Shipping & Delivery
Shipping & Delivery
Your order ships free from the manufacturer's California warehouse on a strapped pallet via insured LTL freight. Orders are processed within 2 business days, and delivery to most addresses in the contiguous US takes 5–7 business days after shipment. You'll receive a tracking number by email as soon as your order leaves the warehouse.
Scheduling your delivery. The freight carrier will reach out before the truck rolls — most carriers call 24–48 hours ahead to lock in a four-hour delivery window. Some carriers (including R+L) send an email or text the morning of delivery instead. Respond promptly either way. If the carrier can't reach you and misses 2–3 delivery attempts, terminal storage fees kick in and the item may be returned at your expense.
What to expect at delivery. A 53-foot semi-truck arrives at your curbside. The driver uses the truck's built-in liftgate to lower the pallet to ground level — that's where their responsibility ends. Standard delivery does not include bringing the equipment inside, up stairs, or unpacking. Plan ahead: have help available to move it once it's off the truck. Someone must be present to sign for the delivery.
CRITICAL — inspect before you sign. Walk around the pallet and check every box before signing the Bill of Lading. Note any scratches, dents, or scuff marks directly on the delivery receipt. If you see a large hole, crushed corner, or obvious structural damage, refuse the delivery — we'll ship a replacement at no cost. Signing a clean BOL releases the freight carrier from all liability. A damage claim cannot be filed after a clean signature. This takes two minutes and fully protects you.
Good to know. If your address changes after the order ships, contact us immediately — carrier re-routing fees may apply and will add transit time. If your location cannot comfortably accommodate a 53-foot semi-truck (island, remote road, gated community, narrow access), contact us before ordering so we can arrange an appropriate solution.
Free freight applies to standard residential curbside delivery within the contiguous 48 US states. Hawaii, Alaska, and Canada are not available at standard checkout — contact us before ordering for a freight quote. Transit times are carrier estimates, not guarantees. Applies to all Golden Designs Inc. brands: Dynamic Saunas, Maxxus Saunas, and Dynamic Cold Therapy. View our full Shipping & Delivery policy →
Return Policy
Return Policy
We stand behind every product we sell. If it's not the right fit, you have 30 days from delivery to return it — and if you need to cancel before it ships, you can do that within 24 hours of purchase at no charge.
How to start a return. Email us your order number at sales@recoveryroomdirect.com and we'll issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number within one business day. Write that number clearly on the outside of every box before handing it to the carrier — the warehouse will not accept returns without it.
Condition required. The item must come back new, unused, and in its original packaging with all components, hardware, and accessories included. Items that have been assembled, used, or modified cannot be returned. Electronic components — power supplies, control panels, and accessories — are non-returnable under manufacturer policy regardless of condition.
What it costs to return. We want to be upfront about this: returning large freight equipment has real costs. The manufacturer charges a 20% restocking fee on all returns, and you are responsible for the return freight. If your original order shipped free, the actual outbound freight cost is also deducted from your refund. Any storage or carrier routing fees incurred during the return process are the buyer's responsibility as well. Once the item arrives at the warehouse and passes inspection, your refund is issued within 5 business days to your original payment method.
Damaged on arrival? That's a different process entirely — and you're fully protected. If you refused the delivery and documented the damage on the Bill of Lading, we handle the freight claim and ship you a replacement at no cost. No restocking fee, no return shipping. This is exactly why we ask you to inspect carefully before you sign.
The manufacturer warranty covers defects that arise after the 30-day return window. See full warranty terms at goldendesigninc.com. Questions about your order? Call us at 1-888-500-5675 or email sales@recoveryroomdirect.com — Mon–Sat, 9am–6pm EST. Applies to all Golden Designs Inc. brands: Dynamic Saunas, Maxxus Saunas, and Dynamic Cold Therapy. The 6-Person Infrared Sauna Worth Owning at This Price — Built for Daily Use
15 PureTech carbon far-infrared panels. 4,225 watts of output. A 15" LCD monitor, Bluetooth, 4 built-in speakers, 9-color chromotherapy, and a dual-tier reclining bench that fits two adults in full recline, side by side. The Monaco Elite is where the 6-person infrared sauna category actually starts — and at $6,499, it is $2,500 below the $8,999 MSRP.
Shop Pay installments, powered by Affirm, available at checkout — spread the investment over time. Free curbside freight delivery included.
What We Think You Should Know Before Buying This Sauna
At $6,499 — $2,500 below MSRP — the Monaco Elite is the largest indoor infrared sauna most buyers will ever seriously consider. We want to make sure you are buying the right one for your space and your goals.
The 6-Person Question
This unit is rated for 6 people. In real-world use, it is supremely comfortable for 2–4. Two adults can stretch out on the dual-tier reclining bench simultaneously. If your plan is nightly solo or couple sessions, this sauna is the right size. If you are picturing a regular group of 6, expect it to feel like a snug spa experience rather than a spacious one.
Electrical — Plan This First
The Monaco Elite requires two separate dedicated 120V/20A non-GFCI circuits. Not one 30-amp circuit — two separate 20-amp breakers. Most homes with a 200-amp panel can handle this without a panel upgrade. Budget $150–$400 for an electrician visit and schedule it before delivery day. This is the #1 thing owners wish they had done earlier.
Assembly Reality
Plan for 2–3 adults and 2–3 hours. The clasp-together panel system is manageable. The front glass panel is the exception — it is heavy and the T-slot alignment requires patience and a second set of hands. One setup session; years of daily use.
15 Carbon Panels, Zero Dead Zones — How the Monaco Actually Heats
Far infrared heats differently from traditional saunas. The wavelength — between 5.6 and 1,000 microns — penetrates body tissue 2–3 inches rather than just heating the air. The Monaco operates effectively at 118–132°F (maximum 140°F), compared to 190°F+ for traditional Finnish saunas. Lower air temperature, deeper penetration, longer sessions.
How 4,225W is Distributed
The 15 PureTech carbon panels are positioned to minimize cold spots. Four panels cover the rear wall (1,200W — the primary heat source). Three panels per side wall add 900W each. Two bench-level panels deliver 325W directly behind and below the seat. Three floor panels contribute 900W of radiant heat from underneath. Sitting in the Monaco Elite, you are surrounded on five sides by active infrared.
Ultra Low EMF at the Panel Surface
The “Elite” designation on this model specifically indicates the PureTech Ultra Low EMF carbon panel tier. Measured at 2–3 inches from the panel surface, EMF reads under 3 milligauss — the standard the manufacturer publishes and what independent testers using calibrated meters have confirmed for this panel generation. EMF sensitivity varies by individual; if this is a primary concern, call us at (888) 500-5675 for an honest conversation about what the data actually shows.
Built Around the Session, Not the Spec Sheet
Three features that distinguish the Monaco Elite from smaller infrared units in daily use.
Carbon panels emit FAR infrared uniformly across a large surface area — unlike ceramic rod heaters, which create hot spots near the element and cooler zones further away. The 13 primary panels run at 300W each; the 2 bench-level panels at 162.5W each. The result is consistent radiant heat across your back, sides, and from below — no dead zones.
The upper bench is wide enough for two adults side-by-side in full recline. The lower bench provides foot and calf placement during seated sessions or seating for additional users. Bench tops are reversible — flip them to adjust the recline angle. The 68” × 57” interior gives each person genuine space, not the claustrophobic clearance most 6-person ratings imply.
The full-width bronze-tinted tempered glass front panel is what makes the Monaco Elite visually distinct from standard wood-box saunas. Interior chromotherapy light plays through the glass from outside the room. The center door opens with a stainless steel bar handle on both sides. Aesthetically, this is as close to a commercial spa installation as a home sauna gets.
The Sauna You Actually Stay In
Most sauna owners report the same thing: the sessions that actually happen are the ones that are comfortable. The Monaco Elite is built around making 35–45 minutes inside something you look forward to, not endure.
9-Color Chromotherapy + Red Light Therapy
The remote-controlled chromotherapy system cycles through 9 distinct colors with full brightness control. A dedicated Red Light Therapy mode (in the 620–660nm range) operates independently. Use it as ambient lighting, use specific colors intentionally, or run your sessions under pure red light. Research on chromotherapy is exploratory; the experience of a deep red interior during a 40-minute sweat session is not.
Entertainment Suite: 15” LCD, Bluetooth, 4 Speakers
The ceiling-mounted 15” LCD monitor flips down for session use and folds up when not in use. The FM/CD/DVD player handles physical media. Bluetooth connects your phone wirelessly. Four ceiling speakers fill the interior at low volume — useful for sessions where ambient audio matters. This is the setup that turns a 25-minute session into 45 minutes without noticing.
Dual LED Control Panels
One digital control panel per interior side wall. Adjust time, temperature, and lighting without reaching across the interior. The default startup: 90 minutes / 60°C (140°F maximum). Adjust to your protocol temperature and let the sauna do its work.
The Sensory Environment in Detail
Three features that make the Monaco Elite more than a box with heaters.
Yellow, green, magenta, white, blue, orange-red, purple, orange, and cyan — all adjustable via the included remote. Red Light Therapy mode operates as a separate setting in the 620–660nm wavelength range. Both the chromotherapy and red light functions are controlled independently from temperature and audio systems.
The built-in FM/CD/DVD system includes an AUX input (3.5mm, max 175mV) and Bluetooth connectivity. Four ceiling-mounted speakers distribute audio through the interior. The 15” flip-down LCD monitor supports DVD playback and, with an external streaming device like a Firestick, streaming content. Sessions go longer when there is something worth watching.
The interior is 72” tall (6’), 68” wide, and 57” deep. Most adults under 6’2” sit comfortably on the upper bench without ducking. The glass front door opens outward — factor that swing into your room layout. The exterior footprint is 73” wide × 67” deep (including the 6” roof overhang) — roughly the footprint of a large walk-in closet.
Three Ways to Use It — Morning, Post-Workout, Evening
The Monaco Elite is designed for daily use. Here are the three most consistently reported protocols from regular infrared sauna users.
20–30 minutes before your workday starts. Research on heat exposure suggests it may support cortisol regulation and core temperature priming — helping the body transition from rest physiology to active physiology. At 118–122°F, the Monaco runs warm enough to sweat without being overwhelming first thing in the morning. Preheat starts while you make coffee.
Target: 118–122°F. Duration: 20–30 min. Start the preheat 30–45 min before your session time.
The 15–60 minute window after intense training. Research suggests heat therapy during this window may support blood flow to muscles experiencing micro-tears, systemic inflammation, and neural fatigue after heavy sessions. The reclining bench position allows spinal decompression during the session. If hypertrophy is your goal, wait at least 30 minutes post-lift before entering the sauna — the acute inflammatory response plays a role in muscle adaptation.
Target: 120–130°F. Duration: 25–40 min. Hydrate before and keep water inside.
90 minutes before sleep. Research on thermoregulation and sleep architecture suggests the core body temperature drop that follows a heat session may support sleep onset and deeper sleep stages. A 20–30 minute session at 118–125°F, followed by a cool shower and the remaining cool-down period before bed, is the most commonly reported protocol among nightly sauna users. This is often the session that turns ownership from a purchase into a ritual.
Target: 118–125°F. Duration: 20–30 min. Chromotherapy blue or green mode for wind-down ambiance.
Who the Monaco Elite Is Built For
Three buyer profiles where this sauna makes the most sense.
Training twice a day, sleeping 7 hours, trying to find 45 minutes between sessions that actually helps. The Monaco eliminates the commute to a commercial sauna and makes post-workout infrared a permanent part of the protocol. At $6,499, it pays for itself against $40–$60 commercial sessions in under 5 months of daily use.
You are investing in a space where the people you live with come to decompress — together. The 6-person capacity, entertainment system, and dual-tier bench make this a room, not a unit. Sunday evening sessions become the ritual the whole household looks forward to. Two people can watch a film lying back on the upper bench and genuinely not feel cramped.
6-person capacity, 30–45 minute sessions, a built-in screen for guided content — the Monaco Elite is one of the few home-grade units that scales into light commercial use. At $50/session for a group of 4, a single daily session covers the sauna cost in under a year. Call (888) 500-5675 to discuss commercial delivery and setup logistics.
What $6,499 Actually Costs Per Session
At daily use, this sauna pays for itself faster than most buyers expect.
Monthly electricity cost at typical residential rates: approximately $9–$15/month for daily 40-minute sessions. HSA and FSA funds may be applicable to wellness equipment — check with your plan provider. Shop Pay installments, powered by Affirm, are available at checkout to spread the $6,499 over time.

Shipping & Delivery
The Monaco Elite requires two separate dedicated 120V/20A non-GFCI circuits — two separate breakers on your electrical panel. Most homes with a 200-amp panel can accommodate this without an upgrade. Hire a licensed electrician before your sauna arrives. Typical cost: $150–$400 depending on your panel location and the run length. Do not use extension cords or GFCI outlets — both void the warranty and create fire risks.
Ships on a pallet via freight carrier (~835–950 lbs, 5 boxes). Curbside delivery is included at no charge — the carrier places the pallet at your driveway or curb. Estimated transit: 5–10 business days after dispatch. You will receive tracking when the order ships.
The 5 shipping boxes must travel from your driveway to the installation room. Measure hallways, doorways, and any corners on the route. The front glass panel is the largest single piece and requires two people to carry. Plan this route before the truck arrives.
Threshold or inside placement is available as a paid White Glove upgrade. Call (888) 500-5675 before placing your order to discuss White Glove options for your specific delivery address.
Indoor installation only — outdoor placement voids the warranty immediately. The sauna can be placed on carpet or any dry, level indoor floor. Assembled weight is 750 lbs — standard residential flooring handles this without reinforcement. Plan for 2–3 adults and 2–3 hours for assembly.
6-Person Infrared Sauna — Questions Before You Buy
What electrical setup does the Monaco Elite require?
The Monaco Elite requires two separate dedicated 120V/20A non-GFCI circuits — meaning two separate 20-amp breakers on your electrical panel. It does not work on a single 30-amp circuit or a 20-amp GFCI outlet. Do not use extension cords. Most homes with a 200-amp service panel can add two 20-amp circuits without a panel upgrade. Contact a licensed electrician before your delivery date — typical cost is $150–$400 depending on panel access and wire run length.
How many people actually fit comfortably in a 6-person infrared sauna?
The Monaco Elite is rated for 6 persons. In daily use, it is spacious for 2–4. At full 6-person capacity, it feels like a well-designed spa — functional, but close. Two adults can lie back fully on the upper reclining bench simultaneously. If your primary use case is solo or couple sessions, this sauna gives you genuine room to move. If you regularly want 5–6 people inside for extended sessions, expect a cozy environment.
How long does the Monaco Elite take to assemble and how many people do I need?
Plan for 2–3 adults and 2–3 hours. The clasp-together panel system works without power tools for the main panels. A Phillips screwdriver and a ladder are required for wiring the roof panel and installing the audio and monitor components. The front glass panel is the most challenging step — it is heavy and the T-slot alignment takes patience. Transport screws must be removed from the DVD unit before first use (clearly marked in the manual). Allow one full assembly session and do not rush it.
How long does the Monaco Elite take to heat up to operating temperature?
Approximately 30–45 minutes to reach 120°F from a cold start. In a warm indoor environment, the low end of that range is typical. In a cold garage or basement in winter, allow the full 45 minutes. The default control panel setting is 90 minutes at 60°C (140°F maximum) — adjust the temperature target to your protocol and let the preheat run before you enter.
What does Ultra Low EMF mean and how safe is it?
The “Elite” designation on this model indicates the PureTech Ultra Low EMF carbon panel tier. Golden Designs publishes an EMF rating of under 3 milligauss (mG) measured at 2–3 inches from the panel surface. Independent testing with calibrated meters has confirmed readings consistent with this figure for the Elite-tier panels. For context, common household appliances (refrigerators, hairdryers, electric blankets) typically read 2–20 mG at normal operating distance. EMF sensitivity and individual risk tolerance vary — if this is a primary concern for you, call us at (888) 500-5675 and we will walk through the data honestly.
What is the difference between FAR infrared and full-spectrum infrared?
FAR infrared (the wavelength used in the Monaco Elite) falls in the longer-wavelength range of the infrared spectrum. It penetrates body tissue 2–3 inches and is the most extensively researched wavelength for heat therapy and relaxation protocols. Full-spectrum infrared (used in the Golden Designs Reserve Edition 6-Person at $7,499) adds near-infrared and mid-infrared wavelengths. Near-infrared operates at shorter wavelengths and is associated with skin-level photobiomodulation rather than deep-tissue heat. Whether the additional wavelengths provide meaningfully different benefits depends on your specific goals. For most heat therapy and recovery applications, FAR infrared is the primary driver. For questions about which is right for your use case, call (888) 500-5675.
Can the Monaco Elite be used as part of a daily recovery or wellness protocol?
Yes — this is how the majority of owners use it. The Monaco Elite is a wellness device, not a medical device, and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. Many buyers use it alongside — not instead of — clinical care during recovery phases. If you are under the care of a physician or physical therapist, discuss how infrared heat therapy fits your protocol before starting. Certain cardiovascular conditions, pregnancy, and acute inflammatory injuries may be contraindicated. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before beginning any heat therapy protocol.
What is the warranty on the Monaco Elite?
5 years on heating elements and electronics. 1 year on the wood structure. 1 year on the radio unit. The warranty covers parts only — labor is not included. It applies to the original purchaser at the original installation address. Outdoor installation voids the warranty immediately. Surface cracks in the wood are considered normal characteristics of all wood species and are not covered as defects. Register your warranty card with Golden Designs within 60 days of purchase. For warranty claims, contact Recovery Room Direct at (888) 500-5675 or the manufacturer directly.
