Shipping & Delivery
Shipping & Delivery
Every Harvia heater and stove ships free to the contiguous 48. What changes across the range is not the cost to you but how it arrives: electric heaters come by parcel and need nobody home, while wood-burning stoves come palletized by freight, by appointment, to the curb. Call (888) 500-5675 if you want the delivery method for your exact model confirmed before you order.
Electric heaters ship by parcel. Wall-mounted and pillar heaters run roughly 29 to 55 pounds, so they travel as insured ground parcel. No delivery appointment, no liftgate, no waiting in. These are the models that ship free to the lower 48.
Wood-burning stoves ship by freight. A wood stove can weigh several hundred pounds before you add stone, so it moves palletized on an LTL carrier. Freight is included to the contiguous 48. What a pallet changes is the handling: a delivery appointment, a signature, and curbside drop rather than a carrier leaving it at the door.
Sauna stones ship separately and they are heavy. A heater takes anywhere from one box to thirteen at roughly 44 pounds a box. Because of that weight, shipping is charged per box at checkout, including when the stones are ordered with a heater.
Scheduling your delivery. Parcel shipments need nobody home. For freight, the carrier calls to arrange an appointment window and someone must be there to sign. Curbside is the standard: the driver will not bring a pallet inside or up steps, so arrange help for a heavy stove.
Where we ship. The contiguous 48 states. Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and Canada are quoted case by case, so contact us before ordering.
Inspect before you sign. Check the carton or pallet for damage while the driver is still there, and note any damage on the delivery receipt at the time of signing. Then contact us the same day. A clean signature with no damage noted makes a freight claim much harder to win, and this one habit is what decides most claims.
Lead times. Harvia stock for this market moves through a US distributor, so most orders ship promptly. Some part numbers are supplied from Finland and take longer. We confirm the position for your specific model when you order rather than publishing an average that would be wrong for half the range.
Questions before you order? Ten minutes on the phone confirming freight, lead time and what else has to be on the same pallet is cheaper than a surprise after you have paid.
Warranty
Warranty
Harvia covers its sauna heaters and wood-burning stoves against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. Coverage runs from your date of purchase, so keep your receipt. Harvia US Inc. is the warrantor for North America.
Coverage periods. Residential family use: 2 years on electric heaters, controls and steam generators including the heating elements, and 2 years on wood-burning stoves. Commercial use: 2 years on electric heaters, controls and electronics but 6 months on heating elements, and 6 months on wood-burning stoves.
Register within 30 days and Harvia adds a third year. Registration is free and needs the model, serial number and purchase date. We send you the link and your serial number with your order, so you do not have to go looking for it. Electric heaters in residential use only. Almost no retailer mentions it, and it is worth a full extra year.
What is covered. Defects in manufacture and materials. Harvia will repair the product or supply replacement parts through the importer. Replacing a part does not extend the original period.
What is not. Normal wear, improper installation, poor maintenance, failure to follow the instructions, alterations and improper use. Sauna stones are a consumable and are not covered, and stones Harvia does not specify for your model can void cover.
Professional installation is a condition. Harvia requires that the unit is installed and wired by a licensed electrician and that proof of professional installation can be presented with a claim. Keep your installer's invoice with your receipt. A heater wired by the owner is outside the warranty.
Transport damage has a seven day limit. Harvia requires that you check the product for transport or storage damage on receipt, and that any damage found is reported to the seller or the carrier immediately and no later than seven days after delivery. We ask you to call us the same day because a claim is far easier to win with the damage noted on the delivery receipt, but seven days is the outside limit in Harvia’s own terms.
Changing how you use it ends the cover. Harvia states that the warranty period expires immediately if the primary intended use changes during the period, in either direction. Moving a heater from a family sauna into a gym, a rental or any other commercial setting ends the residential cover rather than converting it. Tell us before you order if the room will be used commercially, so we can quote it on the right terms from the start.
A callout for a fault that is not covered can be charged. If the defect turns out to fall outside the warranty, Harvia is entitled to charge for the work of finding it, including labour, travel and shipping at actual cost. Call us first and we will work through the symptoms with you before anything is booked, which is usually enough to tell whether it is a warranty fault, an installation issue or a stone problem.
How to make a claim. Call (888) 500-5675 or email sales@recoveryroomdirect.com with your order number, model and serial number, and a description of the fault. Photographs help. We open the claim with Harvia US on your behalf.
Return Policy
Return Policy
If a Harvia heater or stove is not right, you have 30 days from the date of purchase to return it. All return communication is handled by our team at Recovery Room Direct. You do not need to contact the manufacturer or the distributor yourself.
Condition required. The unit must be new, uninstalled and in resalable condition with its original packaging and all included parts. A heater that has been wired in, fired, or loaded with stones counts as installed and cannot be returned.
How to start a return. Call (888) 500-5675 or email sales@recoveryroomdirect.com with your order number. A Return Authorization number is required before anything goes back, and product returned without one can be refused. We will give you the RA number and the return address.
What a return costs. You get full credit for the product, less a repackaging fee that typically runs about 20 to 50 dollars depending on the item. There is no percentage restocking fee on a standard customer return, which is better than most of what we carry, where 15 to 20 percent is normal.
Who pays the return freight. You do on a change of mind. We do, and the distributor does, when the cause is shipping damage or an error on our side. Nothing is deducted for freight in those cases.
Damaged on arrival is a different process, and it is time sensitive. Note the damage on the delivery receipt before you sign, photograph the carton and the contents, and call us the same day. Concealed damage found after signing is much harder to claim, so open the box on delivery day even if you are not installing for weeks.
Sauna stones. Stone is sold by weight and is not returnable once a box is opened. Order the quantity your model takes and ask us if you are unsure, because the amount is set by the heater rather than by the room.
Control units and accessories. Same 30 day window and the same condition requirement. A control unit that has been wired in cannot be returned.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Harvia Wood-Burning Stove Package
Harvia Cilindro 20 Wood-Burning Sauna Stove Package
The Cilindro 20 is a Harvia wood-burning stove, and like any wood stove it needs more around it than an electric heater. This package puts it together with the Harvia WHP1500 steel chimney kit and a 1000 mm extension, the WL200PC fireplace screen and the WL120 round protection base that Harvia lists for it, and six boxes of AC3020 stone.
At 17kW Harvia recommends the Cilindro 20 for rooms of 283 to 706 cubic feet. Choose stainless or black steel for the chimney. The package is priced at the parts added together, with the stove at the same price it carries on its own and nothing added for putting the package together.

In the package
Five parts around the stove
Pick stainless or black steel above. Only the chimney kit and the extension change with that choice.
1 × Harvia Cilindro 20 stove
The 17kW wood-burning stove in stainless steel, with its ash box and grate, adjustable feet (0 to 30 mm) for an uneven floor and the installation and operating instructions.
1 × Harvia WHP1500 or WHP1500M chimney kit
Harvia's insulated steel chimney, a 115 mm smoke pipe inside a 220 mm insulated casing, supplied as a 1500 mm kit with the utility box, non-insulated smoke pipe, rain cap, rubber rain flange and its installation set, ceiling lead-through flange, and lead-through insulation and protector.
1 × Harvia WHP1000 or WHP1000M extension
A 1000 mm extension section matching the kit's 115 mm pipe and 220 mm insulated casing, in the same stainless or black steel as the kit.
1 × Harvia WL200PC fireplace screen
Harvia's stainless steel screen for the Cilindro, attached to the stove. Harvia's Cilindro manual rates it as equivalent to simple lightweight protection, and its accessory sheet gives the reduced clearances that apply with it fitted.
1 × Harvia WL120 round protection base
Harvia's round protection base, 624 mm (24.6 in) across on four adjustable feet. Harvia's Cilindro manual calls for it on a tiled or flammable floor; a concrete floor at least 60 mm (2.4 in) thick needs none.
6 × Harvia AC3020 stones, 44 lb boxes
Split-face olivine diabase, 4 to 6 inches across, the larger grade a wood stove needs. Harvia rates the Cilindro 20 for up to 264.6 lbs of stone, so six 20 kg (44 lb) boxes fill it almost exactly.

How much chimney a room needs depends on ceiling height, roof type and route, so we check the run with you before your order ships and tell you exactly what it takes.
Harvia's chimney manual keeps the insulated chimney's outer casing at least 100 mm (3.9 in) from combustible structures, and an uninsulated connecting pipe at least 500 mm (19.7 in) from combustible materials.
On a flammable floor Harvia's Cilindro manual also calls for a spark protector on the floor outside the firebox hatch. That piece is not part of this package.
Your chimney has to be temperature class T600 for a Harvia wood stove, and in most places a solid-fuel appliance and its flue need a permit and an inspection.
Already have a chimney? The Cilindro 20 is also sold on its own on the Harvia Cilindro 20 stove page.
Harvia Cilindro 20 Features
What the stove gives you at 17kW
264.6 lbs of stone
On a wood stove the stone does the work of holding heat. It absorbs the fire's heat and gives it back slowly, so the room holds temperature between loads and a ladle of water produces steam rather than a hiss. Harvia rates this stove at 264.6 lbs of stone at 4 to 6 inches across, which is a larger grade than most electric heaters take.
No electricity, no controller
There is no element, no thermostat, no control unit and no wiring. It needs no electrical supply, so it works in a cabin with no power at all. What you give up is the timer: you cannot preheat it from the house, you light it and wait.
Steel body, CE and EAC marks
Welded steel, tested to the European standard EN 15821:2010 by VTT in Finland (notified body 0809). Harvia publishes CE and EAC marks for this stove and does not publish a North American listing for it. CE is a European conformity marking, not a US or Canadian listing. Depending on where you live that can affect permitting, inspection and what your home insurer will accept for a solid-fuel appliance. Check with your local building department and your insurer before ordering, and call us if you want us to check the position for this specific stove.
Sizing the Cilindro 20
Is 17kW the right output for your room?
Measure length × width × height in feet. A wood stove has a real minimum as well as a maximum, which an electric heater mostly does not: put a 17kW fire in a room smaller than 283 cubic feet and you cannot keep it comfortable, because the fire does not throttle the way an element does. Size it inside the range rather than at either edge.
Cold surfaces change the answer, and a glass door counts. Harvia's manuals treat brick, glass, tile and concrete as non-insulated surface and say to add 1.2 cubic meters of volume for every square meter of it, which works out near 3.9 cubic feet for every square foot. Harvia's own worked examples: a 10 cubic meter room with a glass door behaves like a 12 cubic meter room, and the same room with a 2 by 2 meter brick wall behaves like 15. If you are close to the limit, size up rather than down.
Log walls without insulation heat slowly. Harvia advises multiplying the room volume by 1.5 before choosing output in that case.
Chimney, clearances and firewood
The three numbers to check before you order
1. The flue is 4.5 inches, not 6. Harvia specifies a 115 mm connection opening and a minimum internal flue diameter of 110 mm, which is 4.5 and 4.3 inches. Standard North American stove pipe is 6 or 8 inches, so you will not match this at a hardware store. That is why this package uses Harvia's own steel chimney, whose 115 mm smoke pipe matches the opening, and the chimney has to be temperature class T600.
2. Check your firewood length. The firebox takes logs up to 39 cm, which is 15.4 inches, at 3 to 6 inches thick. US cordwood is sold cut to 16 inches as standard, so a cord ordered the normal way will not fit. Specify the length when you buy, or plan to cut it down.
3. Clearances.
Harvia publishes these minimum distances to combustible material for the Cilindro 20:
| Ceiling | 1000 mm (39.4 in) |
|---|---|
| Either side | 150 mm (5.9 in) |
| In front | 500 mm (19.7 in) |
| Behind | 200 mm (7.9 in) |
Against a masonry wall the figure drops to 50 mm (2 in), or 100 mm (4 in) if the stove sits in a recess, provided air can circulate at the front and one side.
The stove needs a floor that can carry 130.1 lbs of stove plus 264.6 lbs of stone. On concrete at least 60 mm (2.4 in) thick Harvia's manual asks for no floor protection. On a tiled floor it calls for a Harvia fireplace protection base or similar heat radiation protection. On a flammable floor it calls for the protection base, plus a spark protector on the floor outside the firebox hatch. Ash, stone chips and metal flakes will mark a light floor, so Harvia recommends dark floor materials and dark grout under and around the stove.

Harvia Cilindro 20 Package FAQ
Questions buyers ask about the Cilindro 20 package
What is in the Harvia Cilindro 20 package?
Six parts: the Cilindro 20 wood-burning stove, a Harvia WHP1500 steel chimney kit and a 1000 mm WHP1000 extension in stainless steel or black steel, the WL200PC fireplace screen, the WL120 protection base and six 44 lb boxes of Harvia AC3020 stone. The package is priced at those parts added together, with the stove at the same price it carries on its own and nothing added for putting the package together. What the package adds is the matching: the chimney, screen and protection base are the parts Harvia lists for this stove, and the stone is the 4 to 6 inch grade a wood stove takes.
Is the chimney in the package long enough for my sauna?
The package pairs the 1500 mm kit with a 1000 mm extension. How many sections a room needs depends on ceiling height and roof type, and a through-wall route can change it again, so we check the run with you before your order ships and tell you exactly what it takes rather than leaving you to guess at lengths.
Do I need a flue adapter with this package?
No. The Harvia chimney in the package has a 115 mm smoke pipe, which matches the Cilindro 20's 115 mm (4.5 inch) connection opening. An adapter only comes into it when the stove goes onto standard 6 inch US stove pipe instead.
What size sauna room does the Harvia Cilindro 20 heat?
Harvia rates the Cilindro 20 for rooms of 283 to 706 cubic feet. Multiply your room length, width and height in feet. Unlike an electric heater a wood stove has a real minimum as well as a maximum, because the fire cannot be throttled the way an element can, so a stove this size in a room below the minimum will overheat it. Non-insulated surface counts, and so does a glass door: Harvia adds 1.2 cubic meters of volume for every square meter of brick, glass, tile or concrete, which is near 3.9 cubic feet for every square foot. Add that before you compare against the range.
Why a screen and a protection base?
The WL200PC is the fireplace screen Harvia's Cilindro manual lists for this stove, rated as equivalent to simple lightweight protection, with its own reduced clearances. The WL120 is the fireplace protection base Harvia's Cilindro manual calls for on a tiled or flammable floor, and on a flammable floor the manual also asks for a spark protector outside the firebox hatch, which is not in the package. Clearances are a code matter and your inspector has the final say.
Are six boxes of stone enough?
Yes. Harvia rates the Cilindro 20 to hold up to 264.6 lbs of stone, and six 20 kg boxes of AC3020 hold 264 lbs, which fills it almost exactly. Wood stoves take stone 4 to 6 inches across. AC3000, the smaller 2 to 4 inch grade used in electric heaters, is the wrong stone here.
How long can the firewood be?
Up to 39 cm, which is 15.4 inches, and 3 to 6 inches thick. This matters more than it sounds: firewood in the United States is normally sold cut to 16 inches, which will not fit this firebox. Either specify a shorter cut when you order your wood or plan to cut it down yourself. Burn dry, untreated split wood only. Never burn painted or pressure-treated timber, chipboard, plastic or accelerants in a sauna stove.
Is the Cilindro 20 listed for use in the United States?
Harvia publishes CE and EAC marks for this stove and does not publish a North American listing for it. CE is a European conformity marking, not a US or Canadian listing. Depending on where you live that can affect permitting, inspection and what your home insurer will accept for a solid-fuel appliance. Check with your local building department and your insurer before ordering, and call us if you want us to check the position for this specific stove.
Can I install it myself?
The stove itself is not hardwired, so there is no electrician involved, but the chimney is the part that matters and in most jurisdictions a solid-fuel appliance and its flue need a permit and an inspection. Clearances to combustible material are not advisory. The stove also needs a floor that can carry 130.1 lbs plus stone, and floor protection unless it stands on concrete at least 60 mm (2.4 in) thick. Talk to your building department before you buy, not after.
What warranty comes with this stove?
Harvia covers this stove for 2 years in residential family use under the Limited Warranty for Harvia Products dated 18 November 2025. In commercial or other non-consumer use the period is 6 months. The registration extension applies to electric heaters only, so it does not extend a wood stove. Cover runs from your date of purchase, so keep your receipt. Harvia also requires that the stove is installed to its manual and to local code, and that the chimney work is done properly, so keep your installer's paperwork with your receipt. Transport or storage damage is separate and must be reported no later than seven days after delivery. Harvia US Inc. is the warrantor and handles claims directly, and we open the claim on your behalf. Full terms are on our Harvia warranty policy page.
