Shipping & Delivery
Shipping & Delivery
Your Dreampod product ships free via ABF or UPS Freight to any address in the contiguous 48 U.S. states. In-stock items leave our warehouse within 48 hours of payment, and delivery typically takes 5–8 business days from the ship date, depending on your location.
Made-to-order float pods. Float pods (V2, Vmax, Sport, Home Float Pro, Home Float Plus, and Mineral Soaker) may be built to order if not currently in stock. Contact us at (888) 500-5675 before ordering to confirm current availability and estimated ship date.
Scheduling your delivery. All Dreampod products ship as oversized freight on a pallet. The carrier will contact you to schedule a delivery appointment before the truck arrives. Respond promptly — missed delivery attempts can result in storage fees or the item being returned at your expense.
What to expect at delivery. Standard delivery is curbside — the driver will lower the shipment to ground level using the truck’s liftgate, but will not bring it inside or assist with installation. Have help available to move the equipment once it’s off the truck. White Glove delivery (inside placement) may be available for large float pods — call (888) 500-5675 before ordering to arrange.
IMPORTANT — inspect before you sign. Walk around the shipment and check every box for damage before signing the delivery receipt. Note any damage, dents, or missing items directly on the Bill of Lading before the driver leaves. If you observe major structural damage, refuse the delivery — we will arrange a replacement at no cost. Signing a clean Bill of Lading releases the freight carrier from all damage claims.
Alaska, Hawaii & outside the contiguous U.S. Shipping beyond the contiguous 48 states is handled on a case-by-case basis and is not available at standard checkout. Contact us at (888) 500-5675 for a custom freight quote.
Free freight applies to standard residential curbside delivery within the contiguous 48 U.S. states. In-stock items ship within 48 hours of payment confirmation. Transit times are carrier estimates, not guarantees. View our full Shipping & Delivery policy →

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Home Float Tank Built for Daily Use — Not Just the Occasional Session
The Dreampod Home Float Plus is a full-dome home float tank engineered for floaters who want commercial-quality construction without commercial pricing. A 7-foot 2-inch interior, automated UV filtration, multi-color LED ambient lighting, and a wired control panel that disappears the moment the lid closes. No app required. No plumbing required. No float center schedule required.
Affirm financing available at checkout — spread the investment over time.
The Honest Case for a Home Float Tank
No appointment. No drive. No ambient spa playlist someone else queued. Tuesday at 10pm, the house is quiet. You float alone, in your own water, on your own schedule — for 30 minutes or 90 minutes — whenever the moment is right. That’s the real reason people buy a home float tank.
Here is what we want you to know before you buy: the Home Float Plus is not the right pod for everyone. If you float once a month for relaxation, the Home Float Pro delivers the same therapeutic experience at a lower price point. The Plus makes sense if you float regularly — two or more times per week, after every hard training session, or as part of an active anxiety or sleep protocol. At that frequency, the economics flip inside 18 months compared to a float center habit, and the experience is meaningfully different from the flat clam-shell design of the Pro.
What you get: a full-dome fiberglass shell standing 3 feet 7 inches tall — significantly more interior space than the flat-lid Home Float Pro — a 132-gallon float solution maintained at skin temperature in auto mode, automated UV and chemical filtration that cycles after each session, and multi-color LED ambient lighting confirmed across our product images. Wired remote control. No app logins. No TCP/IP configuration. Just float.
What Research Says About Float Therapy — and What It Doesn’t
A 2025 systematic review published in BMC Complementary Medicine and Therapies analyzed 63 peer-reviewed studies involving 1,838 participants across six decades of float research. All 11 pain studies and all 8 stress physiology studies showed positive outcomes. A 2018 study in PLOS ONE found a single 60-minute session was associated with large reductions in state anxiety across five anxiety diagnoses — and 100% of participants requested a follow-up session.
We are not suggesting the Home Float Plus treats any medical condition. What the research does suggest: regular flotation may support stress recovery, athletic performance, and sleep quality through mechanisms that include reduced activity in stress-related brain regions and a shift toward the theta brain state — the 4–8 Hz frequency associated with deep relaxation and creative problem-solving.
One important note for new floaters: the first three sessions are acclimation, not peak experience. The outcomes that keep people floating — better sleep on float nights, faster recovery between training sessions, a quieter mental baseline — tend to emerge by sessions four through eight and compound with regular use.
Three Things That Set the Home Float Plus Apart as a Home Float Tank
7ft 2" Long. Full-Dome Design at 3ft 7" Exterior Height.
The full-dome fiberglass shell stands 3 feet 7 inches tall (exterior) — nearly double the height of the flat-lid Home Float Pro — and the interior floor runs 7 feet 2 inches long by 3 feet 7 inches wide. The result is a genuinely spacious float environment: easier entry and exit, more comfortable repositioning, and none of the low-ceiling claustrophobia that flat-lid pods can create. The 132-gallon float solution sits at skin temperature in a space engineered to disappear around you.
Standard 110V Outlet. No Plumbing. 45-Minute Setup.
The Home Float Plus plugs into a dedicated 110V/15A GFCI outlet — the same type used for a washing machine. No plumber required. The system is fully closed-loop with no permanent plumbing connections. Minimum room size: 10 feet by 10 feet. Hallway clearance for 90-degree turns: 2.5 feet. Setup with remote video support takes approximately 45 minutes. Remote video setup support from Dreampod is included at no additional charge.
Simple. Reliable. No App Required.
The Home Float Plus uses a wired remote panel mounted to the pod. Set float duration, adjust temperature, run the chemical injector, and control the LED — all without a smartphone, WiFi connection, or browser login. For home use this is a feature, not a limitation. The fewer variables between you and your float, the more consistent the experience. TCP/IP scheduling and remote app control are available on the commercial V2 pod for operators running eight or more floats per day.
Multi-Color Ambient LED — Set the Tone for Every Session
The Home Float Plus includes an integrated multi-color LED lighting system. Choose the light that matches your session: cool blue for recovery, soft amber for evening wind-down, full darkness for deep sensory attenuation. Controlled from the wired remote and switchable off entirely mid-float.

The Home Float Plus does not include underwater speakers or audio playback — the fiberglass shell and foam-core insulation provide passive sound isolation. Audio enhancement is available through separately sold Dreampod digital programs for use before or after floating.
What Keeps the Home Float Plus Ready Between Sessions
10-Micron Filter + UV Sterilization, Auto-Cycling
After each float session, the system automatically runs filtration cycles passing the solution through a 10-micron filter and UV sterilization stage. The high Epsom salt concentration itself creates an environment that most bacteria cannot survive in. Monthly filter changes and weekly water quality checks are the primary ongoing tasks. Between sessions, the system runs unattended.
Skin-Temperature Water. Auto-Maintained.
The in-line heater maintains the float solution at skin temperature — approximately 93.5°F / 34.2°C — where the boundary between your body and the water begins to dissolve. Auto mode maintains temperature between sessions so the pod is ready when you are. The foam-core fiberglass hull retains heat efficiently, reducing heater run time between floats.
Single Automated Chemical Injector
The Home Float Plus includes a single automated chemical injector running on a programmed schedule to maintain sanitation between sessions without manual dosing. This system is designed for home use volumes — one to four sessions per day. For float centers running eight or more daily sessions, the commercial V2 and Vmax pods use a dual-chemical system. For home use, the single-injector is appropriate and sufficient.
How Home Float Plus Owners Actually Use Their Pod
The most consistent pattern from float tank owners: when the tank is in your home, you float in ways a commercial center can’t accommodate — before a big presentation, after a late race, during the 45 minutes between your last call and dinner.
Mental Preparation and Nervous System Priming
A 30–45 minute session before competition or a high-stakes event. No incoming stimulus. No decisions. Research suggests flotation may support reduced pre-performance anxiety and the ability to rehearse in a deeply focused state. Athletes describe leaving a pre-float session in a state of narrow, calm readiness that is difficult to reach through other preparation methods.
Passive Recovery Between Hard Sessions
60–90 minutes after a hard training session or competition. Zero-gravity decompression for joints and the spine. The Epsom salt solution supports muscle relaxation. Studies measuring post-exercise salivary cortisol, perceived soreness, and psychological recovery scores have shown favorable outcomes. For athletes training across consecutive days, a post-float recovery session may meaningfully support readiness for the next training block.
Nervous System Reset Before Sleep
60 minutes in the evening, one to two hours before bed. The shift from sympathetic activation into parasympathetic recovery that most people spend hours trying to reach through other means. Many float owners report measurably better sleep on float nights — faster onset, fewer wake events, deeper rest. The theta brain state accessed during extended floats is a natural precursor to delta-wave sleep.
Who the Dreampod Home Float Plus Is Built For
Recovery That Compounds Across a Season
You train four to six days a week. The gap between sessions is where you either recover fully or carry fatigue forward. Float therapy at a center works — but scheduling around training, travel, and life makes it logistically fragile. At home, you float after every hard session, as part of your recovery protocol, not as an errand you fit in when the studio has an opening.
The Home Float Plus fits in a 10 × 10 foot room, runs on a standard outlet, and is ready when you are.
One Hour of Clarity. No Calendar Required.
You have read the research. You have probably tried a float center. The experience worked, but the logistics didn’t fit the way you actually live — early mornings, unpredictable evenings, back-to-back travel weeks. The value of the float is not the session itself; it’s the hour after, when your thinking is cleaner and your stress baseline is measurably lower.
At home, you access that state before a 6am strategy session, after a red-eye, or the Sunday evening before a high-stakes week. The investment pays for itself in cognitive performance before the year is out.
When Floating Becomes Infrastructure, Not a Splurge
Anxiety management, fibromyalgia, chronic back pain, persistent insomnia — for people who float therapeutically, a commercial float center is a subscription you cannot opt out of. At two to three sessions per week, the cost of renting access accumulates quickly. Within 12 to 18 months you stop paying per session and start floating on your own schedule, in your own space, in water you control.
Many couples discover that both partners use the pod regularly. It becomes the most-used piece of wellness equipment in the house.
Owning vs. Renting: The Float Tank Math
Commercial float sessions across US markets typically run 70 to 100 per session. Here is what ownership looks like against two realistic usage frequencies.
2 Sessions Per Week
~18-Month Break-EvenAt two float sessions per week at a center, annual session costs run into the thousands. Year one of ownership includes the pod plus initial Epsom salt and setup. From Year 2 onward, ongoing costs — filtration, chemicals, electricity — typically run 60 to 150 per month depending on session frequency.
By month 18 the Home Float Plus has paid for itself. Every float from that point costs roughly the electricity to run the heater and a fraction of a filter cartridge. A well-maintained fiberglass pod runs 15 to 20 years.
3–4 Sessions Per Week
~10–12 Month Break-EvenAt three to four sessions per week, the annual cost of a float center habit reaches a level where the Home Float Plus pays for itself inside a year. Every float from Year 2 onward costs roughly 8 to 15 in consumables — a fraction of the center rate.

| Remote / App Access | No | No | Browser-based (TCP/IP), no dedicated app |
| Power Requirement | 110V / 15A standard outlet | 110V / 15A standard outlet | 220V (electrician required) |
| Ideal Use | Home, 1–2 floats/week | Home, 3–7 floats/week | Float center / small studio |
Our honest take: If you float once or twice a week primarily for relaxation, the Home Float Pro delivers the same therapeutic float experience at a lower price point — same filtration, same wired control, same Dreampod build quality, smaller Epsom salt investment. The Plus earns its price difference for floaters who use it regularly and want the full-dome interior and larger water volume. The V2 Float Pod is built for commercial operations that need TCP/IP automation, dual-dosing, underwater audio, and a 220V install — at twice the price, it is overbuilt for home use.

What Comes With the Dreampod Home Float Plus
Everything needed to begin floating — except the Epsom salt, which ships separately due to weight. Typical initial fill is approximately 350 kg; Dreampod recommends purchasing 450–500 kg total to have ongoing supply on hand. Top off with salt as evaporation occurs over time.
Dreampod Home Float Plus fiberglass pod (white)
Wired remote control panel
Filtration engine with quick-connect hoses
UV sterilization unit (integrated in filtration system)
10-micron filter cartridge
Single automated chemical injector
Multi-color LED lighting system (built-in)

Dreampod Home Float Plus — Frequently Asked Questions
Will the Dreampod Home Float Plus fit through my doorways and into my room?
The Home Float Plus is designed to pass through standard residential doorways. For hallways and 90-degree turns, you need a minimum clear width of 2.5 feet (750mm). The pod exterior measures 7 feet 5 inches long by 4 feet 5 inches wide by 3 feet 7 inches tall. Minimum recommended room size is 10 feet by 10 feet. Dreampod’s remote installation support team will walk through your floor plan on the first video call to confirm clearance before delivery day. We strongly recommend measuring your path from entry to installation room before placing your order.
Is my floor strong enough to support a filled float tank?
The Home Float Plus, fully loaded with water and Epsom salt, reaches an estimated combined weight of 1,800–2,200 pounds. Standard ground-floor concrete slabs and heavily framed first floors typically accommodate this without issue. Upper-floor installations in standard residential construction — typically rated 40–50 lbs per square foot — may require a structural engineer’s assessment before installation. If you plan to install on any floor other than ground level, we recommend addressing this before ordering. Our Float Expert team can help you think through the calculation.
What does maintaining a home float tank actually involve?
After an initial 30-day water chemistry calibration period, most owners describe ongoing maintenance as 15–20 minutes per week. Core tasks: test pH and specific gravity one to two times per week; replace the 10-micron filter cartridge once or twice per month depending on session frequency; run filtration cycles after each float (this is automatic); top off Epsom salt as evaporation occurs. A full water drain and deep clean is typically needed every 6–12 months for a tank used three to four times per week. Monthly consumable costs — filters, sanitizer, salt top-offs, electricity — typically run in the range of 60 to 150 depending on how often you float.
Do I need a plumber or electrician to install the Home Float Plus?
No plumber is needed — the Home Float Plus is a fully closed-loop system. You fill it using a standard garden hose. For electrical, you need a dedicated 110V / 15A GFCI circuit. If your installation room already has a suitable dedicated outlet, no electrical work is needed. If not, a licensed electrician typically handles the circuit addition in under two hours. Do not use an extension cord or share the circuit with other high-draw appliances — this can damage the heater and control systems.
Does the Home Float Plus have speakers or music playback?
No. The Home Float Plus does not include underwater speakers or any audio system. This is deliberate — the core float experience involves the elimination of sensory input, not the replacement of it. The fiberglass shell and foam-core insulation provide passive sound isolation. Dreampod sells separately produced digital audio programs for use before or after floating. Underwater transducers for guided sessions are available on the commercial V2 and Vmax pods for facilities that offer audio-assisted floats.
What LED colors does the Home Float Plus include?
The Home Float Plus includes an integrated multi-color LED system. Based on our confirmed product imagery, available colors include blue, purple, magenta, amber, and green. The LED is controlled from the wired remote panel and can be switched off entirely during a float session for full sensory attenuation. The manufacturer describes it as a “calming LED lighting system” without publishing a specific color count — contact Dreampod directly if you need precise color specifications for your use case.
What is the difference between the Home Float Plus and the Home Float Pro?
The primary difference is pod height and interior volume. The Home Float Pro uses a flat-lid design with an exterior height of approximately two feet — compact and efficient, but low-clearance inside. The Home Float Plus uses a full-dome shell standing 3 feet 7 inches tall (exterior) — nearly double the height of the Pro — which creates a noticeably more open interior environment with easier entry and exit. The Plus also holds a larger float solution (500 liters versus approximately 400 liters) and requires more Epsom salt. Both pods use the same wired remote control and 10-micron UV filtration systems.
Should I try a float center before buying a home float tank?
Yes — we recommend it. The near-universal guidance from the float community is to complete two to three commercial float sessions before purchasing a home pod. This confirms you respond well to the experience and gives you a clear sense of what you are investing in. The first float is acclimation; the second and third give you the signal you need to make an informed decision. If you have already floated commercially and are researching for home ownership, you likely know exactly why you are here.
What financing options are available for the Home Float Plus?
Affirm financing is available at checkout. Select Affirm during checkout to view available plans based on your individual creditworthiness. Recovery Room Direct does not set financing terms or determine eligibility — all financing decisions are made by Affirm directly.
Is Recovery Room Direct an authorized Dreampod dealer?
Yes. Recovery Room Direct is an authorized Dreampod retailer. Purchasing through an authorized dealer ensures your warranty is honored by Dreampod, you receive genuine Dreampod products (Dreampod maintains a formal warning about counterfeit pods at dream-pod.com), and you have access to Dreampod’s manufacturer support and parts program.
