How does delivery work?
How does delivery work?
Free shipping to the contiguous 48 states on every Saunum heater, AirSolo and AirIQ control, and on any order above our free shipping threshold. A smaller accessory ordered below the threshold carries a flat charge, shown at checkout before you pay.
Ships from Wheeling, Illinois. We do not ship Saunum to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico.
Heaters come by freight. The Air, Air L and Air Perfect ship palletized. The carrier calls to book a window, someone has to sign, and the delivery is curbside rather than inside, so plan for two people to carry it in.
Smaller items come by parcel. The AirSolo, the AirIQ control, stones and safety rails travel by ground parcel with no appointment, and they can arrive on a different day from the heater.
Stones ship in their own boxes. 33 pounds each: 4 boxes for an Air or Air Perfect, 6 for an Air L. Stones added from a Saunum heater's page ship free with that heater.
When it ships. The estimate on each product page is the distributor's usual dispatch time for stocked items. We confirm stock with the distributor when you order, and if your model is out of stock we tell you the new date before anything ships. Working to a deadline? Ask us first.
If it arrives damaged. Note it on the delivery paperwork, photograph the carton and the contents, and report it within 48 hours of delivery, before the heater is installed. Saunum's warranty excludes transport damage. Refuse a punctured or crushed pallet and call us while the driver is there.
Not included: the electrical work. A certified electrician hardwires the heater to 240 V through the AirIQ control unit, and the AirSolo to 120 V.
What does the warranty cover?
What does the warranty cover?
Heaters: 2 years in a private sauna. The Air, Air L and Air Perfect, from your purchase date. The manual that ships with the heater gives no commercial term, so ask us before buying for a gym, spa or rental.
AutoLeil. 2 years in a private sauna, labor excluded.
AirSolo and AirIQ. 2 years in a home sauna and 1 year in a commercial or public one. The AirSolo cover includes labor and spare parts. The AirIQ cover is parts, for the first installation and the original purchaser.
Excluded on the heaters. Labor, the heating elements and the salt spheres, plus wear, transport damage, misuse, improper installation, repairs outside Saunum's repair partners, and stones or salt spheres Saunum does not recommend.
Two conditions decide every claim. A completed installation report goes in with the claim, and the product must have been connected by a qualified electrician. The report form is in the back of the manual, so keep a copy.
Delivery damage. Report it within 48 hours of delivery, with photographs and before installing, because transport damage is not a warranty matter.
Who handles it. Claims go to Saunum's US technical support at Bathing Brands, and we take them there for you. Call (888) 500-5675 with your order number, model, serial number and photographs.
What if I need to return it?
What if I need to return it?
30 days from purchase. On a Saunum heater, AirSolo, AirIQ control or accessory that is new, uninstalled and resalable, in the original packaging with all parts. We handle the return, so you do not contact Saunum or the distributor.
Installed means final. A heater that has been wired in, switched on or loaded with stones cannot go back, and neither can an AirIQ or AirSolo that has been wired in, or an accessory that has been fitted.
What it costs. Full credit for the product, less a repackaging fee of 20 to 50 dollars depending on the item. There is no percentage restocking fee on a standard return.
Who pays the freight. You do on a change of mind. We cover it when the cause is shipping damage or our error. We never deduct the cost of free shipping from your refund, but shipping you paid at checkout is not refunded on a change of mind return.
Damaged on arrival. Note it on the delivery receipt before signing, photograph it, and report it within 48 hours of delivery, before the product is installed.
Stones. Not returnable once a box is opened, since stone is sold by weight.
Cancelling before it ships. No fee before we send the order to the distributor. After that an administrative fee of up to 5 percent may apply, and we waive it when we are not charged ourselves.
To start a return. Call (888) 500-5675 for a Return Authorization number before anything ships back. Refunds go to the original payment method within 7 business days of the return being received and inspected.

The short answer
The Saunum Air Perfect 7 is a 7 kW sauna heater in a 45.7 inch body, for rooms of 210 to 350 cubic feet
A floor-standing electric heater 45.7 inches tall, with a fan in its base that pulls warm air down through two side flues and blows it out low, beneath the benches.
The Air Perfect 7 is for a home sauna that wants Saunum's air mixing in a compact body, with no flue climbing to the ceiling. It runs on the Saunum AirIQ control, which we add in the buy box: Saunum's US distributor lists it as required for the Air Perfect. If your heater arrives with its own AirIQ panel, we refund the control. Our sauna heater financing can spread the cost. Every model sits in our Saunum sauna heaters collection.
The room
210 to 350 cu ft
Saunum's rating at 240 volts, measured after the glass and tile adjustment.
At the bench
Warm air, sent low
The fan draws air in at the top of the side flues and out below the bench.
What sets it apart
No flue to the ceiling
A 45.7 inch body with side flues that can sit partly recessed into a floor or bench.
Room size
Is your sauna room the right size for the Saunum Air Perfect 7?
Heaters are sized on volume, not floor area. Multiply length by width by height in feet, then make the adjustments Saunum's Air Perfect manual (version 26_1.1, January 2026) lists for the way the room is built.
| Rated room | 210 to 350 cu ft (6 to 10 m³) |
|---|---|
| Lowest ceiling | 77 in (1960 mm) |
| Top of stones to ceiling | At least 31.5 in (800 mm) |
| Glass, tile, brick, concrete, stone | Add 3.0 cu ft for every sq ft |
| Log, plank or stave walls, no inner insulation | Multiply the base volume by 1.5 |

Running the numbers on a sample room
Take an insulated room 6 feet by 5 feet with a 7.5 foot ceiling: 225 cubic feet. Give it a glass door of 12 square feet and the manual's 3.0 cubic feet per square foot adds 36, so the room counts as 261. That sits comfortably inside the 7's range. Build the same room from solid logs with no inner insulation and the multiplier makes it 337.5, plus the door, 373.5: past the top of this heater's rating and into the Air Perfect 10's.
Past 350 cubic feet: the Air Perfect 10
Above 350 adjusted cubic feet, the Saunum Air Perfect 10 is the size, rated for 318 to 565. Saunum's rule for a room that lands between two sizes is to take the larger one, which in the 318 to 350 overlap means the 10. Oversizing has its own cost: the manual says a heater too powerful for the room warms the air fast while the stones stay too cool to make steam.
Both Air Perfect sizes need the 77 inch ceiling. A lower room can still take Saunum's air mixing in the Saunum Air 7, rated from a 73 inch ceiling for rooms up to 318 cubic feet; a larger low room goes to the Air L 10, also rated from 73 inches. Our sauna heater finder runs the arithmetic, and the sauna heater buyers guide explains it.
How the fan works
How the fan inside the Saunum Air Perfect 7 moves heat toward the benches
Hot air rises, so in any sauna the warmest layer collects under the ceiling. The Air Perfect 7 adds a fan that takes warm air from higher up and sends it out low.
The fan sits low in the heater body. When it runs, air enters through the openings at the top of the two side flues, travels down inside the body and leaves through the grille at the bottom front. The manual asks for the top edge of that outlet to sit lower than the underside of the bench, so the moving air goes beneath you rather than at you.
Saunum describes the result as hot air from up high mixed with cooler air from low in the room and sent back out at bench level, with steam spread through the room instead of gathering at the ceiling. Some traditional sauna builders prefer the layers left alone; it is a matter of taste.
Three fan speeds, set on the AirIQ panel
The manual has you leave the fan off while the room warms up, which heats it faster and keeps the bench from getting too hot, then switch it on just before you go in. Turn it off when nobody is inside: left running, it wastes energy and overheats the bench. If the air around the lower part of the heater passes 176 °F, a thermal cutout stops the fan until it cools. A running fan always makes some sound, the manual notes, and a lower speed is quieter.

The salt spheres in the airflow
A set of Himalayan salt spheres comes with the heater and sits in sockets between the outlet grille and the fan. Saunum's manual says using them is optional and does not change how the heater works. Spheres from other makers are not covered by the warranty.
Stones
Loading stones in the Saunum Air Perfect 7: how much, which kind, in what order
The Air Perfect 7 runs on about 110 to 120 pounds of rounded stone, 2 to 4 inches across. The heater ships without stone; our buy box adds four 33 pound boxes of Saunum olivine diabase, enough with a few spare. They ship free by parcel, separately from the heater's freight, so they may arrive on a different day.
| 1. Open it up | Lift the stone basket top grille straight up and take out the padding that protects the elements in transit |
|---|---|
| 2. Stack by hand | Larger stones first, loose enough for air to pass, up to the openings of the air ducts. Leave the 6 to 8 inch space under the grille empty |
| 3. Keep clear | No stones jammed between or around the heating elements, and none poured in |
| 4. Grille back on | Then one or two layers on top, with gaps for air to pass |
| 5. Secure it | Fix the heater to the wall with its safety brackets |

The flues lead to the fan chamber, and the manual forbids starting the fan until a fallen stone is taken out.
Too many, too few
Both are faults. Piling stone over the top grille blocks the air the fan depends on and can overheat the heater, and the flue's upper intake openings must stay uncovered. Stones packed too sparsely leave the elements exposed, which the manual links to overheating and a fire hazard. Restack the load at least once a year and replace broken stones.
Water on the stones
Ladle 6 to 7 fluid ounces of hot water at a time onto the stones, never into the flues. Sauna fragrance goes in the ladle water only, and the manual rules out chlorinated water and seawater.

Running cost
Saunum Air Perfect 7 electricity cost, worked out
Two inputs: the nameplate 6.9 kW, and 18.34 cents per kilowatt hour, the US residential average in the EIA's Electric Power Monthly for June 2026.
One hour at full power
$1.27
6.9 kilowatt hours.
A two hour evening
$2.53
Warm-up plus a session, 13.8 kilowatt hours.
Three evenings a week, a year
$394.82
2,152.8 kilowatt hours over 156 evenings.
These are ceilings. Once the room reaches temperature the thermostat cycles the elements off and on, so a real evening draws less than full power for two hours. Your own rate is on your electricity bill; swap it in for the national figure.

Ordering everything for a new sauna? Our Saunum Air Perfect 7 sauna heater package has the heater, the AirIQ and four boxes of stone, priced as the parts added together.
| Heater | 6.9 kW body with the fan, side flues, stone basket and top grille |
|---|---|
| Temperature sensor | With its cable, for the sauna wall |
| Cables | Connection cables |
| Himalayan salt spheres | One set, for the sockets behind the outlet grille |
| Paperwork | Installation and use manual with the installation report form |

Saunum designs the Air Perfect to run only with its AirIQ system, so the control to pair with it is the Saunum AirIQ Wi-Fi control, the same one the Saunum Air and Air L use, and not another model from our sauna controls. The Air Perfect 7 also sits with our electric sauna heaters and the wider range of sauna heaters; the room itself is among our traditional saunas.
Delivery day
Saunum Air Perfect 7 delivery: free freight to your curb
Freight to the curb is free in the lower 48. The delivery estimate in the buy box is in business days, and someone has to be there to receive the shipment.
Before it arrives
The package weighs 121 pounds; Saunum asks for two people to move it.
At the curb
Inspect the packaging before you sign, and photograph any crushed corner or puncture.
Before it is wired
If it arrives in freezing weather, let it reach room temperature first. Below 23 °F the overheat limiter can trip even on an unused heater.
Note it on the receipt, take photos and call us on (888) 500-5675 before the driver pulls away.

Warranty and certification
Saunum Air Perfect 7 warranty and certification
Two years for a private home sauna, on the terms printed in the Air Perfect manual that ships with the heater.
| Home (private) use | 2 years from the date of purchase, materials and assembly |
|---|---|
| Not covered | Labor, heating elements, salt spheres, normal wear, transport damage, improper installation or ventilation |
| Commercial use | None in the manual that ships with the heater; ask us first |
How a claim works
Have your electrician complete the installation report at the back of the manual and keep it: Saunum honors a claim only with that report, and only for a heater connected by a qualified electrician. Claims run through Bathing Brands, Saunum's US distributor, and its Saunum technical support team; we help you start one. The manual that ships with the heater gives no commercial term, so ask us before buying for a gym, spa or rental; we make no promise of commercial cover. Full terms are on our Saunum warranty policy page.
Certification
The Air Perfect 7 is not named on the 2023 UL certificate we hold, which lists the Air 5 and Air 7; Saunum's Air Perfect 7 manual carries the cULus mark under the same file, E525245.
Buyer questions
Saunum Air Perfect 7 buyer questions
Does the Saunum Air Perfect 7 need the separate AirIQ control?
Yes. Saunum's US distributor lists the AirIQ as required for the Air Perfect, and Saunum designs the heater to run only with its AirIQ system, so we add it in the buy box. If your heater arrives with its own AirIQ panel, we refund the control. The panel mounts on a wall outside the sauna room.
How big a sauna can the Saunum Air Perfect 7 heat?
Saunum rates it for 210 to 350 cubic feet: length by width by height in feet, plus 3.0 cubic feet for each square foot of glass, tile, brick, concrete or stone. From 318, where the two ratings overlap, Saunum's take-the-larger rule points to the Air Perfect 10.
How long does the Saunum Air Perfect 7 take to heat the sauna?
Saunum gives 45 to 90 minutes in an insulated, correctly sized room. Keep the fan off during warm-up and switch it on just before going in.
What wiring does the Saunum Air Perfect 7 call for?
A dedicated 240 volt, single phase circuit: the heater draws 28.75 amps and is hardwired. A licensed electrician sizes the breaker and cable to the manual and the National Electrical Code. Saunum's manual says not to connect it through a GFCI breaker.
How much ceiling height does the Saunum Air Perfect 7 need?
At least 77 inches, with at least 31.5 inches between the top of the stones and the ceiling. For a lower room, the Saunum Air 7 (rooms up to 318 cubic feet) and the Air L 10 (from 283) are rated from a 73 inch ceiling.
Can the Saunum Air Perfect 7 be sunk into the floor or a bench?
Yes, partly. The manual sets an installation height of 7 to 31.5 inches, from the bottom of the heater to the floor or bench surface, with the air outlet left clear. In a wooden floor, gap the planks at least a quarter inch.
Does a sauna with the Saunum Air Perfect 7 still need vents?
Yes. The manual makes intake and exhaust mandatory, with fresh air in near the floor by the heater and an exhaust 24 to 47 inches up on the far side, for at least six air changes an hour. The fan stirs the air that is already inside; fresh air still has to come through the intake.
Are stones included with the Saunum Air Perfect 7?
No. It needs about 110 to 120 pounds of rounded stone 2 to 4 inches across. Four 33 pound boxes of Saunum olivine diabase can be added in the buy box; they ship free by parcel and may arrive on a different day from the heater.
How long is the Saunum Air Perfect 7 warranty, and what does it exclude?
Two years for private home use, on defects in materials and assembly. Labor, heating elements and salt spheres are excluded, and a claim needs the completed installation report. Ask and we email the manual's full terms before you buy.
How is the Saunum Air Perfect 7 delivered?
By freight to the curb, free in the lower 48, with a business-day estimate shown before checkout. Someone must be there to receive the 121 pound package and inspect it before signing.
One last thing
