Shipping & Delivery
Shipping & Delivery
Your order ships free from the manufacturer's California warehouse on a strapped pallet via insured LTL freight. Orders are processed within 2 to 5 business days depending on the brand, and delivery to most addresses in the contiguous US takes 5 to 14 business days after shipment. See the brand section of our shipping policy for the times that apply to your product. You'll receive a tracking number by email as soon as your order leaves the warehouse.
Scheduling your delivery. The freight carrier will reach out before the truck rolls — most carriers call 24–48 hours ahead to lock in a four-hour delivery window. Some carriers (including R+L) send an email or text the morning of delivery instead. Respond promptly either way. If the carrier can't reach you and misses 2–3 delivery attempts, terminal storage fees kick in and the item may be returned at your expense.
What to expect at delivery. A 53-foot semi-truck arrives at your curbside. The driver uses the truck's built-in liftgate to lower the pallet to ground level — that's where their responsibility ends. Standard delivery does not include bringing the equipment inside, up stairs, or unpacking. Plan ahead: have help available to move it once it's off the truck. Someone must be present to sign for the delivery.
CRITICAL — inspect before you sign. Walk around the pallet and check every box before signing the Bill of Lading. Cosmetic damage can be accepted. If a carton is punctured or crushed, or the sauna itself is damaged, refuse that item and call us on (888) 500-5675 while the driver is still there. Note the damage on the Bill of Lading before you sign, writing exactly what you see, and ask the driver to initial it. If the driver will not initial it, note the damage anyway, sign, and photograph the Bill of Lading. Contact us within 48 hours with photos. Once the damage is documented on the Bill of Lading we can file a valid freight claim and ship a replacement at no cost to you. If you refuse for a reason other than damage, or without contacting us first, return freight costs may become your responsibility. Signing a clean BOL releases the freight carrier from all liability. Claims filed after a clean signature are routinely denied. This takes two minutes and fully protects you.
Good to know. If your address changes after the order ships, contact us immediately — carrier re-routing fees may apply and will add transit time. If your location cannot comfortably accommodate a 53-foot semi-truck (island, remote road, gated community, narrow access), contact us before ordering so we can arrange an appropriate solution.
Questions before you order? Call or text (888) 500-5675, Mon–Sat 9am–6pm EST. We coordinate every delivery ourselves.
Free freight applies to standard residential curbside delivery within the contiguous 48 US states. Hawaii, Alaska, and Canada are not available at standard checkout — contact us before ordering for a freight quote. Transit times are carrier estimates, not guarantees. Applies to all Golden Designs Inc. brands: Dynamic Saunas, Maxxus Saunas, and Dynamic Cold Therapy. View our full Shipping & Delivery policy →
Warranty
Warranty
Dynamic Cold Therapy cold plunge tubs are covered by a 1-year limited warranty from Dynamic Cold Therapy, on tubs purchased from an authorized dealer in undamaged original packaging.
What's covered. Defects in materials and workmanship: the polycarbonate insert, the wooden shell and trim, and all other components each carry 1 year. Chillers carry a 1-year manufacturer warranty. Insulated covers carry 1 year and neoprene hose covers 90 days; replacement filters are consumables with no warranty.
What's not covered. Fading or discoloration from UV exposure, damage from storage in below-freezing temperatures, corrosion or discoloration caused by lack of water maintenance, and any labor cost associated with a claim. Coverage applies to the original purchaser and is not transferable.
Keep the water balanced, and don't let it freeze. Corrosion from poor water maintenance and freeze damage are the two most common reasons a claim is declined. Ask us for the maintenance schedule — we'll send it with your order.
Keep your proof of purchase. Note that Golden Designs' 60-day registration portal covers infrared saunas only and does not apply to cold therapy products.
How to make a claim. Contact us — as your authorized dealer we handle the claim with the manufacturer for you. Email sales@recoveryroomdirect.com or call (888) 500-5675 with your order number and photos of the issue.

Return Policy
Return Policy
We stand behind every product we sell. If it's not the right fit, you have 30 days from delivery to return it — and if you need to cancel before it ships, there is no fee as long as we have not yet submitted your order to the manufacturer. After we submit it but before it ships, a 5% administrative fee may apply, and we waive it whenever we are not charged.
How to start a return. Email us your order number at sales@recoveryroomdirect.com and we'll issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number within one business day. Write that number clearly on the outside of every box before handing it to the carrier — the warehouse will not accept returns without it.
Condition required. The item must come back new, unused, and in its original packaging with all components, hardware, and accessories included. Items that have been assembled, used, or modified cannot be returned. Electronic components — power supplies, control panels, and accessories — are non-returnable under manufacturer policy regardless of condition.
What it costs to return. We want to be upfront about this: returning large freight equipment has real costs. The manufacturer charges a 20% restocking fee on all returns, and you are responsible for the return freight. If your original order shipped free, the actual outbound freight cost is also deducted from your refund. Any storage or carrier routing fees incurred during the return process are the buyer's responsibility as well. Once the item arrives at the warehouse and passes inspection, your refund is issued within 5 business days to your original payment method.
Damaged on arrival? That's a different process entirely — and you're fully protected. If you accepted the delivery and documented the damage on the Bill of Lading, we handle the freight claim and ship you a replacement at no cost. No restocking fee, no return shipping. This is exactly why we ask you to inspect carefully before you sign.
The manufacturer warranty covers defects that arise after the 30-day return window. See full warranty terms at goldendesigninc.com. We're here Mon–Sat, 9am–6pm EST. Applies to all Golden Designs Inc. brands: Dynamic Saunas, Maxxus Saunas, and Dynamic Cold Therapy. View our full Return Policy →

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Cold Plunge Tub That Gets You Started Right — in Green or Grey
The entry point to the DCT Cuboid line. Same 304 stainless steel exterior cabinet. Same Pacific Cedar trim. Same chiller-ready 3/4" ports. A PVC interior keeps this the most accessible tub in the lineup while everything you see from the outside stays premium — and it ships in your choice of Green or Grey.
Shop Pay installments, powered by Affirm, available at checkout — spread the investment over time. Free freight delivery included.
A Straightforward Look at What You’re Getting
The Cuboid Plastic is the most accessible point of entry into the DCT cold plunge lineup. Here’s the honest comparison you need before deciding.
The interior immersion surface is PVC — not stainless steel. The exterior cabinet and frame remain 304 stainless steel and Pacific Cedar, so the tub looks and feels premium from the outside. The trade-off: PVC holds up well under moderate use, but it is not as easily sanitized as bare 304 stainless and will show wear sooner under intensive daily use protocols.
If you’re committed to daily cold therapy for years and want the most durable interior, the Cuboid Standard 304 SS is worth the step up. If you want a functional, good-looking cold plunge to start your practice — or you’re drawn to the Green or Grey color options — this is a solid choice at a honest price.
Premium Where It Shows — Practical Where It Counts
The Cuboid Plastic shares its exterior construction with the stainless models. What changes is the interior immersion surface — and understanding that distinction helps you buy the right tub for your use case.
The outer cabinet is the same 304 stainless steel used on the Standard and XL models — weather-resistant, corrosion-resistant, and designed for outdoor placement. The interior immersion surface is PVC, which keeps the price point accessible while maintaining a premium exterior appearance.
Pacific Cedar trim runs the full exterior — the same moisture-resistant, naturally antimicrobial wood used on the Standard and XL. It adds structural support to the cabinet and weathers gracefully in outdoor environments without needing treatment.
The same 3/4” IN/OUT port system as the stainless models. Compatible with both DCT 0.8HP and 1.0HP WiFi chillers without adapters. Also supports ice-over-water sessions without a chiller — gravity fill and drain work independently.
Ready to Plunge on Day One
The Cuboid ships with the accessories needed for safe, immediate use — no follow-up purchases required before your first session.
4” Insulated Cover (Included)
The custom insulated cover fits the Cuboid’s 50” exterior and includes child safety latches. It maintains water temperature between sessions — which matters most when running a chiller — and prevents unsupervised access. A replacement cover is available separately in our store if needed.
Compatible with the DCT Chiller Ecosystem
The 0.8HP WiFi Chiller provides consistent automated temperature control for daily residential use. The 1.0HP handles higher throughput. Both connect directly to the 3/4” ports. Select a With Premier Chiller option above to order the tub and chiller together as one system, or call (888) 500-5675 for a recommendation based on your protocol.
Pacific Cedar Step Stool (Included)
Entry and exit from a cold plunge tub are more demanding than they look — especially on the way out when your body is actively responding to the temperature change. The included cedar step provides the right ergonomic height for a safe, repeatable process.
Add the Premier Chiller — One Complete Cold Plunge System
Choose a With Premier Chiller configuration above and your Cuboid Plastic ships as a complete system — tub and DCT’s Premier Edition Chiller & Heater together, connected in minutes with the included quick-connect hoses.
37°F Cold to 85°F Warm — One Unit
The Premier Edition both chills and heats, with temperature adjustability from 37°F to 85°F. Control it from the splash-proof digital touchscreen or remotely through the Tuya Smart WiFi app — set your target before you leave the gym and step into ready water.
0.8 HP or 1.0 HP — Sized to Your Routine
The 0.8 HP unit handles plunges up to 135 gallons, pulling water down 1–3°F every 30 minutes — well matched to the Cuboid Plastic’s ~120-gallon capacity for daily residential use. The 1.0 HP steps up to 150 gallons at 1–3°F every 20 minutes (both depending on ambient temperature and water volume) — the right call for hot climates, garage installs, or back-to-back sessions.
Clean Water, Automatically
Two-stage filtration with replaceable 20-micron filters, an automated natural ozone sanitation system, and a built-in strainer keep water clear between full changes. Every Premier runs on a standard 120V outlet with built-in GFCI, is rated for indoor and covered outdoor use, and carries a 1-year warranty with lifetime product support.
Prefer to source a chiller separately or use ice? Tub Only ships chiller-ready with capped 3/4” ports — you can add a chiller at any time.
Building a Cold Therapy Habit That Sticks
The Cuboid is designed for consistent, daily use. Here are three protocols that fit naturally into a structured recovery week.
A 2–4 minute immersion before caffeine. Research on cold water immersion suggests it may support norepinephrine and cortisol awakening responses, helping to establish mental clarity early in the day. This is often the session that turns cold therapy from a habit into a non-negotiable.
Target: 50–55°F. Duration: 2–4 min. Control your breathing — the cold shock response is what you’re training through.
A 10–15 minute immersion after training. The 43.5” interior covers full immersion for buyers up to 5’8”, reaching the lower extremities where micro-tears, systemic inflammation, and neural fatigue accumulate after heavy sessions. Research suggests cold immersion may support recovery between training days by modulating the acute inflammatory response.
Target: 45–55°F. If hypertrophy is the goal, wait 30–60 min post-lift before plunging.
A 5–7 minute session 90 minutes before sleep may support the core body temperature drop that precedes deep sleep onset. Research on thermoregulation and sleep architecture suggests this may improve sleep quality without disrupting circadian rhythm.
Target: 55–60°F. Slightly warmer than morning — you’re winding down the nervous system, not activating it.
Who the Cuboid Plastic Is the Right Fit For
Three buyer profiles where this model is the practical, honest choice.
You’ve decided to start cold therapy. You want a real plunge tub — not a chest freezer workaround — but you’re not ready to spend more on stainless before you know how your body responds and how consistently you’ll actually use it. The Cuboid gives you a proper cold plunge setup at the lowest price point in the DCT lineup. If daily cold therapy becomes a locked-in habit, you can always step up to stainless later.
You’re designing a backyard recovery space and the color of your cold plunge tub matters to you. The stainless models only come in one look. The Cuboid Plastic ships in Green or Grey — letting you match your outdoor aesthetic, whether that’s a lush garden setup where the green blends naturally, or a clean modern concrete patio where the grey reads as intentional design. Cold therapy works equally well in either finish.
You’ve priced out cold plunge studios at $25–$50 per session and the math on ownership is clear. You want a purpose-built cold plunge — not a DIY solution — at the lowest price that still includes a cover, a step, chiller-ready ports, and a one-year warranty. That’s this tub. Questions about what you’re getting on this tub vs. the Standard SS? Call us at (888) 500-5675 — we’ll give you a straight answer.

DCT Cuboid Plastic — Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the Cuboid Plastic and the Cuboid Standard 304 SS?
Both models have the same exterior dimensions (50” L × 30” W × 31.5” H), the same 304 stainless steel exterior cabinet, Pacific Cedar trim, 3/4” chiller ports, insulated cover, and cedar step stool. The difference is the interior immersion surface: the Plastic uses PVC; the Standard uses 304 nano-coated stainless steel. The Plastic costs less and comes in Green or Grey. The Cuboid Standard SS has a more durable interior that is easier to sanitize to a high standard under intensive daily use.
How do I specify Green or Grey when ordering?
Leave a note in the order comments at checkout with your color preference, or call us at (888) 500-5675 before placing your order. Color availability is subject to current stock — we will confirm your preference and availability before the order ships. Both colors are identical in specifications and price.
Do I need a chiller, or can I use ice in the Cuboid Plastic?
You can use either. The 3/4” IN/OUT ports support direct chiller connectivity, but the tub also works perfectly with ice-over-water sessions — fill with cold water and add ice to reach your target temperature. A chiller provides consistent automated temperature control without daily ice management. The DCT 0.8HP WiFi Chiller handles most residential protocols; the 1.0HP handles higher-volume use. Select a With Premier Chiller option above to add either one to this order as a complete system, or call (888) 500-5675 for a recommendation.
Can I order the Cuboid Plastic with a chiller included?
Yes — select a With Premier Chiller configuration and your order ships as a complete system: the tub plus DCT’s Premier Edition Chiller & Heater in your choice of 0.8 HP (plunges up to 135 gallons, 1–3°F every 30 minutes) or 1.0 HP (up to 150 gallons, 1–3°F every 20 minutes, depending on ambient temperature and water volume). The Premier runs on a standard 120V outlet with built-in GFCI, connects through the included quick-connect hoses, and is controlled from its splash-proof touchscreen or the Tuya Smart app. Tub Only orders are chiller-ready, so you can also add a chiller later.
Is the PVC interior durable enough for daily cold therapy?
PVC is a proven, food-safe material that holds up well under regular cold water immersion. It performs reliably for buyers who use the tub three to five times per week and follow standard cleaning protocols. Where PVC falls short compared to 304 stainless is under intensive daily use with aggressive sanitization cycles — over years, a PVC interior will show wear sooner than bare stainless. If daily use with rigorous hygiene standards is your plan from day one, the Cuboid Standard SS is the more durable long-term investment.
Is the insulated cover included, or is it sold separately?
The 4” insulated cover with child safety latches ships with the Cuboid — it is included at no additional cost. The separately listed cover in our store is a replacement unit. You do not need to purchase a cover when ordering the Cuboid Plastic.
Is the Cuboid Plastic suitable for outdoor year-round use?
Yes. The 304 stainless exterior cabinet and Pacific Cedar trim are designed for outdoor durability. The PVC interior is also weather-resistant. In climates with temperatures below 32°F, drain the tub if no chiller is running — standing water in the lines can freeze and cause damage. Call (888) 500-5675 for winterization guidance specific to your region.
Can the Cuboid Plastic be used alongside a medical or physical therapy program?
The Cuboid Plastic is a wellness device, not a medical device. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Many buyers use it alongside — not instead of — clinical care during recovery phases. If you are under the care of a physician or physical therapist, discuss how cold water immersion fits your protocol before starting. Certain cardiovascular conditions, Raynaud’s syndrome, and open wounds contraindicate cold immersion — consult a qualified healthcare professional before beginning any cold therapy protocol.
Is Shop Pay financing available for the Cuboid Plastic?
Yes. Shop Pay installments, powered by Affirm, are available at checkout — allowing you to split your purchase into manageable payments. Terms and approval are determined at checkout. Cold plunge tubs are listed as eligible for HSA or FSA reimbursement with a Letter of Medical Necessity and a prescription. We do not accept HSA or FSA cards at checkout — you pay with an ordinary card and claim the amount back from your plan administrator. Eligibility is determined individually. See how HSA and FSA reimbursement works here.
