How does delivery work?

Free shipping to the contiguous 48. On every SunRay sauna, by freight from Richmond, Virginia. The estimate on each product page is in business days.

Freight to the curb. A kit of panels or barrel staves, in cartons on a pallet. The freight company calls to book a window, someone signs, and residential deliveries come on a lift gate truck. Plan for two or more people.

Hard to reach addresses. If a truck cannot reach you, a smaller vehicle may cost extra, and we tell you before the delivery is booked.

When it ships. In-stock saunas usually leave SunRay's warehouse within 1 to 2 business days of SunRay receiving the order, and you get a tracking email when it leaves.

If it arrives damaged. Note it on the delivery receipt before signing and photograph it. Refuse a punctured or crushed pallet and call us while the driver is there; for minor damage, call before the driver leaves. Report anything found after unpacking within 48 hours.

Where we ship. The contiguous 48 states. We do not ship SunRay to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico.

Not included: the electrical work and the assembly. A licensed electrician hardwires the Harvia heater on a traditional sauna to 240 V. Professional setup and assembly is available on the indoor saunas, and by quote on the others.

What does the warranty cover?

Structure: 10 years. The wooden panels, floor, ceiling and glass, from the original date of purchase, for the parts needed to repair a defect. If a structural defect cannot be fixed with a part, SunRay may send a replacement sauna; assembling it is then your cost.

Parts and electronics: 1 year. Every other part, including the heater and the electrical components. Parts replacement only: labor for fitting a part is not covered.

Not covered. Alteration, neglect, misuse, freight damage caused by the carrier, accidents and acts of God. Surface cracks and minor blemishes in the wood are natural, not defects. Report delivery damage within 48 hours, before assembly.

Two conditions decide most claims. Residential use only, because a commercial setting voids the warranty. And installed, run and maintained to the instructions: indoor saunas stay indoors, and an outdoor sauna without a weather cover needs its exterior resealed every year.

Who is covered. The original customer at the original delivery address. The warranty cannot be transferred.

Ask before a repair. Get SunRay's written consent before any repair you expect to be reimbursed. SunRay decides the cause of a fault and whether to repair or replace.

Who handles it. We are a factory-authorized SunRay dealer and file the claim for you. Call us with your order number, the model and photographs.

What if I need to return it?

20 days from the ship date. New, unassembled and resalable; the ship date is in your tracking email. We handle the return, so you do not contact SunRay.

Unassembled means returnable. In its original packaging and crate with the manuals and accessories. A sauna that has been assembled, wired in or heated cannot go back.

What a return costs. A restocking fee of 20% of the purchase price may apply on a change-of-mind return. There is none on a documented freight damage claim.

Who pays the return freight. You do on a change of mind. We cover it when the cause is shipping damage or our error.

Original shipping. We never deduct the original shipping from your refund.

Damaged on arrival. A different and faster process. Note it before signing and photograph it. Refuse a punctured or crushed pallet and call us while the driver is there. Report anything found after unpacking within 48 hours.

Cancelling before it ships. No fee before we place the order with SunRay. After that an administrative fee of up to 5% may apply, and we waive it whenever we are not charged. If we miss our own ship date, you cancel with no fee.

To start a return. Call us for a Return Authorization number before anything ships back. Refunds go to the original payment method within 7 business days of the return being received and inspected.

The short answer

The SunRay Rockledge is a 2 person indoor traditional sauna with a stone wall, color light and sound

The Rockledge is the compact cabin in SunRay's LX line. It takes the same 59 by 42 inch patch of floor as a plain two seat cabin and adds the finish that defines the line: a cultured stone back wall, color-changing LED lights in the ceiling, a Bluetooth sound system and a 4.5 kW Harvia electric heater with stones under digital control.

It suits a couple who want stones and steam in a spare room or a basement corner, and who care how the inside looks with the lights down. See every indoor sauna we carry.

The heat

Stones and steam

A Harvia heater under a heap of stones. Ladle water over them for soft steam, up to 170 F, the maximum SunRay states.

Who it fits

Two adults

Inside is 54 inches wide and 38 deep, room for two side by side against the backrest.

The step up

Stone, light, sound

A cultured stone back wall, color LEDs overhead and Bluetooth sound from your phone.

Fit

SunRay Rockledge dimensions: a two person sauna in 59 by 42 inches

Plan the floor around 59 by 42 inches and the ceiling around 79. Those two numbers decide whether this cabin goes in.

Outside the Rockledge
Exterior 59 W x 42 D x 75 H in
Floor area About 17.2 sq ft
Ceiling to plan for 79 in, the cabin plus 3 to 4 in
Inside the Rockledge
Interior 54 W x 38 D x 69 H in
Seats Two adults, side by side
Backrest Ergonomic, on the bench
Looking down on the bench, headrest and bucket inside the SunRay Rockledge, heater in the foreground
Looking down on the Rockledge bench, with its headrest and the wooden bucket, and the heater guard in the foreground.

The same footprint as a plain two seat cabin

The Rockledge sits on exactly the floor area of SunRay's Baldwin, 59 by 42 by 75 inches. What changes is what fills that box: stone on the back wall, a 4.5 kW heater against the Baldwin's 3.5 kW, and the light and sound. Inside it gives up about an inch each way. A corner already measured for a two person cabin takes the Rockledge as well.

The ceiling figure comes from SunRay's guidance to leave air above an indoor cabin for the electrical parts on its roof. An 8 foot room clears 79 inches easily; a low beam across a basement corner may not.

The heat

The SunRay Rockledge heater: 4.5 kW of Harvia electric heat with stones

A 4.5 kW Harvia electric heater sits in a wooden stove frame beside the bench, filled with stones and set from a digital keypad.

Heat you can turn into steam

The heater warms the air and the stones, and the stones are what you pour onto. Ladle a little water over them once they are hot for a burst of steam, or leave them dry. SunRay's advice is to drizzle a small amount at a time, because flooding the stones can damage the heater.

Temperature and warm-up

SunRay's earlier product pages give 170 F as the maximum operating temperature of its indoor traditional saunas, with 160 to 170 F as the normal range. Its Harvia heater sheet sets the warm-up at 45 to 60 minutes to a usable temperature, and a cold basement sits at the long end.

The control panel

SunRay lists the heater with digital control, and its Rockledge data sheet describes a digital keypad that sets the temperature, the time, the lights and the heater intensity. A ceiling vent lets moisture out after a steam round and takes the heat down without opening the door. To see a 4.5 kW unit on its own, browse our electric sauna heaters.

Construction

How the SunRay Rockledge luxury indoor sauna is built

The LX cabins are defined by their finish, and on the Rockledge all of it fits inside 59 by 42 inches.

The cultured stone back wall

The wall you face from the door is cultured stone, which SunRay lists in a slate color. It changes the look of the room more than anything else in the specification, and it is the first thing you see through the glass.

Light and sound

Color-changing LED lights are set into the ceiling, with seven colors to step through from the keypad. A Bluetooth sound system plays from your phone: pair it with the device the LX manual calls "audio", then play, pause, skip and set the volume from the music button.

Glass, handle and air

The front is tempered glass with a stainless steel handle, and SunRay lists a ventilation system. The glass keeps a two seat room from feeling closed in, and shows off the stone wall from outside.

Caring for the wood

The cabin is hemlock, per SunRay's Rockledge data sheet. SunRay's warranty asks for the interior wood to be cleaned only with a water soluble cleaner suited to unfinished wood, nothing harsh. Wipe the bench after each session and leave the door open a while so the room dries out.

Before you order

Five checks before the SunRay Rockledge sauna ships to you

Each one is quick with a tape measure now, and far harder once the packages are in the driveway.

  • The floorA level, dry indoor floor of at least 59 by 42 inches. The LX manual wants the cabin indoors in a dry area, with a floor separator if the floor is ever damp
  • The ceilingAt least 79 inches, the 75 inch cabin plus SunRay's 3 to 4 inches of air above it
  • A 240 V circuitThe heater runs on 240 V, on a dedicated circuit, hard-wired by a licensed electrician. Its cable leaves the cabin through a pre-drilled hole, so show the electrician where the sauna will stand
  • Two adultsSunRay's LX manual asks for at least two adults to put the cabin up
  • The route inThe cabin travels as flat panels in boxes. Walk the path from the curb to the room and note any tight turn or stair
The Rockledge is an indoor sauna. SunRay's indoor cabins have no weather roof, and SunRay's warranty requires indoor saunas to stay indoors.

Running cost

What a SunRay Rockledge sauna session costs in electricity

Two inputs: the 4.5 kW heater, and 18.34 cents per kilowatt hour, the US average residential rate in the EIA Electric Power Monthly for June 2026. Your own rate is on your bill.

Sixty minutes at full power

$0.83

4.5 kilowatt hours, times 18.34 cents.

A typical evening

$1.24

Up to an hour of warm-up and a half hour session: 1.5 hours, 6.75 kilowatt hours.

A year of evenings

$193

Three evenings a week for 52 weeks: 156 evenings, 1,053 kilowatt hours.

These are ceilings: a traditional heater cycles once the room reaches its set temperature, so after the warm-up it is not drawing its full 4.5 kW. Redo it at your own rate: kilowatts, times hours, times price.

What you get

Assembly

Assembling the SunRay Rockledge two person sauna

SunRay's LX manual asks for at least two adults and builds the cabin from the back wall forward.

Two people stand the back wall upright on a solid surface, then the right and left walls join it on inner buckles. The floor slides in between the panels, the glass front goes on with the same buckles, and the roof is set on top and secured to the front, rear and side panels from inside. The door handles follow, the wooden one on the inside.

Next comes the heater: assemble the wooden stove frame, set the Harvia in it and pull its cable through the pre-drilled hole in the cabin. The bench screws in, the hygrometer and sand timer go on a side wall where you like, and the dome light fits upright in the left or right side panel under its wooden cover. Last, the roof plugs are joined to their pairs.

The heater's connection to the 240 V supply is the electrician's job, not part of the build.

Delivery day

SunRay Rockledge sauna delivery: free freight to the curb

Shipping is free to the lower 48 by freight, delivered to the curb from a lift gate truck. The estimate in the buy box is in business days, and the freight company calls to book a delivery window.

Before delivery

Line up a second adult for the build and clear a dry spot near the door for the packages. Someone has to be home to sign.

At the curb

Look over every package and the pallet before you sign. Photograph any crushed corner or tear and write it on the delivery receipt.

Before you build

Open the packages and check the glass and the stone wall panels while the packaging is still there.

Returns run 20 days from the date the Rockledge ships, for a cabin that has not been assembled. On a change of mind you pay the return freight and a 20% restocking fee may apply; we never deduct the original shipping. The rest is on the SunRay return policy.

Damage belongs on the delivery receipt before the driver leaves. If something is clearly broken, call us at (888) 500-5675 from the curb and we decide together whether to accept it. Freight damage is a carrier claim, not a warranty matter, so the note on the receipt is what protects you. Full terms: the SunRay shipping policy.

Warranty

SunRay Rockledge sauna warranty: 10 years on the structure, 1 year on the heater

One SunRay certificate covers the Rockledge, and SunRay confirmed to us that it is the one that applies.

From the SunRay Saunas Warranty Certificate
Structure, 10 years Wooden sauna panels, flooring, ceiling and glass, for the parts needed to repair a defect
Parts, 1 year All sauna parts, including the heater and electrical components; parts replacement only, labor is not covered
Use Residential only; commercial use voids it. Indoor saunas must stay indoors
Who The original customer at the original delivery address; not transferable
Not defects Surface cracks and small blemishes in the wood

SunRay must consent in writing before any repair you expect to be paid back for, and it decides the cause of a fault. A replacement sauna, if SunRay sends one, is the owner's to assemble. Freight damage, alteration, misuse and installation that ignores the manual are excluded. Every term is on the SunRay warranty policy page, and we send the certificate on request.

Buyer questions

SunRay Rockledge 2 person indoor sauna: questions before you order

What are the SunRay Rockledge dimensions?

Outside, 59 inches wide, 42 deep and 75 tall; inside, 54 by 38 by 69 inches. SunRay asks for 3 to 4 inches of open space above an indoor cabin, so plan a ceiling of at least 79 inches. Its shipping weight is 720 pounds.

What electrical supply does the SunRay Rockledge need?

Its 4.5 kW Harvia heater runs on 240 V, on a dedicated circuit, hard-wired by a licensed electrician; it does not plug into a wall outlet. The electrician sizes the circuit to the heater's own manual and the National Electrical Code.

How long does the SunRay Rockledge take to heat up?

SunRay's Harvia heater sheet says to expect a usable temperature in 45 to 60 minutes; a cold room takes the longer end. It reaches up to 170 F, SunRay's stated maximum.

Can I make steam in the SunRay Rockledge?

Yes. Once the stones on the Harvia heater are hot, ladle a little water over them. SunRay asks for small amounts at a time, since flooding the stones can damage the heater. The wooden bucket and ladle are included.

What wood is the SunRay Rockledge made of?

Hemlock, per SunRay's Rockledge data sheet. The back wall you face is cultured stone in a slate color.

Does the SunRay Rockledge have Bluetooth and lighting?

Yes: a Bluetooth sound system run from the keypad's music button, and color-changing LED lights in the ceiling with seven colors. It is Bluetooth audio only, with no app or remote control of the heater.

What is the warranty on the SunRay Rockledge?

SunRay's certificate gives 10 years on the wooden panels, floor, ceiling and glass, and 1 year on the heater and electrical parts, parts only. It covers residential use by the original owner at the original address, with the sauna kept indoors.

How is the SunRay Rockledge delivered?

By free freight to the lower 48, to the curb from a lift gate truck. The freight company calls to book a window, someone must sign, and visible damage goes on the receipt before the driver leaves. Delivery ends at the curb, so carrying the packages in is up to you.
