How does delivery work?
How does delivery work?
Free shipping to the contiguous 48 states on every Saunum heater, AirSolo and AirIQ control, and on any order above our free shipping threshold. A smaller accessory ordered below the threshold carries a flat charge, shown at checkout before you pay.
Ships from Wheeling, Illinois. We do not ship Saunum to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico.
Heaters come by freight. The Air, Air L and Air Perfect ship palletized. The carrier calls to book a window, someone has to sign, and the delivery is curbside rather than inside, so plan for two people to carry it in.
Smaller items come by parcel. The AirSolo, the AirIQ control, stones and safety rails travel by ground parcel with no appointment, and they can arrive on a different day from the heater.
Stones ship in their own boxes. 33 pounds each: 4 boxes for an Air or Air Perfect, 6 for an Air L. Stones added from a Saunum heater's page ship free with that heater.
When it ships. The estimate on each product page is the distributor's usual dispatch time for stocked items. We confirm stock with the distributor when you order, and if your model is out of stock we tell you the new date before anything ships. Working to a deadline? Ask us first.
If it arrives damaged. Note it on the delivery paperwork, photograph the carton and the contents, and report it within 48 hours of delivery, before the heater is installed. Saunum's warranty excludes transport damage. Refuse a punctured or crushed pallet and call us while the driver is there.
Not included: the electrical work. A certified electrician hardwires the heater to 240 V through the AirIQ control unit, and the AirSolo to 120 V.

Heaters: 2 years in a private sauna. The Air, Air L and Air Perfect, from your purchase date. The manual that ships with the heater gives no commercial term, so ask us before buying for a gym, spa or rental.
AutoLeil. 2 years in a private sauna, labor excluded.
AirSolo and AirIQ. 2 years in a home sauna and 1 year in a commercial or public one. The AirSolo cover includes labor and spare parts. The AirIQ cover is parts, for the first installation and the original purchaser.
Excluded on the heaters. Labor, the heating elements and the salt spheres, plus wear, transport damage, misuse, improper installation, repairs outside Saunum's repair partners, and stones or salt spheres Saunum does not recommend.
Two conditions decide every claim. A completed installation report goes in with the claim, and the product must have been connected by a qualified electrician. The report form is in the back of the manual, so keep a copy.
Delivery damage. Report it within 48 hours of delivery, with photographs and before installing, because transport damage is not a warranty matter.
Who handles it. Claims go to Saunum's US technical support at Bathing Brands, and we take them there for you. Call (888) 500-5675 with your order number, model, serial number and photographs.

30 days from purchase. On a Saunum heater, AirSolo, AirIQ control or accessory that is new, uninstalled and resalable, in the original packaging with all parts. We handle the return, so you do not contact Saunum or the distributor.
Installed means final. A heater that has been wired in, switched on or loaded with stones cannot go back, and neither can an AirIQ or AirSolo that has been wired in, or an accessory that has been fitted.
What it costs. Full credit for the product, less a repackaging fee of 20 to 50 dollars depending on the item. There is no percentage restocking fee on a standard return.
Who pays the freight. You do on a change of mind. We cover it when the cause is shipping damage or our error. We never deduct the cost of free shipping from your refund, but shipping you paid at checkout is not refunded on a change of mind return.
Damaged on arrival. Note it on the delivery receipt before signing, photograph it, and report it within 48 hours of delivery, before the product is installed.
Stones. Not returnable once a box is opened, since stone is sold by weight.
Cancelling before it ships. No fee before we send the order to the distributor. After that an administrative fee of up to 5 percent may apply, and we waive it when we are not charged ourselves.
To start a return. Call (888) 500-5675 for a Return Authorization number before anything ships back. Refunds go to the original payment method within 7 business days of the return being received and inspected.

Saunum AutoLeil automatic water dispenser
The AutoLeil throws water on the stones of a Saunum heater for you, either to hold a humidity level you choose or in measured splashes on a timer. A wooden button inside the sauna adds a splash whenever you press it.
Saunum's current US AirIQ manual covers the AutoLeil for the Air, Air L and Air Perfect: it connects to the second data terminal on the AirIQ power unit, and its settings appear on the AirIQ touch panel. The panel needs Saunum's latest software, which the manual says to download over Wi-Fi at installation; we confirm the control and the connection for your heater before the order ships.
The kit has no screen of its own; its settings appear as an extra row on the touch panel, where you choose automatic humidity or timed splashes for each sauna type. A wall sensor reads the humidity and a valve sends water to a nozzle over the stones. It suits the Saunum sauna heaters with an AirIQ control. The AirSolo has its own switch and cannot run it.
The pipe to the stones is not in the box: add the pre-bent AutoLeil pipe, plus an extra AutoLeil button for a second press point.

What the AutoLeil needs before it ships
The AutoLeil is a plumbing and wiring job as much as an accessory. Here is what Saunum's US manual calls for.
Your heater and control
The connection is printed in the manual for an Air Perfect sauna heater. On the Air and Air L it uses the same AirIQ terminal, shown in Saunum's current US AirIQ wiring diagram.
Supplied by you or your installer
- Pipe: the pre-bent AutoLeil pipe, or a copper or stainless steel pipe of 10 mm (0.39 in) outside diameter bent on site, held with metal fasteners. Any piping near the heater must be heat resistant.
- Water line: a G3/4 supply at no more than 4 bar and 140°F, fed by a hose that is not included. Fit a shut-off tap and close it after every session.
- Location: a dry room outside the sauna with a floor drain, kept above 32°F so the line cannot freeze. The valve mounts below the control unit.
- Trades: a licensed electrician for the control unit, which runs on 100 to 240 VAC, and a plumber for the pressurized water connection and the leak test the manual asks for.
Placement in the sauna
- Nozzle: centered 5.9 to 11.8 in above the stones.
- Humidity sensor: on the wall opposite the heater, 59 to 67 in up, clear of bench supports.
- Button: inside the sauna, at least 11.8 in below the ceiling, on a wall out of the way of splashes.
The AutoLeil carries Saunum's own terms, the same two years in a private sauna as the heaters. Our Saunum warranty policy explains the installation report a claim needs.

AutoLeil questions buyers ask
Will the AutoLeil work with my Saunum heater?
Yes, on the Air, Air L and Air Perfect. Saunum's current US AirIQ manual wires it to the AirIQ power unit's second data terminal, and the AirIQ panel needs the latest Saunum software, downloaded over Wi-Fi when the control is installed. It does not work with the AirSolo, which has no AirIQ control.
Is a pipe included with the AutoLeil?
No. Saunum includes the spray nozzle and leaves the piping to the installer. Order the pre-bent AutoLeil pipe, which clamps to the wall beside the heater, or have a 10 mm copper or stainless steel pipe bent on site.
How does the AutoLeil automatic humidity mode work?
You set a target between 5 and 60 percent relative humidity and a session of 1 to 30 minutes. The AutoLeil sprays at intervals until the room reaches the target, then again when it drops 5 points below. Hotter rooms allow less: the manual caps a 158°F sauna at 30 percent.
What does the AutoLeil button do?
Hold it for about three seconds to switch the AutoLeil session on or off; a light shows which state it is in. While the session is on, each press throws the preset splash on the stones, with a 10 second pause between splashes. Up to four buttons can join one system.
How does the AutoLeil ship?
The AutoLeil ships by ground parcel from the distributor's warehouse in Wheeling, Illinois. Ordered with a heater, it travels separately and can arrive on a different day, so plan the water line and wiring before both arrive.
