Your LeisureCraft sauna, plunge tub, hot tub or outdoor shower is handcrafted to order in Melancthon, Ontario and ships by insured LTL freight. Freight and all cross-border charges are included in the price — no separate shipping cost, no customs bill at the door.
Build time, not ship time. Every unit is made to order, so each product page shows an estimated build date rather than a delivery date. Transit is additional, and build dates move with production volume — peak season runs February through May. We confirm your date in writing once your order is placed.
What the carrier does. The freight company calls to schedule an appointment and delivers to the end of your driveway or the curb, usually on an 18-wheel truck. The driver will not unload your crate and will not back into your driveway. Check that a truck that size can reach your property before you order.
CRITICAL — you are responsible for unloading. Crates run 6 to 14 feet long and 800 to 1,600 pounds depending on the model, with the largest builds heavier still. If your crate is 84 inches or shorter, the carrier may have a liftgate to help lower it. Longer than that there is no liftgate, which covers most of the barrel and cabin range. You will need a forklift with extensions (crates lift from the end), a trailer to collect from the terminal, or a crew on hand. We can arrange a tilt-tow truck for $1,250 if you would rather not. Plan this before you order and we will work it out with you.
Inspect before you sign. If the crate arrives damaged, accept it, photograph everything before moving it, and write "Crate arrived open/damaged — Possible Hidden Damage" on the Bill of Lading. Then call us within 72 hours. A clean signature releases the carrier and makes a claim nearly impossible to win.
Good to know. Changing your shipping address after the unit leaves the factory costs $350 — free before it ships, so tell us early. If a delivery appointment stalls because calls go unreturned, the terminal charges $35 per day in storage. Both are manufacturer charges passed through at cost. Heaters and accessories ship separately and usually arrive sooner.

Warranty
Warranty
All products designed and manufactured by Dundalk LeisureCraft — including the Canadian Timber Collection — are covered against defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use for 5 years from the day you receive the product.
What's covered. Replacement of defective parts. Service, labor and installation costs are expressly excluded by the manufacturer, and a replacement part does not extend the original 5-year period.
What's not. Normal wear and tear, improper installation, insufficient maintenance, natural weather conditions, and failure to follow the installation and care instructions.
Heaters, stoves and chillers. These sit on LeisureCraft's separate component schedule, and LeisureCraft honors the component manufacturer's terms directly — same coverage, same duration. Electric heaters carry 3 years (elements and rocks excluded; HUUM also excludes sensors). Wood-burning stoves run 2 years to 5 years, with LeisureCraft's own Timberglow at 5, excluding the glass door, ash grate and rocks; LeisureCraft chimney kits carry 5 years with no exclusions. Chillers carry 1 to 2 years. Component coverage is parts only. We confirm the exact term for your configuration in writing before you order.
Use a licensed electrician. All electrical connections on heaters and chillers must be made by a licensed electrician, or LeisureCraft voids the component warranty. Improper installation is excluded from the 5-year sauna warranty as well.
If you've seen a 3-year figure. Some older listings and in-box manuals still show 3 years for the Canadian Timber Collection. LeisureCraft's current published policy is 5 years, and that's the coverage we confirm in writing with every order.
Residential use, and registration. The 5-year term is written for normal residential use; LeisureCraft publishes no commercial warranty. Buying for a gym, clinic, spa, hotel or rental? Call us first and we'll get the factory's position in writing. We send the manufacturer's registration link with your order confirmation — registering keeps future claims straightforward.
How to make a claim. Contact us — as your authorized dealer we handle the claim with the manufacturer for you. Email sales@recoveryroomdirect.com or call (888) 500-5675 with your order number and photos of the issue.

LeisureCraft Canadian Timber products are handcrafted for your specific order in Melancthon, Ontario. Because each unit is built to order, the manufacturer does not accept returns or exchanges — so please call us before you buy if anything is unclear. We would far rather answer questions first than have you end up with the wrong sauna.
Cancellations. Production is scheduled as soon as your order is placed. Contact us as early as you can at (888) 500-5675 — if your build hasn't started we'll do everything we can to cancel at no cost. If it has, we'll tell you plainly where you stand.
Damaged on arrival? You're covered. Transit damage is handled by replacement, not return. Accept the shipment, photograph the damage before moving anything, and write "Crate arrived open/damaged — Possible Hidden Damage" on the Bill of Lading before signing. Call us within 72 hours and the manufacturer ships replacement wood or components at no charge. Damage reported after a clean signature is very difficult to claim — this step is what protects you.
Five-year residential warranty. Products manufactured by LeisureCraft carry a limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use for five years from the day you receive them. Valid claims are resolved with replacement parts at no charge.
What it doesn't cover. The warranty is parts only — service, labour and installation are expressly excluded, and a replaced part doesn't restart the five years. It excludes normal wear and tear, improper installation, insufficient maintenance, weather damage, and failure to follow the care instructions. Cedar is a natural material: seasonal movement and colour change to silver-grey are normal and are not defects.
Two exceptions worth knowing. The warranty is written for residential use — if you're buying for a gym, clinic, spa or rental property, call us first so we can confirm your coverage in writing. And sauna heaters are not LeisureCraft-made: Harvia, HUUM and Narvi units carry their own manufacturer warranties, and we'll point you to the right terms.

Dundalk LeisureCraft outdoor showers
The Skylight is the outdoor shower you walk into: a 7 foot cedar barrel stood on end, with an acrylic dome for a roof
Most outdoor showers are a post or a panel you stand beside. The Skylight is a room: 84 inches across on LeisureCraft's drawing, 106 to the top of the dome, a single cedar door, and inside a circle 81 inches wide to divide between a shower and a washroom.
Walls and floor are western red cedar, knotty or clear, chosen at the top of this page. The roof is an acrylic dome, 23 inches tall, and it is where the light comes from. LeisureCraft says the kit goes together in 4 hours or less, and says just as plainly that it supplies no plumbing or electrical: what you run into it is your decision, and your plumber's.

Where the Skylight earns its place as a glamping washroom, cottage shower or poolside washroom, and what it is not
A glamping site, a cottage where the washroom is a long walk from the water, a pool where you do not want wet feet going through the house: the Skylight is for the place where you would otherwise run a hose to a post and hope for privacy. It is a barrel because that is how LeisureCraft builds, solid single-stave cedar pulled tight by aluminum bands, here stood on end with a door cut in and a dome on top. A pillar shower gives you water; the Skylight gives you a room. Everything we carry from the same factory is in the Dundalk LeisureCraft collection.
What it is not: it is not a plumbed bathroom in a crate. LeisureCraft's own line is that it does not provide electrical or plumbing in the washrooms; adding them is up to you. No pipe, no wiring, no drain in LeisureCraft's published material, no sink promised with the vanity. Nor is it a rinse station: for a cold shower on a garden hose, assembled, the Sierra pillar shower or the Savannah privacy-panel shower is the right buy.

The Skylight's acrylic dome, and the 81 inch room under it
Start at the top. LeisureCraft calls the roof an acrylic roof, and its drawing gives it 23 inches of height on an 84 inch body: a dome, not a cap. No window appears on the drawing or in any photograph; in LeisureCraft's interior shots you look up from the shower and see sky, so the dome is the light. LeisureCraft publishes neither its thickness nor its tint nor whether it opens, so neither do we.
Under it, the body: 83 inches of cedar from the bottom band to the top band, 84 across outside and 81 inside. A circle 81 inches wide to stand in is what separates the Skylight from every post-and-panel shower: you are inside the cedar, not beside it. The door is a single cedar leaf, 25 and a half inches wide and 62 and three quarters tall; most adults duck.
The plan view is where the two zones appear: with the optional interior walls fitted, a partition runs across the circle and leaves 38 inches for the shower and 41 for the vanity and toilet. Without it the room is one open circle; LeisureCraft's top-down photographs show it both ways. Headroom under the dome is not dimensioned.
Western red cedar, single-stave bevels and aluminum bands: what LeisureCraft builds the Skylight from
LeisureCraft names the walls and floor western red cedar, knotty or clear, from certified sustainable mills in British Columbia and Ontario. The rest it says of every barrel it makes, and we repeat it as LeisureCraft's claim.
Knotty or clear, chosen above
The wood grade is chosen at the top of this page. The price you see is the knotty build; clear cedar is the knot-free grade and is added to your order as its own line.
Solid single-stave bevels
LeisureCraft's words: crafted exclusively from premium Grade-A solid cedar, each stave one piece with no tenon joints along its length. On the Skylight the staves stand vertical, floor to top band.
Two aluminum bands
LeisureCraft makes its barrel bands in Canada from T6061 aluminum; the Skylight carries two, one at the foot and one under the dome. Tighten them after the first month with a 3/4 inch wrench, per LeisureCraft.
The red cedar body carries LeisureCraft's 5 year residential limited warranty: parts only, service, labor and installation excluded. The Separett toilet and shower hardware are on their makers' warranties.
Fitting out the Skylight: toilet, interior walls, vanity and mirror
LeisureCraft ships the Skylight as the barrel: cedar walls and floor, door, bands and dome. Four optional groups furnish it, each named as LeisureCraft names it, each chosen at the top of this page and added to your order as its own line. None is pre-selected, and none is included with the barrel.
Separett Tiny Toilet Model 1270. A self-contained urine-diverting toilet for, in the option copy LeisureCraft publishes, bunkies, tiny houses, RVs, boats and small cabins. Solids drop to a rear 14.5 liter container for composting or incineration; urine runs to a front 7.1 liter tank or out by pipe to a leach bed or gray water tank. A 1.6 W, 12 V fan vents through a 50 mm duct run out the wall, floor or roof; a 110 to 120 V adapter and a 12 V battery cable come with it, and Separett puts a 100 Ah battery at about three to four weeks.

Interior Walls for Shower and Toilet. Cedar partition panels that divide the circle into the 38 inch shower and the 41 inch washroom on LeisureCraft's plan view. LeisureCraft publishes no further description.
2 Drawer Glamping Vanity, clear coat finish. Built, in LeisureCraft's words, to last out of pine with a clear coat finish, to match the mirror. Pine, not cedar. LeisureCraft's photographs show a vessel sink and faucet on it; LeisureCraft lists neither with the vanity, so we promise neither until the factory confirms.

Shower hardware is separate again. LeisureCraft lists its Premium Shower Hardware, hot and cold, full stainless steel with a hand shower, as an accessory for the Skylight, and photographs it fitted. It is not in the crate; a plumber may be required. It is chosen at the top of this page, with LeisureCraft's cedar bottle shelf, and ships with the unit.
Why we still ask you to call
The cedar grade, the toilet, the walls, the vanity, the mirror, the shower hardware and the bottle shelf are all chosen and priced at the top of this page, so nothing waits on a quote. The call checks the rest against your site: where water comes from and goes, because LeisureCraft supplies neither and describes no drain; where the toilet's fan gets power; whether two crates at 707 and 202 lb can be unloaded at your address. LeisureCraft accepts no returns, so five minutes on (888) 500-5675 first is the cheapest insurance here.
LeisureCraft does not provide electrical or plumbing in the washrooms. Any electrical connection must be made by a licensed electrician, and LeisureCraft's warranty is void if it is not. If you fit shower hardware, drain it completely in cold temperatures: water freezing inside it causes, in LeisureCraft's words, irreparable damage.
What a week with the Skylight actually looks like
Mornings
An outdoor washroom changes where the morning happens. At a glamping site it is the difference between a tent and a booking; at a cottage it is where the lake comes off before anyone goes indoors. Inside is what you added to the order: a toilet that needs no water line, a vanity, a mirror, and a shower if you plumbed one.
Beside the sauna and the plunge
Outdoor sauna and cold plunge owners often put a shower between the two, to rinse before the cold and after the heat. The Skylight does that job with a door on it. Our outdoor saunas and cold plunges are what it stands beside.
Winter
Cedar left outside grays over a season or two; LeisureCraft's own winter image shows a Skylight gone silver on a snowy deck. What needs you is the water: drain any shower hardware completely before the first freeze, per LeisureCraft; our own advice is to empty the toilet's tanks before a hard one.
Three people who choose the Skylight over a pillar shower
The glamping host who needs a washroom, not a rinse
A pillar shower beside a tent is a rinse. A paying guest expects a door, a toilet and a mirror, and the Skylight holds all three, with a toilet that needs no water line or sewer. If your site has neither, the Separett option is the reason to look here.
The cottage with the washroom a long walk from the water
The Skylight goes where the swimming happens. It needs a level base, water to it if you want the shower, and a plan for where that water goes; the toilet needs no septic. This is the one that puts a washroom at the dock.
The poolside owner who wants a door, not a panel
The Savannah gives you a 42 inch privacy panel on a 40 inch pad; the Skylight gives you a room with a door that shuts and a dome over it. If privacy at the pool means a door, and you will arrange plumbing and two crates of freight, this is the one. If a hose and a panel are enough, buy the Savannah.

Against the two showers we carry from the same factory the comparison is not close, and is not meant to be. The Sierra is a 13 inch pillar on a 31 by 31 inch pad, the Savannah a 42 inch panel on 40 by 40, both 81 and a half inches tall, on a garden hose. The Skylight is 84 across, 106 tall, two freight crates. Want a rinse, buy a pillar. Want a room, this is the room.
What the Skylight costs to use, once it is on its base
We will not invent a cost per use, because we do not know what you paid or how you plumb it. Here is the denominator, and the two things that recur.
Divide your delivered price by 1,825 and you have its cost per day across the warranty term. What recurs is water, if you run it, and a 1.6 W fan.

LeisureCraft's weight table gives the body crate at 707 lb (320 kg) and the dome crate at 202 lb (92 kg), and says packaged weight varies with the options. It publishes no crate dimensions.

Building the Skylight
LeisureCraft's statement is that the kit is easy to assemble in 4 hours or less, the only assembly figure it publishes. It posts no Skylight manual on its product page, and we will not link the manual for a different LeisureCraft barrel shower in its place: that model is a 5 foot barrel without a dome. The instructions ship with the kit; ask us before you order and we will get you a copy from the factory. The drawing shows vertical staves between floor and top band, two bands pulling them tight, the dome seated on the top band.
Skylight delivery, and what to have ready
Freight included
Freight and all cross-border charges are in the price, curbside to the contiguous 48 states. Two crates, 707 and 202 lb. LeisureCraft flags the Skylight for equipment or hand unloading, not a liftgate: the video on its shipping tab is titled for delivery with equipment or hand unloading, and it publishes no crate dimensions, so do not count on the 84 inch liftgate threshold in our shipping policy. Plan on a forklift, a trailer to collect from the terminal, or several people. The driver will not unload.
Built to order
Nothing is stocked. Your Skylight joins the production queue in Melancthon once ordered, and we confirm the build and ship window in writing as soon as the factory schedules it.
What it sits on
An 84 inch circle, level and load bearing. LeisureCraft publishes no base specification for the Skylight, so tell us what you are setting it on, deck, pad or pavers, and we will check it with the factory. Decide where the water goes before the barrel is stood up.
Inspect before you sign
Photograph any damage and write it on the Bill of Lading before you sign, then call us within 72 hours. A clean signature makes a freight claim very hard to win. Both crates are set down at the curb.
Before the truck comes
- A level, load-bearing base the full 84 inches across
- A forklift, trailer or several people on the day
- Your plumber's plan for supply and drain; an electrician if the toilet fan runs from an outlet
A few situations add cost, such as a tilt-tow truck, an address change after the crates ship, or terminal storage; all are avoidable and all are listed on our LeisureCraft shipping policy. Because each Skylight is built for your order, LeisureCraft accepts no returns or exchanges at any point; read our return policy before ordering.
Care once it is up
Tighten the bands after the first month with a 3/4 inch wrench, per LeisureCraft. The exterior may be stained or left to gray; the interior is left natural. Wipe the cedar down after a shower and leave the door open to dry it. Drain any shower hardware completely before freezing weather.
Before you use it. Wet cedar is slippery underfoot: step in with care and keep the floor clear. All electrical work must be done by a licensed electrician. Drain the shower hardware before freezing weather and, our advice, empty the toilet before a hard freeze. The Skylight is a washroom and shower, not a sauna: there is no heater in it and none is offered.
The questions buyers actually ask about the Skylight
Does the Skylight come with plumbing, a drain or a sink?
No. LeisureCraft does not provide electrical or plumbing in the washrooms, describes no drain, and does not list the sink and faucet in its photographs with the vanity. Plan supply and drain with your plumber; we will confirm the sink question with the factory.
Do I have to buy the toilet, walls, vanity and mirror?
No. All four are optional, chosen at the top of this page, and none is pre-selected. The Skylight alone is the cedar barrel, door, bands and dome.
How does the Separett toilet work, and does it need water or power?
It uses no flush water: solids go to a rear 14.5 liter container, urine to a front 7.1 liter tank or out by pipe. Its 1.6 W fan runs from the 110 to 120 V adapter or the 12 V battery cable supplied; the outlet or battery is yours to arrange.
Is the shower hardware included?
No. LeisureCraft lists its Premium Shower Hardware, hot and cold, stainless, with a hand shower, as an accessory; a plumber may be required. Its photographs show it fitted, hence our captions. Choose it at the top of this page and it ships with the unit.
What is the dome made of, and does it open or have a tint?
LeisureCraft calls it an acrylic roof and draws it at 23 inches tall. It publishes nothing on thickness, tint or whether any part opens, so we will not guess; its photographs show it smoky and translucent.
How big is it inside, and will I hit my head on the door?
81 inches across inside and 83 inches of cedar between the bands, per the drawing; headroom under the dome is not dimensioned. The door is 62 and three quarter inches tall: most adults duck.
Knotty or clear: what is the difference?
A grade, not a species; both are western red cedar. Knotty keeps the knots and the movement in the grain; clear is the knot-free grade and costs more. LeisureCraft's interior photographs are all knotty.
Can I assemble it myself, and is there a manual?
LeisureCraft says the kit is easy to assemble in 4 hours or less, the only assembly figure it publishes. It posts no Skylight manual online; the instructions ship with the kit, and we will get you a copy from the factory before you order.
How is it delivered, and how long does it take?

What does the warranty cover, and is it valid at a glamping site or rental?
LeisureCraft's 5 year residential limited warranty covers the red cedar body, parts only; service, labor, installation, wear and weather damage are excluded, and the toilet and shower hardware carry their makers' terms.
