How does delivery work?
How does delivery work?
Freight, quoted for your address. These are crated units of roughly 1,300 to 4,800 pounds going to residential addresses, so there is no flat rate. Send us your postcode before you order and we will come back with a real figure.
The outdoor cabins arrive fully assembled. All eight travel as one piece, so there is no build on your weekend, but a forklift or crane has to reach the pad. Measure the gate, the side return and anything overhead first.
The indoor cabins arrive in panels. The Lumaria, Aalto and Astra are built in place by two to four people. What matters is the route in, not the room itself.
Delivery is curbside and someone has to be there. The carrier calls to book a window and brings it to the kerb or driveway. Moving it onto the pad is yours to arrange.
Inspect before you sign. Note any damage on the delivery paperwork while the driver is there, photograph everything, and tell us within 48 hours. Refuse a structurally damaged crate and call us.
Lead times. Twelve weeks on every outdoor cabin, four to eight on the three indoor models, built to order from the day you order.
What does the warranty cover?
What does the warranty cover?
Two warranties, not one. ThermaSol covers the sauna room and Harvia covers the heater inside it. They differ in length and they are claimed in different places.
The sauna room: 1 year. From substantial project completion, covering defective workmanship and materials such as mis-cuts, rough lumber or knot loss.
The heater, control and power box: 5 years residential. One year in a commercial setting. Stones and heating elements carry one year either way.
Two conditions decide most claims. The room must be registered within 15 days of purchase, and installed by a certified electrician or qualified service representative.
Commercial use voids it. ThermaSol excludes residential units used in any non-residential setting, naming hotels, spas, gyms, health clubs and short-term rentals. Tell us before you order and we will quote a range that is warranted for it.
Who you call. Cabin claims go through ThermaSol and we start them for you. Harvia heaters are serviced by Harvia US directly, which is a separate route.
What if I need to return it?
What if I need to return it?
30 days from delivery. Cancelling before it ships costs nothing at all, and on a twelve week cabin there is usually room to change your mind.
Condition required. As new, unused, unassembled and in its original packaging with every component. Once a unit has been sited, connected or assembled it is no longer returnable.
Get an authorisation first. Contact us with your order number, we raise it with ThermaSol, and you ship within 14 days with the authorisation number written on the crate.
What a return costs. A restocking fee of up to 5% may apply and you pay the return freight, which is substantial on a crated sauna. We do not deduct the original outbound shipping. Ask us for an estimate before you commit.
Damaged on arrival is a freight claim, not a return. Note it on the paperwork while the driver is present, photograph it before anything moves, and tell us within 48 hours. Handled that way it costs you nothing.
Refunds. To the original payment method once the unit is received and inspected, normally within 5 to 10 business days.

The short answer
The ThermaSol Nordic Dawn is a Finnish cabin with a full-front glass wall
Argon-filled double glazing across the whole front, heat-treated pine outside, under a pre-installed metal roof. The Nordic Dawn is Kirami-built like the Nordic Misty, but where that cabin is a dark box with a window, this one is mostly glass.
The ground
86.8 × 85.4 in
Very nearly square, and 98.8 inches high. ThermaSol publishes no placement clearance, so allow working room on all sides for the delivery machine and later heater access.
The people
4 to 5
ThermaSol's figure. Heat-treated wood benches and a pine interior, with LED ambient lighting adjusted from the control panel.
The circuit
240V, 33.4 A
The 8 kW Harvia Spirit draws 33.4 amps on 240 volt single phase and wants a minimum 8 AWG 90 °C copper feed.
Inside the cabin
A full-front window, and what that costs you in heat

The Nordic Dawn's front is a full-width double-glazed window with an argon fill. Argon between the panes is what makes a glass wall viable in a sauna at all: it cuts the conduction loss that would otherwise make the front a cold surface and the heater work permanently.
Inside: heat-treated wood benches and a pine interior, with LED ambient lighting dimmed from the control panel rather than a separate remote. The door is an outward-opening glass panel with a safety latch and an exterior padlock.
The dimension ThermaSol does not publish
No interior area or linear dimension is published by ThermaSol for the Nordic Dawn. Kirami, which builds it, publishes a floorplan for the equivalent model, but the two companies do not agree on the cabin's weight across their own documents, so we are not going to present a Kirami interior as a ThermaSol specification here. Ask us and we will get it confirmed before you order.
Who makes it
Built by Kirami in Finland
The Nordic Dawn is a Kirami FinVision sauna M Dawn, built by Kirami Oy in Sastamala, Finland. ThermaSol's part number for it, 14-KIR-4555, is Kirami's own code with a vendor prefix.
Kirami was acquired by Harvia in 2021 and ThermaSol in July 2024, so the cabin, the heater and the control now come from one group.
Before you order
Five checks that are cheap now and expensive later
1. The base
2,646 pounds assembled, 2,866 in transit. Level, drained, and rated for the load.
2. The approach
Delivered fully assembled, so a machine has to reach the pad. Measure the gate, the side return and anything overhead.
3. The orientation
More consequential here than on any other cabin in the range. A full-front glass wall is a view or an exposure depending on which way it faces, and it cannot be turned afterwards.
4. The electrician
ThermaSol requires a licensed electrician for the heater installation.
5. The lead time
Twelve weeks, built to order in Finland.
How it is built
Three things about the Nordic Dawn you cannot change afterwards

The glazing
Full-front, double glazed, argon filled. It is the defining feature and it is structural: the cabin is designed around that opening.
The exterior
Heat-treated pine, which ThermaSol notes can be left natural or painted. That is unusual in this range, where most of the cabins arrive in a fixed factory finish.
The roof
Pre-installed metal, fitted before it leaves the factory.
Heater and circuit
An 8 kW Harvia Spirit, and why that differs from the dealer sheet
The Nordic Dawn ships with a Harvia Spirit on a Harvia CX45 control.
8 kW, not 9
ThermaSol's dealer file lists this cabin with a 9.0 kW Spirit. Kirami's own flyer for the same cabin states the heater as "Harvia Spirit 9 kW (EU), Harvia Spirit 8 kW (US)". The US unit is the Spirit SP80E at 8.0 kW, 240 volts single phase, and it is the one certified to UL 875 for this market. The 9 kW figure on the dealer sheet is the European specification carried onto a US SKU, so this page publishes 8 kW.
From Harvia's North American Spirit manual: 33.4 amps at 240 volts single phase on a minimum 8 AWG conductor rated to 90 °C. Note the Spirit has no 208 volt three-phase option in North America; it is 240 volt single phase only.
Why there is no breaker size here
Harvia does not publish one. None of the Harvia North American manuals gives a fuse or breaker rating. They publish current draw and a minimum conductor gauge and leave the overcurrent device to the installer under the NEC and local code. Harvia does say plainly that the heater feed must not run through an RCD or GFI.
Running cost
What an hour in the Nordic Dawn costs to heat
An 8 kW element runs flat out while the room comes up, then cycles. Across a typical hour, counting both phases, budget roughly 4.8 kilowatt hours.
At 17 cents a kilowatt hour that is about $0.82 an hour of use, or near $11 a month at three one hour sessions a week. Substitute your own utility rate.
What you get
What arrives, and what is separate
In the delivery
The assembled cabin with the Harvia Spirit and the CX45 control fitted, the LED ambient lighting installed, and the glass door with its safety latch and exterior padlock.
Not in the delivery
The base, the electrical supply and the electrician, the machine that lifts it into place, and site preparation. Freight is quoted rather than published, so talk to us before ordering and we will get a real number for your address.
Delivery and siting
It arrives built

The Nordic Dawn leaves Finland finished and arrives as one 2,866 pound unit. Machine access to the pad is a requirement rather than a convenience.
Place it facing the view you actually want, because the whole front is glass and the orientation is permanent. Once it is down and level the remaining work is the electrical connection and filling the stone basket. Leave service access to the heater: an installation that prevents it is excluded from the warranty.

Compare models
Where the Nordic Dawn sits in ThermaSol's outdoor range
| Model | Exterior | Interior | People | Heater |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Nordic Dawn | 86.8 × 85.4 in | not published | 4 to 5 | Spirit 8.0 kW |
| Nordic Misty Medium | 87 × 91 in | 44.1 sq ft | 4 to 5 | Virta 9.0 kW |
| Spectra | 82 × 90 in | 51 sq ft | 3 to 4 | Virta 9.0 kW |
| Fortis | 87 × 90 in | 54 sq ft | 3 to 4 | Virta 8.0 kW |
| Ombra | 130 × 91 in | 80 sq ft | 4 to 5 | Virta 10.5 kW |
The Nordic Dawn and the Nordic Misty are the two Finnish cabins and the two closest in size. The difference is the front: the Misty is dark cladding with a window, the Dawn is a glass wall. The Misty is also the one with published construction figures, so if insulation thickness and floor build-up matter to you, that is the better documented of the pair.
Buyer questions
ThermaSol Nordic Dawn questions buyers ask before ordering
Why do you say 8 kW when the dealer sheet says 9?
Because Kirami, which builds this cabin, publishes the heater as 9 kW for Europe and 8 kW for the US in its own flyer. The US unit is the Harvia Spirit SP80E at 8.0 kW on 240 volts single phase, and that is the version certified to UL 875 for this market. The 9 kW figure is the European specification carried onto a US SKU.
What size breaker does it need?
Harvia does not publish one and neither will we. The heater draws 33.4 amps at 240 volts single phase and wants a minimum 8 AWG conductor rated to 90 degrees C. Your licensed electrician sizes the overcurrent device to that load under the NEC and your local code.
What is the interior size?
ThermaSol does not publish one for the Nordic Dawn. Kirami publishes a floorplan for the equivalent cabin, but the two companies do not agree on this model's weight across their own documents, so we are not presenting a Kirami interior as a ThermaSol specification. Ask us and we will get it confirmed before you order.
Is a full glass front cold?
The glazing is double glazed with an argon fill, which is what makes a glass wall workable in a sauna rather than a permanent heat leak. It is still the coldest surface in the cabin, so site the benches with that in mind and expect the heater to work harder than it would in a clad cabin of the same size.
Can I paint the outside?
ThermaSol says the heat-treated pine exterior can be left natural or painted, which is unusual in this range. Most of the other cabins arrive in a fixed factory finish.
Which way should it face?
Towards the view you actually want, and away from a boundary you do not. The whole front is glass and the orientation is set when the cabin is placed, so it is worth standing on the pad before delivery day rather than after.
How does it get into my garden?
On a forklift or a crane. It arrives fully assembled at 2,866 pounds, so machine access to the pad is a requirement. Measure the gate, the side return and anything overhead before you order.
What is the warranty?
One year on the sauna room from substantial project completion, and five years on the Harvia heater, control and power box in a residential setting. Registration is required within fifteen days of purchase and the room must be installed by a certified electrician or qualified service representative.
Can I put it in a rental?
No. ThermaSol's warranty excludes residential units used in any non residential setting, naming hotels, spas, gyms, health clubs and short term rentals specifically.
Is the Nordic Dawn certified?
The Harvia Spirit heater fitted inside is ETL Listed to UL 875, the US standard for electric dry bath heaters. No certification is published for the structure itself, which is normal in this category. A listed heater does not make the structure listed, because UL 875 treats the two as separate things.
