Your LeisureCraft sauna, plunge tub, hot tub or outdoor shower is handcrafted to order in Melancthon, Ontario and ships by insured LTL freight. Freight and all cross-border charges are included in the price — no separate shipping cost, no customs bill at the door.
Build time, not ship time. Every unit is made to order, so each product page shows an estimated build date rather than a delivery date. Transit is additional, and build dates move with production volume — peak season runs February through May. We confirm your date in writing once your order is placed.
What the carrier does. The freight company calls to schedule an appointment and delivers to the end of your driveway or the curb, usually on an 18-wheel truck. The driver will not unload your crate and will not back into your driveway. Check that a truck that size can reach your property before you order.
CRITICAL — you are responsible for unloading. Crates run 6 to 14 feet long and 800 to 1,600 pounds depending on the model, with the largest builds heavier still. If your crate is 84 inches or shorter, the carrier may have a liftgate to help lower it. Longer than that there is no liftgate, which covers most of the barrel and cabin range. You will need a forklift with extensions (crates lift from the end), a trailer to collect from the terminal, or a crew on hand. We can arrange a tilt-tow truck for $1,250 if you would rather not. Plan this before you order and we will work it out with you.
Inspect before you sign. If the crate arrives damaged, accept it, photograph everything before moving it, and write "Crate arrived open/damaged — Possible Hidden Damage" on the Bill of Lading. Then call us within 72 hours. A clean signature releases the carrier and makes a claim nearly impossible to win.
Good to know. Changing your shipping address after the unit leaves the factory costs $350 — free before it ships, so tell us early. If a delivery appointment stalls because calls go unreturned, the terminal charges $35 per day in storage. Both are manufacturer charges passed through at cost. Heaters and accessories ship separately and usually arrive sooner.

Warranty
All products designed and manufactured by Dundalk LeisureCraft — including the Canadian Timber Collection — are covered against defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use for 5 years from the day you receive the product.
What's covered. Replacement of defective parts. Service, labor and installation costs are expressly excluded by the manufacturer, and a replacement part does not extend the original 5-year period.
What's not. Normal wear and tear, improper installation, insufficient maintenance, natural weather conditions, and failure to follow the installation and care instructions.
Heaters, stoves and chillers. These sit on LeisureCraft's separate component schedule, and LeisureCraft honors the component manufacturer's terms directly — same coverage, same duration. Electric heaters carry 3 years (elements and rocks excluded; HUUM also excludes sensors). Wood-burning stoves run 2 years to 5 years, with LeisureCraft's own Timberglow at 5, excluding the glass door, ash grate and rocks; LeisureCraft chimney kits carry 5 years with no exclusions. Chillers carry 1 to 2 years. Component coverage is parts only. We confirm the exact term for your configuration in writing before you order.
Use a licensed electrician. All electrical connections on heaters and chillers must be made by a licensed electrician, or LeisureCraft voids the component warranty. Improper installation is excluded from the 5-year sauna warranty as well.
If you've seen a 3-year figure. Some older listings and in-box manuals still show 3 years for the Canadian Timber Collection. LeisureCraft's current published policy is 5 years, and that's the coverage we confirm in writing with every order.
Residential use, and registration. The 5-year term is written for normal residential use; LeisureCraft publishes no commercial warranty. Buying for a gym, clinic, spa, hotel or rental? Call us first and we'll get the factory's position in writing. We send the manufacturer's registration link with your order confirmation — registering keeps future claims straightforward.
How to make a claim. Contact us — as your authorized dealer we handle the claim with the manufacturer for you. Email sales@recoveryroomdirect.com or call (888) 500-5675 with your order number and photos of the issue.

LeisureCraft Canadian Timber products are handcrafted for your specific order in Melancthon, Ontario. Because each unit is built to order, the manufacturer does not accept returns or exchanges — so please call us before you buy if anything is unclear. We would far rather answer questions first than have you end up with the wrong sauna.
Cancellations. Production is scheduled as soon as your order is placed. Contact us as early as you can at (888) 500-5675 — if your build hasn't started we'll do everything we can to cancel at no cost. If it has, we'll tell you plainly where you stand.
Damaged on arrival? You're covered. Transit damage is handled by replacement, not return. Accept the shipment, photograph the damage before moving anything, and write "Crate arrived open/damaged — Possible Hidden Damage" on the Bill of Lading before signing. Call us within 72 hours and the manufacturer ships replacement wood or components at no charge. Damage reported after a clean signature is very difficult to claim — this step is what protects you.
Five-year residential warranty. Products manufactured by LeisureCraft carry a limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use for five years from the day you receive them. Valid claims are resolved with replacement parts at no charge.
What it doesn't cover. The warranty is parts only — service, labour and installation are expressly excluded, and a replaced part doesn't restart the five years. It excludes normal wear and tear, improper installation, insufficient maintenance, weather damage, and failure to follow the care instructions. Cedar is a natural material: seasonal movement and colour change to silver-grey are normal and are not defects.
Two exceptions worth knowing. The warranty is written for residential use — if you're buying for a gym, clinic, spa or rental property, call us first so we can confirm your coverage in writing. And sauna heaters are not LeisureCraft-made: Harvia, HUUM and Narvi units carry their own manufacturer warranties, and we'll point you to the right terms.

The CT Sierra outdoor shower is a cedar post on a pad: 13 inches wide, a garden hose behind it, a cold rinse beside the sauna or the plunge
In LeisureCraft's numbers, the outdoor shower is an Eastern White Cedar pillar 13 inches wide, 5 1/2 deep and 78 1/4 tall under a 15 inch top plate, on a 31 by 31 inch cedar pad, 81 1/2 inches overall. The pillar arrives assembled; you build the pad.
What it is not: a plumbed shower out of the box. No head, valve or hose fitting ships with it. LeisureCraft's Premium Shower Hardware, hot and cold with a hand shower, and its Garden Hose Connect Kit are the two ways to put water through it, both chosen at the top of this page. For a wall behind you, the CT Savannah is this shower at 42 inches.

Where the Sierra earns its place as a garden hose outdoor shower, and what it is not
An outdoor shower beside a sauna or a cold plunge does one job: it is where you rinse, after the sauna and before the plunge, without walking through the house wet. LeisureCraft's line is keep the mess outside, and the Dundalk LeisureCraft saunas and plunges we carry are what it stands beside.
The basic setup is cold water from a garden hose; LeisureCraft's words are that the pillar showers connect directly to a standard garden hose, no plumbing needed, and can be moved if needed. The hose runs to the back of the pillar and through the board to the fixture on the front.
The clearest way to read the Sierra is as the smallest object that will hold a shower head where you want one. That is the whole of the design: 13 inches of cedar face to carry a valve and a riser, 5 1/2 inches of depth for a supply line to pass through, and a floor to stand on so you are not rinsing into mud. Put it where a fence, a hedge, a garage wall or the sauna itself is already doing that job, and a post is all the structure the rinse needs.
What it is not: an enclosure. A 13 inch post is something to mount the head on, not something to stand behind; for a 42 inch panel on a 40 by 40 pad, the CT Savannah is the other Canadian Timber shower. Nor is it a hot shower without the Premium kit, which beside a sauna and a plunge is no limitation: our contrast therapy protocol runs on cold water, and our cold plunges are the step after the rinse.

LeisureCraft's drawing shows the whole Sierra. Front: a pillar 13 inches wide and 78 1/4 tall, horizontal cedar slats with gaps between them, a 15 inch top plate over it. Side: 5 1/2 inches deep. Under it a square pad, 31 inches each way and 3 1/4 thick; the pillar stands centered at its back edge on two small stainless brackets. No hardware is drawn.
The pillar arrives in one piece; the parts list calls it the Assembled Sierra Shower Pillar. You build the pad, two supports, four joists, six floor boards laid with space between them, and lag screw the pillar through its brackets into the two inner joists, which the manual sets 7 1/2 inches in from each end for that reason.
With the pillar at the back, the pad in front of it is about 25 1/2 inches deep by 31 wide: room to stand under a head, not to turn around in. Rinse water goes through the gaps in the floor, so put it where that water can go.
That is a standing footprint and nothing beyond it. You face the pillar, rinse, and step off; there is no room to dress on the pad. Read that as a limit if you pictured somewhere to towel down, and as the point if what you wanted was a rinse that takes up no more yard than the pad it stands on.
Nothing here is fixed to the ground either, and the whole shower travels as one 49 lb box on a skid against 107 lb for the panel version. The pad is six floor boards over four joists and the pillar sits on two brackets, so the drill that built it takes it apart again.
Eastern White Cedar, and what you are paying for in a Canadian Timber shower
The Sierra is Eastern White Cedar, the wood of the Canadian Timber collection; LeisureCraft's showers page says so. Its case for cedar outdoors: natural resistance to rot, decay and insects.
How much the graying matters depends on how much wood there is to look at, and on this shower there is not much: a 13 inch face, a 15 inch top plate and six 31 inch floor boards, where the panel version carries a 42 inch face and seven 40 inch boards. If you want the Sierra to hold its color, that is a small surface to keep after, and it stays small every time you come back to it. If you would rather let it go, nothing is lost but the color, and LeisureCraft treats staining as maintenance you do rather than a defect it covers.
Slats with gaps, a pad with gaps
The face is slats with space between them; the floor boards are laid with space between them. Nothing holds water. No drain to fit, no basin to clean.
Cut, drilled and assembled in Ontario
LeisureCraft builds its showers in Canada from cedar out of certified sustainable mills in British Columbia and Ontario. Pillar assembled, pad as cut pieces, fasteners in the box.
Left bare, or stained
Cedar left outside grays over a season or two and is none the worse for it. LeisureCraft says the shower may be stained to keep the color; its warranty names staining as maintenance you do.

Plumbing the Sierra: a garden hose, or the Premium hot and cold kit
Nothing that carries water ships with the Sierra. LeisureCraft prints it in bold: shower hardware not included with shower, hardware must be purchased separately. Two ways to get water to it, both chosen at the top of this page.
A garden hose. The Garden Hose Connect Kit is how the pillar showers take a standard hose for cold water. LeisureCraft's photograph of it is a brass hose thread fitting through the board, hose on the back; it publishes nothing more, so ask us. No plumber, cold water only. Two small cedar pieces are offered in the same options box at the top of the page: a bottle shelf, 8 by 13.5 by 5 inches, and a three peg towel hook, 14 inches wide, both LeisureCraft's own.
The Premium Shower Hardware. LeisureCraft's description in full: hot and cold, full stainless steel, with hand held shower. Two supply holes go through the pillar board 6 inches on center, and in LeisureCraft's words you hook up your water lines to the adapters in the back. That is plumbing, so LeisureCraft says a plumber may be required.
The choice between the two is less about hot water than about whether the shower stays movable. On a hose the Sierra is still a loose object: one fitting through the board, a hose you uncouple, a pad that goes back to being a pad. With the Premium kit there are two supply lines running to the back of the pillar, 6 inches apart on center, and wherever those lines come up is where the shower now lives. If the yard is settled and you want a warm rinse in April, that is worth the plumber. If the sauna landed last spring and the deck may still be rebuilt, take the hose; the Premium kit is the same part on both Canadian Timber showers if you change your mind about it later.
Why we still ask you to call
Both kits are chosen above, so nothing waits on a quote. The call checks the choice against your site: the hose bib, the hot water run, your winters. LeisureCraft accepts no returns, so five minutes on (888) 500-5675 first is the cheapest insurance on the page.
LeisureCraft's warning, printed with the Premium kit: ensure to drain the shower completely in cold temperatures to prevent water from freezing inside the hardware and causing irreparable damage. That goes for any fixture you mount: disconnect the hose and drain the lines before the first frost. LeisureCraft says the Premium kit may require a plumber; your local code decides whether it must.
What a week with the Sierra actually looks like
After the sauna, before the plunge
Beside a sauna it is the cold rinse between rounds. Beside a plunge, the Baltic barrel or the Flow, it is the rinse before and after, so the water stays clean longer. Our contrast therapy guide sets out the timings.
The rinse is short and it repeats. In and out between rounds, more than once in an evening, which is why the walk to it decides whether it gets used at all. A shower a few steps from the sauna door is part of the round. The one upstairs is where the evening ends.
By the pool and the hot tub
LeisureCraft's own use case: rinse off before you get in, cool down after. On a hose the water is hose temperature, which in July is the point.
Winter
The cedar does not mind winter; the water in the fixture does. Before the first freeze, disconnect the hose, drain the hardware completely per LeisureCraft's warning above, and leave the pillar where it is.
Nothing comes indoors for the season. The pillar stands through it, the floor boards clear themselves through their own gaps, and the only thing asking for attention is a fixture with water sitting in it.
Three people who choose the Sierra over the Savannah
The one with a sauna or a plunge and nowhere to rinse
The sauna is in the yard, the plunge beside it, the only shower upstairs. The Sierra is a post on a pad that takes a garden hose and stands where they are.
The one with 31 inches to give it, not 40
The Savannah's pad is 40 by 40 and its panel 42 wide; the Sierra's is 31 by 31 with a 13 inch pillar. On a deck corner or beside a barrel sauna door, those 9 inches each way are often the whole decision.
The one who is not calling a plumber
A garden hose, LeisureCraft's hose connector, and a cold water fixture of your own on the face: that is the installation the pillar showers were designed around. Hot water is still there with the Premium kit, the same kit on both showers.
And the buyer who should not: if the spot is open to a neighbor's window, a lane or the road, a 13 inch post will not help, because covering you was never its job. The Sierra assumes the privacy is already there in a fence, a hedge, a garage wall or the sauna it stands beside. Where it is not, buy the panel or the enclosed room instead of buying the post and then building something behind it.

The two share everything but width. The Savannah adds 29 inches of panel and 9 inches of pad each way, at twice the boxed weight. Wider, not taller: LeisureCraft's table gives both 81 1/2 inches. What the Sierra costs to use, once it is on the deck
A garden hose shower has no meter of its own: no element, no pump, no chemicals, no filter. We will not invent a cost per rinse; here is the denominator.
Divide your delivered price by 780 for the cost of each rinse before water.
What that leaves out is upkeep, so here is the whole of it: sweep the leaves off the pad, uncouple the hose and drain the fixture before the first frost, and stain the cedar if you want to keep the color. There is no filter to change, no water to treat, nothing to plug in, and nothing running while you are not using it. A shower that holds no water cannot go stale between uses, which matters if the yard sits quiet for a month.

Building the Sierra
LeisureCraft's instructions run five pages, most of it the pad. Requirements, as printed: 2 People (recommended), Tape Measure, Cordless Drill, Robertson Drill Bit, 3/4 inch (19 mm) Nut Driver Bit. The order: top plate onto the pre-assembled pillar; inner floor supports 7 1/2 inches from each end; front and back supports to the outer joists; floor boards spaced evenly; pillar flush to the back, pre-drilled, lag screwed through the brackets. LeisureCraft gives no assembly time, and neither will we.
The instructions ship in the box; LeisureCraft lists the owners manual as a part of the kit. Ask us for a copy before you order and we will send it.
CT Sierra delivery, and what to have ready
Freight included
Freight and all cross-border charges are in the price, curbside to the contiguous 48 states. One box on a skid at about 49 lb, its longest part the 78 1/4 inch pillar, inside the 84 inch liftgate threshold in our LeisureCraft shipping policy: a liftgate delivery, no equipment, as in LeisureCraft's tailgate delivery video. Photograph any damage, write it on the Bill of Lading before you sign, and call us within 72 hours.
Built to order
Nothing is stocked. Your Sierra joins the production queue in Melancthon once ordered; we confirm the build and ship window in writing once the factory schedules it.
What it sits on
The pad is the foundation: 31 by 31 inches on a flat surface that drains. Nothing is bolted to the ground; if the spot is windy or the ground soft, tell us.
Flat matters more than hard. The pad carries its own load across 31 inches each way and lets the water go through the gaps between the boards, so a deck, a patio, pavers or firm level ground all work, provided what is underneath takes the water away instead of holding it. A low corner that puddles keeps the underside of the floor boards wet, and that is the condition worth designing out. Set the pillar so you rinse facing away from the door you came out of.
Before the truck comes
- A flat spot at least 31 by 31 inches that drains
- A garden hose that reaches it, or your plumber booked for the Premium kit
- A cordless drill, a Robertson bit, a 3/4 inch nut driver bit, a second person

Care once it is up
Keep the pad clear of leaves. Let the cedar gray, or stain it. Drain the fixture before freezing weather.
Before you step on. Wet cedar is slippery; step onto the pad, not across its edge, and do not leave children on a wet pad unsupervised. Drain the shower completely before freezing weather, per LeisureCraft.
The questions buyers actually ask about the Sierra
Does the Sierra come with a shower head, valve or hose fitting?
No. LeisureCraft says shower hardware is not included and must be purchased separately; the photographs show a fixture because LeisureCraft shot it with one. Choose the hose kit or the Premium kit above.
Can I just hook it up to a garden hose?
Yes. LeisureCraft says the pillar showers connect directly to a standard garden hose, cold water, no plumbing. The Garden Hose Connect Kit is the fitting; ask us what is in it, LeisureCraft does not say.
Do I need a plumber?
Not for the garden hose setup. For the Premium kit LeisureCraft says a plumber may be required, because it takes hot and cold lines to the back of the pillar; your local code decides.
Sierra or Savannah: which one?
Same height, depth, cedar and hardware. The Sierra is a 13 inch pillar on a 31 by 31 pad; the Savannah a 42 inch panel on a 40 by 40 pad. Want something behind you, the Savannah; have a post's worth of room, the Sierra.
How high is the shower head?
It depends on the hardware, and LeisureCraft's Sierra drawing shows none. Its Savannah drawing, with the Premium kit, puts that head 76 inches above the pad; we will not quote a figure LeisureCraft has not drawn.
Where does the water go?
Through the gaps between the floor boards, onto whatever the pad stands on; there is no drain pan. Put it on a surface that drains.
Can it stay outside through winter?
The cedar can; the fixture cannot hold water through a freeze. Per LeisureCraft, drain the shower completely in cold temperatures; the pillar stays where it is.
Is it fixed to the ground, and can I move it?
It is freestanding: the pillar bolts to the pad and nothing to the ground, and LeisureCraft says it can be moved if needed. Two people, once built.
What do I have to assemble?
The pad. The pillar arrives assembled; you screw on its top plate, build the 31 by 31 floor, and lag screw the pillar to it. No assembly time is published.
Can I pay for this over time?
Yes. Shop Pay Installments at checkout, and APPROVE financing on larger orders including business buyers; the exact offer is the one presented to you on approval.
What if I change my mind, and how long until it ships?
Every Sierra is built to order, so LeisureCraft accepts no returns or exchanges at any point; our LeisureCraft return policy sets out where you stand. Lead time depends on the production queue; we confirm your window in writing once it is scheduled.
