How does delivery work?
How does delivery work?
Free shipping to the contiguous 48 states on every Saunum heater, AirSolo and AirIQ control, and on any order above our free shipping threshold. A smaller accessory ordered below the threshold carries a flat charge, shown at checkout before you pay.
Ships from Wheeling, Illinois. We do not ship Saunum to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico.
Heaters come by freight. The Air, Air L and Air Perfect ship palletized. The carrier calls to book a window, someone has to sign, and the delivery is curbside rather than inside, so plan for two people to carry it in.
Smaller items come by parcel. The AirSolo, the AirIQ control, stones and safety rails travel by ground parcel with no appointment, and they can arrive on a different day from the heater.
Stones ship in their own boxes. 33 pounds each: 4 boxes for an Air or Air Perfect, 6 for an Air L. Stones added from a Saunum heater's page ship free with that heater.
When it ships. The estimate on each product page is the distributor's usual dispatch time for stocked items. We confirm stock with the distributor when you order, and if your model is out of stock we tell you the new date before anything ships. Working to a deadline? Ask us first.
If it arrives damaged. Note it on the delivery paperwork, photograph the carton and the contents, and report it within 48 hours of delivery, before the heater is installed. Saunum's warranty excludes transport damage. Refuse a punctured or crushed pallet and call us while the driver is there.
Not included: the electrical work. A certified electrician hardwires the heater to 240 V through the AirIQ control unit, and the AirSolo to 120 V.

Heaters: 2 years in a private sauna. The Air, Air L and Air Perfect, from your purchase date. The manual that ships with the heater gives no commercial term, so ask us before buying for a gym, spa or rental.
AutoLeil. 2 years in a private sauna, labor excluded.
AirSolo and AirIQ. 2 years in a home sauna and 1 year in a commercial or public one. The AirSolo cover includes labor and spare parts. The AirIQ cover is parts, for the first installation and the original purchaser.
Excluded on the heaters. Labor, the heating elements and the salt spheres, plus wear, transport damage, misuse, improper installation, repairs outside Saunum's repair partners, and stones or salt spheres Saunum does not recommend.
Two conditions decide every claim. A completed installation report goes in with the claim, and the product must have been connected by a qualified electrician. The report form is in the back of the manual, so keep a copy.
Delivery damage. Report it within 48 hours of delivery, with photographs and before installing, because transport damage is not a warranty matter.
Who handles it. Claims go to Saunum's US technical support at Bathing Brands, and we take them there for you. Call (888) 500-5675 with your order number, model, serial number and photographs.

30 days from purchase. On a Saunum heater, AirSolo, AirIQ control or accessory that is new, uninstalled and resalable, in the original packaging with all parts. We handle the return, so you do not contact Saunum or the distributor.
Installed means final. A heater that has been wired in, switched on or loaded with stones cannot go back, and neither can an AirIQ or AirSolo that has been wired in, or an accessory that has been fitted.
What it costs. Full credit for the product, less a repackaging fee of 20 to 50 dollars depending on the item. There is no percentage restocking fee on a standard return.
Who pays the freight. You do on a change of mind. We cover it when the cause is shipping damage or our error. We never deduct the cost of free shipping from your refund, but shipping you paid at checkout is not refunded on a change of mind return.
Damaged on arrival. Note it on the delivery receipt before signing, photograph it, and report it within 48 hours of delivery, before the product is installed.
Stones. Not returnable once a box is opened, since stone is sold by weight.
Cancelling before it ships. No fee before we send the order to the distributor. After that an administrative fee of up to 5 percent may apply, and we waive it when we are not charged ourselves.
To start a return. Call (888) 500-5675 for a Return Authorization number before anything ships back. Refunds go to the original payment method within 7 business days of the return being received and inspected.

Airflow accessory
Saunum Air deflector
A steel hood for the low air outlet at the base of a Saunum heater, which Saunum makes to turn the outlet air away from the feet of a bather sitting close by. It comes in two versions: one for the Air and Air L, one for the Air Perfect.
Pick the version by heater family. The Air and Air L deflector is a black steel guide that hooks onto the bottom outlet, and Saunum titles its install sheet for both of those heaters. The Air Perfect deflector is a different, curved hood that sits with the bottom front panel of the Saunum Air Perfect 7 sauna heater and the Air Perfect 10. The two do not swap between families.
This is not the heat deflector plate above the heating elements. That plate is part of the heater and goes in when the heater is installed. The outlet deflector on this page is an extra: the Air, Air L and Air Perfect manuals all list the bottom air deflector among the parts that are not in the heater package.

Fitting the Air and Air L deflector
Saunum's four-picture sheet shows the outlet grille at the foot of the heater tipped down, the guide hooked on, and the guide pressed into place. It carries three warnings: turn the heater off at the breaker, let it cool down, and wear gloves so the steel edges do not cut you.
The Air Perfect deflector
We hold no separate install sheet for this part. The Air Perfect manual places it at the bottom front panel: after loading or removing salt spheres, it tells you to put the air deflector back in position before the panel goes back on. Saunum's photos show it as a black curved hood.
- With either part fitted, keep feet, other body parts and any obstruction at least 20 in from the front of the air outlet while the fan runs.
- Bathing Brands' heater list names this deflector as an option for the Air 5 and Air 7, while Saunum titles its install sheet for the Air and Air L. We sell the same part for the Saunum Air L 10 sauna heater and the rest of the Air L family.

Which Saunum Air deflector do I need?
Go by heater family. The Air 5, Air 7, Air L 10, Air L 13 and Air L 15 take the Air and Air L deflector, part 4745090010473. The Air Perfect 7 and Air Perfect 10 take the Air Perfect deflector, part 4745090010930. They are different shapes and do not interchange, so pick the one that matches your heater.
Is the Saunum Air deflector the heat deflector inside the heater?
No. The heat deflector plate sits above the heating elements inside the heater and is fitted at installation as part of the heater itself. This accessory is the bottom air deflector, a separate hood for the low air outlet, which the manuals list as not included with the heater.
Does the Saunum Air deflector let me place the bench closer to the heater?
No. The deflector changes the direction of the outlet air, not the manuals' rules. The side and front distances to combustible materials stay as printed for your heater, and the 20 in rule in front of the air outlet still applies to feet, other body parts and any obstruction while the fan is running.
Is the Saunum Air deflector included with a Saunum heater?
No. The Air, Air L and Air Perfect manuals each list the bottom air deflector among the elements that are not part of the heater package, together with the safety rail, the supply cables and the stones. Order it here in the version for your heater.
How does the Saunum Air deflector ship?
By ground parcel from the distributor in Wheeling, Illinois, so it can arrive apart from a heater, which travels by freight. Saunum's US manuals give no separate warranty term for this part, so ask us before you buy if cover matters.
