How does delivery work?
How does delivery work?
Free shipping to the contiguous 48 states on every Saunum heater, AirSolo and AirIQ control, and on any order above our free shipping threshold. A smaller accessory ordered below the threshold carries a flat charge, shown at checkout before you pay.
Ships from Wheeling, Illinois. We do not ship Saunum to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico.
Heaters come by freight. The Air, Air L and Air Perfect ship palletized. The carrier calls to book a window, someone has to sign, and the delivery is curbside rather than inside, so plan for two people to carry it in.
Smaller items come by parcel. The AirSolo, the AirIQ control, stones and safety rails travel by ground parcel with no appointment, and they can arrive on a different day from the heater.
Stones ship in their own boxes. 33 pounds each: 4 boxes for an Air or Air Perfect, 6 for an Air L. Stones added from a Saunum heater's page ship free with that heater.
When it ships. The estimate on each product page is the distributor's usual dispatch time for stocked items. We confirm stock with the distributor when you order, and if your model is out of stock we tell you the new date before anything ships. Working to a deadline? Ask us first.
If it arrives damaged. Note it on the delivery paperwork, photograph the carton and the contents, and report it within 48 hours of delivery, before the heater is installed. Saunum's warranty excludes transport damage. Refuse a punctured or crushed pallet and call us while the driver is there.
Not included: the electrical work. A certified electrician hardwires the heater to 240 V through the AirIQ control unit, and the AirSolo to 120 V.

Heaters: 2 years in a private sauna. The Air, Air L and Air Perfect, from your purchase date. The manual that ships with the heater gives no commercial term, so ask us before buying for a gym, spa or rental.
AutoLeil. 2 years in a private sauna, labor excluded.
AirSolo and AirIQ. 2 years in a home sauna and 1 year in a commercial or public one. The AirSolo cover includes labor and spare parts. The AirIQ cover is parts, for the first installation and the original purchaser.
Excluded on the heaters. Labor, the heating elements and the salt spheres, plus wear, transport damage, misuse, improper installation, repairs outside Saunum's repair partners, and stones or salt spheres Saunum does not recommend.
Two conditions decide every claim. A completed installation report goes in with the claim, and the product must have been connected by a qualified electrician. The report form is in the back of the manual, so keep a copy.
Delivery damage. Report it within 48 hours of delivery, with photographs and before installing, because transport damage is not a warranty matter.
Who handles it. Claims go to Saunum's US technical support at Bathing Brands, and we take them there for you. Call (888) 500-5675 with your order number, model, serial number and photographs.

30 days from purchase. On a Saunum heater, AirSolo, AirIQ control or accessory that is new, uninstalled and resalable, in the original packaging with all parts. We handle the return, so you do not contact Saunum or the distributor.
Installed means final. A heater that has been wired in, switched on or loaded with stones cannot go back, and neither can an AirIQ or AirSolo that has been wired in, or an accessory that has been fitted.
What it costs. Full credit for the product, less a repackaging fee of 20 to 50 dollars depending on the item. There is no percentage restocking fee on a standard return.
Who pays the freight. You do on a change of mind. We cover it when the cause is shipping damage or our error. We never deduct the cost of free shipping from your refund, but shipping you paid at checkout is not refunded on a change of mind return.
Damaged on arrival. Note it on the delivery receipt before signing, photograph it, and report it within 48 hours of delivery, before the product is installed.
Stones. Not returnable once a box is opened, since stone is sold by weight.
Cancelling before it ships. No fee before we send the order to the distributor. After that an administrative fee of up to 5 percent may apply, and we waive it when we are not charged ourselves.
To start a return. Call (888) 500-5675 for a Return Authorization number before anything ships back. Refunds go to the original payment method within 7 business days of the return being received and inspected.

Heater guard
Saunum Air L safety rail
The guard Saunum makes for its deeper Air L body: a bentwood birch and steel rail that clips around the stone basket of the Air L 10, Air L 13 and Air L 15.
The Air L measures 18.1 in from front to back, where the smaller Air measures 12.5 in, so it takes its own rail rather than the Saunum Air safety rail. In its warnings, the Air L manual says the stones and the heater casing can burn, and that Saunum strongly recommends a safety rail around the heater against accidental contact. The rail is listed as not part of the heater package.

How it goes on
One Saunum picture sheet covers both the Air and the Air L rail. It shows the rail opened slightly at its ends, pushed in around the basket, and the steel brackets turned over the top edge of the basket and lowered into place. Three warnings head the sheet: power off at the breaker, a heater that has cooled down, and gloves against cuts.

- The printed distances still apply with the rail on: nothing within 20 in of the bottom air outlet while the fan runs, and children kept at least 40 in away.

Saunum Air L safety rail questions buyers ask
Is the Saunum Air L safety rail the same part as the Air rail?
No. The Air L body is 18.1 in deep and the Air body 12.5 in, so the rails are shaped differently and carry different part numbers: 4745090010831 for the Air L, 4745090010657 for the Air. They share a fitting sheet, which is why the sheet is titled for both heaters.
Which Air L sizes take the Saunum Air L safety rail?
All three: the Air L 10, Air L 13 and Air L 15. They are built on the same body, 18.3 in wide and 18.1 in deep, so one rail covers them. It fits with either basket Saunum offers on the Air L, the closed black basket or the open stainless one.
Is the Saunum Air L safety rail packed with the heater?
No. The Air L manual names the safety rail, the bottom air deflector, the supply cables and the stones as elements outside the heater package. If you order the heater from us, add the rail in the buy box; otherwise order it here for an Air L you already own.
Does the Saunum Air L safety rail let me sit closer to the heater?
No. It is a guard against brushing the hot basket, not a change to Saunum's rules. Feet and other body parts stay at least 20 in from the bottom air outlet while the fan is on, and the side and front distances to wood and other combustibles stay as printed in the Air L manual.
How is the Saunum Air L safety rail shipped and covered?
By ground parcel from the distributor in Wheeling, Illinois, so it may reach you on a different day from an Air L heater, which travels by freight. Saunum's US manuals give no separate warranty term for this part, so ask us before you buy if cover matters. Our warranty policy page has the full wording.
