How does delivery work?
How does delivery work?
Free to the contiguous 48. Every Power Plate model we sell ships free within the contiguous 48 states.
How it arrives. The pro and my series platforms travel by freight; the MOVE, the Personal Power Plate and the REV travel by a carrier Power Plate selects. These are heavy machines, so plan for someone to be there to receive the delivery and sign for it.
Check your access first. Power Plate's manuals say never to lift or move a platform without assistance, and its dealer terms include no inside delivery or placement. Check door widths, steps and turns between the delivery point and the room, and ask us before you order if you need the machine carried inside.
When it ships. Power Plate publishes a lead time of usually within 4 weeks and treats every shipping date as an estimate. We confirm your delivery date once the order is placed and pass on the carrier's appointment details as soon as we have them. If a date does not work, tell us straight away.
Where it ships. Free shipping covers the contiguous 48 states. Power Plate charges extra for Alaska, Hawaii and Canada, so those are quoted case by case: contact us before ordering.
If it arrives damaged. Check the shipment with the driver still there, write any damage on the delivery receipt before you sign, and photograph the packaging and the machine. Then call us the same day and we handle the carrier claim. Power Plate's manuals say never to run a machine that has been dropped, tipped over or damaged until an authorized Power Plate service professional has checked it.
What does the warranty cover?

Coverage by model. pro8, my8, pro5, pro5HP, my5 and MOVE: 3 years on hardware, 1 year on electronics, 1 year on labor. REV: 2 years on the frame and gearbox, 1 year on electronics, 6 months on wear parts. Personal Power Plate: 1 year on hardware, electronics and labor.
From the date of purchase. Keep your order confirmation. The terms cover machines bought, delivered and used in the United States.
What is covered. A machine Power Plate finds defective as a result of manufacturing. Power Plate chooses whether to repair it, replace it or refund the purchase price, and that is the remedy the warranty gives.
What is not. Faults caused by improper use, storage or handling, by not maintaining the machine with reasonable care, or by abnormal conditions including abuse, neglect or catastrophe.
Two things void it. The pro8 and my8 manuals say pulling the proMOTION cables past the colored line voids the warranty, and that unauthorized changes or maintenance could void it. There are no user serviceable parts inside, so any service goes to an authorized Power Plate service professional.
Business use. Power Plate's terms limit the warranty to machines bought for resale or for use in that business. How that applies to a particular gym, studio or clinic is something we confirm with Power Plate before you order, so ask us first.
Who handles it. Performance Health Systems, the company behind Power Plate, is the warrantor and we handle every claim for you. Call (888) 500-5675 with your order number, model, serial number and photographs.
What if I need to return it?
What if I need to return it?
30 days from delivery. The machine must be in new condition with all its accessories. Any damage to the machine while it was in your hands may be deducted from the refund, so keep the packaging until you are sure you are keeping it.
What a return costs. A restocking fee may apply: 15 percent of the purchase price on an opened machine and 5 percent on one still unopened in its packaging. The free shipping on your original order is never deducted.
Who pays the freight. You do on a change of mind. Power Plate's refund policy says its My Series and Pro Series platforms must be delivered, installed and picked up by Power Plate authorized partners if returned, so we arrange it and give you the return freight figure before the pickup is booked.
When the cause is ours. If it is shipping damage or an error on our side, we cover the return and nothing is deducted, and no restocking fee applies to documented freight damage.
Damaged on arrival. A different and faster process. Note it on the delivery receipt before signing, photograph the packaging and the machine, and call us the same day. We handle the carrier claim.
Cancelling before it ships. No fee before we place the order with Power Plate. After that an administrative fee of up to 5 percent may apply, we waive it whenever we are not charged, and there is no fee at all if we miss the ship date we gave you.
Accessories, and how to start. Same 30 day window, but Power Plate accepts accessories back only unopened and unused. Call (888) 500-5675; a Return Authorization number is required before anything goes back.

The Personal Power Plate whole body vibration plate
The Personal Power Plate is a floor platform with no column, 27.5 by 18.7 inches and 6.7 inches tall, that vibrates at a set 35 Hz. It weighs 40.4 lb, carries a maximum load of 264 lb and runs from a remote control as well as its own console.
Pick low or high amplitude, pick a 30 or 60 second set, press start, and hold a squat, a push-up, a calf stretch or a seated position on the platform for the length of the set.

Before you order
Where the Personal Power Plate goes
The platform is small, but the manual wants a clear zone of at least three feet around it, free of furniture and other obstructions, on a hard and level surface.
Choosing the spot
The manual rules out outdoor use, anywhere near a pool or other water, and rooms with extreme humidity, since water can short the electronics. Its operating range is 59 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit (15 to 40 Celsius), so a cold basement or an unheated sunroom in January may sit below the bottom of that range.
Leave the wall socket within easy reach. Pulling the plug is the way the machine is disconnected, and the manual asks for it to be unplugged whenever nobody is using it.
Between sessions
The maker describes it as easy to store under a bed or in a small closet. At 6.7 inches tall, it needs a bed frame with more clearance than that. The storage range in the manual is 50 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit at 10 to 95% relative humidity. The manual also says never to lift or move the machine in an unsafe manner.
What it costs to run
The manual and the sell sheet give a nominal power of 20 to 55 watts; the maker's website gives 160 to 185 watts in operation. Take the larger number and a full hour switched on comes to about 3.4 cents at 18.34 cents per kilowatt hour, the US average residential rate in June 2026 (EIA).
Who it suits
Who the Personal is for, and who should ask a doctor first
The Personal's manual describes its users as adults who are medically cleared for weight bearing exercise, generally healthy adults of 16 or older. Anyone else needs a physician's clearance and medical supervision.
Power Plate's physician-reviewed guidance: "You should not use a vibration plate without your doctor's approval if you:
Are pregnant
Have a pacemaker or implanted medical device
Have cardiovascular disease, uncontrolled high blood pressure, or serious heart conditions
Have had recent surgery, especially joint replacements or spinal procedures
Have deep vein thrombosis (DVT), blood clots, or clotting disorders"
No list covers every condition, so your own doctor decides.
Before any new exercise program, the manual asks you to see a physician for a physical examination and clearance. If you feel dizzy, faint, nauseous, short of breath or in pain during a session, stop immediately and consult a physician. Do not over exert yourself or work to exhaustion; the manual warns that injury could result. It also recommends drinking at least 300 ml of water before, during and after each session. In the manual's words, "Close supervision is required when the machine is used by, or near, children or disabled persons."
Feet, knees and balance on a small platform
The manual's stance for the Personal: knees soft and over your toes, weight carried on the balls of your feet, never rocked back onto your heels, and no locked knees, elbows or straight legs. Stay near the middle of the platform. Weight placed close to the edge can make the Personal unstable. Train in rubber soled shoes, or on the contoured mat if you are barefoot or in socks, and put the mat down whenever your hands, forearms or seat touch the platform. Extra weights are for people coached by an exercise professional or with long experience of weight training or with Power Plate.
Build up gently: the manual advises low amplitude, short sets and a few exercises at first, with rests as long as the work.
Rules for every user of the Personal, from its manual
- Follow the directions on the console, and take care getting on and off.
- While the platform is running, keep hands out from under it, do not tip it on its side, and push nothing into its openings. If something falls in, switch the machine off and unplug it before reaching for it; if you cannot reach it, call an authorized Power Plate service professional.
- Use the Personal only for the purposes in its manual, and only with attachments that came with it or that the maker has approved.
- Examine it regularly for damage and wear. After a drop, a fall onto its side, any damage or any time it has been even partly in water, do not run it until an authorized Power Plate service professional has checked it.
- Before each session, make sure it is working properly, and unplug it when it is not in use. Do not use it during a power interruption.
- The manual says the device is "not suitable for use in the presence of flammable anesthetic mixtures with air or with oxygen or nitrous oxide."
- For a fault in the power supply to the machine, the manual strongly recommends a licensed electrician rather than a repair of your own.

How it works
What the Personal Power Plate platform does
There is no frequency dial on the Personal. It always vibrates at 35 Hz, and the work you ask of your muscles is what changes from one session to the next.
35 Hz, two amplitudes, two timer lengths
At 35 Hz the platform moves 35 times a second. Amplitude, which the manual defines as the vertical distance the plate travels on each vibration, has two settings, low and high. The timer gives a set of 30 or 60 seconds. No g force figure is published for the Personal.
The manual explains that tensed muscles absorb the vibration. In practice that means holding each position with your muscles engaged, joints slightly bent, instead of standing loosely on the platform.
Making a session harder or easier
With one fixed frequency, progress comes from the variables the manual lists: set length, rest between sets, how many exercises you do, the amplitude, and how hard the muscle works, for example a deeper bend at the joint or balancing on one leg. It proposes two to three sessions a week, with stretching and relaxation work more often.

Small enough to put away
The Personal Power Plate size, controls and remote
A 6.7 inch tall platform with no column needs only a handful of controls, and the Personal has four: Start/Stop, Repeat, 30/60 seconds for the timer, and Low/High for the amplitude.
The console sits at the back edge of the platform, with a small display between its buttons, and a rocker switch on the lower back of the console turns the machine on and off.
You will not find programs, a touchscreen or a frequency setting here, and the manual calls it very easy to operate.
Buying for a hotel, spa or fitness center
The manual names three kinds of setting for the Personal: domestic or personal use, fitness centers, and hotels, spas and resorts. The maker's website, on the other hand, grades it as consumer equipment. The carrying case is where the documents part ways. The 2023 sell sheet describes "various optional case choices for travel". The 2018 manual lists a soft cloth carrying case among the included items, while the website's list of included items does not mention a case. Call us and we will confirm whether one ships with your order.
Care and upkeep
Nothing inside the Personal is user serviceable. Before cleaning, unplug it and let it stand for a minute. Wipe the finish with a damp cloth, putting the cleaner on the cloth rather than the machine, and avoid scrubbing pads, bristles and acid based products, which harm the lacquer. The platform and contoured mat take a soft brush, and electrical parts only a dry cloth. If it rattles, the manual's troubleshooting says to unplug it, wait a minute and check that the feet are tight. Other repairs belong with an authorized Power Plate service professional, and unauthorized changes or maintenance could void the warranty.

Height and weight differ between documents. The 2018 manual prints 6.2 inches and 37.2 lb, and powerplate.com prints both 6.2 inches with 40.4 lb and, in a second block, 7 inches with 40 lb; the table uses the newer 2023 sell sheet.

Which one fits
Keep the Personal if a fixed 35 Hz and short timed sets are enough and storage matters most. The MOVE stays low to the floor but offers 30, 35 or 40 Hz at two amplitudes and a count up timer to 9 minutes, and it weighs 85 lb.
