How does delivery work?

Freight, not parcel. Shipping is quoted per model and charged at checkout, and you see the exact figure before you pay.

When it ships. Stock across a range this size moves week to week, so we confirm the position for your model when you order rather than publishing an average that would be wrong for half the catalog.

How you will know. You get a tracking notification by email once your order ships. On a freight shipment the updates come from the carrier's own portal rather than standard UPS or FedEx tracking, so we include the carrier name, the PRO tracking number and a link to their tracking tool.

How it arrives. Palletized on an LTL carrier, or on a flat bed for the largest cabins. The carrier calls to arrange a window, someone must be there to sign, and delivery is to the curb. Pallets run up to 81 inches wide, so check the route from where a truck can stop to where the sauna will sit before you order.

Where it ships. Rates cover the contiguous 48 states. Canada is higher and set by SaunaLife, and Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico are always quoted case by case, so contact us before ordering.

If it arrives damaged. Inspect every crate with the driver still there and write any damage on the delivery receipt before you sign. SaunaLife excludes damage that would have been visible on inspection, so a clean signature can cost you the claim. Call us from the driveway.

Read the full SaunaLife Shipping & Delivery Policy

What does the warranty cover?

Two years, residential. Defects in workmanship under normal use, from the date you take delivery, to the original retail purchaser. Keep your receipt.

Repair or replace. SaunaLife chooses which, and may substitute a component of equivalent value. A replaced part carries the remaining term rather than starting a new one.

Not covered. Installation and delivery, normal wear, user damage, and the way wood behaves: knots, grain and tone differences, shrinkage, moderate deformation and weathering. Accessories carry one year. Cleaners, wax, paint and oils carry 60 days.

Residential only. Commercial use voids it, so call before you order if the sauna goes into a gym, spa, clinic or any other business and we will confirm the terms in writing.

The heater is separate. A SaunaLife sauna does not include a heater, so the heater, its control unit and its stones fall under that manufacturer's warranty.

Transport damage must be caught on delivery. Damage that would have been detectable by visual inspection before installation is excluded. Inspect the crates with the driver, write any damage on the delivery receipt before you sign, and photograph everything before you move it. Once panels are assembled, a claim for damage that was visible beforehand is very hard to win.

Who handles it. We handle the claim with SaunaLife for you. Call (888) 500-5675 with your order number, photographs and a description of the fault.

Read the full SaunaLife Warranty Policy

What if I need to return it?

30 days from purchase. The unit must be new, uninstalled and in resalable condition with its original crating and all included parts. Once panels have been screwed together, a tub has been filled or a stove has been fired, it counts as installed and cannot be returned.

What a return costs. A 20 percent restocking fee may be deducted from your refund on a standard customer return.

Who pays the freight. You do on a change of mind, and on a crated sauna that is a real number rather than a formality, so ask us for a figure before you commit. The freight you paid at checkout is not refunded either.

When it is our fault. If the cause is shipping damage or an error on our side, we and the distributor cover the return and nothing is deducted.

Damaged on arrival. A different process, and it is time sensitive. Note the damage on the delivery receipt before you sign, photograph the crates before you move anything, and call us the same day. Transit damage is resolved by replacement parts rather than by return.

Cancelling before it ships. No fee at all before we submit your order to the manufacturer. After we submit it but before it ships, an administrative fee of up to 5 percent may apply, and we waive it whenever we are not charged.

To start a return. Call (888) 500-5675. A Return Authorization number is required before anything goes back.

SaunaLife CL12GCP Cube Series, 8-Person Outdoor Sauna with Changing Room

The CL12GCP is the top of the Cube Series and the only model that is two rooms: a sauna for eight behind a second door, a changing room with its own benches, and a covered terrace at the front. At 151.6 inches deep it is a building rather than a cabin, and it ships on a flat-bed truck.

  • Eight bathers in a 340 cu ft sauna room, plus a separate changing room
  • The only Cube with a rear picture window in the sauna room
  • Covered terrace and a second internal door
  • 9 kW electric recommended, or a wood stove. Sizing the sauna room only

Ships on a flat-bed truck, not LTL. Freight is quoted per model and shown separately at checkout. Monthly financing available, see financing.

Construction

What every SaunaLife CL12GCP buyer should know first

Despite the name, the Cube is a rounded square rather than a true cube. The staves wrap continuously from the floor, up the walls and over the top, so the shell, the corners and the roof are one piece. SaunaLife’s own manual calls them barrel staves.

The walls are solid thermally modified spruce, 42 mm thick, running the full 151.6-inch depth and drawn together by four external steel tension hoops. There is no frame and no panel construction. The roof is not a separate structure either: the staves arch over the top and are finished with underlay felt, asphalt shingles, a metal drip edge and ridge cap strips along the crown, so water sheds to both sides.

Thermal modification is heat, not chemistry. It drives moisture and resin out of the timber, which is what lets thermo spruce sit outdoors through freeze and thaw without the movement untreated softwood shows. Losing the resin matters for a second reason: untreated spruce and pine bleed sap when they get hot, and modified timber does not.

What is different here is that the shell encloses two rooms. A middle wall divides the sauna room from the changing room, with a second door between them, and the front of the structure carries a covered terrace with its own decking boards.

This is a traditional sauna heated by stones rather than infrared panels. If you are still deciding between the two, our infrared versus traditional sauna guide sets out the difference. The Cube Series sits in the full SaunaLife range and in our wider backyard and outdoor sauna range.

And one thing it does not have: insulation. Neither the specification nor SaunaLife’s installation manual mentions an insulation layer or an R-value. Some retailers describe the 1.7-inch walls as insulation. Solid timber is not insulation, and that single fact drives the heater decision further down this page.

Finish

Natural or black, and what the difference really is

SaunaLife builds the CL12GCP in two finishes. It is the same cabin either way: the same timber, the same benching, the same glass. What changes is how the outside is treated, and when.

SaunaLife CL12GCP Cube Series 8-Person Outdoor Sauna Kit, Changing Room, black finish, three quarter view
Finish What it includes
Natural Supplied uncoated, ready to oil, stain or paint.
Black Three 2.7 litre tins of PROSAUNAS SaunaShield black sauna paint, loose in the crate.
Applied by You or your installer, after the cabin is standing. The shell is not painted at the factory.
Coverage SaunaShield covers 8 to 10 square metres per litre on planed timber.

Why the paint travels in the crate instead of on the cabin

A finished cabin has to survive the same freight journey as a bare one. Strapping, forklift handling and the staves working against each other in transit all mark a painted surface, and a scuff shows far more on a black wall than on raw timber. Painting once the shell is standing gives an even coat with nothing to touch up, and it lets you reach the joints and end grain that are hidden once the panels are apart.

What applying it involves

SaunaShield is a water-based acrylate made for the outside of a sauna. PROSAUNAS give coverage as 8 to 10 square metres per litre on planed timber, and describe the coating as quick drying with a 12 year durability under proper maintenance. Work to the instructions on the tin for preparation, number of coats and drying time, and keep what is left for touching up later.

The black finish is a choice about appearance and upkeep, not about how the sauna is built or how it performs. Heater sizing, the electrical supply and the warranty are identical on both.

What you are buying

Three things on the CL12GCP you cannot retrofit later

Interior of the SaunaLife CL12GCP sauna room showing two facing benches, the heater and the rear picture window

A rear picture window

The only Cube with a window in the sauna room: a fixed bronze pane roughly 28.7 by 36.9 inches in the rear wall, so what you look at from the bench is the garden, not timber. Site it accordingly.

Cutaway of the SaunaLife CL12GCP showing the sauna room, the changing room and the dividing wall

Two rooms and a second door

A changing room 87.5 by 43.9 inches with its own benches, then a middle door into the sauna room. Somewhere to leave clothes and cool down without stepping outside.

SaunaLife CL12GCP outdoor sauna with its covered terrace in a garden setting

A covered terrace

Decking boards at the front under the arched crown, laid level with the terrace. It is where you sit between rounds, and no other Cube has one.

The layout

How the CL12GCP’s two rooms work

Through the front door into the changing room, then through a second door into the sauna. It is the arrangement every public sauna uses, and the reason is practical: you are not carrying clothes into a room at 190°F, and you have somewhere to sit that is not the weather.

The sauna room is 87.5 inches wide by 78.6 deep with 85.5 inches of headroom, at 340 cubic feet. Two facing benches with contoured backrests and footrest steps below, the heater between them, and the picture window in the rear wall.

The changing room is 87.5 by 43.9 inches with the same 85.5-inch ceiling, and it has its own benches. It is a genuine room, not a vestibule.

At 85.5 inches of interior height both rooms are tall enough for the traditional bench geometry, with your feet near the level of the stones. That is nearly a foot more headroom than the CL4G and CL5G have.

Heater sizing

Which heater the SaunaLife CL12GCP needs

9 kW, and two things about this model are different from the rest of the range: the heater sizes the sauna room only, and it is the only Cube for which SaunaLife also recommends wood-burning stoves.

What the manufacturer channel recommends

SaunaLife publishes no kilowatt figure, but its distributor product data carries a recommended-model list. For the CL12GCP that list is fourteen models, and it splits two ways:

  • Electric, 8 to 9 kW. Harvia Cilindro PC90 and PC90E, KIP80B and KIP80W, The Wall SW80, the Virta HL90E, HUUM DROP 9 and HIVE Mini 11.
  • Wood-burning. Harvia Legend 150 and Linear 16, HUUM HIVE Wood 13, Cozy Heat and Cozy Heat Quattro, and the Narvi Kuru. No other Cube carries a wood-fired option on its list, and the CL12GCP manual’s own care section covers it, down to using dry firewood up to 12 inches long.

A wood stove is a different project. It removes the 240-volt circuit but adds a flue, clearances to combustibles, and in many cases a conversation with your insurer, because several carriers treat a solid-fuel appliance in a detached structure differently from an electric one. It is a real option on this model and we would rather you heard about it here than found it later. Call us before you choose either way.

The arithmetic, if you go electric

Harvia publishes the correction for uninsulated surfaces plainly: one square meter of stone, glass or similar non-insulated surface raises the power requirement as much as adding 1.2 cubic meters to the room volume. Harvia publishes a second factor for non-insulated log walls (multiply the volume by 1.5). Thermally modified staves are not a green log wall, so we do not apply it, and where the two answers differ we defer to SaunaLife’s own recommended-heater list rather than to our arithmetic. Only the sauna room counts, and only its glazing: the glazed middle door and the rear window. The front door is in the unheated changing room.

Input Value
Sauna room volume 9.63 m³ (340 cu ft)
Glazed area inside the sauna room, estimated: middle door plus rear window approx. 1.7 m²
Penalty applied +2.04 m³
Equivalent volume for sizing 11.7 m³

That lands near the top of Harvia’s 8 kW band, which runs to 12 cubic meters on the KIP80. So an 8 kW unit is arithmetically defensible and 9 kW gives you headroom, which is where SaunaLife’s own list sits. We recommend 9 kW. Note this cabin has proportionally less glass than the single-room Cubes, because its front wall is largely timber, so the penalty is smaller than you might expect from the volume. The glazed figure is our estimate from the elevations, not a published number.

The heater guard does not fit every heater, and SaunaLife says so. The installation manual carries the warning in capitals: the guard may not meet the safety distances of all heaters and should not be used if the heater does not fit. The manual fits the benches first (CL7G steps 12 to 14; CL12GCP 4.16 to 4.18) and the heater and guard afterwards, so a guard that will not fit your heater is discovered with the benching already installed. Confirm the guard clearance for your exact heater model before you order it, and we will check it with you.

Ask your electrician about GFCI before they quote

Recent editions of the National Electrical Code have broadened ground-fault protection for outdoor equipment, while several heater manufacturers warn their heaters can nuisance-trip a GFCI device. Both positions are genuine, and which governs is decided by your jurisdiction’s code edition and your inspector. Settle it before the circuit is designed, not at inspection.

Browse Harvia sauna heaters or every electric sauna heater we carry, then call (888) 500-5675 so the kilowatts, the controls and the guard clearance all match the cabin.

Living with it

Heat-up times and what the CL12GCP costs to run

Only the sauna room is heated, so the running cost is close to the CL7G’s despite the much larger footprint.

Conditions Planning estimate, not a measured figure
Mild weather, above 60°F 65 to 80 minutes to roughly 180°F
Cool autumn, 40 to 50°F About 80 to 95 minutes
Hard winter, well below freezing Ninety minutes or more

We have no measured heat-up data for this cabin. These are planning ranges for a 9 kW heater scaled from published CL-series reports. Use the heater’s timer rather than heating on standby. The changing room takes no power beyond the lighting, which is one of the quiet advantages of the layout: you get somewhere to sit and cool down that costs nothing to run.

A session of roughly seventy-five minutes of heating plus forty-five minutes of bathing time (usually two or three rounds with a cool-down between) lands around 15 to 25 kilowatt-hours. At 18.34 cents per kilowatt-hour, the US residential average in the EIA’s Electric Power Monthly (June 2026 data, its latest published), that is $2.75 to $4.59 per session, or about $36 to $60 a month at three sessions a week.

Assembly

Building the SaunaLife CL12GCP

Three to four days with two or three people, and the only Cube we would genuinely suggest most buyers pay someone to build.

Side elevation of the SaunaLife CL12GCP showing the shingled arched crown running the full 151.6-inch depth and the four external steel tension hoops

The manual runs to 46 pages against 27 to 29 for the single-room cabins, and it covers a base frame, floor staves, a back wall, a middle wall, a front wall, lower and upper wall staves, top staves, four tension hoops, a terrace, two sets of benches, a heater guard and 122 roof shingles.

The four hoops in this photograph are spread over 151.6 inches of depth, which is why this build is a sequence rather than a set of steps: an early stave out of position shows up three hoops later. Read the whole manual before you start.

This is the model to price professional assembly on. Local handyman or contractor assembly for a flat-pack sauna this size is a multi-day job for a crew, and quotes come in well above what a single-room Cube attracts. Professional setup and assembly can be added, and on this model it is worth the comparison.

Check the tool list before the pallet arrives

The CL12GCP tool list is different from the rest of the range and worth reading. There is no ratchet strap on it, because the four tension hoops are drawn closed with their threaded tensioners rather than strapped. What it does call for that you may not own: a circular saw, because some trim is cut to fit on site, a HEX4 screwdriver, and a stapler and staples for the roof underlay. The rest is a drill, a rubber mallet, a level, a hammer, a utility knife and, in the manual’s own words, extra hands.

Before the pallet arrives, settle the base. It has to be flat, level and load-bearing, and level matters most: the walls are stacked staves under hoop tension, so an out-of-level base puts the stack out of plumb and the glass door stops closing squarely. A concrete pad, pavers on compacted gravel or an engineered deck all work. Two traps worth knowing: do not sit the foundation beams flat on pavers with no gap, because timber in permanent contact with a wet surface rots from underneath where you cannot inspect it; and in a freezing climate ask your pad builder about frost, because a slab that is not below the frost line heaves and drops the cabin out of level over a couple of winters. Allow about twelve inches clear at the sides and back too, since you build it in place.

Ownership

Living with the CL12GCP outdoors

Two rooms, a terrace and a rear window, all standing outdoors all year. The habits are the smaller Cubes’ habits, with more surface to watch.

The glass will run with condensation, and in a hard freeze it can stick the door shut

Physics, not a defect. Warm wet air meets cold glass and gives up its moisture there, so on a winter session you get a band of condensation on the inside of the lower glass. Water runs down and collects at the bottom of the door, and if it is properly cold it can freeze overnight.

The routine that prevents it takes a minute: squeegee or towel the inside of the glass at the end of the session, bottom edge included, then leave the door ajar for twenty minutes while the cabin dries. That second step also does more for mold prevention than anything else. Fogging during a session is not a problem; throw water on the stones and the glass clears in seconds.

The rest of it is 5 habits

  • Do the break-in firing before you use it. SaunaLife asks for a supervised two-hour first heating to about 210°F with the sauna well ventilated during and after. Do not skip it. Check inside the heater for shipping plastic or cardboard first, which is a well-known way to ruin a new element on day one.
  • Wipe down and leave the door ajar after a session. The single biggest lever on how long the cabin lasts.
  • Oil it once a year. SaunaLife’s manual asks for the wooden parts to be treated after assembly and a preservative reapplied annually. Thermal modification substantially improves decay resistance; the oil adds moisture resistance and holds the color. Never use exterior oil, varnish or paint inside; SaunaLife asks for interior surfaces to be cleaned with a sauna cleaner and re-treated with a sauna protectant.
  • Sit on a towel. The Thermo-Aspen benches mark with sweat, not heat. Warm water and a soft brush along the grain lifts it. No wire brush, no bleach.
  • Keep the shingles intact. Replace any that lift. The roof decides how long everything under it lasts.

Do not tarp it over winter. A cover with no air gap traps damp against the timber and rots it faster than the weather would. The shingled crown and the modified spruce exist precisely so the cabin can stand outside uncovered.

Fit

Who the SaunaLife CL12GCP is for

The proper sauna house

Eight bathers, somewhere to change, somewhere covered to sit between rounds. If you have used a Finnish sauna house and want that at home, this is the model in the range that does it.

The host

The changing room is what makes a sauna sociable rather than a queue. Clothes stay dry, people cool down without standing in the garden, and the terrace gives the whole thing somewhere to happen.

The large household, and a note on commercial use

Eight places and two rooms suit a large family or a house that entertains. If you are thinking of a lodge, a retreat or a shared facility, read the warranty first: it is written for residential use and is void in a commercial setting. Talk to us before you order if that is the plan.

Choosing within the range

SaunaLife CL12GCP against the rest of the Cube Series

Everything below the CL12GCP is one room. This is the only model that is a building with two.

The delivery row is the one to read twice. Every other Cube arrives on an LTL pallet. This one comes on a flat-bed, and that changes access, unloading and freight cost before it changes anything else.

Against a barrel, and against a cheaper kit

Barrel saunas are built the same way: same staves, same tension hoops. A barrel is a full circle, so it takes the interior away exactly where your shoulders are, and no barrel gives you a second room. What the cabin gives you is structural and cannot be added later: 42 mm solid staves, thermally modified timber and a full asphalt-shingle roof kit. At this size that matters more, not less, because there is far more roof to fail.

Compare the CL7G 6-person Cube, the CL5G, the CL4G or the smallest CL3G 2-person Cube, or take the two-minute sauna finder.

Budget

What the CL12GCP project costs beyond the cabin

$4.59Most a session costs to run
156Sessions a year at three a week
$715Most a year of electricity

Only the sauna room is heated, so running cost barely moves from the CL7G despite nearly twice the footprint. The lines below are where this model differs.

  • Heater and stones, 9 kW electricSeparate purchase
  • Licensed electrician, dedicated 240 V circuit, permit and trench or conduitLocal quote
  • Foundation: an engineered pad specified for the 3,100 lb structureLocal quote
  • Freight on a flat-bed truck, set by SaunaLifeShown at checkout
  • Unloading: no tail lift on a flat-bed, so machinery or a crewPlan for it
  • Assembly, a multi-day job for a crew, or professional setup and assemblyLocal quote
  • Electricity, three sessions a week for a year$430 to $715
Our honest take: two lines on this model differ from the rest of the range, and neither is the sauna. Freight is higher because it moves on a flat-bed, and unloading is yours because a flat-bed has no tail lift. Settle both before you order. Call us with your access measurements and we will tell you on the phone whether this cabin can reach your pad.
Scope

What comes in the crate with the SaunaLife CL12GCP

Getting it to you

Delivering the CL12GCP on a flat-bed truck

Flat-bed, not LTL

The shipment is 155 inches long and 3,450 pounds, so it moves on a flat-bed rather than a standard LTL truck. That is a different vehicle with different access needs.

No tail lift

A flat-bed cannot lower the load for you. Unloading is the customer’s responsibility and usually wants machinery or several people ready on the day.

Talk to us first

Site access is the single thing that catches people out on this model. Call before you order and we will work through the route with you.

Inspect before you sign. Walk the load with the driver, photograph anything wrong, and write it on the delivery receipt before signing. SaunaLife’s warranty excludes damage that visual inspection would have caught before installation, so a clean signature on a damaged shipment can cost you the claim. Call us from the driveway instead.

Freight is a separate charge set by SaunaLife and is materially higher on this model than the LTL cabins; the exact figure appears at checkout. Stock ships from Wheeling, Illinois. Full terms are in our shipping policy and refund policy, with the SaunaLife-specific terms in the policy panels on this page.

What reviewers and owners report about the Cube Series

We have not sold enough of these to have reviews of our own, so we have not invented any. Here is what has been published about the Cube Series.

“In real-world use, one verified owner reports that with the Harvia 80B (8kW) heater, the CL5G heats from 65°F to 160°F in approximately one hour.”

That figure is for the 4-person CL5G on an 8 kW heater. The CL12GCP heats a sauna room nearly twice that volume on 9 kW, so expect longer. Published coverage of the Cube Series is thin and there is very little of it on this model specifically, which is worth knowing: most of what is written about the range describes the single-room cabins.

Where we would push back on the internet. Several retailer pages claim these cabins ship with front and back floor drains. They do not have plumbed floor drains; that description matches SaunaLife’s Ergo barrel series. (The CL12GCP does include a water diverter, which is not the same thing.) Others describe the 42 mm walls as insulation. They are not.

Buyer questions

SaunaLife CL12GCP questions buyers ask before ordering

What size heater does the SaunaLife CL12GCP need, and is one included?

We recommend 9 kW electric, and no, the heater and stones are bought separately. The sauna room is 9.63 cubic meters, and adding Harvia’s 1.2 cubic meters per square meter of glass or similar non-insulated surface for the middle door and rear window takes the sizing figure to about 11.7, near the top of the 8 kW band. SaunaLife’s own list runs to 9 kW: Cilindro PC90 and PC90E, the Virta HL90E, HUUM DROP 9 and HIVE Mini 11. It is also the only Cube for which SaunaLife recommends wood-burning stoves, six of them, which is a genuinely different project. The heater sizes the sauna room only; the changing room is unheated.

How is the CL12GCP different from the other Cubes?

Two rooms, not one. Behind the front door there is a changing room 87.5 inches wide by 43.9 deep, with its own benches, and a second door through to the sauna room at 87.5 by 78.6. There is also a covered terrace at the front. At 151.6 inches deep overall it is a building rather than a cabin, and it is delivered and installed accordingly.

Does the CL12GCP sauna room have a window?

Yes, and it is the only Cube that does. The sauna room carries a fixed bronze pane roughly 28.7 by 36.9 inches in the rear wall, in addition to the glazed middle door. The smaller Cubes put all their glass in the front wall and have solid timber everywhere else. Site the cabin with that rear view in mind, because it is the main thing you look at from the bench.

How is the SaunaLife CL12GCP delivered, and what does freight cost?

Not on an LTL pallet like the rest of the range. The CL12GCP ships on a flat-bed truck, because the shipment is 155 inches long and 3,450 pounds. A flat-bed cannot always reach where a standard LTL truck can, and there is no tail lift, so unloading is on you and usually wants machinery or several people ready on the day. Freight is a separate charge set by SaunaLife, shown at checkout before you pay, and materially higher than the single-room Cubes; Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico are quoted case by case. On timing, the date range in the buy box is a planning estimate and we confirm the actual position for your model when you order, because availability changes week to week. Talk to us about access before you order.

Do I need a building permit for the CL12GCP?

Check before you order, because this is the model where the answer changes. At 95.8 square feet it is close to the exemption thresholds that some jurisdictions set at 100 square feet, and it is a two-room structure with a terrace, which some inspectors treat differently from a simple accessory building. Elsewhere the IRC exemption applies, which covers detached one-story accessory structures used as sheds, playhouses and similar uses up to 200 square feet; many departments do not read a hard-wired sauna as a similar use at all. Property-line setbacks apply either way, and the hard-wired 240-volt circuit needs its own permit in most places.

Can I put the SaunaLife CL12GCP on a deck?

Almost certainly not without engineering. The structure alone is 3,100 pounds, a ton and a half in one place. Spread across 95.8 square feet that is about 32 pounds per square foot, but pounds per square foot is not how a deck is assessed: this is permanent dead load against a 10 pound dead-load allowance, before eight bathers, the heater, the stones and the water. This model wants a properly specified concrete pad or a foundation engineered for it.

Is the SaunaLife CL12GCP insulated?

No. Neither the product specification nor SaunaLife’s installation manual mentions insulation, an R-value or an insulation layer. The walls are 42 mm of solid thermally modified spruce. Some retailers describe that thickness as insulation; solid timber is not, which is exactly why the heater sizing adds a penalty.

How long does the SaunaLife CL12GCP take to build?

Longer than any other Cube. The manual runs to 46 pages against 27 to 29 for the single-room cabins, and it covers a base frame, floor staves, a back wall, a middle wall, a front wall, four tension hoops, a terrace, two sets of benches and 122 roof shingles. Plan on three to four days with two or three people, and Read the whole manual before you start.

Can I return it, and what happens if it arrives damaged?

Thirty days from purchase, and the condition bar matters: it has to go back new, uninstalled and resalable in its original crating. Once the panels are screwed together it counts as installed and cannot be returned. A change-of-mind return may carry a 20 percent restocking fee and you pay the return freight, which on a flat-bed shipment this size is a very real number. Damage in transit is a different process and time sensitive: note it on the delivery receipt before you sign, photograph the crates before you move anything, and call us the same day.

What is the warranty on the SaunaLife CL12GCP?

SaunaLife's warranty document (Rev 260220) warrants its saunas against defects in workmanship for two years in residential use. We quote the two years and we will send you the manufacturer’s written warranty before you order, because that document governs any claim. Read three exclusions before you buy: the heater, its control unit and its stones are covered by their own manufacturer and not by SaunaLife; installation, delivery and the labor of removing or refitting a part are excluded; and a component returned for repair goes back at your freight cost. One more that is specific to this model: the warranty is written for residential use and is void in a commercial setting.

This one ships on a flat-bed rather than a standard LTL truck, and at 3,450 pounds over 155 inches the site access question is the one that catches people out. Ten minutes on the phone settles it.
