HUUM Warranty Policy

HUUM OÜ, of Tartu County, Estonia, warrants every HUUM heater, wood stove and control we sell. We file the claim for you, so you deal with us rather than with Estonia. Cover runs from your purchase date, so keep the receipt and your electrician's invoice.

How long. Private use: 3 years on electric heaters, wood stoves and controls, and 1 year on spare parts. Commercial use: 1 year on all of them. HUUM treats it as commercial use if a business uses the product commercially, if a private owner uses it commercially, or if a private owner runs it more than 1,500 hours in any 12 months, so a gym, studio or rental is commercial from day one.

What is covered. Defects in materials and workmanship. HUUM decides whether to repair, replace, refund or, with your agreement, reduce the price, and it arranges and pays for any transport it needs. A replaced part does not restart the clock.

What is excluded, the ones that matter most. Heating elements, all sensors, sauna stones, accessories, and a wood stove's door glass and ash grate. Also normal wear; damage from poor ventilation or constant damp; rust or discoloration from the wrong location; power surges, overheating and overloading; repairs, modifications or non-HUUM parts fitted without HUUM's written approval; a heater that was the wrong size for the room; and routine cleaning and maintenance, which is the owner's job. Storage counts too: until it is installed, the product has to be kept indoors, dry, ventilated and above freezing. HUUM's document lists eighteen exclusions in total.

Two conditions decide most claims. The heater must be installed and connected by a licensed electrician, to HUUM's manual and your local codes, and HUUM can ask for proof. Damage you can see on delivery must be reported within 7 days of delivery or inside our own window if that is shorter, and claimed with photographs before the product is installed, so call us the same day. Any other fault: report it within 30 days of finding it.

To make a claim, call (888) 500-5675 or email sales@recoveryroomdirect.com with your order number and receipt, the model and its serial or batch number, photographs of the fault, and a note of how the sauna is used. We take it from there. One thing worth knowing before you file: if HUUM finds the fault is not a warranty defect, its terms let it charge for the work of diagnosing it. We will tell you before that happens.
