Professional Setup & Assembly Services
From a Pallet at the Curb to Ready to Use, Without Lifting a Thing
Here's the part nobody mentions until checkout: large recovery equipment, from a sauna to a cold plunge or a massage chair, usually arrives strapped to a pallet at the end of your driveway. Between that pallet and your first session there's carrying, unboxing, and often a full assembly job. Professional Setup & Assembly closes that gap: you request a quote, we coordinate the crew, and your equipment is placed in the room you choose, assembled where it needs it, and every box is hauled away.
Three Levels of Delivery, Explained Honestly
Most orders ship free across the lower 48. What happens after the truck pulls up is where the levels differ.
Curbside Delivery
What "free freight delivery" actually means, in plain terms:
- Palletized equipment delivered to the curb (liftgate not included as standard)
- Placed at the end of your driveway or curb
- You inspect and sign at delivery
- Carrying inside, unboxing, and assembly are up to you
Threshold / Inside Delivery
Offered by some carriers on some routes. Call to check yours:
- Brought through your first doorway or into the garage
- No stairs beyond entry level in most cases
- You skip the driveway-to-door carry
- Still no unboxing, assembly, or debris removal
Professional Setup & Assembly
Quoted for your address. Room of choice, built where needed, mess gone:
- In-home placement in the room where it will live
- Unboxing, and full assembly where your equipment needs it
- All packaging and debris removed
- Coverage for your exact address confirmed in your quote
Professional Setup & Assembly
One service for everything we set up, priced for your equipment and your address. Request a setup quote from your equipment's product page, with the form below, or by phone.
What's included
- Inside delivery to the room you choose, with a larger crew and more time on site for big builds
- Unboxing, precise positioning, and leveling
- Full assembly to the manufacturer's instructions where your equipment needs it, from sauna panels, benches, heater and glass door to massage chairs and plunge stairs
- Equipment to equipment hookups that need no tools on your home, such as chiller hoses on quick-connect fittings
- Plugged into your existing standard outlet where applicable, with power-on confirmation
- Every box, pallet, and wrap hauled away

Delivery & Assembly Questions, Answered
What's included in Professional Setup & Assembly?
A professional crew brings your equipment inside to the room where it will live, unboxes and positions it, assembles it to the manufacturer's instructions where your equipment needs assembly, and removes all packaging and debris before leaving. Where it applies, the crew also makes equipment to equipment connections that need no tools on your home, such as chiller hoses on a cold plunge's quick-connect fittings, and plugs the equipment into an existing standard outlet to confirm it powers on. Electrical and plumbing work isn't included. Every job is quoted for your equipment and your address through the quote form on this page.
Do you assemble the equipment, or just deliver it?
Both. Free curbside delivery is delivery only: your equipment arrives on a pallet at the end of your driveway. Professional Setup & Assembly goes further, with in-home placement, unboxing, and positioning for everything we set up, plus complete assembly for equipment that needs it, such as sauna kits and massage chairs. Your quote sets out exactly what the crew will do for your equipment and your site. Every job ends with a full cleanup; the team hauls the boxes, pallet, and wrap away.
Who actually performs the work?
The work isn't done by Recovery Room Direct employees. Depending on your equipment, it is performed by independent assembly professionals covered by commercial insurance or their platform's service guarantee program, matched through our service partners, or by specialized in-home delivery carriers we contract on your route. Vetting and background checks are handled by those partner platforms and carriers. We coordinate the whole thing: one point of contact, one phone number.
Does the service include electrical or plumbing work?
No. Assembly teams never wire, hardwire, plumb, or connect anything to your home's electrical, plumbing, or gas systems. Most traditional and larger infrared saunas, and some other large equipment, require a dedicated circuit (the exact specification is listed on your product page), and that electrical installation must be completed by a licensed electrician you hire directly. Any plumbing connection is completed by a licensed plumber you hire directly. Many customers have the circuit ready before assembly day, so the electrician just connects the equipment after the team finishes.
How does scheduling work?
Request a setup quote from your equipment's product page, the form on this page, or by phone. We confirm coverage for your exact address and send your price, including any access surcharges (stairs beyond one flight, long carries, remote ZIP codes), for you to approve before anything is dispatched, never invoiced afterward. After your equipment arrives, we call you to lock in your appointment date. Your appointment is booked once you approve the date and site readiness checklist by email.
What areas do you cover?
Professional Setup & Assembly is available across most of the contiguous 48 states, with coverage strongest in and around metro areas. Because professional and carrier networks vary by ZIP code, we confirm coverage for your exact address as part of your quote. Alaska, Hawaii, and international addresses aren't covered.
What if something gets damaged during delivery or assembly?
Every job starts with pre-service photos, which cleanly separates freight damage from assembly damage. Damage that appears in the pre-service photos is handled as a freight claim; damage that occurs during the service is covered through the assigned provider's or carrier's insurance and resolution process. Either way, you don't chase anyone alone: report it to us and we help you document and file the claim.
Can I request setup after I've already ordered?
Yes. Call us with your order number or use the quote form on this page any time until your equipment ships, and once you approve the quote we add the service to your existing order. The window closes when your equipment ships; after that we can refer you to local professionals you hire directly.
Can I get a refund or reschedule my service?
Yes. The service fee is fully refundable any time before your appointment is booked; booked means your appointment date is locked after you confirm it by email. After booking, rescheduling or cancelling 48 hours or more before your appointment is free (a full refund if you cancel). Within 48 hours of the appointment, or if your site is not ready when the team arrives, a $75 rebooking fee applies (refund minus $75 if you cancel). If your equipment order is cancelled or returned before the service is performed, the service fee is refunded automatically on the same ladder. Once completion is confirmed, the fee is non-refundable, except that if your equipment is returned for a defect, the service fee is refunded or credited even after completion. Full details are in the Assembly & Delivery Services Terms.
Do you handle commercial and multi-room recovery projects?
Yes. Gyms, med spas, physical therapy clinics, hotels, and teams building full recovery rooms are quoted individually, based on equipment count, building access, and COI requirements. Fill out the quote form on this page and we'll come back with a custom quote, typically within a couple of days.

Assembly & Delivery Services Terms
Version 1.4 · Effective October 28, 2026 · Binding for all assembly & delivery service purchases
These terms apply to optional assembly and delivery services, including Professional Setup & Assembly, that you purchase from Recovery Room Direct by quote. They do not affect your rights regarding the equipment itself, which is covered by our standard shipping policy, return policy, and warranty coverage.
1. Scope of Services
These terms govern the optional assembly and delivery services that Recovery Room Direct ("we," "us") provides by written quote for eligible equipment. The service you purchase is the one described in the written quote we send you for your equipment and your address. Every service we quote is subject to the following scope:
“This service covers unboxing, in-home placement, and assembly of freestanding equipment only, plus packaging removal. It includes equipment-to-equipment connections that require no tools on your home, such as connecting chiller hoses to a cold plunge's quick-connect fittings. Where your equipment operates on an existing standard household outlet, the team will plug it in and confirm it powers on; equipment requiring a dedicated circuit or hardwired power is commissioned by your licensed electrician after assembly. Our assembly teams do not anchor, mount, bolt, wire, plumb, cut, drill, or otherwise attach anything to your home or its electrical, plumbing, or gas systems. Any electrical or plumbing connection your equipment requires (including dedicated circuits and hardwired hookups) must be completed by a licensed electrician or plumber that you hire directly. Recovery Room Direct is a retailer; we are not a licensed home improvement contractor and do not perform, offer, or arrange construction, installation, or home improvement services.”
Within that scope, and depending on your equipment and your site, the service can include:
- Inside delivery to the room you choose.
- Unboxing, positioning, and leveling.
- Full assembly to the manufacturer's instructions where your equipment needs it.
- Equipment to equipment connections that need no tools on your home, such as chiller hoses on quick-connect fittings.
- Plugging the equipment into an existing standard outlet where applicable, with power-on confirmation.
- Removal of all packaging and debris.
Your written quote sets out what the team will do for your equipment and your site. For hyperbaric chambers, the team positions the chamber and connects its included compressor to a standard outlet; chamber pressurization and session setup are not part of the service. For heavier crated cold plunges, connecting the cooling unit to the tub and filling the tub are not part of the service. Electrical and plumbing work is excluded from every service.
How your quote works. Every service is quoted individually. We price it for your equipment and your address, taking into account the equipment's weight, its crate size, the work involved, and the access at your site.
- 1. You request a quote. Use Request a setup quote on your equipment's product page, the quote form on this page, or call us. Tell us what you are setting up, where it is going, and the access at your site.
- 2. We confirm coverage and your price. We confirm that we can serve your exact address and send you a written quote with your price, including any access needs such as stairs beyond one flight, long carries, or a remote ZIP code. Nothing is dispatched before you approve it.
- 3. You approve the quote. You approve your quote by email or in writing.
- 4. We add the service to your order. We add the service to your order at the quoted price, and you pay the service fee.
- 5. We book your date. After your equipment arrives, we call you to set your appointment date. Your appointment is booked once you confirm the date and the site readiness checklist by email.
You can request a quote any time until your equipment ships. The service must be arranged before your equipment ships and cannot be added once it has shipped.
2. Independent Service Providers
Assembly and delivery services are performed by independent service providers (third-party professionals, service platforms, and final-mile carriers) who are not our employees or agents. We do not supervise, direct, or control the manner or means of their work. Our role is limited to quoting the service, arranging the booking, and collecting payment for the service on your behalf.
We remain fully responsible to you for the product you purchased and for its manufacturer warranty, exactly as described in our standard policies. The servicing provider is responsible for the services it performs at your home.
3. Insurance & Damage Claims
Claims for damage arising from the performance of the services are handled through the servicing provider's commercial insurance or, where the provider is matched through a service platform, that platform's guarantee program. Platform guarantee programs have their own conditions, coverage limits, and claim windows, which are set by the platform and may change; we encourage you to review them before your appointment, and we will help you route and file your claim with the correct party.
To protect your claim, report any damage, loss, or injury to us promptly; within 72 hours of service completion, with photos, is safest. Later reports may fall outside a provider's or platform's claim window.
Providers photograph the packaging, components, and the delivery path and work area before beginning work. Damage that is documented in these pre-service photos is handled as a freight or carrier claim under our standard shipping policy. Damage that is not present in the pre-service photos and is identified at completion is handled as a claim against the servicing provider as described above.
4. Site Readiness & Access
You are responsible for having the site ready on the day of your appointment:
- Provide accurate access information when you request your quote and when booking (floors, stairs, elevator availability, door widths, parking, and any building requirements).
- Ensure a clear path from the delivery point to the room where the equipment will be placed.
- Confirm that the floor or surface where the equipment will be placed can support its assembled weight (and, for water-filled equipment, its filled weight). Assembly teams position equipment where you direct and do not evaluate structural capacity.
- Have an adult (18+) present for the entire appointment.
- Keep children and pets clear of the delivery path and work area for the entire appointment.
- Where your equipment requires a dedicated electrical circuit, have that circuit installed by your own licensed electrician before the appointment. The assembly team will not perform electrical work of any kind.
If site conditions not disclosed in your quote request increase the work required (for example stairs beyond one flight, long carries, or remote locations), any surcharge is quoted to you and requires your approval before the team is dispatched. We never bill surcharges after the fact.
If the site is not ready when the team arrives (for example, no clear path, no adult present, or a required dedicated circuit not yet in place), or if conditions are unsafe for the team, the appointment may be ended and rescheduled, and the $75 rebooking fee applies.
5. Scheduling, Cancellation & Refunds
We confirm service coverage for your exact address before we send your quote. If we cannot serve your address, we let you know, and there is no charge.
Your service fee follows this refund ladder:
- Fully refundable until booked. "Booked" means your appointment date has been locked in after you confirm the date and the site readiness checklist by email.
- Reschedule or cancel 48 hours or more before your appointment: no charge.
- Reschedule or cancel within 48 hours of your appointment: a $75 rebooking fee applies (refund less the $75 fee if you cancel).
- Non-refundable once completion is confirmed (see Section 6).
If your equipment order is cancelled or returned for any reason before the service has been performed, the service fee is automatically refunded according to its position on the ladder above.
Manufacturing-defect exception. If your equipment is returned because of a verified manufacturing defect, your service fee is refunded in full or, at your option, credited toward reassembly of the replacement unit, even after the service has been completed.
Provider no-show. If a provider misses a confirmed appointment, we will rebook you immediately at no cost or, at your option after one missed appointment, refund the service fee in full. We are not liable for consequential costs associated with a missed or rescheduled appointment, such as time taken off work, other trades you scheduled, or storage costs.
6. Completion & Acceptance
At the end of the appointment, you (or your designated representative) inspect the work and confirm completion. Your confirmation covers assembly workmanship only. It does not cover the electrical function of equipment that is awaiting hookup by your electrician, which can only be evaluated after your electrician completes the connection.
If we do not hear from you within 72 hours of our completion notice, the service is deemed accepted. Acceptance, whether confirmed or deemed, does not waive your right to file a damage claim with the servicing provider within its applicable claim window (see Section 3).
7. Electrical & Plumbing
Assembly teams never perform electrical or plumbing work. Any electrical or plumbing connection your equipment requires (including dedicated circuits, hardwired hookups, and water or drain lines) must be completed by a licensed electrician or plumber that you hire directly. Equipment requiring dedicated or hardwired power is commissioned by your electrician after assembly is complete.
8. Commercial Premises
Services purchased for commercial premises (gyms, studios, clinics, spas, hotels, offices, and other non-residential locations) are governed by a separate commercial services agreement arranged through our commercial team. These consumer terms do not apply to commercial engagements. To arrange commercial service, use the quote form on this page or contact our commercial team using the details in Section 11.
9. Agreement & Acceptance of These Terms
Purchasing an assembly or delivery service constitutes your acceptance of these terms. You accept these terms by approving your written quote by email or in writing, or by paying for the service. The version and effective date of these terms are shown at the top and foot of this section.
We may update these terms for future purchases; the version in effect when you accepted these terms, shown at the top and foot of these terms, is the version that applies to your service.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability in connection with the services is limited to the amount you paid for the service. To the same extent, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the services. Nothing in these terms limits liability for gross negligence or willful misconduct. Some states do not allow certain limitations or releases of liability, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
