Shipping & Delivery
Shipping & Delivery
Your order ships free from the manufacturer's California warehouse on a strapped pallet via insured LTL freight. Orders are processed within 2 to 5 business days depending on the brand, and delivery to most addresses in the contiguous US takes 5 to 14 business days after shipment. See the brand section of our shipping policy for the times that apply to your product. You'll receive a tracking number by email as soon as your order leaves the warehouse.
Scheduling your delivery. The freight carrier will reach out before the truck rolls — most carriers call 24–48 hours ahead to lock in a four-hour delivery window. Some carriers (including R+L) send an email or text the morning of delivery instead. Respond promptly either way. If the carrier can't reach you and misses 2–3 delivery attempts, terminal storage fees kick in and the item may be returned at your expense.
What to expect at delivery. A 53-foot semi-truck arrives at your curbside. The driver uses the truck's built-in liftgate to lower the pallet to ground level — that's where their responsibility ends. Standard delivery does not include bringing the equipment inside, up stairs, or unpacking. Plan ahead: have help available to move it once it's off the truck. Someone must be present to sign for the delivery.
CRITICAL — inspect before you sign. Walk around the pallet and check every box before signing the Bill of Lading. Cosmetic damage can be accepted. If a carton is punctured or crushed, or the sauna itself is damaged, refuse that item and call us on (888) 500-5675 while the driver is still there. Note the damage on the Bill of Lading before you sign, writing exactly what you see, and ask the driver to initial it. If the driver will not initial it, note the damage anyway, sign, and photograph the Bill of Lading. Contact us within 48 hours with photos. Once the damage is documented on the Bill of Lading we can file a valid freight claim and ship a replacement at no cost to you. If you refuse for a reason other than damage, or without contacting us first, return freight costs may become your responsibility. Signing a clean BOL releases the freight carrier from all liability. Claims filed after a clean signature are routinely denied. This takes two minutes and fully protects you.
Good to know. If your address changes after the order ships, contact us immediately — carrier re-routing fees may apply and will add transit time. If your location cannot comfortably accommodate a 53-foot semi-truck (island, remote road, gated community, narrow access), contact us before ordering so we can arrange an appropriate solution.
Questions before you order? Call or text (888) 500-5675, Mon–Sat 9am–6pm EST. We coordinate every delivery ourselves.
Free freight applies to standard residential curbside delivery within the contiguous 48 US states. Hawaii, Alaska, and Canada are not available at standard checkout — contact us before ordering for a freight quote. Transit times are carrier estimates, not guarantees. Applies to all Golden Designs Inc. brands: Dynamic Saunas, Maxxus Saunas, and Dynamic Cold Therapy. View our full Shipping & Delivery policy →
Warranty
Warranty
Dynamic Cold Therapy cold plunge tubs are covered by a 1-year limited warranty from Dynamic Cold Therapy, on tubs purchased from an authorized dealer in undamaged original packaging.
What's covered. Defects in materials and workmanship: the polycarbonate insert, the wooden shell and trim, and all other components each carry 1 year. Chillers carry a 1-year manufacturer warranty. Insulated covers carry 1 year and neoprene hose covers 90 days; replacement filters are consumables with no warranty.
What's not covered. Fading or discoloration from UV exposure, damage from storage in below-freezing temperatures, corrosion or discoloration caused by lack of water maintenance, and any labor cost associated with a claim. Coverage applies to the original purchaser and is not transferable.
Keep the water balanced, and don't let it freeze. Corrosion from poor water maintenance and freeze damage are the two most common reasons a claim is declined. Ask us for the maintenance schedule — we'll send it with your order.
Keep your proof of purchase. Note that Golden Designs' 60-day registration portal covers infrared saunas only and does not apply to cold therapy products.
How to make a claim. Contact us — as your authorized dealer we handle the claim with the manufacturer for you. Email sales@recoveryroomdirect.com or call (888) 500-5675 with your order number and photos of the issue.

Return Policy
Return Policy
We stand behind every product we sell. If it's not the right fit, you have 30 days from delivery to return it — and if you need to cancel before it ships, there is no fee as long as we have not yet submitted your order to the manufacturer. After we submit it but before it ships, a 5% administrative fee may apply, and we waive it whenever we are not charged.
How to start a return. Email us your order number at sales@recoveryroomdirect.com and we'll issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number within one business day. Write that number clearly on the outside of every box before handing it to the carrier — the warehouse will not accept returns without it.
Condition required. The item must come back new, unused, and in its original packaging with all components, hardware, and accessories included. Items that have been assembled, used, or modified cannot be returned. Electronic components — power supplies, control panels, and accessories — are non-returnable under manufacturer policy regardless of condition.
What it costs to return. We want to be upfront about this: returning large freight equipment has real costs. The manufacturer charges a 20% restocking fee on all returns, and you are responsible for the return freight. If your original order shipped free, the actual outbound freight cost is also deducted from your refund. Any storage or carrier routing fees incurred during the return process are the buyer's responsibility as well. Once the item arrives at the warehouse and passes inspection, your refund is issued within 5 business days to your original payment method.
Damaged on arrival? That's a different process entirely — and you're fully protected. If you accepted the delivery and documented the damage on the Bill of Lading, we handle the freight claim and ship you a replacement at no cost. No restocking fee, no return shipping. This is exactly why we ask you to inspect carefully before you sign.
The manufacturer warranty covers defects that arise after the 30-day return window. See full warranty terms at goldendesigninc.com. We're here Mon–Sat, 9am–6pm EST. Applies to all Golden Designs Inc. brands: Dynamic Saunas, Maxxus Saunas, and Dynamic Cold Therapy. View our full Return Policy →

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The 304 Stainless Steel Cold Plunge Tub That Fits Most Buyers Perfectly
For buyers up to 5’8”, this is the right tub. Same 304 nano-coated stainless steel as the XL. Same Pacific Cedar trim. Same chiller-ready 3/4" ports. The Cuboid Standard delivers the full 304 stainless steel cold plunge experience without paying for five inches of interior length you may not need.
Shop Pay installments, powered by Affirm, available at checkout — spread the investment over time. Free freight delivery included.
The Right Tub for Most Buyers — Not a Compromise
The Cuboid Standard costs less than the XL and is built from identical materials. We want to be direct with you: the only difference between these two tubs is five inches of interior length. That’s it.
If you’re 5’8” or shorter, the 43.5” interior of the Standard covers you from shoulder to foot without your knees having to bend above the waterline. For the majority of buyers, the Standard is not a step down from the XL — it is the correct size for their frame. Paying more for length you don’t use does not make the cold therapy more effective.
If you’re taller than 5’8” and want your legs fully extended during immersion, the Cuboid XL is worth the extra investment. For everyone else, this is the tub we’d recommend.
304 Nano-Coated Stainless Steel — Where Premium Cold Plunge Starts
The interior and exterior of the Cuboid Standard are both 304-grade stainless steel with a nano-coating engineered to outlast the alternatives. This is the same material decision that separates a cold plunge you replace in three years from one you keep for a decade.
A passive chromium oxide barrier forms at the surface, protecting against corrosion, mineral staining, and oxidation from cold or chlorinated water. No liner to degrade. No plastic to crack under daily use. The same alloy used in commercial food processing for its non-reactive, non-porous properties.
Pacific Cedar is naturally antimicrobial, dimensionally stable in wet environments, and resistant to decay without treatment. It adds structural rigidity to the stainless cabinet and ages gracefully whether placed indoors or outdoors year-round.
Standard 3/4” IN/OUT fittings connect directly to both DCT 0.8HP and 1.0HP WiFi chiller units with no adapters required. The tub also supports ice-over-water sessions — gravity fill and manual drain work without a chiller.
Everything Included — No Follow-Up Purchases Required
The Cuboid Standard ships as a complete, ready-to-use cold therapy system. Everything you need for day-one immersion is in the box.
4” Insulated Cover (Included)
The custom insulated cover with child safety latches maintains water temperature between sessions and prevents unsupervised access. If you’re running a chiller, a well-insulated cover significantly reduces the energy needed to hold your target temperature. A replacement cover is available separately in our store.
Compatible with the DCT Chiller Ecosystem
The 0.8HP WiFi Chiller provides consistent automated temperature control for residential daily use. The 1.0HP handles higher-volume applications. Both connect directly to the 3/4” ports. Select a With Premier Chiller option above to order the tub and chiller together as one system, or call (888) 500-5675 and we’ll help you choose the right unit for your protocol.
Pacific Cedar Step Stool (Included)
Entry and exit from a cold plunge tub are often underestimated in terms of safety. The included Pacific Cedar step provides the correct ergonomic height for a repeatable, controlled mounting motion — particularly important on the way out when the body’s thermoregulatory response is most active.
Add the Premier Chiller — One Complete Cold Plunge System
Choose a With Premier Chiller configuration above and your Cuboid Standard ships as a complete system — tub and DCT’s Premier Edition Chiller & Heater together, connected in minutes with the included quick-connect hoses.
37°F Cold to 85°F Warm — One Unit
The Premier Edition both chills and heats, with temperature adjustability from 37°F to 85°F. Control it from the splash-proof digital touchscreen or remotely through the Tuya Smart WiFi app — set your target before you leave the gym and step into ready water.
0.8 HP or 1.0 HP — Sized to Your Routine
The 0.8 HP unit handles plunges up to 135 gallons, pulling water down 1–3°F every 30 minutes — well matched to the Cuboid Standard for daily residential use. The 1.0 HP steps up to 150 gallons at 1–3°F every 20 minutes (both depending on ambient temperature and water volume) — the right call for hot climates, garage installs, or back-to-back sessions.
Clean Water, Automatically
Two-stage filtration with replaceable 20-micron filters, an automated natural ozone sanitation system, and a built-in strainer keep water clear between full changes. Every Premier runs on a standard 120V outlet with built-in GFCI, is rated for indoor and covered outdoor use, and carries a 1-year warranty with lifetime product support.
Prefer to source a chiller separately or use ice? Tub Only ships chiller-ready with capped 3/4” ports — you can add a chiller at any time.
How Consistent Practitioners Structure Their Cold Sessions
Cold immersion works through repetition, not intensity. The Cuboid Standard is designed to be used daily, not occasionally. Here’s how to build that habit.
A 2–4 minute immersion before caffeine. Research on cold water immersion suggests it may support norepinephrine and cortisol awakening responses — helping to establish mental clarity before the demands of the day. Many practitioners report this replaces their first coffee within a few weeks of daily use.
Target: 50–55°F. Duration: 2–4 min. The discomfort at entry is the mechanism. Breathe slowly through it.
The 43.5” interior provides full immersion for buyers up to 5’8” — covering the lower extremities where micro-tears, systemic inflammation, and neural fatigue accumulate after training. Research suggests cold immersion may help modulate the acute inflammatory response and support recovery between sessions.
Target: 45–55°F. Duration: 10–15 min. If hypertrophy is the goal, wait 30–60 min post-lift before plunging.
A 5–7 minute immersion 90 minutes before sleep accelerates the core body temperature drop that typically precedes deep sleep onset. Research on thermoregulation and sleep architecture suggests this may support sleep quality and time-to-sleep without disrupting circadian rhythm.
Target: 55–60°F. Slightly warmer for sleep priming — you’re winding the nervous system down, not training it.
Who the Cuboid Standard Is Built For
The Standard is the right choice for the majority of cold therapy practitioners — and for most buyers, the smarter investment.
You’re not experimenting with cold exposure — you’ve decided it’s part of your daily stack. You want a stainless steel tub that can be sanitized properly, holds temperature when connected to a chiller, and doesn’t need to be refilled from scratch each session. At 5’8” or under, the Standard gives you full immersion without paying the XL premium for length you don’t need.
You’ve researched the catecholamine response and cold-shock protein activation. You know temperature and duration are the variables that drive outcomes — not whether your interior is 43.5” or 48.5” long. You want 304 stainless steel because it’s non-reactive and can be kept hygienically clean. A DCT WiFi chiller on the 3/4” ports gives you programmable temperature precision. This is the right setup.
For commercial applications where client height profiles are mixed and the priority is consistent protocol delivery and sanitation, the Cuboid Standard covers the majority of clients effectively. The 304-grade stainless interior supports hospital-grade cleaning protocols across high-use days. For commercial volume pricing or multi-unit orders, call us at (888) 500-5675.
The Math on Owning vs. Going Out
Cold plunge studios typically charge $25–$50 per session — cryotherapy runs higher. Here’s what the Cuboid Standard costs per use at daily frequency.
Shop Pay installments, powered by Affirm, are available at checkout to spread the investment over time.

Shipping & Delivery
The Cuboid Standard ships via freight carrier with free curbside delivery included. Estimated transit: 5–10 business days after dispatch. You will receive tracking by email when your order ships. Curbside delivery means the carrier brings the pallet to your curb or driveway — not inside the home.
Threshold delivery, inside placement, or full room-of-choice setup is available as a paid White Glove upgrade. Plan your placement route before delivery day — the filled tub weighs approximately 1,200 lbs. To discuss White Glove options, call (888) 500-5675.
Filled weight is approximately 1,200 lbs (~120 gallons). Concrete slabs, reinforced patios, and ground-level floors handle this load without issue. Elevated decks or upper-story placement should be confirmed with a contractor before ordering. Call (888) 500-5675 to discuss your setup.
Arrives fully assembled. Chiller connections use standard 3/4” hose fittings — no specialist required. Fill with a garden hose. Drain via the 3/4” OUT port into an appropriate outdoor area or floor drain.
DCT Cuboid Standard — Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the Cuboid Standard and the Cuboid XL?
Both models use identical materials: 304 nano-coated stainless steel interior and exterior, Pacific Cedar trim, 3/4” chiller ports, an insulated cover with child safety latches, and a cedar step stool. The only difference is size. The Standard has a 50” exterior (43.5” interior); the XL has a 55” exterior (48.5” interior) — five additional interior inches. For buyers 5’8” and under, the Standard provides full immersion coverage at a lower price. For taller buyers who need full-leg clearance, the XL is the right call.
Do I need a chiller, or can I use ice?
You can use either. The 3/4” ports support chiller connectivity, but the tub also works with ice-over-water sessions — fill with cold water, add ice to reach your target temperature. A chiller provides automated, consistent temperature control without daily ice management. The DCT 0.8HP WiFi Chiller handles most residential cold therapy protocols. The 1.0HP handles higher-volume commercial use. Select a With Premier Chiller option above to add either one to this order as a complete system, or call (888) 500-5675 for a recommendation.
Can I order the Cuboid Standard with a chiller included?
Yes — select a With Premier Chiller configuration and your order ships as a complete system: the tub plus DCT’s Premier Edition Chiller & Heater in your choice of 0.8 HP (plunges up to 135 gallons, 1–3°F every 30 minutes) or 1.0 HP (up to 150 gallons, 1–3°F every 20 minutes, depending on ambient temperature and water volume). The Premier runs on a standard 120V outlet with built-in GFCI, connects through the included quick-connect hoses, and is controlled from its splash-proof touchscreen or the Tuya Smart app. Tub Only orders are chiller-ready, so you can also add a chiller later.
What temperature can the Cuboid Standard reach?
The tub does not generate temperature on its own — temperature is controlled by the chiller you connect to it. The DCT 0.8HP and 1.0HP WiFi chillers cool water into cold therapy ranges appropriate for immersion protocols (see each chiller’s specification sheet for exact minimums). With ice alone, temperature depends on ambient conditions and ice quantity. For precise and consistent temperature control session to session, a DCT WiFi chiller is the practical solution.
Is the Cuboid Standard suitable for outdoor use year-round?
Yes. The 304 nano-coated stainless exterior and Pacific Cedar trim are both designed for outdoor durability. In climates where temperatures drop below 32°F, drain the tub if the chiller isn’t running — water left standing in the lines can freeze and cause damage. Contact us at (888) 500-5675 for winterization guidance based on your region.
Is the insulated cover included, or purchased separately?
The 4” insulated cover with child safety latches ships with the Cuboid Standard — it is included at no additional cost. The separately listed cover in our store is a replacement unit for buyers who need a spare or want to replace one after extended use. You do not need to purchase an additional cover when ordering the Standard.
What surface can the Cuboid Standard be placed on?
Filled weight is approximately 1,200 lbs (~120 gallons of water). Concrete slabs, reinforced patios, and ground-level floors handle this without issue. Elevated wood decks should be inspected by a contractor before you place the tub — the filled weight may exceed the deck’s designed load rating. Upper-story placement requires a structural assessment. Call us at (888) 500-5675 to walk through your specific setup.
Can the Cuboid Standard be used alongside a medical or physical therapy program?
The Cuboid Standard is a wellness device, not a medical device. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Many buyers use it to complement — not replace — clinical care during recovery phases. If you are under the care of a physician or physical therapist, discuss how cold water immersion fits into your protocol before use. Certain cardiovascular conditions, Raynaud’s syndrome, and open wounds contraindicate cold immersion — consult a qualified healthcare professional before beginning any cold therapy protocol.
Is Shop Pay financing available for the Cuboid Standard?
Yes. Shop Pay installments, powered by Affirm, are available at checkout — allowing you to split your purchase into manageable payments. Terms and approval are determined at checkout. Cold plunge tubs are listed as eligible for HSA or FSA reimbursement with a Letter of Medical Necessity and a prescription. We do not accept HSA or FSA cards at checkout — you pay with an ordinary card and claim the amount back from your plan administrator. Eligibility is determined individually. See how HSA and FSA reimbursement works here.
