Ships from Wheeling, Illinois. Free to the contiguous 48 above our free shipping threshold. A small accessory can fall below it and then a flat charge applies, shown at checkout before you pay.
How it arrives. The DROP comes by ground parcel, with no appointment and nobody home. CLIFF, STEEL, HIVE and CORE come palletized by freight, including the wall mounted Mini models: the carrier calls to book a window, someone has to sign, and it is a curbside drop rather than inside.
Stone ships in its own boxes. A heater takes 3 to 16 boxes at 33 pounds each. Stone added from a HUUM heater's own page ships free with that heater; ordered on its own it is charged per box at checkout. The quantity is set by the heater, not the room.
When it ships. The estimate on each product page is the distributor's usual dispatch time for stocked items. Stock moves, so we confirm the current position when you order. Working to a deadline? Ask us first.
If it arrives damaged. Note it on the delivery paperwork, photograph the carton and the contents, and tell us the same day. Report damage within 48 hours of delivery, with photographs and before the heater is installed: that is our window, and because it is shorter than HUUM's 7 days it is the one that applies to the HUUM warranty too. Refuse a carton or pallet that is punctured, crushed or structurally damaged.
Where we ship. The contiguous 48 states. We do not ship HUUM to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico.
Not included: the electrical work. A HUUM heater is hardwired by a licensed electrician, and the clearances and cable entry are set by the model, so book the electrician for after the heater arrives.

Private use. 3 years on electric heaters, wood stoves and controls, and 1 year on spare parts, running from your purchase date. Keep the receipt and your electrician's invoice.
Commercial use. 1 year on all of them. HUUM treats it as commercial if a business uses the product commercially, if a private owner uses it commercially, or if a private owner runs it more than 1,500 hours in any 12 months, so a gym, studio or rental is commercial from day one.
What is covered. Defects in materials and workmanship. HUUM decides whether to repair, replace, refund or, with your agreement, reduce the price, and it arranges and pays for any transport it needs. A replaced part does not restart the clock.
Excluded, the ones that matter most. Heating elements, all sensors, sauna stones, accessories, and a wood stove's door glass and ash grate. Also normal wear, damage from poor ventilation or constant damp, power surges and overheating, non-HUUM parts fitted without written approval, and a heater that was the wrong size for the room. Until it is installed it must be kept indoors, dry, ventilated and above freezing.
Two conditions decide most claims. The heater must be installed and connected by a licensed electrician, to HUUM's manual and your local codes, and HUUM can ask for proof. Damage found on delivery must be reported to us within 48 hours and claimed with photographs before the product is installed. Any other fault: report it within 30 days of finding it.
If the fault turns out not to be covered. HUUM's terms let it charge for the work of diagnosing it. We will tell you as soon as HUUM tells us.
Who handles it. HUUM OU in Estonia is the warrantor and we file the claim for you, so you deal with us rather than with Estonia. Call (888) 500-5675 with your order number, the model and its serial number and photographs.

30 days from purchase. New, uninstalled and resalable, in the original packaging with all parts. A heater that has been wired in, fired or loaded with stones counts as installed and cannot go back, and so does a control that has been wired in.
What it costs. Full credit for the product, less a repackaging fee of 20 to 50 dollars depending on the item. There is no percentage restocking fee on a standard return.
Who pays the freight. You do on a change of mind. We cover it when the cause is shipping damage or our error. Shipping you paid at checkout is not refunded on a change of mind return.
Damaged on arrival. A different and faster process. Note it on the delivery receipt before signing, photograph the carton and contents, and call us the same day. Report it within 48 hours of delivery, with photographs and before the product is installed.
Stones and spare parts. Stone is sold by weight and is not returnable once a box is opened. Heating elements, sensors and other spare parts cannot be returned once fitted.
Cancelling before it ships. No fee at all before we send the order to the distributor. After that an administrative fee of up to 5 percent may apply, and we waive it when we are not charged ourselves.
To start a return. Call (888) 500-5675. A Return Authorization number is required before anything ships back. Refunds go to the original payment method within 7 business days of the return being received and inspected.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Two sensors run with a UKU control. The temperature sensor reads the room and carries the overheating protection the control works from. The door sensor is a sensor and a magnet, so the heater is not left running with the door standing open.
Where each one goes
HUUM is specific about the temperature sensor, because a sensor in the wrong place reports the wrong room. It must not sit above the heater. It goes 20 inches out from the heater's outer edge, 6 inches down from the ceiling, and at least 20 inches from any corner, vent, door or window. In a barrel sauna, where the wall curves away and those distances cannot be met, it goes on the ceiling instead, at the highest point and still 20 inches from the heater.
The door sensor goes on the handle side of the door frame, no higher than 16 inches from the floor. Higher than that and the heat starts working on the magnet and on the tape that holds it. Recessed into the frame it wants a 13/64 inch hole. When the door is shut the sensor and magnet sit slightly offset, no more than 13/32 inch apart.
What is in the packet
The door sensor kit is a sensor, a magnet and the double sided tape for the magnet. The temperature sensor is the sensor alone.
Neither comes with a cable. HUUM caps both runs at 32 ft back to the main module, and sells the cable as its own part. If you are replacing a sensor because a cable was damaged, order both.
A heating element is wired inside the heater, so this is a job for the licensed electrician who connected it, not a home repair. HUUM also asks for all of the elements in a heater to be replaced at the same time, because a new element next to worn ones ages quickly.
Questions buyers ask
Which sensor has the overheating cut-out?
The temperature sensor. It reads the room and carries the overheating protection, which is why its position matters as much as it does.
Can I put the temperature sensor above the heater?
No. HUUM's manual rules that out. It goes 20 inches out from the outer edge of the heater, 6 inches below the ceiling, and 20 inches clear of corners, vents, the door and any window.
What about a barrel sauna, where the wall curves?
Then it goes on the ceiling, at the highest point, still 20 inches from the heater. Route the cable behind the boarding, and if any of it runs outside, protect it from sun and weather.
Does a sensor come with a cable?
No. The cable is a separate part and each run is capped at 32 ft.
Is the door sensor required?
It is part of the UKU system and it is what stops the heater running with the door open. Fit it on the handle side of the frame, no higher than 16 inches off the floor.
Can I fit these myself?
The sensor cables land in the main module alongside mains wiring, so the licensed electrician who wired the heater should make the connections.
