Runs on ambient air. No oxygen concentrator required.
Details

The chamber pressurises with ordinary room air, using the electric compressor supplied with it. Everything needed to run a session ships with the chamber.

Some retailers list an oxygen concentrator as required. That describes a separate accessory some owners choose to add, not a condition of operating this chamber. Speak with your physician before considering any supplemental oxygen arrangement.

Prescription needed for home delivery, and we help you arrange one after you order.
How ordering works

Summit to Sea chambers are FDA cleared prescription devices. A physician's prescription is required for delivery to a home. If the chamber is going to a clinic or practice with a licensed practitioner on site, a prescription is not needed.

You can order today. We collect the prescription after your order and before your chamber ships. Email it to sales@recoveryroomdirect.com, or call (888) 500-5675 and we can point you to a telehealth provider.

If you are unable to obtain one before your chamber ships, we cancel the order and refund you in full.

How does delivery work?

A prescription is required before it ships. Summit to Sea chambers are Class II medical devices, so a valid physician's prescription is needed for your order to ship. Email it to sales@recoveryroomdirect.com after placing your order. If we have not received one within 30 days we cancel the order and refund you, less the payment processing fee our card provider does not return to us. You can cancel earlier on the same terms.

Free freight to the lower 48. Your chamber ships free by freight to any address in the contiguous 48 states. Delivery is curbside and liftgate service is not included as standard, so call us before you order if you need one.

When it ships. Once your prescription is confirmed, your order is submitted to Summit to Sea within 2 to 3 business days and ships directly from their facility. Transit is typically 7 to 10 business days after shipment, and you get tracking once the carrier picks it up. Transit times are carrier estimates, not guarantees.

How it arrives. Chambers ship as oversized freight on a pallet. The carrier contacts you to schedule an appointment before the truck arrives, so respond promptly: missed attempts can result in storage fees charged to you. The driver delivers to the curb and will not bring it inside or assist with installation, so have help available.

If it arrives damaged. Walk around the shipment and check all boxes before signing. Cosmetic damage can be accepted, but if a carton is punctured or crushed, refuse that item and call us on (888) 500-5675 while the driver is still there. Note the damage on the Bill of Lading, ask the driver to initial it, photograph it, and contact us within 48 hours. Once the damage is documented on the Bill of Lading we can file a valid freight claim and arrange a replacement at no cost to you. Signing a clean Bill of Lading releases the carrier from all damage claims, and refusing for a reason other than damage, or without contacting us first, can make return freight your responsibility.

Where it ships. Alaska, Hawaii and outside the contiguous states are not available at standard checkout. Call (888) 500-5675 for a custom freight quote.

What does the warranty cover?

How long. Summit to Sea warrants its chambers and accessories against defects for 2 years from your delivery date, covering both parts and labor.

What is covered. All components of the chamber system, including zipper, windows, seams, valves and hoses. Summit to Sea repairs or replaces the item at its discretion.

What is not. Damage from misuse or unauthorized modification.

Freight. Shipping to and from the manufacturer for warranty service is the customer's responsibility.

Extended coverage. Available in 1, 2 or 3 additional years, with the same all-component coverage. You can add it on the chamber's product page when you order, or any time within the 2-year period.

What if I need to return it?

15 days from delivery. This window is shorter than most of what we carry. The chamber must be unused, uninflated and in the same condition you received it, including all original packaging, components, compressors and accessories. A Class II medical device that has been assembled, inflated or used is not eligible for return.

What a return costs. A 20 percent restocking fee may be deducted from your refund, and return freight is your responsibility. Hyperbaric chambers are large, heavy freight, so that cost is significant. The original shipping is not deducted from your refund.

If we do not receive your prescription. Your order cannot ship until a valid prescription is on file. If we have not received one within 30 days of your order, we cancel it and refund you.

Cancelling before it ships. Before we submit your order to Summit to Sea there is no fee. After we submit it but before it ships, an administrative fee of up to 5 percent may apply, and we waive it whenever we are not charged.

Your prescription, and your privacy. We keep the prescription you send us only to document that your order was properly authorized. We do not use it for marketing and we do not share it. Email us if you would like it deleted and we will confirm once it is removed.

Warranty. Every Summit to Sea chamber carries a 2 year manufacturer's warranty covering all components, including the compressor, electronics, zipper, windows, seams, valves and hoses. We coordinate warranty claims for you.

To start a return. Email or call (888) 500-5675 with your order number and proof of purchase, and do not ship anything back without prior written authorization. An approved refund is issued within 5 to 7 business days of inspection.

  • Dual redundant compressor system — professionally rated for daily clinical use
  • 1.3 ATA maximum pressure — standard 120V outlet, no special wiring

Before You Buy

What Every Summit to Sea Grand Dive Pro Buyer Should Know First

The Grand Dive Pro is a clinical-grade purchase. It is Summit to Sea’s entry into professional facility territory — not a step up from a home chamber. Before you order, here are the most important logistics and considerations to understand.

Prescription Required (Residential)

Summit to Sea chambers are Class II medical devices. Delivery to a residential address requires a valid physician’s prescription. Licensed clinical facilities — PT practices, integrative medicine offices, hospital departments — are exempt from this requirement and can order directly.

Freight Shipping — 3 to 5 Weeks Total

The Grand Dive Pro ships via LTL freight at no charge to the contiguous 48 states. Summit to Sea’s lead time is 7–14 business days after order confirmation; freight transit adds additional time. Plan for 3–5 weeks from order to delivery at your facility.

Room Requirements

Fully inflated, the Grand Dive Pro is 96 inches long (8 feet) and 46 inches in diameter. Plan for at least 10 feet of clear floor length plus 3–4 feet of clearance on each end for entry and compressor placement. A dedicated treatment room is the standard installation configuration.

If you are a home buyer who came to this page looking for the largest chamber available, please call us before purchasing — the Grand Dive 40″ is the better starting point for most residential situations. For facility buyers: our team can walk through room layout, workflow integration, and volume pricing. Financing available. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is listed as eligible on published administrator lists, some of which require a Letter of Medical Necessity. Those entries describe the therapy rather than the purchase of a home chamber, so confirm with your plan administrator before you buy. We do not accept HSA or FSA cards at checkout. See how HSA and FSA reimbursement works here.

What Is Mild HBOT?

The Science Behind Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy at 1.3 ATA

Inside a hyperbaric chamber, atmospheric pressure is raised above sea-level. The Grand Dive Pro operates at 1.3 ATA — equivalent to approximately 11 feet below sea level. At this pressure, more oxygen dissolves into blood plasma than is possible at normal conditions. This is a well-understood physical property of gases under pressure, not a medical claim specific to this device.

How the Grand Dive Pro Pressurizes

Two professionally rated compressors gradually inflate the translucent nylon shell to 1.3 ATA over 5–10 minutes. Sessions are conducted breathing ambient air — no oxygen mask or concentrator is required. Typical clinical sessions run 60–90 minutes at pressure, with gradual decompression managed by the therapist or technician using internal and external valves.

Prescription Required

Hyperbaric chambers are Class II medical devices, and federal law restricts their sale to by or on the order of a physician. We’ll need a valid prescription on file before your chamber ships — our team walks you through it, and we can connect you with a telehealth provider if you don’t have one.

Buying for a clinic or practice? Your order simply needs to be placed by, or under the direction of, a licensed practitioner.

Soft-shell hyperbaric chambers are cleared for acute altitude sickness. Any other use — including general wellness and athletic recovery — is off-label. Talk to your physician about your intended use.

Who Uses the Grand Dive Pro

The Grand Dive Pro is primarily a clinical and commercial product. Its buyers include physical therapy practices adding their first HBOT offering, integrative medicine offices running scheduled patient sessions, sports medicine facilities serving professional or collegiate athletes, and hospital wellness departments expanding their recovery services. It is designed for professional operation, not primarily for independent home use.

Research Context

Growing academic research explores the effects of mild HBOT across several areas of clinical interest. This research is ongoing and evolving, and does not constitute labeled medical indications for these devices. Summit to Sea chambers are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease other than altitude sickness. All clinical applications should be supervised by a licensed physician.

Prescription Required (Residential Delivery): A physician’s prescription must be on file before your Grand Dive Pro ships to a home address. Commercial and clinical facilities are exempt. We guide individual buyers through the prescription process or connect them with telehealth providers who can evaluate their situation. See the ordering section below.
What Sets It Apart

Summit to Sea Grand Dive Pro Hyperbaric Chamber — Key Features and Advantages

The Grand Dive Pro is not a larger personal-use chamber — it is a purpose-designed clinical unit. The 46″ diameter and 96″ length exist to serve the range of patient body types, mobility situations, and session volumes that professional facilities actually encounter every day.

Summit to Sea Grand Dive Pro 46-inch clinical hyperbaric chamber exterior
46″ Clinical Interior — Space for Real Patient Diversity

Forty-six inches of interior diameter is the minimum a clinical setting needs to accommodate the range of adult body types that walk through the door. A larger-framed patient has comfortable clearance without compressed positioning. A smaller patient accompanied by a caregiver or observed during their first session fits without contact. Clinical capacity means the chamber serves your whole patient population, not just the average frame.

Summit to Sea Grand Dive Pro interior view
8-Foot Length — Stretcher-Compatible Design

The 96-inch interior length is what makes the Grand Dive Pro a genuine clinical tool rather than an oversized personal chamber. Stretcher access for mobility-limited patients — post-surgical recovery, patients with limited ambulation, elderly clients — requires length, not just diameter. At 8 feet, a standard transfer stretcher can be used to position a patient inside. For PT practices and hospital-adjacent wellness departments, this is not an optional feature; it is a baseline operational requirement.

Summit to Sea Grand Dive Pro floor placement in clinical setting
Professional-Grade Build for Daily Clinical Use

The Grand Dive Pro is built to run multiple sessions per day, five or more days per week, with a rotating patient population. The urethane-coated nylon shell, reinforced zippers, and dual-compressor system are specified for professional use patterns — not occasional home sessions. Clinics scheduling back-to-back appointments can do so on this chamber without the uncertainty of a system designed for lighter-duty use.

2×
Compressors
Dual Compressors — Redundant Clinical Reliability

The Grand Dive Pro’s dual compressor system is about operational continuity in a clinical environment. If one compressor requires service, sessions are not automatically cancelled — the second unit maintains function while the first is addressed. For a practice with a scheduled patient caseload, that continuity is real value. Both compressors run continuously throughout each session, maintaining fresh air circulation and stable pressure.

96″
Interior Length
96-Inch Interior — Accommodates Full-Length Sessions

At 96 inches of interior length, the Grand Dive Pro accommodates virtually any adult patient lying fully extended, including tall individuals above 6’4″. For clinical workflows, the full length creates meaningful working room for patient transfer — enough space to assist a patient into position rather than requiring them to crawl in unaided. This distinction matters for practices serving patients with limited mobility, post-surgical restrictions, or musculoskeletal conditions.

2yr
Full Warranty
2-Year All-Component Warranty — Clinical Grade

Summit to Sea’s two-year warranty covers the chamber shell, zippers, pressure valves, compressors, hoses, and accessories. For a clinical practice running daily sessions, this is a real operational backstop. As an authorized dealer, Recovery Room Direct files your purchase details with Summit to Sea and handles communication on your behalf if a warranty issue arises.

Using Your Chamber

Grand Dive Pro Hyperbaric Chamber — Session Protocol, Start to Finish

In a clinical setting, the Grand Dive Pro is typically operated by a trained therapist or technician from outside the chamber. This protocol is sourced from the Summit to Sea user manual and adapted for professional facility use.

01
Before the Patient Enters
  • Clear the treatment room; ensure clearance on both ends of the chamber for entry and compressor access
  • Confirm both compressors are plugged into the appropriate 120V 15A outlet
  • Confirm the red deflation valve is fully closed before beginning pressurization
  • Assist the patient into the chamber; for mobility-limited patients, use a transfer stretcher through the 96-inch opening
  • Provide the patient with water — drinking during early inflation helps equalize ear pressure; brief the patient on the Valsalva maneuver before entry
02
During Pressurization
  • Turn on both compressors — the chamber pressurizes automatically to 1.3 ATA (4.4 PSI)
  • Monitor the patient through the translucent shell; maintain verbal communication throughout pressurization
  • If the patient experiences ear discomfort: instruct them to pinch their nose, close their mouth, and gently exhale (Valsalva maneuver). The operator can also partially open the deflation valve to slow the pressurization rate
  • Pressurization is complete when the pressure relief valves begin releasing and the gauge reads in the target range; leave both compressors running for continuous fresh air circulation
03
Decompression and Exit
  • At session end, turn the red deflation valve to release pressure gradually; the operator controls deflation speed from outside
  • Wait until the chamber sides are fully soft and the gauge reads zero before opening any zipper — never unzip or unbuckle while the chamber is pressurized
  • Open both zippers fully, then assist the patient in exiting; use transfer equipment for mobility-limited patients
  • Between sessions: allow adequate ventilation; log session time and any patient observations per your practice’s clinical protocol

Always review the complete Summit to Sea user manual before placing the Grand Dive Pro into clinical service. Facility operators are responsible for staff training, session documentation, and applicable clinical compliance standards. Contact our team with setup or operational questions.

Understanding the Value

Referring Patients Out vs. Running Sessions In-House

For practices currently referring patients to standalone hyperbaric clinics, the question is whether you capture that value or continue to send it elsewhere. This is a practical framework — not a financial projection. Results depend on your patient volume, session fees, and operational costs.

Ongoing Per-Session Clinic Fees
  • Your patients pay a third-party facility directly for each session
  • You lose continuity of care — outcomes happen off-site
  • Scheduling is dependent on another facility’s availability and hours
  • No recurring revenue from HBOT flows back to your practice
Grand Dive Pro at Your Practice
  • Session revenue stays in your practice on your schedule
  • You control the patient experience and treatment continuity
  • 2–3 patient capacity allows back-to-back scheduling
  • One-time capital acquisition; two-year warranty on all components

The Grand Dive Pro is a capital purchase, not an operating expense. The right analysis depends on your patient referral volume, session fee structure, and how HBOT integrates with your existing modalities. Call our team to talk through the numbers for your specific situation before you decide.

Who It’s Built For

Who Uses the Summit to Sea Grand Dive Pro Hyperbaric Chamber?

The Grand Dive Pro is the right first clinical chamber for practices where patient diversity, daily session volume, and stretcher access are real operational requirements.

The PT Practice or Sports Medicine Clinic

You are adding your first HBOT chamber to a working physical therapy or sports medicine practice. Your patient population includes a wide range of body types, ages, and mobility levels — you need a chamber that serves all of them without special accommodations for larger or mobility-limited patients. The Grand Dive Pro’s 46″ diameter and 96″ length handle that range. Stretcher access means post-surgical patients or those with limited ambulation are not excluded from the offering.

Physical Therapy / Sports Medicine
The Integrative Medicine Office

Your practice offers HBOT alongside other modalities — IV therapy, peptides, functional medicine protocols. Patients arrive for scheduled appointments seen by a trained technician rather than using the chamber independently. The Grand Dive Pro fits that workflow: operator-managed sessions, back-to-back scheduling, a chamber that is clinical in appearance and function. The 46″ interior projects the clinical credibility your practice’s brand requires.

Integrative Medicine
The Athlete Training Facility

You operate a professional team training facility or elite athlete recovery suite. HBOT is part of a structured recovery protocol. The Grand Dive Pro’s 2–3 person capacity allows smaller athletes to session simultaneously, or a larger athlete to session with a coach or trainer present. Daily use by a rotating athlete roster is what this chamber is built for — the dual compressor system and clinical-grade shell are specified for sustained, high-frequency operation.

Elite Athletic / High Performance
Practical Use Scenarios

What 46 Inches and 8 Feet Make Possible

These are operational configurations, not medical recommendations. What works depends on your patient population and clinical protocols.

Stretcher Transfer for Mobility-Limited Patients

The 96-inch interior length allows a standard transfer stretcher to be used for patient positioning. This is the critical difference between the Grand Dive Pro and a 90-inch personal chamber — that extra 6 inches creates workable transfer clearance for patients who cannot enter independently.

2–3 Persons — Observed or Shared Sessions

At 46 inches diameter, two average-sized adults or three smaller individuals can session simultaneously. This is also the configuration for a caregiver or therapist to accompany a patient inside during a first session — providing reassurance and monitoring without reducing patient comfort.

Back-to-Back Clinical Scheduling

The dual compressor system and clinical-grade construction support multiple back-to-back sessions daily without operational degradation. A practice running 6–8 sessions per day can do so reliably on this chamber — the capacity that makes the Grand Dive Pro a revenue-positive acquisition.

Full-Length Solo Sessions for Large-Framed Patients

At 46″ diameter, even broad-shouldered patients have meaningful clearance on all sides in a solo session. No adjusting position because of contact with the shell. This in-session comfort supports longer sessions and better patient compliance with a prescribed protocol.

Honest Take: The Grand Dive Pro is a clinical purchase, not the right choice for most home buyers. If you are an individual looking at the Pro because you want the largest chamber available for home use, call us first — the Grand Dive 40″ is almost certainly the more appropriate product for your situation. For clinics: if serving a diverse patient population with stretcher access is a priority, the Grand Dive Pro is the right entry point. If your facility expects high daily session volume with 3–4 patients and wants maximum interior dimensions, the Grand Dive Pro Plus 60″ is worth reviewing before you decide. We are happy to help you work through which model fits your specific patient caseload and room layout.

Oxygen Concentrators: Oxygen concentrators are not included, and they are not needed. The Grand Dive Pro is inflated with ambient air by the electric compressor supplied with it, and everything required to run a session ships with the chamber. That describes a separate accessory some owners choose to add, not a condition of operating this chamber. Consult your physician before considering any supplemental oxygen arrangement.

Frequently Asked Questions

Summit to Sea Grand Dive Pro Hyperbaric Chamber — Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Grand Dive Pro designed for home use or clinical use?

The Grand Dive Pro is a clinical-grade product designed primarily for professional facility use. Physical therapy practices, sports medicine clinics, integrative medicine offices, athlete training facilities, and hospital wellness departments are its primary buyers. It is not the right first purchase for most home buyers — the 46″ interior diameter and 96″ length are optimized for serving a range of patient body types, accommodating stretcher transfer, and sustaining multiple daily sessions in a professional environment. If you are an individual looking for a home chamber and want maximum space, we would encourage you to call us before purchasing the Grand Dive Pro — the Grand Dive 40″ is appropriate for most residential situations, and we can talk through which model actually fits your use case.

Can the Grand Dive Pro accommodate a stretcher and patient transfer?

Yes. The 96-inch interior length is what makes stretcher-based transfer practical with the Grand Dive Pro. Mobility-limited patients — post-surgical, musculoskeletal, or elderly — can be positioned on a transfer stretcher and slid into the chamber rather than being required to crawl in. That additional 6 inches over the Grand Dive 40″ creates the working clearance assisted transfer requires. Confirm your specific transfer equipment dimensions are compatible by calling us before purchase.

What does “Without Platform” mean — is a platform available separately?

This listing is for the Grand Dive Pro chamber system only, without a positioning or elevation platform. A platform raises the chamber to a working height that makes patient entry and assisted transfer more ergonomically practical for staff. For facilities serving mobility-limited patients or running high daily session volume, a platform is often a worthwhile addition. Contact our team to ask about current availability and room layout recommendations for your facility.

How does the Grand Dive Pro compare to harder-shell clinical chambers?

Hard-shell hyperbaric chambers used in hospital departments are Class III devices cleared for specific indications at pressures above 2.0 ATA. They require dedicated electrical, plumbing, fire suppression, and NFPA 99-compliant facility infrastructure. The Grand Dive Pro operates at 1.3 ATA on a standard 120V outlet using ambient air. It is deployable in a standard treatment room at a dramatically different cost and infrastructure point. It is not a substitute for a hard-shell unit — it serves a different patient population at a different pressure range and a different tier of clinical application. Consult your clinical compliance team when evaluating which category fits your facility.

What credentials or setup does a clinic need to operate a Summit to Sea chamber?

Requirements vary by state and practice type. Commercial clinical buyers do not need a patient-specific prescription to receive the chamber — that requirement applies to residential delivery only. For clinical operation, most facilities designate a trained staff member as chamber operator, keep the user manual on file, maintain session logs, and have a supervising physician available for oversight. We cannot provide state-specific regulatory guidance — involve your legal and clinical compliance team. The Grand Dive Pro is a Class II device, and many established PT and integrative medicine practices operate them as part of a supervised clinical offering. Call us to discuss how similar practices have approached setup in your region.

What is the lead time and delivery process for commercial orders?

Commercial orders move faster because there is no prescription step. Once confirmed, we submit to Summit to Sea within 2–3 business days. Lead time is 7–14 business days; freight transit is included at no charge. Delivery is curbside by default — the LTL carrier schedules an appointment window. Professional Setup & Assembly to a specific room is available for an additional fee. Total time from order to delivery is typically 3–5 weeks. Call our team to confirm current lead times and discuss delivery logistics for your facility.
