How does delivery work?
How does delivery work?
Free shipping to the contiguous 48 states on every Saunum heater, AirSolo and AirIQ control, and on any order above our free shipping threshold. A smaller accessory ordered below the threshold carries a flat charge, shown at checkout before you pay.
Ships from Wheeling, Illinois. We do not ship Saunum to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico.
Heaters come by freight. The Air, Air L and Air Perfect ship palletized. The carrier calls to book a window, someone has to sign, and the delivery is curbside rather than inside, so plan for two people to carry it in.
Smaller items come by parcel. The AirSolo, the AirIQ control, stones and safety rails travel by ground parcel with no appointment, and they can arrive on a different day from the heater.
Stones ship in their own boxes. 33 pounds each: 4 boxes for an Air or Air Perfect, 6 for an Air L. Stones added from a Saunum heater's page ship free with that heater.
When it ships. The estimate on each product page is the distributor's usual dispatch time for stocked items. We confirm stock with the distributor when you order, and if your model is out of stock we tell you the new date before anything ships. Working to a deadline? Ask us first.
If it arrives damaged. Note it on the delivery paperwork, photograph the carton and the contents, and report it within 48 hours of delivery, before the heater is installed. Saunum's warranty excludes transport damage. Refuse a punctured or crushed pallet and call us while the driver is there.
Not included: the electrical work. A certified electrician hardwires the heater to 240 V through the AirIQ control unit, and the AirSolo to 120 V.

Heaters: 2 years in a private sauna. The Air, Air L and Air Perfect, from your purchase date. The manual that ships with the heater gives no commercial term, so ask us before buying for a gym, spa or rental.
AutoLeil. 2 years in a private sauna, labor excluded.
AirSolo and AirIQ. 2 years in a home sauna and 1 year in a commercial or public one. The AirSolo cover includes labor and spare parts. The AirIQ cover is parts, for the first installation and the original purchaser.
Excluded on the heaters. Labor, the heating elements and the salt spheres, plus wear, transport damage, misuse, improper installation, repairs outside Saunum's repair partners, and stones or salt spheres Saunum does not recommend.
Two conditions decide every claim. A completed installation report goes in with the claim, and the product must have been connected by a qualified electrician. The report form is in the back of the manual, so keep a copy.
Delivery damage. Report it within 48 hours of delivery, with photographs and before installing, because transport damage is not a warranty matter.
Who handles it. Claims go to Saunum's US technical support at Bathing Brands, and we take them there for you. Call (888) 500-5675 with your order number, model, serial number and photographs.

30 days from purchase. On a Saunum heater, AirSolo, AirIQ control or accessory that is new, uninstalled and resalable, in the original packaging with all parts. We handle the return, so you do not contact Saunum or the distributor.
Installed means final. A heater that has been wired in, switched on or loaded with stones cannot go back, and neither can an AirIQ or AirSolo that has been wired in, or an accessory that has been fitted.
What it costs. Full credit for the product, less a repackaging fee of 20 to 50 dollars depending on the item. There is no percentage restocking fee on a standard return.
Who pays the freight. You do on a change of mind. We cover it when the cause is shipping damage or our error. We never deduct the cost of free shipping from your refund, but shipping you paid at checkout is not refunded on a change of mind return.
Damaged on arrival. Note it on the delivery receipt before signing, photograph it, and report it within 48 hours of delivery, before the product is installed.
Stones. Not returnable once a box is opened, since stone is sold by weight.
Cancelling before it ships. No fee before we send the order to the distributor. After that an administrative fee of up to 5 percent may apply, and we waive it when we are not charged ourselves.
To start a return. Call (888) 500-5675 for a Return Authorization number before anything ships back. Refunds go to the original payment method within 7 business days of the return being received and inspected.

AutoLeil part
Saunum AutoLeil pipe
A pre-bent stainless steel pipe that carries water from the AutoLeil valve to the spray nozzle over a Saunum heater's stones. It arrives shaped, so your installer does not have to bend one on site.
The AutoLeil automatic water dispenser comes with its spray nozzle but no piping. Saunum's manual gives the installer two routes: bend a copper or stainless steel pipe of 10 mm outside diameter with a pipe bending tool, or fit Saunum's pre-bent stainless pipe, which is sold on its own. This page is for that pre-bent pipe.
According to the manual, the pre-bent pipe clamps to the wall right beside the heater to save time during installation. Bathing Brands, the US distributor, lists it as the pipe for the AutoLeil; the manual allows a site-bent pipe instead, so this part is a time saver rather than a requirement. It serves the AutoLeil on the Saunum sauna heaters that run it: the Air, Air L and Air Perfect.

Pre-bent or site-bent: choosing the AutoLeil pipe
Both routes end in the same place: the AutoLeil spray nozzle, centered 5.9 to 11.8 in above the stones.

Fitting the nozzle to the pipe
- Cut the pipe end square and deburr it.
- Slide the cap nut and compression ring over the end, push the fitting against the pipe and tighten by hand.
- Finish with a wrench: three quarters of a turn on 10 mm stainless steel pipe, one full turn on copper. The manual says never to use a pipe wrench.
- Screw the spray nozzle into the fitting, then pressurize the line and check every joint for leaks.

AutoLeil pipe questions buyers ask
Do I need the AutoLeil pipe to run an AutoLeil?
Not strictly. Saunum's manual lets your installer bend a copper or stainless steel pipe of 10 mm outside diameter on site instead. The pre-bent AutoLeil pipe saves that step: it arrives shaped and clamps to the wall beside the heater. Bathing Brands lists it as the AutoLeil's pipe.
Does the AutoLeil pipe include the spray nozzle?
No. The spray nozzle and its compression fitting come in the AutoLeil kit. The pipe box holds the pre-bent pipe. Your installer fits the nozzle to the pipe end with the cap nut and compression ring, then tightens the nozzle into the fitting and tests the line for leaks.
Where does the AutoLeil pipe end?
Saunum's manual places the outlet centered 5.9 to 11.8 in above the stones in the basket, where the nozzle's wide spray pattern reaches them. The pipe runs down the wall next to the heater to reach that point.
Will the AutoLeil pipe suit my heater?
The pipe is made for Saunum heaters that run the AutoLeil: the Air, Air L and Air Perfect. Because the heater bodies differ in size, tell us your model and where your water line comes in, and we confirm the fit with you before the AutoLeil pipe ships.
How is the AutoLeil pipe shipped and covered?
It ships by ground parcel from the distributor in Wheeling, Illinois, and may arrive apart from the AutoLeil or a heater. Saunum's US manuals give no separate warranty term for this part, so ask us before you buy if cover matters.
