How does delivery work?

Freight, quoted for your address. These are crated units of roughly 1,300 to 4,800 pounds going to residential addresses, so there is no flat rate. Send us your postcode before you order and we will come back with a real figure.

The outdoor cabins arrive fully assembled. All eight travel as one piece, so there is no build on your weekend, but a forklift or crane has to reach the pad. Measure the gate, the side return and anything overhead first.

The indoor cabins arrive in panels. The Lumaria, Aalto and Astra are built in place by two to four people. What matters is the route in, not the room itself.

Delivery is curbside and someone has to be there. The carrier calls to book a window and brings it to the kerb or driveway. Moving it onto the pad is yours to arrange.

Inspect before you sign. Note any damage on the delivery paperwork while the driver is there, photograph everything, and tell us within 48 hours. Refuse a structurally damaged crate and call us.

Lead times. Twelve weeks on every outdoor cabin, four to eight on the three indoor models, built to order from the day you order.

What does the warranty cover?

Two warranties, not one. ThermaSol covers the sauna room and Harvia covers the heater inside it. They differ in length and they are claimed in different places.

The sauna room: 1 year. From substantial project completion, covering defective workmanship and materials such as mis-cuts, rough lumber or knot loss.

The heater, control and power box: 5 years residential. One year in a commercial setting. Stones and heating elements carry one year either way.

Two conditions decide most claims. The room must be registered within 15 days of purchase, and installed by a certified electrician or qualified service representative.

Commercial use voids it. ThermaSol excludes residential units used in any non-residential setting, naming hotels, spas, gyms, health clubs and short-term rentals. Tell us before you order and we will quote a range that is warranted for it.

Who you call. Cabin claims go through ThermaSol and we start them for you. Harvia heaters are serviced by Harvia US directly, which is a separate route.

What if I need to return it?

30 days from delivery. Cancelling before it ships costs nothing at all, and on a twelve week cabin there is usually room to change your mind.

Condition required. As new, unused, unassembled and in its original packaging with every component. Once a unit has been sited, connected or assembled it is no longer returnable.

Get an authorisation first. Contact us with your order number, we raise it with ThermaSol, and you ship within 14 days with the authorisation number written on the crate.

What a return costs. A restocking fee of up to 5% may apply and you pay the return freight, which is substantial on a crated sauna. We do not deduct the original outbound shipping. Ask us for an estimate before you commit.

Damaged on arrival is a freight claim, not a return. Note it on the paperwork while the driver is present, photograph it before anything moves, and tell us within 48 hours. Handled that way it costs you nothing.

Refunds. To the original payment method once the unit is received and inspected, normally within 5 to 10 business days.

The short answer

A slatted black frame over a timber deck, built to stand in front of the Nordic Misty row

The Nordic Misty Pergola is the open structure that extends the row forwards rather than sideways. Same black finish, same slatted roof, a timber deck underfoot, and the mounting points the Privacy Fence panels screw into. It is the lowest-cost way to add covered outdoor space to a Nordic Misty installation.

Two footprints

52 or 79 in wide

Both are 79 inches deep and 86 inches high — lower and shallower than the sauna modules, because it stands in front of them.

Weight

386 or 683 lb

Shipping weights. The Small assembles to the same 386 lb; the Medium to 463 lb.

It takes screens

Back and sides

The Nordic Misty Privacy Fence fixes to the back of either size, and to the sides of the Medium with filler pieces.

What it is

Not a wall of the building, a structure in front of it

Nordic Misty Pergola over a deck with a wood-fired tub and seating
Slatted roof, timber deck, and the mounting points the privacy screens use.

Everything else in the Nordic Misty Annex range stands in a row: the sauna, then a Lounge, a Changing Room or a Terrace, side by side on one foundation at a shared depth and height. The Pergola is the exception. It is shorter, shallower and designed to sit in front of the modules, which is why the module manual flags it as the one case where the standard transport-bracket connection does not apply.

What you get is a four-post black frame with a slatted roof and a timber deck. Open on every side as supplied, shaded rather than sheltered, and sized to pair with the privacy screens that turn one or more faces solid.

Like every exterior timber in the range it will take on a grey tint in roughly a year depending on sun exposure, and resin can weep from knots. That is what outdoor wood does; it is not a manufacturing defect and it is not covered.

Small or medium

Pick the size, then buy the matching screen

The Small is 52 inches wide, the Medium 79. Both are 79 inches deep and 86 inches high.

The size you pick also decides which Privacy Fence fits, because the screens are made to the pergola's own widths: the Small Privacy Fence suits the Small Pergola, the Medium suits the Medium. The Medium Pergola is the more flexible of the two — its sides are slightly wider than its back, so a screen mounted on a side needs the two filler pieces that ship with the Medium Fence, and the Medium Fence can be hung either vertically or horizontally.

There is no door hand and no entrance count to choose. The Pergola is open.

How it goes in

The foundation rules are the same as the rest of the range

Kirami's instruction across the Nordic Misty modules is that they are never placed directly on the ground. The recommended build is concrete slabs on a hard surface to lift the structure clear, bitumen roofing felt over the full width of each slab, and a durable grid over the slabs to bring everything level. Screw piles are the alternative, with the model chosen for soil type and frost depth on professional advice.

If you are insulating the base, the guidance is at least 5 to 10 cm of ground frost insulation under the gravel. Keep tall grass clear of the lower timbers: the manual names it as a contributor to rot because it stops the wood breathing.

The Pergola's own connection is the exception to the module rules. Where the other modules are joined with filler pieces between transport brackets and a U-profile sheet across the roof joint, the manual singles out the pergola-in-front case as the one where that method does not apply. If a Pergola is going in alongside a module order, have the installer read that page before the delivery date rather than after.

Buyer questions

What people ask before ordering a Pergola

Pergola or Terrace?

A Terrace is a module in the row: full module depth and height, a solid roof, joined to the sauna. A Pergola stands in front of the row, is shorter and shallower, and has a slatted roof that shades rather than sheds water. The Terrace is the weatherproof one. The Pergola is the one that takes privacy screens and extends the usable area forwards.

Does it keep rain off?

The roof is slatted, so it provides shade and breaks up direct sun rather than keeping a deck dry. If you need a dry area, that is a Terrace.

Which Privacy Fence fits?

The screens are made to the pergola's widths: the Small Fence for the Small Pergola, the Medium Fence for the Medium. The Medium Fence also ships with two filler pieces, which are used only when the screen is mounted on a side wall of the Medium Pergola, because the sides are slightly wider than the back.

Can it stand on its own, away from the sauna?

Physically yes — it is a free-standing frame on a deck, not something that bolts to a module. The foundation rules are the same wherever you put it. It is designed as part of a Nordic Misty installation and that is how it is photographed, but nothing about it requires a sauna.

What is the lead time?

About 12 weeks. Made to order in Finland and shipped to the US, which is why we take these as preorders rather than showing stock we do not have.

How is it delivered?

386 lb for the Small and 683 lb for the Medium on the truck. ThermaSol notifies customers two weeks before the scheduled pickup. These are the lightest of the Nordic Misty modules, so offloading with three or four people is realistic without hired equipment. Once delivery is made and offloading has begun the carrier is no longer responsible, so inspect before anything comes off the truck.

What is the warranty?

One year from ThermaSol, from substantial project completion. Kirami's own warranty in Europe is 24 months on materials and manufacturing defects, and six months for commercial use, but your contract as a US buyer is with ThermaSol and their term is the one that applies. Colour change, moisture movement, cracking, normal wear and frost damage are excluded under Kirami's terms, and a self-attempted repair voids the warranty.
