. Then phone us at (888) 500-5675 while the truck is there, and we will decide with you whether to accept the delivery. See the SunRay shipping policy for the terms.

Returns. The window is 20 days from the date it ships, with the cabin unassembled and in its original crate. A change-of-mind return means you pay the return freight and a 20% restocking fee may apply, and the original shipping is never deducted. Full steps: the SunRay return policy.

Comparing the SunRay Pacific with the rest of SunRay's outdoor infrared line

The Pacific is the large modern model. Its nearest alternatives are the Cayenne, a pitched roof four seater, and the Logan, a smaller cabin in the same modern style.

If the Pacific's 4,800 watt circuit is the sticking point, the Cayenne seats four on 2,400 watts with a pitched roof and a shallower interior. If two seats will do and you want the same modern design, the Logan is the smaller D6 cabin.

Buyer questions

SunRay Pacific 4 person outdoor sauna FAQ

How much space does the SunRay Pacific take up?

The Pacific cabin is 72 inches wide and 62 deep, 88 inches high, and its flat roof covers 88 by 82 inches, so plan the pad to the roof. Inside there is 68 by 57 inches of floor and a 73 inch ceiling, with an extra-wide bench for up to four adults.

What power supply does the SunRay Pacific require?

A 240 V dedicated circuit for a 4,800 watt load, the highest of SunRay's outdoor infrared saunas. SunRay's D6 manual requires a circuit of its own, and a licensed electrician sizes the circuit to the NEC and decides the connection.

How quickly does the SunRay Pacific warm up?

SunRay's D6 manual allows about 30 minutes. The manual's suggested setting is 40 to 50 C, around 104 to 122 F, and the cabin can reach about 140 F. After it reaches your setting the heaters cycle to hold the temperature, and SunRay recommends keeping sessions to 60 minutes or less.

Does the SunRay Pacific use stones or steam?

No. The Pacific is a dry far-infrared sauna with no stove and no stones, so there is no steam. SunRay's manual warns that excess water stains or warps the wood, so keep towels on the bench and dry off before sitting. For steam, a traditional sauna with an electric heater is the right type.

What is covered by the SunRay Pacific warranty?

SunRay covers the wooden panels, floor, ceiling and glass for ten years and the heaters and electrical components for one year, parts only. The warranty is for residential use by the original buyer, and outdoors without a weather cover the exterior must be resealed each year, a duty the certificate places on the owner.

How does delivery of the SunRay Pacific work?

It ships free by freight in the lower 48 as flat panels with a shipping weight of 887 pounds, unloaded at the curb from a lift gate truck. The carrier calls to book the window, an adult signs, and any visible damage is written on the delivery receipt before the driver leaves.

What does the SunRay Pacific sit on outdoors?

A sturdy, level surface such as a concrete pad or a wood deck, according to SunRay's D6 manual, and never directly on the ground. Where the floor might be damp, the manual asks for a floor separator or moisture barrier so the base stays dry.

Should I choose the SunRay Pacific or the SunRay Cayenne?

Both seat four on 240 V. The Pacific has the larger interior, 68 by 57 inches with a 73 inch ceiling under a flat modern roof, and draws 4,800 watts. The Cayenne is 65 by 48 inches inside with a 68 inch ceiling under a pitched roof, at 2,400 watts. Choose on space, style and how much electrical work the site allows.
