Shipping & Delivery
Shipping & Delivery
Your Kahuna chair ships free from the manufacturer's California warehouse via LTL freight. Delivery to most addresses in the contiguous US takes 10 to 14 business days after shipment, following 3 to 5 business days of processing. You'll receive tracking information by email once the carrier picks up your order.
Delivery options.
Threshold delivery (free): The carrier schedules a delivery window and brings your chair to your main front door. Moving it inside, placement, and assembly are not included — plan to have help available.
White Glove delivery, included at no charge: A professional team delivers to the room of your choice, fully assembles the chair, and removes all packaging. Contact us to schedule this before your order ships.
Scheduling your delivery. After your chair ships, the freight carrier will contact you directly to arrange a delivery appointment. Respond promptly — missed delivery attempts can result in terminal storage fees and further delays.
CRITICAL — inspect before you sign. Check every box carefully before signing the Bill of Lading. Cosmetic damage can be accepted. If a carton is punctured or crushed, or the chair itself is damaged, refuse that item and call us on (888) 500-5675 while the driver is still there. Note the damage on the Bill of Lading before you sign, writing exactly what you see, and ask the driver to initial it. If the driver will not initial it, note the damage anyway, sign, and photograph the Bill of Lading. Contact us within 48 hours with photos. Once the damage is documented on the Bill of Lading we can file a valid freight claim and arrange a replacement at no cost to you. If you refuse for a reason other than damage, or without contacting us first, return freight costs may become your responsibility. Signing a clean BOL releases the freight carrier from all liability. Claims filed after a clean signature are routinely denied.
Good to know. Deliveries to Alaska and Hawaii are available but carry a freight surcharge per chair — contact us before ordering for the exact rate. White Glove delivery adds approximately one additional week to transit time. Address changes after shipment may incur carrier re-routing fees.
Questions before you order? Call or text (888) 500-5675, Mon–Sat 9am–6pm EST. We coordinate every delivery ourselves.
Free shipping applies to standard threshold delivery within the contiguous 48 US states. Transit times are carrier estimates and may extend in exceptional circumstances. View our full Shipping & Delivery policy →
Warranty
Warranty
Kahuna (AJX, LLC) warrants all massage chairs for a minimum of one full year with parts and labor. The DIOS models we carry are covered longer.
Coverage by model. DIOS-1288: 3 years — all parts and labor, with on-site repair service at no cost to you. DIOS-6800, DIOS-7300 and DIOS Flexa: 2 years. On the 6800 and 7300 that period covers all parts and labor with on-site service; on the Flexa, year one covers parts and labor with on-site service and year two covers parts, with shipping to the service center at the owner's expense. Touch-screen remotes and tablets carry one year on every model.
Register within 30 days. Kahuna requires warranty registration within 30 days of delivery — coverage is void if registration isn't received in that window. We'll send you the link with your order. It takes two minutes; don't skip it.
Home use only. Kahuna's warranty covers residential use, and its warranty certification states that any commercial use of the chair voids the warranty. Placing a chair in a MedSpa, gym, clinic, studio or any business setting? Call us before you order and we'll point you to equipment that's warranted for that environment.
Buy new, from an authorized dealer. The warranty is non-transferable and applies to the original purchaser — it does not carry over to a chair bought secondhand. Recovery Room Direct is an authorized Kahuna dealer, so your chair ships through authorized distribution with full factory coverage intact.
What isn't covered. Shipping expenses; normal wear and tear including velcro, zippers and tears in fabric or leather; physical or intentional damage; and accidents or neglect such as stains, fluids, mold, water damage, animal damage, cuts and burns.
Extended coverage can only be purchased at the time you buy the chair — it can't be added once the original term ends. Ask us before you order.
How to make a claim. Contact us — as your authorized dealer we handle the claim with the manufacturer for you. Email sales@recoveryroomdirect.com or call (888) 500-5675 with your order number and photos of the issue.

Return Policy
Return Policy
We want you fully confident before you buy. If your Kahuna chair isn't the right fit, you have 30 days from delivery to return it. Need to cancel before it ships? Contact us as soon as possible. There is no fee as long as we have not yet submitted your order to the manufacturer. After we submit it but before it ships, a 5% administrative fee may apply, and we waive it whenever we are not charged.
How to start a return. Email us your order number at sales@recoveryroomdirect.com and we'll issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number along with the correct return address. Returns sent without a valid RMA will not be accepted at the warehouse.
Condition required. The chair must be returned in brand-new, unused condition in its original packaging, with all boxes, accessories, and components included. Kahuna will not accept returns that are improperly packed or missing original materials.
What it costs to return. We want to be upfront: returning large freight equipment involves real costs. Kahuna charges a 15%–35% restocking fee on all returns — the exact rate is determined by Kahuna upon inspection. You are responsible for all return freight charges, and if your original order shipped free, the actual outbound freight cost is also deducted from your refund.
Non-refundable items. Open-box sale items are final sale — no returns accepted.
Financing cancellations. If your order was financed through Affirm or Synchrony, cancellation will result in a 10%–25% merchant processing fee charged by the financing provider — this applies even to pre-shipment cancellations on financed orders.
Damaged on arrival? You're fully protected. If you accepted the delivery and documented the damage on the Bill of Lading, we handle the freight claim and arrange a replacement at no cost — no restocking fee, no return freight charges.
Once your return is received and inspected, allow approximately 3–4 weeks for your refund to reflect on your original payment method — this includes return transit time, warehouse inspection, and bank processing. We're here Mon–Sat, 9am–6pm EST. View our full Return Policy →

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Two cores. One chair.
Full body — all at once.
The DIOS-6800 brings something genuinely rare to the mid-range bracket: two independent roller systems working your upper and lower back simultaneously. This is the chair the LM-6800 always wanted to be — and it’s where most buyers find everything they actually need.
Affirm & Shop Pay financing available at checkout — spread the investment over time.
We’ll be direct: the DIOS-6800 is not the most advanced massage chair you can buy — Kahuna’s own DIOS-1288 goes deeper, wider, and smarter. But it is one of the most capable chairs we’ve seen in its bracket, and for most buyers, the honest answer is that this is the chair they should own.
Two independent roller cores work simultaneously — not in alternating passes. A 50-inch SL-track reaches the gluteal region that standard S-tracks completely miss. Three-zone heat covers your waist, back, and calves. Fifty-six airbags run from your shoulders to your feet. And the yoga stretch program converts more skeptics than any other feature we’ve seen at this price.
What “6D Dual Core” Actually Means
Most single-track chairs work like a road trip with one driver — the rollers travel from your neck to your glutes and back again, addressing each zone in sequence. If your traps are tight while your lower back is inflamed, the chair picks one to work on at a time.
The DIOS-6800’s dual-core system is two physically separate roller assemblies: one for your cervical spine, rhomboids, and trapezius; one for your lumbar, sacrum, and gluteal region. Both run simultaneously — sustained pressure across your full back without waiting for rollers to travel zone to zone. Buyers consistently describe it as “multiple pairs of hands.”
When Kahuna uses the term “6D,” they mean two independent 3D mechanisms (3D + 3D). The naming is proprietary. The technology is real.
Adjustable depth & technique, independently
Running simultaneously with upper core
You can lock the lower roller on any specific vertebra for sustained, targeted pressure. Most chairs pass through a problem spot in seconds. Fix Point mode holds position, letting concentrated relief accumulate over 30–60 seconds of focused contact. Buyers with a specific chronic spot — one stubborn lumbar disc, one tight SI joint — consistently call this the feature they use most. It is available independently on the lower core while the upper core continues its full routine.
Upper Core — 3D Module
A dedicated 3D roller assembly for the cervical spine through upper lumbar. Works your neck, rhomboids, and trapezius continuously — not in alternating passes with the lower zone. Five intensity levels. Adjustable roller width for different shoulder builds.
Lower Core — 3D Module
An independent 3D roller assembly for the mid-lumbar, sacrum, and gluteal region. Runs simultaneously with the upper core through the SL-track’s extension under the seat. Fix Point mode locks the lower rollers on any specific vertebra for targeted relief.
Air Float System
Air-cushioned suspension beneath both roller heads creates the give of a therapist’s palm rather than the hard contact of a standard roller track. Reduces mechanical noise and the jarring sensation that single-track chairs can produce at higher intensities.
Three Things the DIOS-6800 Does Exceptionally Well
Neck to Glutes in One Pass
The 50-inch SL-track follows your spine from the base of your skull through your gluteus maximus — 125 inches of roller travel. Standard S-tracks stop at the lumbar. The L-extension reaches the sacrum, piriformis, and proximal hamstrings that desk posture tightens hardest. Most chairs stop exactly where your back pain lives.
Three-Stage Calf & Foot Care
The footrest uses clamping, scraping, and kneading simultaneously, plus back-of-calf rollers that most chairs at this price skip entirely. If you stand for work, run seriously, or carry tension in your calves from cycling or heavy leg days, this is the section you’ll notice first. One honest note: the rollers run deep by design. If you have sensitive feet, wear thick socks for your first few sessions.
Full Control Without Sitting Up
The fast-response LCD touchscreen remote displays your complete massage map — roller position, zone selection, intensity, session timer — in one clear view. Adjust pressure on the fly. Lock the rollers on a specific vertebra with Fix Point mode. Switch programs without interrupting the session. Bluetooth connects to your phone for audio. USB port charges it.
The Yoga Stretch Program — Why It Converts Every Skeptic
The Yoga Stretch program uses the chair’s full mechanical range to guide your spine through assisted stretches — traction, lateral flexion, and controlled extension — decompressing the vertebrae systematically. The effect is closer to what a skilled physical therapist does manually than what most massage chairs attempt.
It runs 30 minutes and works best after loaded training, first thing in the morning when spinal discs are compressed from overnight rest, or as an evening reset for anyone in a fixed seated position all day. Buyers who came in skeptical of massage chairs consistently report this program changed how they think about the purchase.
Nine Programs. Three Moments in Your Day.
Nine auto programs: Relax, Sport Recovery, Yoga Stretch, Deep Tissue, Rejuvenate, Pain Relief, Stretching, SV-Chiro, Combination. Most buyers settle into two or three. The dual-core architecture means upper and lower back are addressed simultaneously — full-body coverage in half the time of a single-track chair.
- Morning — Rejuvenate: Disc pressure is highest right after sleep. Twenty minutes in zero gravity decompresses the spine naturally before eight hours of desk work or standing load it again.
- Post-Workout — Sport Recovery + Yoga Stretch: Addresses thoracic tension from pulling and pressing while the lower core works glutes and hips. Spinal decompression after weighted loading is a consistent part of injury-free training over time.
- Evening — Relax + Heat: Heat on. Full recline. The ritual most buyers settle into permanently — three-zone heat warms your waist, back, and calves while the rollers finish their work. Most users are asleep before the 30-minute timer ends. That’s not a bug.
The DIOS-6800 Is a Specific Chair for a Specific Buyer
It is not the most advanced chair Kahuna makes. It is the most capable chair at this price for buyers who want full-body daily coverage without paying for features they’ll never use every day.
Your lumbar aches because your hip flexors are shortened, your glutes are underactive, and nothing in your routine reaches the sacrum or piriformis. The SL-track’s L-extension goes there. The lower core runs simultaneously while the upper core works your shoulder tension. One 20-minute session hits everything a desk job shortens in a single pass.
Recovery has become your limiting factor. Sport Recovery and Yoga Stretch address muscle stress in ways passive rest doesn’t — better circulation to support metabolic clearance, spinal decompression after loaded movements to help reduce cumulative stress. The 56-airbag system covers calves and shoulders simultaneously, like recovery boots across the full body at once.
The body scan adjusts to each user automatically before every session. Five intensity levels mean the pressure that works for one person doesn’t overwhelm another. Nine programs accommodate what a desk worker needs Monday morning and what an athlete needs Friday evening. The chair earns its footprint by being useful to everyone who lives there.
The Chair, In Context
30 inches wide, 57 inches long upright, approximately 73 inches when fully extended. Space-saving design needs only 3–5 inches of wall clearance — the chair slides forward rather than backward. Most buyers are surprised how little room it takes compared to a sofa.
High-density PU leather in Beige/White or Black/Gray — both designed to read as furniture rather than medical equipment.
One honest note on noise: the air pump generates an audible hum during operation — roughly equivalent to a box fan at medium speed. At normal TV volume, it disappears. The Air Float system makes the DIOS-6800 noticeably quieter than the LM-6800 it replaced, but this is not a silent chair.
The Math That Changes the Decision
Most buyers frame this as a luxury purchase. It’s more useful to frame it as a recurring expense they’re already making — and replacing with something better.
Massage chairs are listed as not eligible for HSA or FSA reimbursement, and no letter pathway is published for them. We make no eligibility claim for this category. See what the published lists say. Questions? Call us at (888) 500-5675.
Two Colorways. Same Chair.
Both colorways are priced identically and share the same mechanical specifications, programs, and warranty.

Kahuna DIOS-6800 Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Kahuna DIOS-6800 worth it?
For most buyers wanting full-back daily coverage, yes. Dual-core 6D technology typically appears in chairs a tier above this one. The DIOS-6800 delivers a 50-inch SL-track, 56 airbags, three-zone heat, and Yoga Stretch — a combination competitors haven’t matched. Need AI personalization? That’s the DIOS-1288. Want dual-core without overpaying? This chair earns it.
What does “6D dual core” actually mean — is it a real difference or marketing?
“6D” is Kahuna’s proprietary term for two independent 3D mechanisms — not an industry standard. What is real: the dual-core architecture. A single-track chair has rollers traveling sequentially. The DIOS-6800 runs two assemblies simultaneously — one for the upper back, one for the lumbar and glutes. Sustained pressure across your full back in one pass.
What is the difference between the Kahuna DIOS-6800 and the DIOS-1288?
The DIOS-1288 uses 8D AI rollers with adaptive learning; the DIOS-6800 uses 6D dual 3D rollers with fixed programs. The DIOS-1288 has 94 airbags vs. 56, a 54-inch track vs. 50-inch, 24 programs vs. 9, and adds smartphone app, voice control, chromotherapy, aromatherapy. One spec runs the other way: the 6800 has the higher weight capacity, 280 lbs vs. the 1288’s 265 lbs. Call (888) 500-5675 and we’ll tell you honestly which fits your situation.
How does an SL-track work — and why does it matter for lower back pain?
A standard S-track ends at the tailbone, missing the sacrum and glutes entirely. The DIOS-6800’s SL-track extends under the seat, reaching the gluteus maximus, sacrum, and upper hamstrings — the zones where desk workers hold the most tension. A tight piriformis compresses the sciatic nerve; an S-track chair cannot reach it. The DIOS-6800 can.
What are the weight and height limits for the DIOS-6800?
Fits users 5′1″–6′3″ with a 280-lb capacity. Taller users (6′2″–6′3″) may find shoulder rollers slightly high and foot extension shorter than ideal. Over 6′3″, the DIOS-1288 fits up to 6′4″ with a longer 54-inch track. On weight, the 6800’s 280-lb capacity is the higher of the two (the 1288 is rated 265 lbs). Call us if you’re near the limit.
How loud is the DIOS-6800 during a session?
The air pump generates a noticeable hum when airbags are inflating — roughly equivalent to a box fan at medium speed in a quiet room. TV at normal volume covers it completely. The roller mechanism is quiet; the compressor is the main sound source. The DIOS-6800 is meaningfully quieter than the LM-6800 it replaced, but this is not a silent chair.
Does the DIOS-6800 come with financing options?
Yes. Affirm and Shop Pay installment financing are available at checkout with no credit-score impact when checking your rate. For financing questions, call (888) 500-5675.
How long does assembly take — and can one person do it?
Assembly takes 20–30 minutes; all tools included. Critical: remove one white plastic insert from either air hose before connecting — both ends are male. Watch Kahuna’s installation video first. Two people strongly recommended at 174 lbs. Plan your room placement before starting — the assembled chair is hard to move.
What warranty does the DIOS-6800 come with, and what does it cover?
The DIOS-6800 includes a 2-year full warranty covering parts and labor. Registration required within 30 days at kahunachair.com. Residential use only, non-transferable. Exclusions include shipping damage, normal wear, misuse, and cosmetic staining. Recovery Room Direct is an authorized Kahuna dealer — your warranty is fully supported when purchasing through us.
What is the return policy on the DIOS-6800?
Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery. Return freight and a restocking inspection fee apply — standard for this category. Most concerns about intensity, fit, or program preference resolve with a short call to our team. Call (888) 500-5675 before starting a return and we’ll walk you through it.
Will the DIOS-6800 fit through standard doorways?
The chair body is 30 inches wide. Standard interior doorways are 32–34 inches clear width. Remove the armrest panels for installation — the recommended approach through doorways and hallways. Confirm the path from entry to your intended room before delivery. At 174 lbs, two people are needed. Call (888) 500-5675 if you have path concerns — professional setup can be arranged.
