Shipping & Delivery

Your order ships free from the manufacturer's California warehouse on a strapped pallet via insured LTL freight. Orders are processed within 2 business days, and delivery to most addresses in the contiguous US takes 5–7 business days after shipment. You'll receive a tracking number by email as soon as your order leaves the warehouse.

Scheduling your delivery. The freight carrier will reach out before the truck rolls — most carriers call 24–48 hours ahead to lock in a four-hour delivery window. Some carriers (including R+L) send an email or text the morning of delivery instead. Respond promptly either way. If the carrier can't reach you and misses 2–3 delivery attempts, terminal storage fees kick in and the item may be returned at your expense.

What to expect at delivery. A 53-foot semi-truck arrives at your curbside. The driver uses the truck's built-in liftgate to lower the pallet to ground level — that's where their responsibility ends. Standard delivery does not include bringing the equipment inside, up stairs, or unpacking. Plan ahead: have help available to move it once it's off the truck. Someone must be present to sign for the delivery.

CRITICAL — inspect before you sign. Walk around the pallet and check every box before signing the Bill of Lading. Note any scratches, dents, or scuff marks directly on the delivery receipt. If you see a large hole, crushed corner, or obvious structural damage, refuse the delivery — we'll ship a replacement at no cost. Signing a clean BOL releases the freight carrier from all liability. A damage claim cannot be filed after a clean signature. This takes two minutes and fully protects you.

Good to know. If your address changes after the order ships, contact us immediately — carrier re-routing fees may apply and will add transit time. If your location cannot comfortably accommodate a 53-foot semi-truck (island, remote road, gated community, narrow access), contact us before ordering so we can arrange an appropriate solution.

Free freight applies to standard residential curbside delivery within the contiguous 48 US states. Hawaii, Alaska, and Canada are not available at standard checkout — contact us before ordering for a freight quote. Transit times are carrier estimates, not guarantees. Applies to all Golden Designs Inc. brands: Dynamic Saunas, Maxxus Saunas, and Dynamic Cold Therapy. View our full Shipping & Delivery policy →

Return Policy

We stand behind every product we sell. If it's not the right fit, you have 30 days from delivery to return it — and if you need to cancel before it ships, you can do that within 24 hours of purchase at no charge.

How to start a return. Email us your order number at sales@recoveryroomdirect.com and we'll issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number within one business day. Write that number clearly on the outside of every box before handing it to the carrier — the warehouse will not accept returns without it.

Condition required. The item must come back new, unused, and in its original packaging with all components, hardware, and accessories included. Items that have been assembled, used, or modified cannot be returned. Electronic components — power supplies, control panels, and accessories — are non-returnable under manufacturer policy regardless of condition.

What it costs to return. We want to be upfront about this: returning large freight equipment has real costs. The manufacturer charges a 20% restocking fee on all returns, and you are responsible for the return freight. If your original order shipped free, the actual outbound freight cost is also deducted from your refund. Any storage or carrier routing fees incurred during the return process are the buyer's responsibility as well. Once the item arrives at the warehouse and passes inspection, your refund is issued within 5 business days to your original payment method.

Damaged on arrival? That's a different process entirely — and you're fully protected. If you refused the delivery and documented the damage on the Bill of Lading, we handle the freight claim and ship you a replacement at no cost. No restocking fee, no return shipping. This is exactly why we ask you to inspect carefully before you sign.

The manufacturer warranty covers defects that arise after the 30-day return window. See full warranty terms at goldendesigninc.com. Questions about your order? Call us at 1-888-500-5675 or email sales@recoveryroomdirect.com — Mon–Sat, 9am–6pm EST. Applies to all Golden Designs Inc. brands: Dynamic Saunas, Maxxus Saunas, and Dynamic Cold Therapy. Dynamic Santiago · DYN-6209-03 FS

The full therapeutic range of infrared — in a 2-person home cabin.

Near, Mid, and Far infrared in a solid Canadian Hemlock cabinet. Near Zero EMF at the seated position. Plugs into a standard outlet. Ships in 3–7 business days from California.

~$20Monthly to run*

If you’ve been researching infrared saunas for a while, you’ve noticed something: most product pages sell you the same three things — vague health claims, confusing EMF language, and recycled drop-ship copy.

This page is different. Before you spend $3,299, we’ll tell you exactly what “Full Spectrum” means, what those EMF numbers actually mean at the position you’ll sit, why this model costs more than the Standard and Elite versions in the same Santiago cabin — and whether this is the right home sauna for your space, your goals, and your daily routine.

Full Spectrum vs. FAR-only: what the price difference actually buys you

The Santiago comes in three versions. Same Canadian Hemlock cabin, three different heater builds. Understanding the difference is the most important decision you’ll make before buying.

Why three wavelengths matter

Far infrared (what most home saunas emit) is great for detox sweat and cardiovascular heat. But it’s only one part of the spectrum the body responds to. The Full Spectrum model adds the two wavelengths that affect skin and cellular recovery — the part of the research that’s actually driving the wellness category.

Wavelength 1
Near Infrared
Penetrates 1–2 inches · skin & epidermis
Cell regeneration, tissue repair, collagen production. The wavelength most associated with wound healing and anti-aging research.
Wavelength 2
Mid Infrared
Penetrates several mm · soft tissue
Improves circulation, reduces inflammation, helps with muscle soreness and joint stiffness. The wavelength most relevant to athletic recovery.
Wavelength 3
Far Infrared
Penetrates 1.5–3 inches · deep tissue
Raises core body temperature, drives heavy sweating, supports cardiovascular conditioning and detoxification. The only wavelength in the Standard and Elite models.
Skin / Epidermis (0–5 mm)
Soft tissue (5–25 mm)
Deep tissue (25–40 mm)
Near → surface
Mid → tissue
Far → deepest
The honest take

If your goals are purely detox and relaxation, the Elite at $2,499 does that very well. If you want the full therapeutic range — recovery, skin, and cellular benefits in addition to detox — the Full Spectrum is the right model. The $800 premium buys you the two wavelengths the cheaper Santiago can’t emit.

“Near Zero EMF” — what that actually means at the seat

EMF marketing in the sauna industry has a credibility problem. Brands use “low EMF,” “ultra low EMF,” and “near zero EMF” interchangeably — usually measured at the outer cabinet wall rather than where you’re actually sitting. One independent reviewer measured over 60 milligauss at chest height on a sauna marketed as “ultra low EMF.”

“Low EMF” saunas10–50 mG · often measured at cabinet wall

10–50 mG
“Ultra Low EMF” saunas1–10 mG · measurement position varies

1–10 mG
This sauna · Near Zero EMFAt seated position, 2–3″ from panels

< 2 mG
Reference: hair dryer at 1 ftTypical household appliance

2–5 mG

The DYN-6209-03 FS uses Dynamic’s PureTech™ Near Zero EMF carbon panels. Per the manufacturer’s published specifications, EMF measures under 2 milligauss at the seated position, 2–3 inches from the panels — where your body actually is during a session. For context, a typical household appliance emits 2–5 mG at a foot of distance.

The honest caveat — every brand should say this

Every electrical device emits some EMF. “Near Zero” is not “zero.” If you have a documented medical EMF sensitivity, talk to your physician and consider a medical-grade sauna. For the wellness-focused buyer, the Near Zero rating on this model represents the best technology available in a home infrared sauna at this price point — and we’ll tell you that openly instead of pretending otherwise.

A daily ritual, not an appliance

The thirty minutes that buy back the rest of your day.

Most buyers don’t end up using their sauna for the reason they bought it. They buy it for detox. They use it because thirty minutes at 130°F is the most reliable off-switch they own.

Cardio without the stress on your joints. Sleep that hits faster. Recovery that doesn’t require driving anywhere. A sanctuary that’s already inside your house.

  • Morning: 25 min before work — cardio + clarity
  • Post-training: 30 min — muscle recovery
  • Evening: 20 min before bed — the off-switch
The athlete
Mid + Far wavelengths drive circulation into soft tissue. Used as part of a daily recovery protocol, infrared sessions are commonly associated with reduced DOMS and faster turnaround between training blocks.
The biohacker
Near IR for skin and cellular work. Far IR for cardiovascular conditioning. Red light therapy built in at 662.7 nm. One footprint, three modalities stacked.
The household
Two-person interior fits comfortably. Cancel the spa membership the family stopped using and put the sauna where the treadmill is collecting dust.

Built from Grade A Canadian Hemlock — and that’s not a marketing line.

The cabin you sit inside matters as much as the heaters you sit beside. Cheap saunas use MDF or composite panels that off-gas chemicals under heat. The Santiago doesn’t. Here’s what you actually own when this arrives.

The wood

Grade A solid Canadian Hemlock, sustainably reforested. No laminates. No composite panels. No glues that release VOCs when heated. Naturally hypoallergenic with a subtle, sweet scent that develops the more you use it.

The build
  • Clear tempered glass door + side window
  • Interior chromotherapy + Red Light at 662.7nm
  • Interior LED control panel within reach
  • Bluetooth + MP3 auxiliary with central speaker
  • ETL, CETL, and CE safety certified

Hemlock is the standard wood for infrared saunas precisely because it doesn’t off-gas under repeated heat cycles. It’s a real material decision — not a finish or a label.

Chromotherapy
9 colors + dedicated red light at 662.7nm wavelength for skin and recovery work.

Interior LED panel
Temperature, time, audio and lighting all controlled from inside the cabin.

120V plug-and-play
Standard 15-amp household outlet. No electrician, no dedicated circuit required.

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take to heat up?
Plan on 30–40 minutes to reach the maximum 140°F. The ideal session range of 118–132°F arrives faster — most users start their session around the 20–25 minute mark. The 120V/15-amp design trades a few minutes of warm-up for plug-and-play installation and ~$20/month operating cost. If a faster heat-up is critical to your routine, larger 220V-style cabins exist, but they require an electrician and a dedicated circuit.
What’s the difference between Standard, Elite, and Full Spectrum?
Same Canadian Hemlock cabin, three different heater builds. Standard (DYN-6209-01, ~$2,299): FAR infrared only, EMF 6–10 mG. Elite (DYN-6209-02, ~$2,499): FAR infrared only, EMF <1 mG. Full Spectrum (this model, $3,299): Near + Mid + Far infrared, Near Zero EMF <2 mG. If detox is your only goal, the Elite is excellent. If you want recovery, skin, and cellular benefits alongside detox, the Full Spectrum is the right pick.
Do I need an electrician?
No. The Santiago runs on a standard 120V / 15 AMP household outlet — the same outlet that powers a microwave or coffee maker. We recommend a dedicated circuit but it’s not required. Most buyers plug straight into an existing outlet with zero electrical work.
How hard is assembly?
~1 hour with 2 people and a single standard screwdriver. Tongue-and-groove panel system, no special tools, no contractor required. Real buyer quote: “Easy to put together — took another person and myself about an hour.” If you’d rather not, hire a local handyman on Thumbtack ($100–$150) and add White Glove delivery (+$250) to get it inside the house.
How much does it cost to run?
Approximately $20/month at 5 sessions per week, 30 minutes per session. The 120V/15 AMP requirement makes it one of the most energy-efficient home saunas you can buy. Lower draw than a hair dryer running continuously.
Will it off-gas formaldehyde?
No. The Santiago is built from Grade A solid Canadian Hemlock — natural, untreated wood, no laminates, no glues, no composite panels. This is one of the reasons Hemlock is the standard wood for infrared saunas: cheap saunas use MDF or composite panels that off-gas chemicals during heating. This sauna does not.
How does delivery actually work?
Curbside freight on a pallet, liftgate included — the truck lowers it to street level. Ships from California, arrives in 3–7 business days. Two boxes, 330 lb total assembled. White Glove inside delivery available at checkout (+$250) and we strongly recommend it for anyone who’d rather not move 165 lb boxes themselves.
Will it fit through my door?
The sauna ships disassembled in 2 boxes and is assembled in-place — individual panels fit through any standard 32″ door. The fully-built unit is 46″W × 40″D × 75″H, so measure your intended room (not just the doorway) before ordering.
Can I use this commercially (medspa / clinic)?
No — and we’ll be honest about it. The Dynamic Santiago is designed and warranted for residential use only. The manufacturer warranty is void for full commercial use. If you’re building a wellness space that needs a sauna rated for multi-client daily use, call us — we’ll point you to commercial-grade alternatives suited for that application.
