Shipping & Delivery
Shipping & Delivery
Your order ships free from the manufacturer's California warehouse on a strapped pallet via insured LTL freight. Orders are processed within 2 to 5 business days depending on the brand, and delivery to most addresses in the contiguous US takes 5 to 14 business days after shipment. See the brand section of our shipping policy for the times that apply to your product. You'll receive a tracking number by email as soon as your order leaves the warehouse.
Scheduling your delivery. The freight carrier will reach out before the truck rolls — most carriers call 24–48 hours ahead to lock in a four-hour delivery window. Some carriers (including R+L) send an email or text the morning of delivery instead. Respond promptly either way. If the carrier can't reach you and misses 2–3 delivery attempts, terminal storage fees kick in and the item may be returned at your expense.
What to expect at delivery. A 53-foot semi-truck arrives at your curbside. The driver uses the truck's built-in liftgate to lower the pallet to ground level — that's where their responsibility ends. Standard delivery does not include bringing the equipment inside, up stairs, or unpacking. Plan ahead: have help available to move it once it's off the truck. Someone must be present to sign for the delivery.
CRITICAL — inspect before you sign. Walk around the pallet and check every box before signing the Bill of Lading. Cosmetic damage can be accepted. If a carton is punctured or crushed, or the sauna itself is damaged, refuse that item and call us on (888) 500-5675 while the driver is still there. Note the damage on the Bill of Lading before you sign, writing exactly what you see, and ask the driver to initial it. If the driver will not initial it, note the damage anyway, sign, and photograph the Bill of Lading. Contact us within 48 hours with photos. Once the damage is documented on the Bill of Lading we can file a valid freight claim and ship a replacement at no cost to you. If you refuse for a reason other than damage, or without contacting us first, return freight costs may become your responsibility. Signing a clean BOL releases the freight carrier from all liability. Claims filed after a clean signature are routinely denied. This takes two minutes and fully protects you.
Good to know. If your address changes after the order ships, contact us immediately — carrier re-routing fees may apply and will add transit time. If your location cannot comfortably accommodate a 53-foot semi-truck (island, remote road, gated community, narrow access), contact us before ordering so we can arrange an appropriate solution.
Questions before you order? Call or text (888) 500-5675, Mon–Sat 9am–6pm EST. We coordinate every delivery ourselves.
Free freight applies to standard residential curbside delivery within the contiguous 48 US states. Hawaii, Alaska, and Canada are not available at standard checkout — contact us before ordering for a freight quote. Transit times are carrier estimates, not guarantees. Applies to all Golden Designs Inc. brands: Dynamic Saunas, Maxxus Saunas, and Dynamic Cold Therapy. View our full Shipping & Delivery policy →
Warranty
Warranty
Dynamic Cold Therapy cold plunge tubs are covered by a 1-year limited warranty from Dynamic Cold Therapy, on tubs purchased from an authorized dealer in undamaged original packaging.
What's covered. Defects in materials and workmanship: the polycarbonate insert, the wooden shell and trim, and all other components each carry 1 year. Chillers carry a 1-year manufacturer warranty. Insulated covers carry 1 year and neoprene hose covers 90 days; replacement filters are consumables with no warranty.
What's not covered. Fading or discoloration from UV exposure, damage from storage in below-freezing temperatures, corrosion or discoloration caused by lack of water maintenance, and any labor cost associated with a claim. Coverage applies to the original purchaser and is not transferable.
Keep the water balanced, and don't let it freeze. Corrosion from poor water maintenance and freeze damage are the two most common reasons a claim is declined. Ask us for the maintenance schedule — we'll send it with your order.
Keep your proof of purchase. Note that Golden Designs' 60-day registration portal covers infrared saunas only and does not apply to cold therapy products.
How to make a claim. Contact us — as your authorized dealer we handle the claim with the manufacturer for you. Email sales@recoveryroomdirect.com or call (888) 500-5675 with your order number and photos of the issue.

Return Policy
Return Policy
We stand behind every product we sell. If it's not the right fit, you have 30 days from delivery to return it — and if you need to cancel before it ships, there is no fee as long as we have not yet submitted your order to the manufacturer. After we submit it but before it ships, a 5% administrative fee may apply, and we waive it whenever we are not charged.
How to start a return. Email us your order number at sales@recoveryroomdirect.com and we'll issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number within one business day. Write that number clearly on the outside of every box before handing it to the carrier — the warehouse will not accept returns without it.
Condition required. The item must come back new, unused, and in its original packaging with all components, hardware, and accessories included. Items that have been assembled, used, or modified cannot be returned. Electronic components — power supplies, control panels, and accessories — are non-returnable under manufacturer policy regardless of condition.
What it costs to return. We want to be upfront about this: returning large freight equipment has real costs. The manufacturer charges a 20% restocking fee on all returns, and you are responsible for the return freight. If your original order shipped free, the actual outbound freight cost is also deducted from your refund. Any storage or carrier routing fees incurred during the return process are the buyer's responsibility as well. Once the item arrives at the warehouse and passes inspection, your refund is issued within 5 business days to your original payment method.
Damaged on arrival? That's a different process entirely — and you're fully protected. If you accepted the delivery and documented the damage on the Bill of Lading, we handle the freight claim and ship you a replacement at no cost. No restocking fee, no return shipping. This is exactly why we ask you to inspect carefully before you sign.
The manufacturer warranty covers defects that arise after the 30-day return window. See full warranty terms at goldendesigninc.com. We're here Mon–Sat, 9am–6pm EST. Applies to all Golden Designs Inc. brands: Dynamic Saunas, Maxxus Saunas, and Dynamic Cold Therapy. View our full Return Policy →

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Stainless Steel Cold Plunge Tub Built for Serious Practitioners
Forty-eight and a half inches of 304 nano-coated stainless steel. Pacific Cedar trim. A child-safe insulated cover. Chiller-ready 3/4" ports. The Cuboid XL is the most complete stainless steel cold plunge tub in the DCT lineup — engineered for practitioners who treat cold therapy as infrastructure, not an experiment.
Shop Pay installments, powered by Affirm, available at checkout — spread the investment over time. Free freight delivery included.
Let’s Be Direct About What You’re Buying
The Cuboid XL is the most substantial stainless steel cold plunge tub in the DCT lineup. We want you to buy the right tub, not just a tub — so here’s the honest version.
If you’re 5’8” or shorter, the Cuboid Standard will immerse you just as effectively for less. The XL exists for one measurable reason: five additional inches of interior length (48.5” vs. 43.5”). That difference matters for taller athletes, larger frames, and anyone who has ever felt their legs cramped at the waterline during a standard-size plunge.
If that describes you, the XL is the right call. If it doesn’t, we’ll tell you. Either way, you get the same 304 nano-coated steel, Pacific Cedar trim, chiller-ready ports, insulated cover, and cedar step. The only variable is how much room you need to stretch out.
304 Nano-Coated Stainless Steel — The Material That Determines Year Five
Most cold plunge vessels degrade under the combination of low temperatures, mineral-rich water, and daily use. The Cuboid XL is built around the same alloy grade used in commercial food processing — a deliberate engineering choice whose impact compounds over years, not months.
Interior and exterior cabinet are both 304 SS with a nano-coating that forms a passive chromium oxide barrier. No liner to degrade, no plastic to crack, no surface to stain. The same alloy used in commercial food processing for its non-reactive, non-porous surface properties.
Pacific Cedar is naturally antimicrobial, moisture-resistant, and dimensionally stable in wet outdoor environments — properties synthetic materials approximate but can’t sustain long-term. The cedar trim adds structural rigidity to the stainless cabinet while aging gracefully exposed to the elements.
Standard 3/4” IN/OUT fittings connect directly to both DCT 0.8HP and 1.0HP WiFi chiller units — no adapters, no proprietary connectors. Gravity drain and manual fill work without a chiller for ice-over-water sessions.
Everything You Need to Plunge Tomorrow
The Cuboid XL ships as a functional cold therapy system — not a tub that requires follow-up purchases before you can use it safely.
4” Insulated Cover (Included)
The custom cover maintains water temperature between sessions — which matters most when you’re running a chiller that’s actively holding a target temp. Child safety latches prevent unsupervised access. A replacement cover is also available separately in our store if needed.
Compatible with the DCT Chiller Ecosystem
The 0.8HP WiFi Chiller handles residential cold therapy protocols with consistent temperature control. The 1.0HP model handles higher-volume use — commercial applications, multi-user sessions, or environments where the tub cycles heavily. Both connect directly to the 3/4” ports. Select a With Premier Chiller option above to order the tub and chiller together as one system, or call (888) 500-5675 for a recommendation based on your use case.
Pacific Cedar Step Stool (Included)
Safe, repeatable entry and exit matters more than it sounds — particularly on the way out, when vascular and neurological responses are actively shifting. The included cedar step provides the correct ergonomic height without improvising with furniture.
Add the Premier Chiller — One Complete Cold Plunge System
Choose a With Premier Chiller configuration above and your Cuboid XL ships as a complete system — tub and DCT’s Premier Edition Chiller & Heater together, connected in minutes with the included quick-connect hoses.
37°F Cold to 85°F Warm — One Unit
The Premier Edition both chills and heats, with temperature adjustability from 37°F to 85°F. Control it from the splash-proof digital touchscreen or remotely through the Tuya Smart WiFi app — set your target before you leave the gym and step into ready water.
0.8 HP or 1.0 HP — Sized to Your Routine
The 0.8 HP unit handles plunges up to 135 gallons, pulling water down 1–3°F every 30 minutes — a solid match for the Cuboid XL’s ~150-gallon capacity at daily residential use. The 1.0 HP steps up to 150 gallons at 1–3°F every 20 minutes (both depending on ambient temperature and water volume) — the right call for the XL’s larger volume, hot climates, garage installs, or back-to-back commercial sessions.
Clean Water, Automatically
Two-stage filtration with replaceable 20-micron filters, an automated natural ozone sanitation system, and a built-in strainer keep water clear between full changes. Every Premier runs on a standard 120V outlet with built-in GFCI, is rated for indoor and covered outdoor use, and carries a 1-year warranty with lifetime product support.
Prefer to source a chiller separately or use ice? Tub Only ships chiller-ready with capped 3/4” ports — you can add a chiller at any time.
Three Ways Serious Practitioners Use the Cuboid XL
Cold immersion’s effectiveness is tied directly to consistency and protocol design. Here’s how the Cuboid XL fits into a structured recovery week.
A 2–4 minute immersion before caffeine. Research on cold water immersion suggests it may support norepinephrine and cortisol awakening responses — the neurochemical equivalent of clearing the fog before the day starts. Many practitioners describe this as the session that replaced their first coffee within two weeks of daily use.
Target: 50–55°F. Duration: 2–4 min. Breathe slowly — the urge to gasp is the threshold you’re training through.
The 48.5” interior is particularly relevant here. Full-leg immersion covers the lower extremities where micro-tears, systemic inflammation, and neural fatigue accumulate after heavy training. Research suggests cold immersion may support recovery between sessions by modulating the acute inflammatory response.
Target: 45–55°F. Duration: 10–15 min. Wait 30–60 min post-lift if maximizing hypertrophy adaptation is the primary goal.
A 5–7 minute immersion 90 minutes before sleep accelerates the core body temperature drop that precedes deep sleep onset. Research on thermoregulation and sleep architecture suggests cold exposure in the early evening may support sleep quality without disrupting circadian rhythm.
Target: 55–60°F (slightly warmer for sleep priming). Shorter session — you’re winding down, not training the nervous system.
Who the Cuboid XL Is Built For
Three buyer profiles who consistently find the XL’s additional interior length worth the step up from the Standard.
You’re 6’0” or taller, training four to five days a week, and a standard-size plunge leaves your knees bent or your calves above the waterline. The XL gives you full-leg immersion — which is where lower-body recovery actually happens. You need this at home because driving to a recovery facility after a hard session isn’t something you’re going to do consistently.
You’ve done the research on norepinephrine and catecholamine response. You treat your morning plunge the way others treat their espresso machine. You want food-grade stainless steel you can trust, a chiller that lets you dial exact temperatures, and a setup that requires zero mental overhead to maintain. The Cuboid XL with a DCT WiFi chiller is that system.
Stainless steel is the correct material for commercial cold therapy applications — it can be sanitized with hospital-grade protocols without degrading the interior surface. The Cuboid XL’s 150-gallon capacity supports multi-user sessions, and 304-grade steel holds up under the cleaning cycles that plastic liners don’t. For commercial build-outs, call (888) 500-5675.
The Math on Owning vs. Going Out
Cold plunge studios typically charge $25–$50 per session — cryotherapy runs higher. Here’s what the Cuboid XL costs per use when treated as the daily infrastructure it is.
Shop Pay installments, powered by Affirm, are available at checkout to spread the investment over time.

Three tubs. Same DCT engineering philosophy. Different interior materials and interior lengths. Here’s how to find the right fit before you order.
Pacific Cedar exterior with a PVC interior. Same exterior dimensions as the Standard. The entry point for buyers whose primary goal is cold immersion, not material longevity or hygiene intensity.
Best for: Budget-conscious buyers, lighter use frequency, indoor placement
View Cuboid Plastic304 nano-coated stainless steel interior and exterior. 43.5” interior length. The right choice for buyers 5’8” and under who want full stainless durability without the XL footprint — at a lower price point.
Best for: Most buyers, moderate height, residential daily use
View Cuboid Standard SS304 nano-coated stainless steel throughout. 48.5” interior — five inches longer than the Standard. For taller athletes, commercial use, or buyers who require full-leg immersion without compromise.
Best for: Buyers 5’9”+, commercial protocols, complete lower-body immersion

Shipping & Delivery
The Cuboid XL ships via freight carrier with free curbside delivery included. Estimated transit: 5–10 business days after dispatch. You will receive tracking information by email when your order ships. Curbside delivery means the carrier places the pallet at your curb or driveway — not inside your home.
White Glove delivery — threshold placement, inside delivery, or room-of-choice setup — is a flat $349 paid upgrade. Given the 200 lb dry weight, plan your placement route before delivery day. To discuss White Glove options, call (888) 500-5675.
Filled weight is approximately 1,450 lbs (~150 gallons of water + 200 lb tub). Concrete slabs, reinforced patios, and ground-level floors handle this load routinely. Elevated decks or upper-story placement should be confirmed with a contractor before ordering. Questions? Call (888) 500-5675.
The Cuboid XL arrives fully assembled — no construction required. Chiller connections use standard 3/4” hose fittings. Fill with a garden hose. Drain via the 3/4” OUT port into an appropriate outdoor area or floor drain.
DCT Cuboid XL — Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a chiller, or can I use ice in the Cuboid XL?
You can use either. The Cuboid XL’s 3/4” ports are designed for chiller connectivity, but the tub also supports ice-over-water sessions without a chiller — fill with cold water and add ice to reach your target temperature. A chiller provides consistent automated temperature control across sessions without ice management. The DCT 0.8HP WiFi Chiller handles most residential protocols. The 1.0HP handles higher-volume or commercial use. Select a With Premier Chiller option above to add either one to this order as a complete system, or call (888) 500-5675 for a recommendation based on your use case.
Can I order the Cuboid XL with a chiller included?
Yes — select a With Premier Chiller configuration and your order ships as a complete system: the tub plus DCT’s Premier Edition Chiller & Heater in your choice of 0.8 HP (handles plunges up to 135 gallons, pulling water down 1–3°F every 30 minutes) or 1.0 HP (up to 150 gallons, 1–3°F every 20 minutes, depending on ambient temperature and water volume). The Premier runs on a standard 120V outlet with built-in GFCI, connects through the included quick-connect hoses, and is controlled from its splash-proof touchscreen or the Tuya Smart WiFi app. Tub Only orders ship chiller-ready with capped 3/4” ports, so you can also add a chiller later.
What is the difference between the Cuboid XL and the Cuboid Standard?
Both use 304 nano-coated stainless steel interior and exterior, Pacific Cedar trim, 3/4” chiller ports, an insulated cover, and a cedar step stool. The only functional difference is size: the XL has a 55” exterior (48.5” interior) vs. the Standard’s 50” exterior (43.5” interior). Five more inches of interior immersion length — meaningful for buyers 5’9” and taller, and not worth the extra cost for buyers who don’t need it.
What temperature can the Cuboid XL reach?
The tub itself doesn’t generate temperature — that’s the chiller’s function. The DCT 0.8HP and 1.0HP WiFi chillers cool water into cold therapy ranges suitable for immersion protocols (consult each chiller’s spec sheet for exact minimum temperatures). With ice alone, water temperature depends on ambient conditions, ice quantity, and session frequency. For precise, consistent temperature control without daily ice management, a DCT chiller is the practical solution.
Is the Cuboid XL suitable for outdoor year-round use?
Yes. The 304 nano-coated stainless exterior and Pacific Cedar trim are both engineered for outdoor durability. In freezing climates, drain the tub if ambient temperatures will fall below 32°F and a chiller isn’t actively running — standing water in the lines can freeze and cause damage. Call us at (888) 500-5675 for winterization guidance specific to your region.
What surface can I put the Cuboid XL on?
Filled weight is approximately 1,450 lbs (~150 gallons plus the 200 lb tub). Concrete slabs, reinforced patios, and ground-level floors with standard load ratings handle this without issue. Elevated wood decks should be assessed by a contractor before placement — the filled weight may exceed the deck’s designed load rating. Upper-story placement requires a structural assessment. We can walk through your specific setup: (888) 500-5675.
Is the insulated cover included, or is it sold separately?
The 4” insulated cover with child safety latches ships with the Cuboid XL — it is included. The separately listed Cuboid XL cover in our store is a replacement unit for buyers who need a spare or a replacement after extended use. You do not need to purchase an additional cover when ordering the XL.
Can the Cuboid XL be used as part of a medical or physical therapy program?
The Cuboid XL is a wellness device, not a medical device — it is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Many buyers use it to complement, not replace, clinical care during recovery phases. If you are under the care of a physician or physical therapist, discuss how cold water immersion fits into your protocol before use. Certain cardiovascular conditions, Raynaud’s syndrome, and open wounds contraindicate cold immersion — consult a qualified healthcare professional before beginning any cold therapy protocol.
Is Shop Pay financing available for the Cuboid XL?
Yes. Shop Pay installments, powered by Affirm, are available at checkout — allowing you to split your purchase into manageable payments. Terms and approval are determined at checkout. Cold plunge tubs are listed as eligible for HSA or FSA reimbursement with a Letter of Medical Necessity and a prescription. We do not accept HSA or FSA cards at checkout — you pay with an ordinary card and claim the amount back from your plan administrator. Eligibility is determined individually.
