How does delivery work?
How does delivery work?
Freight, quoted for your address. These are crated units of roughly 1,300 to 4,800 pounds going to residential addresses, so there is no flat rate. Send us your postcode before you order and we will come back with a real figure.
The outdoor cabins arrive fully assembled. All eight travel as one piece, so there is no build on your weekend, but a forklift or crane has to reach the pad. Measure the gate, the side return and anything overhead first.
The indoor cabins arrive in panels. The Lumaria, Aalto and Astra are built in place by two to four people. What matters is the route in, not the room itself.
Delivery is curbside and someone has to be there. The carrier calls to book a window and brings it to the kerb or driveway. Moving it onto the pad is yours to arrange.
Inspect before you sign. Note any damage on the delivery paperwork while the driver is there, photograph everything, and tell us within 48 hours. Refuse a structurally damaged crate and call us.
Lead times. Twelve weeks on every outdoor cabin, four to eight on the three indoor models, built to order from the day you order.
What does the warranty cover?
What does the warranty cover?
Two warranties, not one. ThermaSol covers the sauna room and Harvia covers the heater inside it. They differ in length and they are claimed in different places.
The sauna room: 1 year. From substantial project completion, covering defective workmanship and materials such as mis-cuts, rough lumber or knot loss.
The heater, control and power box: 5 years residential. One year in a commercial setting. Stones and heating elements carry one year either way.
Two conditions decide most claims. The room must be registered within 15 days of purchase, and installed by a certified electrician or qualified service representative.
Commercial use voids it. ThermaSol excludes residential units used in any non-residential setting, naming hotels, spas, gyms, health clubs and short-term rentals. Tell us before you order and we will quote a range that is warranted for it.
Who you call. Cabin claims go through ThermaSol and we start them for you. Harvia heaters are serviced by Harvia US directly, which is a separate route.
What if I need to return it?
What if I need to return it?
30 days from delivery. Cancelling before it ships costs nothing at all, and on a twelve week cabin there is usually room to change your mind.
Condition required. As new, unused, unassembled and in its original packaging with every component. Once a unit has been sited, connected or assembled it is no longer returnable.
Get an authorisation first. Contact us with your order number, we raise it with ThermaSol, and you ship within 14 days with the authorisation number written on the crate.
What a return costs. A restocking fee of up to 5% may apply and you pay the return freight, which is substantial on a crated sauna. We do not deduct the original outbound shipping. Ask us for an estimate before you commit.
Damaged on arrival is a freight claim, not a return. Note it on the paperwork while the driver is present, photograph it before anything moves, and tell us within 48 hours. Handled that way it costs you nothing.
Refunds. To the original payment method once the unit is received and inspected, normally within 5 to 10 business days.

The short answer
The ThermaSol Nordic Misty is a Finnish cabin, and the only one here we have real construction data for
Black heat-treated spruce outside, heat-treated aspen inside, under a factory-fitted metal roof. The Nordic Misty is built by Kirami in Finland, and because Kirami publishes what ThermaSol does not, this is the one cabin in the range where we can tell you the interior dimensions and the insulation.
The ground
87 or 60 in wide
Both sizes are 91 inches deep and 100 high. The Medium is 87 inches wide, the Small 60. Door left or right on each.
The room
44.1 or 28.0 sq ft
Kirami's published interior floor areas. The Medium is listed for 4 to 5 people, the Small for 2 to 3.
The circuit
240V, 37.5 or 25 A
The Medium's 9 kW Virta draws 37.5 amps on a minimum 8 AWG feed; the Small's 6 kW Spirit draws 25 amps on 10 AWG.
Inside the cabin
The interior dimensions ThermaSol does not publish, and Kirami does

ThermaSol publishes no interior dimension for any cabin in its range. Kirami, which actually builds this one, publishes them in full. For the Medium the interior is 2,060 by 2,010 mm with an interior height of 2,060 mm in the electric version, giving a floor area of 4.1 square metres, or 44.1 square feet. The Small is 2.6 square metres, 28.0 square feet.
Inside: heat-treated aspen panelling, liftable benches, and LED lighting under the bench and behind the backrest. The glass is double glazed grey tempered with an argon fill, and the door carries a roller latch, a wooden handle and an external lock with a padlock and two keys.
What the two sizes actually mean
Twenty-seven inches of width separates them, and it is the whole decision. The Medium takes a full bench run; the Small is a two-person cabin that happens to be the same depth. Both are 91 inches deep, so if your constraint is depth rather than width, neither helps more than the other.
Who makes it
Built by Kirami in Finland, and badged by ThermaSol
The Nordic Misty is a Kirami FinVision, built by Kirami Oy in Sastamala, Finland. ThermaSol's own installation manual names it as such, and the part numbers match Kirami's published codes exactly.
That matters to a buyer for one practical reason: it means there is a second published source for the construction. Where ThermaSol's page is silent on insulation, roof build-up and interior dimensions, Kirami's documentation gives all three, and this page uses it.
Both companies now sit inside the same group. Harvia acquired Kirami in 2021 and ThermaSol in July 2024, which is also why the heater in this cabin is a Harvia.
Before you order
Five checks that are cheap now and expensive later
1. The base
2,337 pounds assembled for the Medium, 1,808 for the Small. Level, drained, and rated for the load.
2. The approach
Delivered fully assembled with the electrics pre-wired, so a machine has to reach the pad. Measure the gate and the side return.
3. The size
Twenty-seven inches of width is the difference between the two. Decide it on the bench you want rather than on the footprint you can just about fit.
4. The electrician
The cabin arrives pre-wired internally, but the supply to it is still a licensed electrician's job.
5. The door hand
Left and right are separate SKUs at the same price, chosen at order.
How it is built
The construction, from the builder's own documents

The envelope
Walls and ceiling are insulated with aluminium-backed urethane sheets, 30 mm thick. That is a published figure from Kirami, not a description.
The roof
Interlocking sheet metal in black, fitted at the factory. It is the only cabin in ThermaSol's range where the roof construction is actually specified rather than described as durable.
The floor
Heat-treated aspen slats, 28 by 43 mm, over a spruce frame, with a galvanised floor groove and a 50 mm discharge pipe. A sauna floor that is designed to be wet and to drain.
The cladding
Heat-treated spruce in black outside, heat-treated aspen inside. Heat treatment is what makes the spruce dimensionally stable and UV tolerant outdoors without a coating to maintain.
Heater and circuit
Two heaters, and an honest note about where the figures come from
The Medium ships with a Harvia Virta at 9.0 kW and the Small with a Harvia Spirit at 6.0 kW, both on a Harvia CX45 control.
From Harvia's North American manuals: the 9 kW Virta draws 37.5 amps at 240 volts single phase on a minimum 8 AWG conductor; the 6 kW Spirit draws 25.0 amps on a minimum 10 AWG. Both 90 °C copper.
Where these figures come from, and where they do not
Kirami publishes heaters for this cabin for the European market only, on a 400 volt three-phase supply, and attaches a note telling buyers to request a suitable option for their region. There is no published US configuration for the Nordic Misty anywhere. The 9 kW and 6 kW figures above come from ThermaSol's own dealer file, which is the most recent source we hold.
Worth knowing if you read the manual that ships with the cabin: it still prints the European wiring spec, a five-core 2.5 mm cable on 3 by 16 amp fuses. That describes a 400 volt three-phase supply and does not apply to a US installation. The North American table bound into the back of the same document is the one your electrician should work from.
Why there is no breaker size here
Harvia does not publish one. None of the Harvia North American manuals gives a fuse or breaker rating. They publish current draw and a minimum conductor gauge and leave the overcurrent device to the installer, under the NEC and your local code. Harvia does say plainly, in section 3.7, that the heater feed must not run through an RCD or GFI.
Are the heaters the right size
Against Harvia's own published floor-area ranges: the Medium at 44.1 square feet sits comfortably inside the 28 to 79 square foot range for the 9 kW Virta. The Small at 28.0 square feet sits exactly on the 28 square foot floor of the 6 kW Spirit's range. That is the bottom of the band rather than the middle of it. A heater minimum exists to stop a small room overheating rather than to warn of a shortfall, so this is not a safety question, but we would rather you heard it from us than worked it out later.
Running cost
What an hour costs to heat, by size
Across a typical hour, counting the heat-up and the cycling that follows, budget roughly 5.4 kilowatt hours for the Medium and 3.6 for the Small.
At 17 cents a kilowatt hour that is about $0.92 an hour for the Medium and $0.61 for the Small, or near $12 and $8 a month at three one hour sessions a week. Substitute your own utility rate.
What you get
What arrives, and what is separate
In the delivery
The assembled cabin in your chosen size and door hand, pre-wired internally, with the Harvia heater and CX45 control fitted and the bench and backrest LED lighting installed. The Nordic Misty is also the only ThermaSol cabin that bundles the Onyx Deluxe Accessory Kit.
Not in the delivery
The base, the electrical supply and the electrician, the machine that lifts it into place, and site preparation. Freight is quoted rather than published, so talk to us before ordering and we will get a real number for your address.
Delivery and siting
It arrives built and pre-wired

The Nordic Misty leaves Finland finished. The internal electrics are already run, so the work on site is the supply to the cabin, levelling, and filling the stone basket.
What it asks of you is machine access: one unit of up to 2,557 pounds, 91 inches deep, that has to reach the pad. Measure the route before you order rather than after the truck is booked.
Leave service access to the heater once it is down. An installation that prevents it is excluded from the warranty.

Where the Nordic Misty sits in ThermaSol's outdoor range
| Model | Exterior | Interior | People | Heater |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Nordic Misty Medium | 87 × 91 in | 44.1 sq ft | 4 to 5 | Virta 9.0 kW |
| Nordic Misty Small | 60 × 91 in | 28.0 sq ft | 2 to 3 | Spirit 6.0 kW |

| Ombra | 130 × 91 in | 80 sq ft | 4 to 5 | Virta 10.5 kW |
The Nordic Misty and the Nordic Dawn are the two Finnish cabins, and they are the only ones where the construction is documented by the builder rather than described by the badge. Against the Spectra and the Ombra the trade is different: those are larger rooms with published interior areas and a spec sheet, where the Nordic Misty gives you a known build-up and a known insulation thickness.
Buyer questions
ThermaSol Nordic Misty questions buyers ask before ordering
Who actually makes it?
Kirami Oy, in Sastamala, Finland. It is sold there as the Kirami FinVision sauna M Misty and S Misty. ThermaSol's own installation manual names Kirami, and the part numbers match Kirami's published codes exactly. Both companies now sit inside the Harvia group.
What is the interior size?
The Medium is 2,060 by 2,010 mm with a 2,060 mm interior height, which is 44.1 square feet of floor. The Small is 28.0 square feet. Those figures come from Kirami rather than ThermaSol, which publishes no interior dimension for any cabin in its range.
What size breaker does it need?
Harvia does not publish one and neither will we. The Medium's 9 kW Virta draws 37.5 amps at 240 volts single phase on a minimum 8 AWG conductor; the Small's 6 kW Spirit draws 25 amps on 10 AWG. Your licensed electrician sizes the overcurrent device to that load under the NEC and your local code.
The manual mentions 3 by 16 amp fuses. Is that right for my house?
No. That is the European specification and it describes a 400 volt three-phase supply. It is printed in the manual ThermaSol ships to US buyers, which is unhelpful, and the North American table bound into the back of the same document is the one that applies. Give your electrician the 240 volt figures.
Is the 6 kW heater big enough for the Small?
It is the heater Kirami and ThermaSol specify, and the Small's 28.0 square feet sits exactly on the 28 square foot floor of Harvia's published range for that heater. That is the bottom of the band rather than the middle. A heater minimum exists to stop a small room overheating rather than to flag a shortfall, so it is not a safety question, but you should know the figure is at the edge rather than in the middle.
Do you sell the wood-burning version?
Not at present. ThermaSol offers wood-burning variants of this cabin fitted with a Harvia Legend stove, and those stoves carry CE and EAC marks rather than a US listing. We have chosen not to list them until that is resolved, because an unlisted solid-fuel appliance is a difficult conversation with a local inspector. The electric versions on this page are unaffected.
How is it insulated?
Aluminium-backed urethane sheets, 30 mm thick, in the walls and ceiling, under a factory-fitted interlocking sheet metal roof. That is published by Kirami. It is the only ThermaSol cabin where the build-up is specified rather than described.
What is the warranty?
One year on the sauna room from ThermaSol, from substantial project completion, and five years on the Harvia heater, control and power box in a residential setting. Kirami's own warranty in Europe is 24 months, but your contract as a US buyer is with ThermaSol and their term is the one that applies.
Can I put it in a rental?
No. ThermaSol's warranty excludes residential units used in any non residential setting, naming hotels, spas, gyms, health clubs and short term rentals specifically.
Is the Nordic Misty certified?
The Harvia heaters fitted inside are ETL Listed to UL 875, the US standard for electric dry bath heaters. No certification is published for the structure itself, which is normal in this category. A listed heater does not make the structure listed, because UL 875 treats the two as separate things.
