Shipping & Delivery
Shipping & Delivery
Your LeisureCraft sauna, plunge tub, hot tub or outdoor shower is handcrafted to order in Melancthon, Ontario and ships by insured LTL freight. Freight and all cross-border charges are included in the price — no separate shipping cost, no customs bill at the door.
Build time, not ship time. Every unit is made to order, so each product page shows an estimated build date rather than a delivery date. Transit is additional, and build dates move with production volume — peak season runs February through May. We confirm your date in writing once your order is placed.
What the carrier does. The freight company calls to schedule an appointment and delivers to the end of your driveway or the curb, usually on an 18-wheel truck. The driver will not unload your crate and will not back into your driveway. Check that a truck that size can reach your property before you order.
CRITICAL — you are responsible for unloading. Crates run 6 to 14 feet long and 800 to 1,600 pounds depending on the model, with the largest builds heavier still. If your crate is 84 inches or shorter, the carrier may have a liftgate to help lower it. Longer than that there is no liftgate, which covers most of the barrel and cabin range. You will need a forklift with extensions (crates lift from the end), a trailer to collect from the terminal, or a crew on hand. We can arrange a tilt-tow truck for $1,250 if you would rather not. Plan this before you order and we will work it out with you.
Inspect before you sign. If the crate arrives damaged, accept it, photograph everything before moving it, and write "Crate arrived open/damaged — Possible Hidden Damage" on the Bill of Lading. Then call us within 72 hours. A clean signature releases the carrier and makes a claim nearly impossible to win.
Good to know. Changing your shipping address after the unit leaves the factory costs $350 — free before it ships, so tell us early. If a delivery appointment stalls because calls go unreturned, the terminal charges $35 per day in storage. Both are manufacturer charges passed through at cost. Heaters and accessories ship separately and usually arrive sooner.
Questions before you order? Call or text (888) 500-5675, Mon–Sat 9am–6pm EST. We coordinate every delivery ourselves.
Included freight applies to standard residential curbside delivery in the contiguous 48 states. Alaska, Hawaii and Canada require a quote before ordering. Build and transit times are estimates, not guarantees. Applies to the LeisureCraft Canadian Timber Collection. View our full Shipping & Delivery policy →
Warranty
Warranty
All products designed and manufactured by Dundalk LeisureCraft — including the Canadian Timber Collection — are covered against defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use for 5 years from the day you receive the product.
What's covered. Replacement of defective parts. Service, labor and installation costs are expressly excluded by the manufacturer, and a replacement part does not extend the original 5-year period.
What's not. Normal wear and tear, improper installation, insufficient maintenance, natural weather conditions, and failure to follow the installation and care instructions.
Heaters, stoves and chillers. These sit on LeisureCraft's separate component schedule, and LeisureCraft honors the component manufacturer's terms directly — same coverage, same duration. Electric heaters carry 3 years (elements and rocks excluded; HUUM also excludes sensors). Wood-burning stoves run 2 years to 5 years, with LeisureCraft's own Timberglow at 5, excluding the glass door, ash grate and rocks; LeisureCraft chimney kits carry 5 years with no exclusions. Chillers carry 1 to 2 years. Component coverage is parts only. We confirm the exact term for your configuration in writing before you order.
Use a licensed electrician. All electrical connections on heaters and chillers must be made by a licensed electrician, or LeisureCraft voids the component warranty. Improper installation is excluded from the 5-year sauna warranty as well.
If you've seen a 3-year figure. Some older listings and in-box manuals still show 3 years for the Canadian Timber Collection. LeisureCraft's current published policy is 5 years, and that's the coverage we confirm in writing with every order.
Residential use, and registration. The 5-year term is written for normal residential use; LeisureCraft publishes no commercial warranty. Buying for a gym, clinic, spa, hotel or rental? Call us first and we'll get the factory's position in writing. We send the manufacturer's registration link with your order confirmation — registering keeps future claims straightforward.
How to make a claim. Contact us — as your authorized dealer we handle the claim with the manufacturer for you. Email sales@recoveryroomdirect.com or call (888) 500-5675 with your order number and photos of the issue.

Return Policy
Return Policy
LeisureCraft Canadian Timber products are handcrafted for your specific order in Melancthon, Ontario. Because each unit is built to order, the manufacturer does not accept returns or exchanges — so please call us before you buy if anything is unclear. We would far rather answer questions first than have you end up with the wrong sauna.
Cancellations. Production is scheduled as soon as your order is placed. Contact us as early as you can at (888) 500-5675 — if your build hasn't started we'll do everything we can to cancel at no cost. If it has, we'll tell you plainly where you stand.
Damaged on arrival? You're covered. Transit damage is handled by replacement, not return. Accept the shipment, photograph the damage before moving anything, and write "Crate arrived open/damaged — Possible Hidden Damage" on the Bill of Lading before signing. Call us within 72 hours and the manufacturer ships replacement wood or components at no charge. Damage reported after a clean signature is very difficult to claim — this step is what protects you.
Five-year residential warranty. Products manufactured by LeisureCraft carry a limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use for five years from the day you receive them. Valid claims are resolved with replacement parts at no charge.
What it doesn't cover. The warranty is parts only — service, labour and installation are expressly excluded, and a replaced part doesn't restart the five years. It excludes normal wear and tear, improper installation, insufficient maintenance, weather damage, and failure to follow the care instructions. Cedar is a natural material: seasonal movement and colour change to silver-grey are normal and are not defects.
Two exceptions worth knowing. The warranty is written for residential use — if you're buying for a gym, clinic, spa or rental property, call us first so we can confirm your coverage in writing. And sauna heaters are not LeisureCraft-made: Harvia, HUUM and Narvi units carry their own manufacturer warranties, and we'll point you to the right terms.
Warranty begins on the date the product is received by the original end-user. Register your warranty with the manufacturer to keep future claims straightforward — we'll send the link with your order confirmation. We're here Mon–Sat, 9am–6pm EST. View our full Return Policy →

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Canadian Timber Collection
The CT Luna is the cube in a lineup of barrel saunas, and the shape is the reason to buy it
Every other outdoor sauna in the Canadian Timber range is a barrel. The Luna is a rounded cube: seven feet on a side, flat floor, full height from wall to wall, with the corners softened with a generous radius on each vertical corner rather than a square edge. It holds 315 cubic feet, more than any barrel in the Canadian Timber range and second only to the Georgian cabin, and unlike a barrel none of that volume is lost to curvature at head height.
It is also the only one with a waterproof roof built into the price rather than sold as an option, and the only one that cannot take a wood stove. Both of those facts should decide this purchase for you, in one direction or the other.
Free freight to the contiguous 48 states. Monthly financing available.

See the Canadian Timber CT Luna sauna
LeisureCraft's own walkthrough of the Luna, shot at the factory and in a finished backyard.
Where the Luna earns its place as a 4 person outdoor cube sauna
The Luna is a traditional sauna: a stove, stones and a room you heat, which is a different experience from an infrared cabin. If you are still deciding between the two, our infrared versus traditional sauna comparison is the place to start.
A barrel sauna is efficient because the curve puts the hot air where your head is and wastes nothing above it. That is a real engineering advantage and it is why barrels have outsold every other shape for decades. What a barrel is not is comfortable to stand in, easy to furnish, or forgiving about where you put the benches, because the walls start bending away from you at shoulder height.
The Luna answers a different question as an outdoor cube sauna. Its interior is 80.25 inches wide and 80.25 inches tall across the whole footprint, with a flat floor underfoot. You can stand up straight anywhere in it. The benches run along two walls in an L rather than facing each other down a tube, which changes how four people actually sit: you can talk across a corner instead of lining up like a train carriage.
What it is not: it is not the cheapest way to get four people into a sauna, and it will never smell of woodsmoke. The Luna is electric only. LeisureCraft does not offer a wood stove for it and neither do we. If a fire is part of what you are buying, stop here and look at the barrel saunas instead, which take wood and electric both.
- Rounded cube, not a barrel: full standing height across the whole floor
- Flat solid floor, so furniture and footing behave normally
- 315 cubic feet, more than any Canadian Timber barrel we carry
- Benches wrap two walls in an L rather than facing off along a curved wall
- Electric heat only, with no wood stove offered

The CT Luna roof is included, not a separate purchase
Every barrel sauna in this collection leaves the top staves exposed to the weather, and every barrel therefore has a roof kit on its options list: asphalt shingle, or metal in one of four colors, priced by the size of the barrel. Most buyers in snow country end up adding one.
The Luna arrives with its roof already on it. LeisureCraft builds the top as a slightly sloped deck under an EPDM rubber membrane, the same class of material used on commercial flat roofs, with cedar trims finishing the edges. Water runs off rather than pooling, and there is no seam over your head to think about. It is not an upgrade, an option, or a line item; it is how the sauna is built.
That matters when you compare the Luna against a barrel honestly. A Tranquility with a metal roof added is close enough in price to the Luna that the decision comes back to shape, floor and standing height rather than money.

Eastern White Cedar, and what you are paying for in a Canadian Timber sauna
The Luna is built from Eastern White Cedar, the wood that gives the Canadian Timber collection its name and its price. It is lighter in color than Western Red Cedar, tighter in the grain, and much milder in scent, which a lot of people prefer in a small hot room where red cedar can be overwhelming. It carries the same natural resistance to moisture, rot and insects, and it is milled in Ontario in the same factory that builds every LeisureCraft sauna.
Solid single-stave bevels
Each board runs the full length of the wall with no tenon joints along it. LeisureCraft specifies Grade-A solid cedar and does not finger-joint shorter offcuts together, which is the usual place a cheaper sauna saves money and later opens up.
Roof with a rubber membrane
An EPDM sheet over a sloped deck, trimmed in cedar. This is the part most outdoor saunas in this price range leave to an optional kit, and it is the part that decides how the sauna ages through ten winters.
Bronze tempered glass
The door and the window are 5 mm bronze tempered single pane. Tempered for safety at heat, bronze to cut the glare. LeisureCraft specifies single pane rather than sealed double glazing, which is worth knowing if you sauna through a hard winter.
Sourced from certified sustainable mills in British Columbia and Ontario, and covered by LeisureCraft's 5 year residential limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty covers replacement parts; service, labor and installation are excluded by the manufacturer.
Heating the CT Luna: electric sauna heater sizing for 315 cubic feet
The Luna is electric only. LeisureCraft's own configurator recommends a 6 kW heater for this model and publishes a working range of 6 to 9 kW, and that range is doing real work: 315 cubic feet is a large room by sauna standards, and an outdoor cabinet in a Canadian winter is not an insulated indoor one.
Choose the heater at the top of this page and it is added to your order as its own line, priced at LeisureCraft's list price with no markup from us. Three are offered:
- Harvia KIP, the simplest of the three, with the controls on the heater itself and no Wi-Fi
- HUUM Drop, wall mounted, 120 lb of stone, nearly three times the KIP; it runs from its own HUUM UKU control unit, local or Wi-Fi, which you choose with the heater at the top of this page
- Homecraft Revive, a Canadian-made stainless tower holding 200 lb of stone; its Homecraft control, local or Wi-Fi, is chosen with the heater at the top of this page
You can also select Without a heater, which is a legitimate choice if you already own one or your electrician has specified something else. We confirm the output and the electrical requirement with you on the order call before anything goes to the factory, whichever route you take.
Why we still ask you to call
The heater and its control are priced at the top of this page, so nothing waits on a quote. The call is where we check what you have chosen against your site: climate, how exposed the Luna will be, how fast you want to be at temperature, and the breaker. LeisureCraft accepts no returns, so five minutes on (888) 500-5675 before you choose is the cheapest insurance on the page.
All electrical connections must be made by a licensed electrician, and LeisureCraft's warranty is void if they are not. A 6 kW heater on a 240 V circuit typically needs a dedicated 40 amp breaker; your electrician will confirm the run for your site. Plan the electrical before the crate arrives, not after.

What a week with the Luna actually looks like
The sessions
An outdoor cabinet this size takes a while to come up to temperature from cold, longer in January than in June, which is why almost everyone who owns one settles into a rhythm rather than using it on impulse. You learn to switch it on before dinner and use it after. A heater with a Wi-Fi control changes that arithmetic more than any other option on this page, because you can start it from inside the house.
Four people, and why the corner matters
The L-shaped bench is the part owners mention. In a barrel, four adults sit in two facing pairs and everyone is looking directly at someone. In the Luna two people can sit along one wall and two along the other, around a corner, so nobody is required to hold eye contact for the length of a round.
Sauna and cold water
A good number of Luna owners pair it with a plunge, alternating heat and cold in the same session. If that is where you are heading, our contrast therapy protocol sets out the timings people actually use, and the cold plunges we carry are sized to sit beside a sauna this size.
Winter
The roof does its job quietly and you will not think about it. The single pane glass you will is the part to go in knowing about: LeisureCraft builds the door and window as 5 mm bronze tempered single pane rather than sealed units, so in a hard winter expect them to behave the way single glazing behaves.
Three people who choose the Luna over a barrel
The one who wants to stand up
Anyone over about six feet has met the barrel problem: you can sit comfortably but you cannot stand anywhere except the centerline. The Luna gives 80.25 inches of height across the whole floor, so getting changed and moving around stops being a negotiation.
The one with a sightline to protect
A barrel is a distinctive object and it has to go somewhere it can be one. At 84.75 inches square with a flat roofline, the Luna keeps to the footprint and height of a garden store, which is the argument to make to a spouse who has to look at it from the kitchen window, or to an HOA that has a view on outbuildings.
The one who does not want a second decision
Buy a barrel and you will be choosing a roof, a color and possibly a chimney routing. The Luna comes with its roof, takes no chimney because it takes no wood, and leaves you with one real decision: the heater.

Interior height is the honest column in this table. A barrel's 79 inches exists only along the centerline and falls away toward the benches; the Luna's 80.25 inches is the height everywhere. It is the single clearest reason people move from one to the other.
The second column worth reading twice is volume against seating. The Luna holds more air than the Tranquility while seating two fewer people, which sounds like a contradiction and is not: a barrel gains its seats by getting longer, and the Luna gains its volume by being full height in every direction. If you are buying for four, the Luna gives each of them more room than any barrel here. If you are buying for six, no amount of height fixes a bench that is not long enough, and the CT Tranquility is the honest answer.
Footprint is where the Luna surprises people. At 84.75 inches square it takes less ground than every barrel in this table except the Harmony, and it is the only one of the four whose depth does not grow when you add capacity. Measure your pad before you fall for a longer barrel. You can see the rest of our outdoor sauna range and the wider traditional sauna selection if the Luna is not the shape you want.
What the CT Luna costs to use, once it is in the yard
We are not going to invent a cost per session for you, because we do not know what you paid or how often you will use it. What we can give you is the denominator, and five years is not an arbitrary window: it is the length of the residential warranty.
Divide your delivered price by 780, or by 3,120 if the bench is full, and you have your real cost per session. We would rather hand you the arithmetic than publish an average we made up. The Luna is electric only, so the recurring cost is a power bill rather than a wood supply, and it is the one number your own utility rate settles better than we can.
What you are not paying for separately
- The roof. On all three barrels it is a priced option; on the Luna it is built into the sauna
- Freight to the contiguous 48 states, and all cross-border duties
- Cedar cut, shaped and pre-drilled, so there is no carpentry on site
- Benches, cradles and stainless hardware
- The bronze tempered glass door and window
- A poured foundation, provided the ground you set it on is level and stays level
- Assembly labor, if you and one other person build it yourselves
What is in the CT Luna outdoor sauna crate
The Luna ships as one crate, flat packed, ready to assemble. LeisureCraft publishes the crate at 84 by 45 by 44 inches (214 by 114 by 112 cm) and 1,526 lb (692 kg), and notes that packaged weight varies with the heater and options included.
What is in it
- Every cedar component cut, shaped and pre-drilled to length
- The L-shaped bench run, backrests and the floor
- The roof deck, its EPDM membrane and the cedar trim that finishes it
- The bronze tempered glass door and window, prehung
- Stainless fasteners, and the drill bit the manual asks for
- Your heater, if you ordered one, shipped as its own line on the same order
The CT Luna in detail
The same sauna from four angles, so you can see how the corner radius, the roof line and the glazing actually sit together before it is standing in your garden.

Building the CT Luna
LeisureCraft writes and publishes the assembly manual for this model, and it is worth reading before you order rather than after. Their own stated requirement is two people, and the only tools listed are a step or extension ladder, a cordless drill, a tape measure, a staple gun and a utility knife. The drill bit comes in the crate. Nothing is cut on site.
Published by Dundalk LeisureCraft. 20 pages, illustrated step by step.
CT Luna sauna delivery, and what to have ready
Freight included
Freight and all cross-border charges are already in the price, curbside to the contiguous 48 states. The Luna crate is 84 by 45 by 44 inches and about 1,526 lb. At 84 inches it sits right on the length limit LeisureCraft sets for a liftgate rather than past it, which is not true of the longer barrels, so ask us about a liftgate when you order instead of assuming either way on the day. Whatever the answer, a crate of this weight is not a two person lift.
Built to order
Nothing is stocked. Your Luna joins the production queue in Melancthon once your order is placed, and we confirm the build and ship window in writing as soon as the factory schedules it. If that date does not work, say so straight away, because nothing is cut in the first days and that is the window where a change costs nothing.
What it sits on
There is no slab to pour, but the Luna has a flat floor and a square footprint, so the base under it has to be flat and stay flat: a concrete pad, compacted gravel under level pavers, or a deck built to carry the load. Ground that settles unevenly racks the structure and pulls the door out of square, and improper installation is excluded from the warranty. Call us before you dig or pour.
Inspect before you sign
Photograph any damage and write it on the Bill of Lading before you sign, then call us within 72 hours. A clean signature makes a freight claim very hard to win, and on a crate this size a concealed dent is easy to miss in the moment. The crate is set down at the curb, not carried inside and not assembled, so have your help and your route sorted for the day it lands.
Before the truck comes
- A level, load-bearing base: a concrete pad, a paver patio or a properly built deck
- Space to work around all four walls during assembly
- Your electrician booked, with the heater output already decided
- Help on delivery day, or ask us about a lift gate when you order
- Somewhere dry to stage the parts if you are not building immediately
A few situations do add cost, such as a tilt-tow truck, an address change after the crate ships, or terminal storage if a delivery appointment stalls. All are avoidable and all are listed on our LeisureCraft shipping policy. Because each sauna is cut for your order, LeisureCraft does not accept returns or exchanges at any point; read our return policy before ordering, and call us with any doubt, because we would rather talk it through first.
Care once it is up
The cedar will move as it takes on and gives off moisture. Check the fasteners within the first month and periodically after that, and keep the air inlet and outlet vents clear. The exterior can be stained and LeisureCraft stocks Livos products for it; the interior is normally left bare, though Meldos Sauna Oil can be used if you want to bring out the grain. The EPDM roof needs nothing beyond keeping leaves and debris off it.
Before you start. Heat loads the cardiovascular system. If you are pregnant, have heart disease, high or low blood pressure, a seizure disorder or diabetes, have a pacemaker or another implanted cardiac or electronic device, are recovering from surgery, have Raynaud’s syndrome, or take medication affecting blood pressure, thermoregulation or alertness, speak to your doctor first. This is not an exhaustive list: if you have any health condition, ask your doctor before you start. Never use a sauna after drinking alcohol, and children should not use one unsupervised.
The questions buyers actually ask about the Luna
Can I put a wood stove in it?
No. LeisureCraft does not offer a wood heater for the Luna and its own specification sheet lists wood as not available for this model. If you want a fire, the CT Tranquility, CT Serenity and CT Harmony barrels all take one.
Is 315 cubic feet really bigger than the Tranquility, which seats more people?
Yes, and both things are true at once. The Tranquility is a longer barrel, so it fits more people along its benches, but a good part of its volume is up in the curve where nobody sits. The Luna has more total air and all of it is at usable height. LeisureCraft publishes seating of four for the Luna and six for the Tranquility.
Does the roof need any maintenance?
Not routinely. It is an EPDM rubber membrane over a sloped deck with cedar trim, the same family of material used on flat commercial roofs. Keep leaves and debris off it as you would any roof, and keep the vents clear.
What glass does it use?
LeisureCraft specifies 5 mm bronze tempered glass, single pane, for both the door and the window. Tempered is the safety requirement for a hot room and the bronze tint cuts glare. It is not sealed double glazing, so it behaves the way single glazing does in cold weather.
What size heater should I order?
LeisureCraft recommends 6 kW for the Luna and publishes a 6 to 9 kW range. Which end you want depends on your climate and how quickly you like to get to temperature. Choose the size at the top of this page; if you are between the two, call and we will size it with you before the order goes in.
Can I buy it without a heater?
Yes. Choose Without a heater at the top of this page. We confirm on the order call that you have one, so that nobody ends up with a sauna they cannot switch on.
What does the warranty actually cover?
LeisureCraft's 5 year residential limited warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship and provides replacement parts. Service, labor and installation costs are excluded by the manufacturer, and the warranty does not cover normal wear, improper installation, insufficient maintenance or weather damage. Heaters carry their own manufacturer terms, which we list on each heater page. The full terms are set out on our LeisureCraft warranty policy page.
Is it hard to assemble?
It is designed as a kit, and LeisureCraft's own manual asks for two people and five ordinary tools: a ladder, a cordless drill, a tape measure, a staple gun and a utility knife. The drill bit is in the crate and nothing is cut on site. Most owners do it over a weekend. If you would rather not, ask us about assembly when you order and we will quote it for your address.
Can I pay for this over time?
Yes. Shop Pay Installments is available at checkout, and APPROVE offers financing on larger orders including business and commercial buyers. Terms, length and whether interest applies all depend on the amount financed and on approval, so the exact offer is the one presented to you rather than anything we can quote here. Call us if you would rather talk it through first.
What happens if I change my mind after ordering?
Every Luna is built to your order, so LeisureCraft does not accept returns or exchanges at any point. That is their policy rather than a restocking arrangement, and we would rather you knew before you ordered than after. If your build has not started we will do everything we can to cancel at no cost, which is why calling the moment anything changes is the single most useful thing you can do. Our full LeisureCraft return policy sets out where you stand.
How long from order to delivery?
Every Luna is built to order, so the honest answer is that it depends on the production queue rather than on us, and that queue moves. We quote your build and ship window on the phone rather than publish a number that ages, and we confirm it in writing once the factory schedules it. If the timing does not work for you, the first days after an order are the window where a change costs nothing.
Is a traditional sauna safe for me?
For most healthy adults, used sensibly, yes, but heat genuinely loads the cardiovascular system, so this is a question for your doctor rather than for us. Speak to them first if you are pregnant, have heart disease, high or low blood pressure, a seizure disorder or diabetes, have a pacemaker or another implanted cardiac or electronic device, are recovering from surgery, have Raynaud’s syndrome, or take medication affecting blood pressure, thermoregulation or alertness. That list is not exhaustive. Never use a sauna after drinking alcohol, and children should not use one unsupervised.
Is the five year warranty valid in a gym, spa or rental?
The five year term is LeisureCraft's residential warranty. If the sauna is going into a gym, spa, short-term rental or any commercial setting, call us before you order, because commercial coverage is not the same thing and we will confirm the terms in writing rather than let you find out at claim time. Financing through APPROVE is available to business buyers either way.
Is Recovery Room Direct an authorized LeisureCraft dealer?
Yes. We buy directly from the manufacturer in Melancthon, Ontario, your Luna is built against your order, and we send the manufacturer's warranty registration with your order confirmation. When something needs sorting out, we deal with the factory on your behalf. You can see everything we carry from them in the Dundalk LeisureCraft collection.
Not sure whether you want the cube or a barrel?
It usually comes down to two questions: do you want to be able to stand up anywhere in it, and do you want a fire. Tell us those two answers and we will tell you which of these four saunas is the right one, including when it is not this one. If the answer is a fire, start with the barrel saunas instead.
