Shipping & Delivery
Shipping & Delivery
Your Kahuna chair ships free from the manufacturer's California warehouse via LTL freight. Delivery to most addresses in the contiguous US takes 10 to 14 business days after shipment, following 3 to 5 business days of processing. You'll receive tracking information by email once the carrier picks up your order.
Delivery options.
Threshold delivery (free): The carrier schedules a delivery window and brings your chair to your main front door. Moving it inside, placement, and assembly are not included — plan to have help available.
White Glove delivery, included at no charge: A professional team delivers to the room of your choice, fully assembles the chair, and removes all packaging. Contact us to schedule this before your order ships.
Scheduling your delivery. After your chair ships, the freight carrier will contact you directly to arrange a delivery appointment. Respond promptly — missed delivery attempts can result in terminal storage fees and further delays.
CRITICAL — inspect before you sign. Check every box carefully before signing the Bill of Lading. Cosmetic damage can be accepted. If a carton is punctured or crushed, or the chair itself is damaged, refuse that item and call us on (888) 500-5675 while the driver is still there. Note the damage on the Bill of Lading before you sign, writing exactly what you see, and ask the driver to initial it. If the driver will not initial it, note the damage anyway, sign, and photograph the Bill of Lading. Contact us within 48 hours with photos. Once the damage is documented on the Bill of Lading we can file a valid freight claim and arrange a replacement at no cost to you. If you refuse for a reason other than damage, or without contacting us first, return freight costs may become your responsibility. Signing a clean BOL releases the freight carrier from all liability. Claims filed after a clean signature are routinely denied.
Good to know. Deliveries to Alaska and Hawaii are available but carry a freight surcharge per chair — contact us before ordering for the exact rate. White Glove delivery adds approximately one additional week to transit time. Address changes after shipment may incur carrier re-routing fees.
Questions before you order? Call or text (888) 500-5675, Mon–Sat 9am–6pm EST. We coordinate every delivery ourselves.
Free shipping applies to standard threshold delivery within the contiguous 48 US states. Transit times are carrier estimates and may extend in exceptional circumstances. View our full Shipping & Delivery policy →
Warranty
Warranty
Kahuna (AJX, LLC) warrants all massage chairs for a minimum of one full year with parts and labor. The DIOS models we carry are covered longer.
Coverage by model. DIOS-1288: 3 years — all parts and labor, with on-site repair service at no cost to you. DIOS-6800, DIOS-7300 and DIOS Flexa: 2 years. On the 6800 and 7300 that period covers all parts and labor with on-site service; on the Flexa, year one covers parts and labor with on-site service and year two covers parts, with shipping to the service center at the owner's expense. Touch-screen remotes and tablets carry one year on every model.
Register within 30 days. Kahuna requires warranty registration within 30 days of delivery — coverage is void if registration isn't received in that window. We'll send you the link with your order. It takes two minutes; don't skip it.
Home use only. Kahuna's warranty covers residential use, and its warranty certification states that any commercial use of the chair voids the warranty. Placing a chair in a MedSpa, gym, clinic, studio or any business setting? Call us before you order and we'll point you to equipment that's warranted for that environment.
Buy new, from an authorized dealer. The warranty is non-transferable and applies to the original purchaser — it does not carry over to a chair bought secondhand. Recovery Room Direct is an authorized Kahuna dealer, so your chair ships through authorized distribution with full factory coverage intact.
What isn't covered. Shipping expenses; normal wear and tear including velcro, zippers and tears in fabric or leather; physical or intentional damage; and accidents or neglect such as stains, fluids, mold, water damage, animal damage, cuts and burns.
Extended coverage can only be purchased at the time you buy the chair — it can't be added once the original term ends. Ask us before you order.
How to make a claim. Contact us — as your authorized dealer we handle the claim with the manufacturer for you. Email sales@recoveryroomdirect.com or call (888) 500-5675 with your order number and photos of the issue.

Return Policy
Return Policy
We want you fully confident before you buy. If your Kahuna chair isn't the right fit, you have 30 days from delivery to return it. Need to cancel before it ships? Contact us as soon as possible. There is no fee as long as we have not yet submitted your order to the manufacturer. After we submit it but before it ships, a 5% administrative fee may apply, and we waive it whenever we are not charged.
How to start a return. Email us your order number at sales@recoveryroomdirect.com and we'll issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number along with the correct return address. Returns sent without a valid RMA will not be accepted at the warehouse.
Condition required. The chair must be returned in brand-new, unused condition in its original packaging, with all boxes, accessories, and components included. Kahuna will not accept returns that are improperly packed or missing original materials.
What it costs to return. We want to be upfront: returning large freight equipment involves real costs. Kahuna charges a 15%–35% restocking fee on all returns — the exact rate is determined by Kahuna upon inspection. You are responsible for all return freight charges, and if your original order shipped free, the actual outbound freight cost is also deducted from your refund.
Non-refundable items. Open-box sale items are final sale — no returns accepted.
Financing cancellations. If your order was financed through Affirm or Synchrony, cancellation will result in a 10%–25% merchant processing fee charged by the financing provider — this applies even to pre-shipment cancellations on financed orders.
Damaged on arrival? You're fully protected. If you accepted the delivery and documented the damage on the Bill of Lading, we handle the freight claim and arrange a replacement at no cost — no restocking fee, no return freight charges.
Once your return is received and inspected, allow approximately 3–4 weeks for your refund to reflect on your original payment method — this includes return transit time, warehouse inspection, and bank processing. We're here Mon–Sat, 9am–6pm EST. View our full Return Policy →

The Calf Problem Nobody Talks About
There’s a reason you leave most massages feeling like your shoulders are twenty years younger while your calves feel exactly the same.
Ask any massage therapist what separates a good session from a great one, and they’ll tell you it’s what happens below the knee. The gastrocnemius and soleus carry an enormous load — every step, every squat, every hour on your feet. They’re chronically tight, chronically underworked by conventional massage chairs, and directly connected to lower-back tension through the posterior chain.
Most chairs solve this with airbags. Airbags compress. They squeeze the calf from the outside — useful for circulation, but nothing like the kneading motion that actually works through muscular adhesions and trigger points.
The DIOS-7300 is built differently. Its dedicated 3D calf kneading mechanism uses rotating, multi-directional nodes in the calf cradle — not just compression. It’s the single biggest engineering difference between this chair and the rest of the Kahuna lineup, and most users notice it within their first session.
3D Calf Kneading: What the Mechanism Actually Does
The difference between airbag compression and mechanical kneading isn’t subtle. Here’s the mechanical explanation and why it matters for your recovery.
The Mechanism
Inside the DIOS-7300’s calf cradle sit rotating nodes that move in three dimensions: forward and back, side to side, and varying depth — independently of each other. The motion is deliberately non-linear, mimicking the thumb-and-forefinger technique a therapist uses on a tight gastrocnemius.
When a therapist works a calf manually, they’re not squeezing evenly — they’re rolling tissue, finding adhesions, pausing at trigger points, then moving on. The 3D kneading system replicates this non-linear pattern. Airbags can’t do this. They inflate and deflate. Effective for circulation — not for deep tissue work in the calf belly.
Why Calves Matter More Than You Think
The soleus and gastrocnemius are sometimes called the “second heart” — the primary muscle pump returning venous blood from the lower extremities. Chronic tension in these muscles is directly linked to lower-back tightness through the Achilles-to-hamstring-to-glute-to-lumbar chain. Runners, cyclists, retail workers, anyone who stands eight hours a day — all carry significant load below the knee that most massage chairs completely miss.
The buyer test: Sit in the DIOS-7300 and run the calf section for five minutes. Then compare it to any chair that uses airbag compression only. The feedback we consistently hear: “I didn’t realize how tight my calves were until something actually worked on them.”
What “7D Dual Core” Actually Means
Most chairs use a single roller mechanism for the entire back. The DIOS-7300 uses two distinct systems working simultaneously — that’s the architectural difference.
The 7D designation combines a 4D upper-body roller — handling neck, shoulders, mid-back, and upper lumbar with four axes of motion (vertical, horizontal, depth, and variable speed/pressure) — paired with a 3D dedicated lower-body system managing the lumbar, sacrum, and seat zone with its own independent motion profile.
Why does two systems matter? Because upper-back and lower-back tissue need fundamentally different things. The upper back needs precise targeting around the vertebrae and shoulder blade fascia. The lumbar needs broader, deeper pressure that follows the natural curve. A single roller is always compromising between these two demands. Dual Core doesn’t.
The “7D” explained: The seven dimensions refer to the combined degrees of freedom across both roller systems — vertical travel, horizontal travel, depth modulation, speed variation, dual-intensity zones, independent pressure control per core, and AI-adaptive real-time adjustment. The micro-current body scanner maps your shoulder width, lumbar curve, and spine length at the start of each session so the rollers track accurately — whether you’re 5′1″ or 6′3″.
Built for Real Bodies
Most massage chairs are engineered around a 5′10″, 180-pound reference. The DIOS-7300 was not.
Reinforced frame and mechanism engineered to deliver full roller pressure output at capacity — not just to structurally support the weight but to perform the full massage at specification.
Kahuna lists a recommended user height of 5′1″ to 6′3″ for this chair, and the extended SL-track travel and extendable ottoman are what carry the upper end of that range.
The micro-current body scanner detects your shoulder width and spine length before every session — automatically adjusting roller path and ottoman extension without manual input. Taller users won’t need to remap programs each session. The chair adapts.
Buying for a facility: Kahuna warranties this chair for home use only, and its warranty certification states that commercial use voids the warranty. Call (888) 500-5675 and we will match you to a chair that carries manufacturer commercial coverage.
The Full Feature Set
Beyond 3D calf kneading and 7D Dual Core, the DIOS-7300 is a fully-appointed luxury chair.
Built-in lumbar heating elements warm the lower back before and during massage — helping muscles relax for deeper roller penetration. Operates independently of all massage programs.
Strategically placed airbags deliver full-body compression from shoulders to feet — synchronized squeeze-and-release that complements the roller massage without replacing it.
Hands-free control via built-in voice command. Start programs, adjust intensity, or recline without reaching for the remote — particularly useful once you’re settled into zero gravity.
Integrated Bluetooth speakers in the headrest connect to your phone for music, podcasts, or guided meditation. No wires, no headphones required — just audio in the right place.
Deep tissue, relaxation, sports recovery, stretch, user-defined favorites, and more — with AI mode adapting roller pressure in real time based on detected muscle tension patterns during the session.
The SL-track follows your spine from the base of your skull through the glutes — covering the full posterior chain in one continuous path. L-track chairs miss the upper neck; S-tracks miss the glutes. SL covers both.
Three-Stage Zero Gravity
Three distinct positions — each creating a different therapeutic profile. Not just deeper recline for its own sake, but a different mechanical relationship between your body and the chair.
Weight begins transferring off the spine. Good for first sessions or a midday reset when you only have 20 minutes.
Full zero-gravity position. Knees above heart level. Spinal decompression effect maximized — the optimal position for deep tissue and recovery programs.
Extended recline approaching flat. Used for stretch programs and full-body decompression after loaded training days.
Zero gravity positioning distributes your bodyweight across the chair surface rather than loading it onto your lumbar spine. At Stage Two, the position achieves near-zero compressive force on lumbar discs — the same position originally developed for astronaut comfort during launch, now the standard for premium massage chair recline systems.
Who the DIOS-7300 Is For
Sitting between the DIOS-6800 and the DIOS-1288, the DIOS-7300 is built for buyers who want a no-compromise chair around a specific set of features — not the absolute flagship, but not a compromise either.
You train 4–6 days a week. Your calves are chronically tight from running, cycling, or heavy leg days. Your lower back takes a beating. You need a recovery tool that can work the entire posterior chain — not just your upper back. The 3D calf kneading and SL-track coverage were built around exactly your problem.
You’ve tried chairs that claimed to fit and didn’t — rollers hitting shoulder blades wrong, footrests two inches too short. Kahuna publishes a maximum user weight of 280 lbs for the DIOS-7300 and a recommended height range of 5′1″ to 6′3″. The body scanner adapts to your exact geometry every session — not a one-time calibration that drifts.
Homes where several people of different heights and builds use the same chair. The DIOS-7300’s AI body scanner re-reads each person at the start of a session, so there is no manual reprogramming between users of different sizes.

White Glove Delivery — Included
A 250-pound massage chair is not a curbside drop. White glove delivery means it gets set up properly, or it doesn’t leave our carrier.
Scheduled Freight Delivery
The DIOS-7300 ships via LTL freight. You’ll receive a call to schedule a 4-hour delivery window — no surprise arrivals, no leaving a pallet on your porch.
In-Home Placement & Setup
The delivery team carries the chair to your room of choice, assembles it, and confirms everything functions properly before leaving. Not the garage — the room you intend to use it in.
Packaging Removal
All packing materials, foam blocks, and cartons are removed from your home. You’re left with a chair ready to use — not a recycling project.
Frequently Asked Questions
Straightforward answers to the questions we hear most from DIOS-7300 buyers.
What’s the real difference between 3D calf kneading and airbag calf compression?
Airbag compression inflates and deflates chambers around the calf — effective for circulation and surface pressure, but it applies even force across the calf exterior. 3D mechanical kneading uses rotating, multi-directional nodes that move in a non-linear pattern inside the calf cradle, mimicking the thumb-and-finger motion a therapist uses to work through muscular adhesions and trigger points. Compression can’t replicate this. Most users notice the difference within their first session — specifically in how the calf belly feels afterward compared to any chair using airbags only.
What are the weight and height limits on the DIOS-7300?
Kahuna publishes a maximum user weight of 280 lbs and a recommended user height of 5′1″ to 6′3″. Those are the manufacturer's own figures from the DIOS 7300 brochure, and we publish them unchanged rather than rounding them up. The body scanner adjusts roller path and ottoman extension automatically across that range. If you have specific fit questions, our team at (888) 500-5675 will walk through them with you before you purchase.
I’m 6′2″. Will the SL-track reach my glutes or stop at mid-lumbar?
Kahuna rates the DIOS-7300 for users from 5′1″ to 6′3″, so 6′2″ sits inside that range. The micro-current body scanner detects your spine length and optimizes the roller path to maintain contact through the full lumbar and into the upper glute region, and the ottoman extends toward the taller end of the range. Above 6′3″ you are outside the range Kahuna publishes, and the DIOS-1288 is rated to 6′4″. Exact fit depends on your body proportions — users with very long torsos relative to overall height may find the chair positions slightly differently. Our team can walk through this in detail before purchase.
How often can I use the DIOS-7300? Is daily use too much?
The chair is built for regular daily use. Sessions of 15–45 minutes are typical. Most users start with 20 minutes at moderate intensity and increase over the first week or two as their body adapts. Deep tissue and sports recovery programs are generally used 3–5 times per week; relaxation and stretch programs can run daily without issue. If you experience soreness after a session — particularly with new users of deep tissue modes — allow 24 hours before the next intensive session. This is muscle adaptation, not an injury response, and it typically resolves within the first few weeks of regular use.
How much wall clearance does the DIOS-7300 need?
Approximately 6–8 inches behind the chair in the upright position to accommodate full zero gravity recline. This is significantly less than older-generation chairs that required 18–24 inches. The chair slides forward during recline rather than backward — a common design approach in modern massage chairs to reduce room footprint requirements. The white glove delivery team will position it correctly for your space during setup. It’s worth measuring your intended location and confirming the room dimensions before delivery day.
Can we use this in a commercial setting, such as a MedSpa, gym or recovery studio?
Kahuna warranties this chair for home use only. Kahuna's warranty certification states that any commercial use of the product voids the warranty, and its return policy says warranty may not apply in a commercial setting. If you are placing a chair in a gym, MedSpa, clinic or studio, call us at (888) 500-5675 first and we will point you to equipment that is warranted for that environment.
What warranty comes with the DIOS-7300?
