Shipping & Delivery

Your LeisureCraft sauna, plunge tub, hot tub or outdoor shower is handcrafted to order in Melancthon, Ontario and ships by insured LTL freight. Freight and all cross-border charges are included in the price — no separate shipping cost, no customs bill at the door.

Build time, not ship time. Every unit is made to order, so each product page shows an estimated build date rather than a delivery date. Transit is additional, and build dates move with production volume — peak season runs February through May. We confirm your date in writing once your order is placed.

What the carrier does. The freight company calls to schedule an appointment and delivers to the end of your driveway or the curb, usually on an 18-wheel truck. The driver will not unload your crate and will not back into your driveway. Check that a truck that size can reach your property before you order.

CRITICAL — you are responsible for unloading. Crates run 6 to 14 feet long and 800 to 1,600 pounds depending on the model, with the largest builds heavier still. If your crate is 84 inches or shorter, the carrier may have a liftgate to help lower it. Longer than that there is no liftgate, which covers most of the barrel and cabin range. You will need a forklift with extensions (crates lift from the end), a trailer to collect from the terminal, or a crew on hand. We can arrange a tilt-tow truck for $1,250 if you would rather not. Plan this before you order and we will work it out with you.

Inspect before you sign. If the crate arrives damaged, accept it, photograph everything before moving it, and write "Crate arrived open/damaged — Possible Hidden Damage" on the Bill of Lading. Then call us within 72 hours. A clean signature releases the carrier and makes a claim nearly impossible to win.

Good to know. Changing your shipping address after the unit leaves the factory costs $350 — free before it ships, so tell us early. If a delivery appointment stalls because calls go unreturned, the terminal charges $35 per day in storage. Both are manufacturer charges passed through at cost. Heaters and accessories ship separately and usually arrive sooner.

Questions before you order? Call or text (888) 500-5675, Mon–Sat 9am–6pm EST. We coordinate every delivery ourselves.

Included freight applies to standard residential curbside delivery in the contiguous 48 states. Alaska, Hawaii and Canada require a quote before ordering. Build and transit times are estimates, not guarantees. Applies to the LeisureCraft Canadian Timber Collection. View our full Shipping & Delivery policy →

Warranty

All products designed and manufactured by Dundalk LeisureCraft — including the Canadian Timber Collection — are covered against defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use for 5 years from the day you receive the product.

What's covered. Replacement of defective parts. Service, labor and installation costs are expressly excluded by the manufacturer, and a replacement part does not extend the original 5-year period.

What's not. Normal wear and tear, improper installation, insufficient maintenance, natural weather conditions, and failure to follow the installation and care instructions.

Heaters, stoves and chillers. These sit on LeisureCraft's separate component schedule, and LeisureCraft honors the component manufacturer's terms directly — same coverage, same duration. Electric heaters carry 3 years (elements and rocks excluded; HUUM also excludes sensors). Wood-burning stoves run 2 years to 5 years, with LeisureCraft's own Timberglow at 5, excluding the glass door, ash grate and rocks; LeisureCraft chimney kits carry 5 years with no exclusions. Chillers carry 1 to 2 years. Component coverage is parts only. We confirm the exact term for your configuration in writing before you order.

Use a licensed electrician. All electrical connections on heaters and chillers must be made by a licensed electrician, or LeisureCraft voids the component warranty. Improper installation is excluded from the 5-year sauna warranty as well.

If you've seen a 3-year figure. Some older listings and in-box manuals still show 3 years for the Canadian Timber Collection. LeisureCraft's current published policy is 5 years, and that's the coverage we confirm in writing with every order.

Residential use, and registration. The 5-year term is written for normal residential use; LeisureCraft publishes no commercial warranty. Buying for a gym, clinic, spa, hotel or rental? Call us first and we'll get the factory's position in writing. We send the manufacturer's registration link with your order confirmation — registering keeps future claims straightforward.

How to make a claim. Contact us — as your authorized dealer we handle the claim with the manufacturer for you. Email sales@recoveryroomdirect.com or call (888) 500-5675 with your order number and photos of the issue.

Return Policy

LeisureCraft Canadian Timber products are handcrafted for your specific order in Melancthon, Ontario. Because each unit is built to order, the manufacturer does not accept returns or exchanges — so please call us before you buy if anything is unclear. We would far rather answer questions first than have you end up with the wrong sauna.

Cancellations. Production is scheduled as soon as your order is placed. Contact us as early as you can at (888) 500-5675 — if your build hasn't started we'll do everything we can to cancel at no cost. If it has, we'll tell you plainly where you stand.

Damaged on arrival? You're covered. Transit damage is handled by replacement, not return. Accept the shipment, photograph the damage before moving anything, and write "Crate arrived open/damaged — Possible Hidden Damage" on the Bill of Lading before signing. Call us within 72 hours and the manufacturer ships replacement wood or components at no charge. Damage reported after a clean signature is very difficult to claim — this step is what protects you.

Five-year residential warranty. Products manufactured by LeisureCraft carry a limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use for five years from the day you receive them. Valid claims are resolved with replacement parts at no charge.

What it doesn't cover. The warranty is parts only — service, labour and installation are expressly excluded, and a replaced part doesn't restart the five years. It excludes normal wear and tear, improper installation, insufficient maintenance, weather damage, and failure to follow the care instructions. Cedar is a natural material: seasonal movement and colour change to silver-grey are normal and are not defects.

Two exceptions worth knowing. The warranty is written for residential use — if you're buying for a gym, clinic, spa or rental property, call us first so we can confirm your coverage in writing. And sauna heaters are not LeisureCraft-made: Harvia, HUUM and Narvi units carry their own manufacturer warranties, and we'll point you to the right terms.

Warranty begins on the date the product is received by the original end-user. Register your warranty with the manufacturer to keep future claims straightforward — we'll send the link with your order confirmation. We're here Mon–Sat, 9am–6pm EST. View our full Return Policy →

Price Match Guarantee

Found it for less at an authorized dealer? We'll match it — before or after you buy.

We're factory-authorized for every brand we carry. If you find this exact model listed at a lower price by another authorized retailer, send us the link and we'll match it before you check out. Already purchased? We'll refund the difference within 30 days of your order date.

To claim: Email us or call with a link or screenshot showing the lower price, the retailer name, and model number. We'll confirm authorization status and apply the match — typically same business day.

Applies to authorized U.S. retailers only. Excludes open-box, clearance, used, and bundle pricing. Item must be in stock at the competing retailer.

Dundalk LeisureCraft CT Element Nook 54x54 Thermo Grandis indoor sauna

Canadian Timber Collection · Model 606003

The CT Element Nook — the smallest Element, and the one that gives up the least

Full glass front, thermally modified Thermo Grandis instead of cedar, and an optional warm lighting package. The Nook is the 54x54: 93 cubic feet, comfortable for one or two. It is the smallest room in the line — and on LeisureCraft’s drawings it shares the Studio’s interior height, its bench heights and its bench depth exactly. What the Nook gives up is bench length. It does not give up the sauna.

Built to order in Melancthon, Ontario, and shipped as pre-cut panels that go through a normal doorway. This is a traditional rock-and-steam sauna — not infrared — so it gets properly hot and you can pour water on the stones.

Pay over time with Shop Pay Installments at checkout, or finance through APPROVE — both shown on this page. Rates and terms depend on the amount financed and are subject to approval.

See it in action

See the Dundalk LeisureCraft CT Element Nook in action

LeisureCraft's own tour of the Nook — a minute and a half, filmed in a finished basement, which is the room most of these end up in. Worth watching before you read the specifications.

Straight answer first

Where the Nook earns its place

We would rather you bought the right sauna than simply bought one. The Nook is for the room that has already run out of space — a spare bathroom, the end of a home gym, the corner of a basement that is doing three jobs already. Its footprint is 54¾ inches square, which is about the floor area of a generous shower enclosure.

What it does not give up is the part people assume a small sauna compromises. Interior height is 80½ inches, the upper bench sits 36 inches off the floor and is 20 inches deep, and the lower bench sits at 18 — every one of those numbers is identical on the Studio’s drawing. You sit the same way in a Nook as you do in the largest Element. There is simply less bench beside you.

If you want a sauna that lives outdoors through a winter, this is the wrong line — the cedar barrel and cabin models are built for that. If you want infrared, it is the wrong product too; the Element is a traditional sauna with a rock heater.

Core material

Thermo Grandis — why it isn't cedar

The wood is thermally modified in Ontario before it is ever cut. The process drives moisture and sugars out of the timber, which is what makes it hold its shape in a room that swings from ambient to sauna temperature several times a week. Wood that still holds sugar moves, cups and weeps.

It also produces the deep, even brown you see in the photographs. That is the treatment, not a stain or a veneer — so it does not wear off the surface, and there is nothing to reapply.

Thermo Grandis interior of the CT Element Nook indoor sauna

Element Nook construction

What you are paying for in the build

Triple-layer walls

Interior wood, a vapour barrier, an air gap and an exterior finish. The air gap is the useful part: it lets an electrician route the heater and light wiring inside the wall, so nothing is surface-mounted down a panel you have to look at.

Fully framed floor

A complete floor on 2x4 beams with a Thermo Grandis surface, so the room arrives structurally finished rather than needing a base built for it. It sits level on an existing floor with no separate pan and no drain, which is what lets an Element go into a basement or a spare room without plumbing work.

10 mm glass, 20-inch upper bench

The door and front window are 10 mm glass, noticeably thicker than the glass on the outdoor barrel and cabin models. LeisureCraft’s section drawing puts the upper bench 20 inches deep and 36 inches off the floor, with the lower at 18 — the same section on all three sizes.

Choosing your heater

Electric only, and the size is decided for you

The Element takes an electric heater, and the output is set by room volume rather than taste — the Nook takes 4.5 kW, the smallest in the range. Three heaters fit it, and the choice between them is about control and floor space, not heat.

Harvia KIP

Finnish, wall-mounted, with the controls built into the heater itself. LeisureCraft publishes its stone capacity at 44 lb (20 kg) — the smallest of the three — and it is the only one of the three with no Wi-Fi option. The straightforward choice, and the one most Element buyers take.

Homecraft Revive Slim

Canadian-made, entirely stainless, and only eight inches deep — 13.5″ x 8″ x 36″ — so it gives back the most floor space of the three in a small room. Holds 100 lb (45 kg) of stone, more than double the Harvia, which is what lets it hold a steadier temperature through a long session. A Wi-Fi control option is available.

HUUM Drop

Estonian, a Red Dot design award winner, and the stone champion of the three: 120 lb (55 kg) against the Harvia’s 44 lb — nearly three times as much, and that mass is what gives the softer, longer-lasting steam. Wall-mounted, with Wi-Fi control through the HUUM app, and the one buyers pick on looks as much as on output.

Your heater is chosen separately and added to your order. That is how LeisureCraft builds them, and it is why you are not paying for a heater that is wrong for your room. Call (888) 500-5675 and we will add the right one to your order, matched to your room and priced with the sauna. Already own a suitable heater? Order the sauna on its own and we will check the specification with you first. One warranty note worth having in writing: LeisureCraft’s published schedule lists three years on the HUUM Drop, excluding elements, rocks and sensors, while HUUM’s own marketing quotes five. Three years is the term we buy under, and the one we confirm with your order.

Living with it

What a week in the Element Nook actually looks like

The weekday fifteen

One person, the door shut, a cold shower after. The Nook is the only Element that runs on a 4.5 kW heater — the smallest electrical demand in the range — because 93 cubic feet is simply less air to bring up to temperature.

When there are two of you

Both of you on the upper bench, facing the heater. Honest version: at 93 cubic feet two adults is companionable rather than roomy. If two people will use it together most days, read the Loft page before you order this one.

The evening room

Add the lighting package and it stops being a box in the corner. Warm, low, indirect — the glass front means it reads as part of the room, which matters when the room is somewhere you already spend time.

Who buys this one

Three people who choose the Nook over the bigger two

The condo or townhouse owner

No yard, no slab, no exterior wall to cut through and no chimney to permit. An electric indoor sauna is the only version of this that works in a building you do not own the outside of.

The spare bathroom conversion

54¾ inches square is roughly a generous shower footprint. It needs a dedicated circuit and a licensed electrician — it does not need a drain, a pan or any plumbing.

The one who uses it daily

Smallest room, smallest heater, least air to heat. If the sauna is a solo habit rather than something the household does together, the Nook is the size that fits the habit.

Full specifications

Element Nook specifications, and how the three sizes compare

All three share the same construction, the same 80½-inch interior height, the same Thermo Grandis and the same electric-only design. Footprint and heater size are what change.

Dimensions are LeisureCraft's published figures, checked against their engineering drawings — all three interior volumes reconcile exactly. Note that LeisureCraft's own spec table mis-prints the Studio's exterior metric conversions — it lists 64.75" as 215 cm, where the correct figure is 164 cm. The imperial figures above govern.

Also available: Element Loft (54x74) and Element Studio (64x84). Not sure which fits? Compare the interior volumes above rather than the footprints — that is the number that decides how the room actually feels.

Ownership, in numbers

What the Element Nook costs to use, once it is in the room

The Nook is the smallest room in the range, so it is also the one people most often compare against carrying on paying for sessions somewhere else. We are not going to invent a number for that comparison — we do not know what you paid, and we do not know how often you will use it. What we can give you is the denominator.

780Sessions in five years, at three a week
1,560Person-sessions, with two of you using it
0Memberships, bookings, drive time or drop-in fees
4.5 kWThe one cost that recurs — the power to heat it

Divide your delivered price by 780 — or by 1,560 if two of you use it — and you have your real cost per session. We would rather hand you the arithmetic than publish a number about your habits that we made up.

Assembly

Building the Element Nook

The full assembly, start to finish, from LeisureCraft. It is the honest version of what a build day looks like — worth watching before you order rather than after.

Free delivery

Delivery, and what to have ready

Freight included

Freight and all cross-border charges are already in the price, curbside to the contiguous 48 states. A few situations do add cost — a tilt-tow truck, an address change after the crate has shipped, or terminal storage if a delivery appointment stalls. Every one of them is avoidable, and every one is listed in plain language on our shipping policy.

Built to order

Nothing is stocked. Your unit joins the production queue in Melancthon, Ontario, and is cut to your order — which is also why LeisureCraft accepts no returns on it. Your build confirmation comes to you in writing with the production window and the exact crate dimensions. The Nook crate runs about 511 lb, a dealer-reported figure, since LeisureCraft does not publish a packaged weight.

Inspect before you sign

Photograph any damage and write it on the Bill of Lading before you sign, then call us within 72 hours. A clean signature makes a freight claim very hard to win. The crate arrives on an LTL truck and is not carried inside, so confirm the crate dimensions and your access route with us before you order — that is the step that goes wrong most often.

Because each unit is cut for your order, LeisureCraft does not accept returns or exchanges at any point. If your build has not started we will do everything we can to cancel at no cost — call us the moment anything changes. Read our LeisureCraft shipping policy and return policy before ordering — and call us with any doubt, because we would rather talk it through first.

Before you start. Heat loads the cardiovascular system. If you are pregnant, have heart disease, high or low blood pressure, a seizure disorder or diabetes, have a pacemaker or another implanted cardiac or electronic device, are recovering from surgery, have Raynaud's syndrome, or take medication affecting blood pressure, thermoregulation or alertness, speak to your doctor first. This is not an exhaustive list — if you have any health condition, ask your doctor before you start. Never use a sauna after drinking alcohol, and children should not use one unsupervised.

Buyer questions

Element Nook — questions answered

Is 93 cubic feet actually big enough for two people?

For two, yes — but it is companionable rather than roomy, and we would rather say that plainly. The bench geometry is identical to the largest Element: the upper bench is 20 inches deep and sits 36 inches off the floor on all three models. What the Nook has less of is bench length. If two of you will use it together most days, the Loft is the same depth and gives you twenty more inches of bench — read that page before you decide.

How is this different from a two-person infrared cabin?

It is a different kind of heat. The Element is a traditional Finnish sauna: a rock heater, real sauna temperature, and water on the stones for steam. An infrared cabin warms you directly with emitters at a much lower air temperature and you cannot pour water in one. The Element also has a fully framed floor, triple-layer walls and 10 mm glass, which is a different class of build from most cabin-style infrared units.

What size heater does the Element Nook need?

4.5 kW, and it is not a matter of preference — the 93 cubic foot room sets it. Undersize the heater and the room never reaches temperature no matter how long you leave it on. It is the smallest heater in the Element range, which also makes the Nook the lowest electrical demand of the three.

What electrical work does it need?

A dedicated circuit and a licensed electrician. Sauna heaters are generally installed on a standard breaker rather than a GFCI, but your heater's own installation manual, your electrician and your local inspector govern — we send you the manufacturer's sheet with your order. Improper installation is excluded from the warranty. The triple-layer wall includes an air gap specifically so the heater and light wiring can be routed inside the wall rather than surface-mounted.

How hard is it to assemble, and how long does it take?

It ships as pre-cut, pre-drilled panels — no cutting and no carpentry. Two people, a drill and basic hand tools will do it. Budget a full day rather than an afternoon. The complete assembly manual is linked on this page so you can read it before you order, not after, and the build video runs the whole thing start to finish. A printed copy ships in the crate.

Will it fit through a standard door?

It arrives as flat panels, not assembled, which is the whole point of the panelised build. The crate is a freight crate rather than a parcel, so plan for the delivery, but the panels themselves go through a normal doorway and down a normal stairwell. Assembled, the Nook stands 88.0625" tall — measure your ceiling before you order, and call us if it's tight.

Does it need a floor drain or plumbing?

No. The Element includes a fully framed floor built on 2x4 beams with a Thermo Grandis surface, so it sits on your finished floor without a drain, a pan or any plumbing. A traditional sauna uses very little water — what you ladle onto the stones evaporates.

What does the warranty cover?

Five years, residential, against defects in materials and workmanship, running from the day you receive it. It is a parts-only warranty — service, labour and installation are excluded, and a replaced part does not restart the five years. Heaters sit outside it and carry their own manufacturer terms, which we confirm in writing with your order.

Is Recovery Room Direct an authorized LeisureCraft dealer?

Yes. We buy directly from the manufacturer in Melancthon, Ontario, your build is placed against your order, and we send you the manufacturer's warranty registration link with your order confirmation. When something needs sorting out, we deal with the factory on your behalf.

Can I pay for this over time?

Yes. Shop Pay Installments is available at checkout, and APPROVE offers financing for larger orders including business and commercial buyers. Both are shown on this page. Terms, the length of the plan and whether interest applies all depend on the amount financed and on approval, so the exact offer is the one presented to you at checkout rather than anything we can quote here. Call us if you would rather talk it through before you apply.

What happens if I change my mind after ordering?

Every Element is cut for your specific order, so LeisureCraft does not accept returns or exchanges at any point — that is their policy, not a restocking-fee arrangement, and we would rather you knew it before you order than after. If your build has not started we will do everything we can to cancel it at no cost to you, which is why the single most useful thing you can do is call the moment anything changes. Our full LeisureCraft return policy sets out where you stand.

Is a traditional sauna safe for me?

For most healthy adults, used sensibly, yes — but heat genuinely loads the cardiovascular system, so this is a question for your doctor rather than for us. Speak to them first if you are pregnant, have heart disease, high or low blood pressure, a seizure disorder or diabetes, have a pacemaker or another implanted cardiac or electronic device, are recovering from surgery, have Raynaud's syndrome, or take medication affecting blood pressure, thermoregulation or alertness. That list is not exhaustive. Never use a sauna after drinking alcohol, and children should not use one unsupervised.
