How does delivery work?
How does delivery work?
Free freight to the contiguous 48. Every Luraco chair ships from Luraco's factory in Arlington, Texas, as one large box on a pallet, about 380 to 410 pounds.
Curbside on the i9 Max Plus, Special Edition and Model 3. The carrier books a window, someone signs, and the chair is left at the curb, not carried inside. Luraco ships these in about 7 to 10 days. Our Premium In-Home Setup can bring it to your room.
White glove on the Billionaire and Royal. Included at no charge: a two-person team brings the chair to your room, assembles it and removes the packaging.
What we need from you. Two phone numbers and a note on any stairs on the way in, which we ask for after you order.
If it arrives damaged. Note it on the paperwork before signing, photograph it, and tell us within 48 hours. Refuse a crushed or punctured carton and call us while the driver is there.
What does the warranty cover?
What does the warranty cover?
Home use: 5 years parts, 3 years in-home labor, 10 years leather. Luraco's own coverage on every chair we sell, with proof of purchase.
Commercial use: written cover. 1 year on parts, the first 6 months with labor, and 1 year on the leather. Tell us before you order for a gym, clinic, spa or office.
Extended plan. Adds 2 years of labor for home use, so parts and labor both run 5 years. Add it beside Add to Cart and we register it with Luraco. Not offered for commercial use.
How a claim works. Call Luraco with your receipt; Luraco troubleshoots by phone first, then sends in-home labor or a return authorization. If a claim stalls, we take it up for you.
Not covered. Misuse, unauthorized repairs, power surges, liquids, normal leather wear and cosmetic changes. Coverage stays with the first buyer at the first address.
What if I need to return it?
What if I need to return it?
30 days from delivery. On the i9 Max Plus and the Model 3 Hybrid SL. We handle it with Luraco, so you do not contact the manufacturer yourself.
What a return costs. A restocking fee of up to 5% may apply on a change of mind, and we waive it whenever we are not charged ourselves. You pay the return freight; we cover it when the cause is shipping damage or our error. We never deduct the original shipping from your refund.
Condition. As new, in the original box with all parts. Luraco refunds a chair only in its original packaging.
Personalized editions are final sale. The Special Edition, Billionaire and Royal are built with your name, and Luraco does not take personalized chairs back. A fault is still covered by the warranty.
Damaged on arrival is different. Note it on the delivery paperwork, photograph it and tell us within 48 hours. A documented freight claim carries no restocking fee and no return freight.

The short answer
The Luraco i9 Max Plus massage chair: one 3D engine, powered easy-entry armrests and rollers from the hands to the soles
The i9 Max Plus is the core of Luraco's i9 line: a 60 inch Split L-Track, one 3D roller engine, 52 air cells and 14 motors, with rollers for the hands, calves and soles as well as the back.
It is for a buyer who wants the arms, hands and calves worked as well as the back, and armrests that open on a motor for an easier way in, on one 3D engine and in a chair that stays returnable. Next to the Model 3 Hybrid SL it adds those armrests, which close around your forearms with rollers, heat and actuators that stretch the hands, plus calf rollers and Warm Chair. Every model sits in our Luraco massage chairs collection.
Who it fits
4 ft 7 to 6 ft 10
Rated to 300 pounds. The seat is 22 inches wide.
The room
87 in reclined
With Luraco's clearances, plan 135 by 74 inches.
The power
200 W max
A grounded 120 volt household outlet.
Fit
Luraco i9 Max Plus massage chair dimensions, user height and room size
Plan the room around the reclined length, 87 inches, plus the clearances in Luraco's manual.
| User height | 4 ft 7 in to 6 ft 10 in |
|---|---|
| User weight | Up to 300 lb |
| Seat width | 22 in |
| Reclined | 47 in H x 38 in W x 87 in L |
| Recline | 120 to 170 degrees |
| Leg rest | Up to 8 in longer, sized by a heel sensor |
| Clearance | 36 in in front, 12 in behind, 18 in beside the armrest |

Turning the manual's clearances into a floor plan
The clearances leave the armrests room to open and you room to step in from the side. From the i9 manual's clearances: 12 inches behind the backrest, 87 inches of reclined chair and 36 in front make a run of 135 inches, which is 11 feet 3. Across, the 38 inch chair with 18 inches to a wall on each side needs 74 inches, or 56 with one side open.
Only the chair body has to pass your doors
The carrier leaves the shipment at your curb or the end of your driveway: one box on a pallet, 71 by 34 by 70 inches and 380 pounds. The box is opened where it lands, and only the main body, without the leg rest and armrests, has to pass through your doors. Luraco publishes no size for the body, so send us the width of your narrowest door and we confirm it with Luraco before the chair ships.
The massage
How the Luraco i9 Max Plus massages: track, engine, air and heat
Four systems and what each one does.
A 60 inch Split L-Track
The rollers follow the backrest down and bend under the seat, 60 inches from neck to beneath you. The track is patented under US 10,849,819, whose guide rails split where the backrest pivots, so the chair can stretch the back while the rollers keep moving. Compare track shapes in our L-track vs SL-track vs S-track guide, or browse all our L-track massage chairs.
One 3D roller engine and 14 motors
Luraco calls its mechanism 3D Butterfly Technology. Its patent, US 10,905,624, describes rollers driven in a three dimensional orbit by one motor, so the rollers press in and draw back as well as travel. Programs mix rolling, kneading and tapping, with five intensity levels for each of six body areas. Our 2D vs 3D vs 4D massage chairs guide explains the labels, and the i9 sits with all our 3D massage chairs.
52 air cells, calves and feet
The air cells squeeze the backrest and seat, shoulders and biceps, arms and leg rest; the shoulder and bicep cells slide to a new height on a knob. In the leg rest, calf rollers, tripled foot rollers and Achilles nodes work the lower legs and soles.
The armrests are the i9 difference
Press the armrest button, or the Adjust screen on the remote, and the armrests open on a motor for side entry, then close around your arms. Inside are arm and hand rollers, hand heat and actuators for a hand and arm stretch that Luraco describes as patent pending.

Stretch, recline and heat
The stretch programs twist the body and pull through the feet and spine, and the backrest tips from 120 to 170 degrees, through zero gravity. Heat covers the lower back, hands and feet on five levels. Warm Chair, set separately, keeps the chair warm while it is off.
Before you order
Luraco i9 Max Plus: five things to measure before you order
Each is quick to settle now and harder to fix with a 380 pound pallet at the curb.
- The outletGrounded, three prong, 120 volts, near the spot. The manual calls for a normal household circuit
- Doorways and stairsMeasure the narrowest door and every stair turn on the route and send us the figure. Count any steps too, since delivery is curbside
- The floorLevel and solid. The manual warns against moving the chair across wood or carpet, so decide where it lives before you unbox
- The roomThe floor plan above, out of direct sun and away from bathrooms and pools. The rating plate says indoor use only
- Who moves itAbout 310 pounds of chair, and the manual asks for two people to assemble it. Curbside delivery leaves the carry and the assembly to you, unless you add our Professional Setup & Assembly
Construction
How Luraco builds the i9 Max Plus in Arlington, Texas
Luraco designs, engineers and assembles the i9 Max Plus in Arlington, Texas, from US and global components, which is how Luraco's own badge qualifies the chair's origin.
The leather
Luraco covers the entire chair in what it calls automotive leather, in black, chocolate or cream, and gives the leather a 10 year term on home use.

Noise and software
The compressor and valves that feed the air cells sit in a sound-damping enclosure under US patent 10,724,549. The software updates over WiFi, and a 10 W Bluetooth speaker streams music from your phone.
The i9 Max Plus is listed with our zero gravity massage chairs and heated massage chairs, and in our full range of massage chairs.
Running cost
Luraco i9 Max Plus running cost, in cents per session
Two inputs: the rating plate's 200 watts maximum, which is 0.2 kilowatts, and 18.34 cents per kilowatt hour, the national residential average in the EIA's Electric Power Monthly for June 2026.
One 30 minute session
1.8 cents
0.1 kilowatt hours. The 20 minute default session is 1.2 cents.
A month, daily
$0.55
Daily for 30 days, 3 kilowatt hours.
A year, daily
$6.69
Daily for a year, 36.5 kilowatt hours.
These are ceilings, since they assume full draw for the whole session.
What you get
What comes in the Luraco i9 Max Plus box, and what you supply
One box holds the chair in four parts, and putting them together is yours to do. Luraco puts it at 30 to 90 minutes.
Required before it runs
- A grounded 120 volt outletStandard household, three prong, close to the chair
- A second pair of handsLuraco's manual calls for two people to put the chair together
- The empty leg rest boxKeep it: the manual props the raised leg rest on it while you connect it
Optional
- Professional Setup & AssemblyA two-person team brings the chair to your room, unboxes, assembles and positions it, and takes the packaging away
- Monthly paymentsHow our massage chair financing works
| Main body | Backrest, seat, track and roller engine, with the power inlet and switch |
|---|---|
| Leg rest | Calf and foot section, two hinge lock pins |
| Armrests | Left and right, two knob screws each |

Delivery day
Luraco i9 Max Plus delivery day: what to inspect at the curb
Curbside freight is free in the lower 48: the carrier leaves the chair at the curb or the end of the driveway, and someone has to be there to receive it. Luraco ships it in about 7 to 10 days; the buy box shows your estimated delivery date.
Before delivery
Clear a path to the room and book your second person for the day.
At the curb
Walk around the pallet before signing for it. A crushed corner, a hole or a water mark gets a photo and a line on the delivery receipt.
Before you assemble
Check the leather, leg rest and both armrests before the packing goes out.
Curbside leaves the carry indoors and the assembly to you, or add our Professional Setup & Assembly, which does both: see in-home massage chair delivery and the setup details beside Add to Cart.

Pick the i9 Max Plus when the arms matter and one engine is enough. The Luraco Model 3 Hybrid SL keeps the track, engine and air cells without the armrest machinery. Above it, the Luraco i9 Max Plus Special Edition doubles the 3D engines, brings emergency backup power and puts your name on the chair, and that personalization makes it final sale.
Warranty and certification
Luraco i9 Max Plus massage chair warranty, service and certifications
Luraco warrants the chair itself, on different terms for a home and a business.
| Home use, in-home service | 3 years, parts and labor |
|---|---|
| Home use, parts | 5 years |
| Home use, leather | 10 years, labeled Guaranteed No Tearing; normal wear excluded |
| Commercial use | 6 months parts and labor, then parts to 1 year; leather 1 year |
| Extended plan | Luraco's plan, added in the buy box: 2 more years of labor, home use only, so 5 years parts and 5 years labor in total |
Luraco's extended plan
The extended warranty row in the buy box is Luraco's own plan, for home use only. It adds 2 years of labor, so labor runs 5 years to match the 5 years of parts. Choose it when you add the chair to your cart and we register it with Luraco for you inside Luraco's 90 day window; Luraco performs the coverage, and does not offer the plan for commercial use.
How a claim works
Call Luraco's customer service line, printed in the manual, with proof of purchase. Luraco troubleshoots by phone first, then sends in-home labor (home use, first three years) or issues a return authorization to ship the chair to its service center. Coverage stays with the original purchaser at the original address, and Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico fall outside the in-home service area. Chairs from unauthorized dealers are excluded; Recovery Room Direct is an authorized Luraco dealer. Full terms are on our Luraco warranty policy page.
Certifications
The i9 Max Plus is cULus listed to UL 1647 (UL file E340228), the safety standard for motor-operated massage machines, and the mark is on its rating plate. Luraco is an FDA-registered manufacturer, and the chair is listed with the FDA as a Class I therapeutic massager.
Buyer questions
Common questions about the Luraco i9 Max Plus massage chair
How much room does the Luraco i9 Max Plus need?
Reclined, it is 87 inches long and 38 wide. With Luraco's clearances of 36 inches in front, 12 behind and 18 beside the armrest, plan 135 inches of run and 74 across between two walls, or 56 with one side open.
What height and weight does the Luraco i9 Max Plus fit?
Users from 4 feet 7 inches to 6 feet 10 inches and up to 300 pounds. The leg rest lengthens by up to 8 inches, sized by a sensor your right heel presses.
Does the Luraco i9 Max Plus need a special outlet?
No. The rating plate reads 120 volts AC, 60 hertz, 200 watts maximum, so a standard grounded household outlet runs it. If the three prong plug does not fit, have an electrician fit a proper outlet.
How is the Luraco i9 Max Plus delivered, and will the box fit through my door?
Curbside freight is free in the lower 48, left at the curb or the end of the driveway with someone there to receive it. Luraco ships it in about 7 to 10 days; the buy box shows your estimated delivery date. The pallet is 71 by 34 by 70 inches, but the box is opened where it lands and only the main body, without the leg rest and armrests, goes through your doors. Send us your narrowest door width and we confirm it with Luraco before it ships.
How long does the Luraco i9 Max Plus take to assemble?
Luraco puts it at 30 to 90 minutes with at least two people. You hang the leg rest on two lock pins, fix each armrest with two knob screws, join the marked connectors, then charge the remote. Or add our Professional Setup & Assembly and the team assembles it in your room.
What warranty comes with the Luraco i9 Max Plus?
For home use, 3 years of in-home service, 5 years of parts and 10 years on the leather. Luraco's home-use extended plan, an option in the buy box, brings labor to 5 years, and we register it with Luraco for you. Ask us and we will email you the warranty terms and the owner's manual before you buy.
Can the Luraco i9 Max Plus be used in a gym, spa or clinic?
Yes, on Luraco's written commercial terms: 6 months of parts and labor, parts to a year and a year on the leather, with no extended plan.
What is the difference between the Luraco i9 Max Plus and the Special Edition?
The Special Edition adds a second 3D roller engine, 18 motors to this chair's 14, emergency backup power and your name on the remote and a leather name tag. Personalization makes it final sale; the i9 Max Plus keeps the standard 30 day return policy.
Should I choose the Luraco i9 Max Plus or the Model 3 Hybrid SL?
They share a 60 inch Split L-Track, a single 3D engine and 52 air cells. On top of that, this chair has powered armrests with hand rollers, hand heat and hand stretch, plus calf rollers and Warm Chair. If the back, hips and feet are your focus, the Model 3 works them on the same track.
Where is the Luraco i9 Max Plus made, and is it FDA registered?
Luraco designs, engineers and assembles it in Arlington, Texas, from US and global components. Luraco is an FDA-registered manufacturer and the chair is listed as a Class I therapeutic massager, a registration rather than an approval.
