The control mounts outside the hot room and is wired by a licensed electrician, which Harvia requires for the heater warranty. These are the 240V single-phase parts; call (888) 500-5675 for 208V three-phase.
Sized for the Harvia Xenio control panel that the CX45 and the CX30C both use. It does not hold the Xenio power unit, which is larger and mounts under cover or indoors.
Electrical gear is not included. What has to live in the box, and how it is bonded, is your electrician's call.
Harvia sells the heater and the stones separately and states the weight each model holds. Old or crumbling stones restrict airflow and shorten element life, so they are replaced rather than reused.
SaunaLife builds eight Essentials sets. These are the three that differ in what you get; the rest are color and material variations of the same three, and they are all on the Essentials Set page.

Freight, not parcel. Shipping is quoted per model and charged at checkout, and you see the exact figure before you pay.
When it ships. Stock across a range this size moves week to week, so we confirm the position for your model when you order rather than publishing an average that would be wrong for half the catalog.
How you will know. You get a tracking notification by email once your order ships. On a freight shipment the updates come from the carrier's own portal rather than standard UPS or FedEx tracking, so we include the carrier name, the PRO tracking number and a link to their tracking tool.
How it arrives. Palletized on an LTL carrier, or on a flat bed for the largest cabins. The carrier calls to arrange a window, someone must be there to sign, and delivery is to the curb. Pallets run up to 81 inches wide, so check the route from where a truck can stop to where the sauna will sit before you order.
Where it ships. Rates cover the contiguous 48 states. Canada is higher and set by SaunaLife, and Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico are always quoted case by case, so contact us before ordering.
If it arrives damaged. Inspect every crate with the driver still there and write any damage on the delivery receipt before you sign. SaunaLife excludes damage that would have been visible on inspection, so a clean signature can cost you the claim. Call us from the driveway.
What does the warranty cover?

Two years, residential. Defects in workmanship under normal use, from the date you take delivery, to the original retail purchaser. Keep your receipt.
Repair or replace. SaunaLife chooses which, and may substitute a component of equivalent value. A replaced part carries the remaining term rather than starting a new one.
Not covered. Installation and delivery, normal wear, user damage, and the way wood behaves: knots, grain and tone differences, shrinkage, moderate deformation and weathering. Accessories carry one year. Cleaners, wax, paint and oils carry 60 days.
Residential only. Commercial use voids it, so call before you order if the sauna goes into a gym, spa, clinic or any other business and we will confirm the terms in writing.
The heater is separate. A SaunaLife sauna does not include a heater, so the heater, its control unit and its stones fall under that manufacturer's warranty.
Transport damage must be caught on delivery. Damage that would have been detectable by visual inspection before installation is excluded. Inspect the crates with the driver, write any damage on the delivery receipt before you sign, and photograph everything before you move it. Once panels are assembled, a claim for damage that was visible beforehand is very hard to win.
Who handles it. We handle the claim with SaunaLife for you. Call (888) 500-5675 with your order number, photographs and a description of the fault.
What if I need to return it?
What if I need to return it?
30 days from purchase. The unit must be new, uninstalled and in resalable condition with its original crating and all included parts. Once panels have been screwed together, a tub has been filled or a stove has been fired, it counts as installed and cannot be returned.
What a return costs. A 20 percent restocking fee may be deducted from your refund on a standard customer return.
Who pays the freight. You do on a change of mind, and on a crated sauna that is a real number rather than a formality, so ask us for a figure before you commit. The freight you paid at checkout is not refunded either.
When it is our fault. If the cause is shipping damage or an error on our side, we and the distributor cover the return and nothing is deducted.
Damaged on arrival. A different process, and it is time sensitive. Note the damage on the delivery receipt before you sign, photograph the crates before you move anything, and call us the same day. Transit damage is resolved by replacement parts rather than by return.
Cancelling before it ships. No fee at all before we submit your order to the manufacturer. After we submit it but before it ships, an administrative fee of up to 5 percent may apply, and we waive it whenever we are not charged.

Finish
Natural or black, and what the difference really is
SaunaLife builds the GL6 in two finishes. It is the same cabin either way: the same timber, the same benching, the same glass. What changes is how the outside is treated, and when.
Natural
Supplied uncoated, so you can oil, stain or paint the exterior whenever you choose. Nothing has to be done on delivery day.
Black
The crate carries three 2.7 litre tins of PROSAUNAS SaunaShield black sauna paint. You or your installer roll it onto the shell once the sauna is standing.
Why the paint travels in the crate instead of on the cabin
A finished cabin has to survive the same freight journey as a bare one. Strapping, forklift handling and the staves working against each other in transit all mark a painted surface, and a scuff shows far more on a black wall than on raw timber. Painting once the shell is standing gives an even coat with nothing to touch up, and it lets you reach the joints and end grain that are hidden once the panels are apart.
What applying it involves
SaunaShield is a water-based acrylate made for the outside of a sauna. PROSAUNAS give coverage as 8 to 10 square metres per litre on planed timber, and describe the coating as quick drying with a 12 year durability under proper maintenance. Work to the instructions on the tin for preparation, number of coats and drying time, and keep what is left for touching up later.
The black finish is a choice about appearance and upkeep, not about how the sauna is built or how it performs. Heater sizing, the electrical supply and the warranty are identical on both.

Choosing a sauna heater for the GL6
SaunaLife's installation manual states that the heater guard may not meet the safety distances of all heaters and should not be used if the heater does not fit, and that the heater is placed before the benches go in. Talk to us before you order so the heater and the guard work together.

The GL6 ships by palleted/LTL freight on a pallet at 2425 lbs (830 kg). A freight carrier calls to schedule a delivery window.

Check your access
The pallet is 83" W x 43" D x 43" H. Measure gates, paths and turns before delivery day, because a standard side gate is often narrower than that.

Walls, roof and benches arrive prefabricated with the materials and fasteners included. SaunaLife rates the build at two people over two days.
Plan for two people
The panels are heavy and awkward for one person. Two people and a level, prepared base make the day go smoothly.
Electrical is separate
The heater and the LED light system need power. Have a licensed electrician handle the circuit and any permit your area requires.

Does the SaunaLife GL6 come with a heater?
No, and that is deliberate. The kit includes the room, benches, door, roof and lighting, and you choose the heater to suit how you like to bathe. The models SaunaLife recommends are listed above and we stock them.
What size sauna heater does the GL6 need?
The interior is about 222 cubic feet, which is what decides heater output. Every heater we list for this room is matched to that volume, so any of them will heat it properly. Going bigger than the room needs does not heat it faster, it just cycles more.
Do I need a separate control unit?
It depends on the heater. Some have controls built into the body and need nothing else. Others are built for an external control panel, which is a separate purchase. Each heater page says which it is, and we stock the matching Harvia Xenio controls. Sauna stones come from the heater too, and you choose those on the heater page.
What electrical work does it need?
A sauna heater runs on a dedicated hardwired circuit, not a wall outlet, and the exact circuit size depends on which heater you choose. The heater product page carries its voltage and requirements. Have a licensed electrician do the work and check whether your area needs a permit.
Will the heater guard fit any heater I choose?
