Shipping & Delivery
Shipping & Delivery
Your Summit to Sea hyperbaric chamber ships free via freight delivery to any address in the contiguous 48 U.S. states. Liftgate service is included.
Prescription required. Summit to Sea chambers are FDA-cleared Class II medical devices (510(k) K072757). A valid physician's prescription is required for your order to ship. Email your prescription to sales@recoveryroomdirect.com after placing your order — our team will follow up with you if we need anything else.
Processing time. Once your prescription is confirmed, your order is submitted to Summit to Sea within 2–3 business days. Chambers ship directly from the Summit to Sea facility.
Transit time. Typically 7–10 business days after shipment, depending on your location. You will receive tracking information once the carrier picks up your order.
Scheduling your delivery. All hyperbaric chambers ship as oversized freight on a pallet. The carrier will contact you to schedule a delivery appointment before the truck arrives. Respond promptly — missed delivery attempts can result in storage fees charged to you.
What to expect at delivery. Standard delivery is curbside — the driver will lower the shipment using the truck's liftgate, but will not bring it inside or assist with installation. Have help available on delivery day.
IMPORTANT — inspect before you sign. Walk around the shipment and check all boxes for damage before signing the delivery receipt. Note any damage on the Bill of Lading before the driver leaves. If you observe major structural damage, refuse the delivery — we will arrange a replacement at no cost. Signing a clean Bill of Lading releases the carrier from all damage claims.
Alaska, Hawaii & outside the contiguous U.S. Not available at standard checkout. Call (888) 500-5675 for a custom freight quote.
Free freight applies to standard residential curbside delivery within the contiguous 48 U.S. states. Transit times are carrier estimates, not guarantees. View our full Shipping & Delivery policy →
Return Policy
Return Policy
We want you to be completely satisfied with your Summit to Sea chamber. If something isn't right, you have 15 days from the date of delivery to initiate a return. All return and refund communication is handled directly by our team at Recovery Room Direct — you never need to contact Summit to Sea yourself.
How to start a return. Email us at sales@recoveryroomdirect.com or call (888) 500-5675 with your order number and proof of purchase. Do not ship the item back without prior written authorization. We will coordinate with Summit to Sea on your behalf.
Condition required. The chamber must be unused, uninflated, and in the same condition you received it, including all original packaging, components, compressor(s), and accessories. FDA-cleared medical devices that have been assembled, inflated, or used are not eligible for return.
What a return costs. Returning large freight equipment involves real costs — we want to be transparent:
- 20% restocking fee deducted from your refund
- Return freight shipping is your responsibility (hyperbaric chambers are large, heavy freight — costs are significant)
- Original outbound shipping is deducted from your refund
Your refund. Once Summit to Sea receives and inspects the returned item, we will notify you of approval status. If approved, your refund is issued to your original payment method within 5–7 business days of inspection approval.
Prescription note. Because these are FDA-cleared medical devices, any prescription documentation submitted will be retained on file per our compliance requirements and cannot be returned or deleted.
Warranty. All Summit to Sea chambers carry a 2-year manufacturer's warranty covering all components — including the compressor, electronics, zipper, windows, seams, valves, and hoses. Warranty claims are coordinated through Recovery Room Direct — call (888) 500-5675.

What Facility and Individual Buyers Should Know First
The Grand Dive Pro Plus is Summit to Sea’s largest clinical chamber. Whether you are evaluating it for a clinical facility or as a serious personal investment, here is what every buyer needs to know before proceeding.
Prescription Required (Residential)
Licensed clinical facilities — hospitals, PT practices, rehabilitation centers — do not require a physician’s prescription for commercial orders. Residential buyers still require a valid prescription before the order ships.
Freight Shipping — 4 to 8 Weeks
The Pro Plus ships via LTL freight, free to the contiguous 48 states. After your order and required documentation are confirmed, expect 3–5 weeks to delivery. Verify site access requirements before ordering.
Room Requirements
Fully inflated, the Pro Plus is 102 inches long and 60 inches in diameter — 8.5 feet by 5 feet. Plan for at least 3 feet of clearance on each end and a ceiling height of at least 66 inches. Confirm doorway clearance before delivery.
For facility orders, volume pricing, or questions about room planning and state regulations, our hyperbaric advisors are available seven days a week. Financing available for qualified orders. Purchase orders accepted for commercial buyers.
Summit to Sea Grand Dive Pro Plus — What Clinical Grade Means
The Grand Dive Pro Plus is designed and sized for facilities that run multiple sessions daily, serve a range of client body types including wheelchair users, and require a hyperbaric chamber that holds up to commercial-grade use. This is Summit to Sea's largest and most capable chamber.
Inside the Grand Dive Pro Plus, four compressors raise internal pressure to 1.3 ATA — the equivalent of approximately 11 feet below sea level. At this pressure, more oxygen dissolves into blood plasma than at normal atmospheric pressure. Users breathe ambient air; no oxygen mask or concentrator is used. Sessions typically run 60–90 minutes.
Summit to Sea holds FDA 510(k) clearance #K072757, classifying their chambers as Class II medical devices for acute altitude sickness. All other uses are off-label. For residential delivery, a physician's prescription is required. Commercial facilities — clinics, hospitals, PT practices, sports facilities — can order without a patient prescription.
The Grand Dive Pro Plus carries U.S. Patent #11,452,654 B2. The patent covers the chamber's structural design and pressurization system architecture. This is the only Summit to Sea chamber with a U.S. utility patent — a design investment reflecting the engineering required to achieve clinical-scale capacity in a portable, non-hard-shell form factor.
Growing research is exploring mild HBOT across various areas. This research is ongoing. Summit to Sea chambers are not cleared to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease beyond altitude sickness. For facility operators: ensure your protocols align with applicable state and federal medical device regulations and consult your legal and clinical advisors on appropriate use frameworks.
The Grand Dive Pro Plus is the only Summit to Sea chamber protected by a U.S. utility patent. The patent covers the chamber's pressure management architecture and structural configuration — the engineering that makes 60" of interior diameter possible in a portable inflatable chamber. Patented design is an indicator of Summit to Sea's engineering investment in this model, not a medical claim.
Summit to Sea Grand Dive Pro Plus — Key Features
Every dimension of the Grand Dive Pro Plus is built around professional daily use. The specs that matter for a facility running 6–8 sessions per day are different from what matters for personal home use — and this chamber is designed for the former.
At 5 feet across, the Grand Dive Pro Plus is large enough for a standard wheelchair, a reclining chair, or two adults lying side by side. For facilities serving users with mobility limitations, the 60" diameter is the threshold that enables true accessibility — the difference between a chamber that can accommodate a wheelchair and one that cannot is the entire clinical value proposition for many buyers.
Four compressors work together to pressurize the Grand Dive Pro Plus and maintain stable 1.3 ATA throughout the session. Quad compressors provide true operational redundancy: even if one unit requires service, the chamber continues to function. For facilities where a chamber going offline means cancelled appointments, four-compressor redundancy is a meaningful operational advantage.
Eight and a half feet of interior length accommodates full-length adult users without any position compromise, a stretcher configuration, or a seated user in a full recliner. The 102" length combined with 60" diameter creates a chamber interior volume comparable to small clinical treatment rooms — a genuinely spacious environment for a 90-minute session.
The Grand Dive Pro Plus interior is large enough to accommodate a reclining chair, allowing users to sit upright or at a reclined angle during sessions — not just lie flat. This opens session configurations that smaller chambers cannot support: working on a device, having a conversation with a technician inside, or simply preferring an upright posture throughout the session.
Two large viewing windows allow staff to monitor users throughout a session without entering the chamber. This is a standard clinical requirement for facilities operating chambers with patients or clients. The windows are positioned for line-of-sight to the interior from the side of the chamber during a standard session setup.
The Grand Dive Pro Plus includes four air relief valves, two auxiliary valves, one internal pressure gauge, and one external pressure gauge. The dual-gauge configuration allows staff to verify chamber pressure from outside while users can monitor it from inside. The system exceeds what the smaller Summit to Sea models provide and is appropriate for high-use clinical environments.
What the Interior Looks Like
The 60" × 102" interior accommodates multiple session configurations. See both in-use positions here.

Grand Dive Pro Plus — Session Protocol for Clinical Operators
Summit to Sea chambers are designed for straightforward independent use. This protocol is sourced directly from the official Summit to Sea user manual.
- Clear adequate floor space with access clearance on both ends of the chamber
- Confirm all four compressors are plugged into the appropriate outlets
- Confirm the red deflation valve is fully closed before pressurization
- Bring water inside — drinking during inflation helps equalize ear pressure
- If using with a care partner, have them assist with the external zipper. Staff should review the full setup and safety protocol in the user manual before the first client session
- Turn on all four compressors — the chamber pressurizes automatically to 1.3 ATA (4.4 PSI)
- If you feel ear pressure: pinch your nose, close your mouth, and gently exhale through your nose (Valsalva maneuver). Yawning and wide mouth movement also help. You can partially open the deflation valve to slow pressurization for greater comfort
- The chamber is fully pressurized when the relief valves begin releasing air and your gauge reads in the blue zone
- Leave all four compressors running throughout your entire session — they maintain continuous fresh air circulation inside the chamber
- When your session is complete, turn the red deflation valve to release pressure. You control the deflation speed by how far you turn the valve
- Wait until the chamber sides feel fully soft and your gauge reads zero before unzipping — never open zippers or unbuckle straps while the chamber is pressurized
- Unbuckle all straps, then open both zippers to exit the chamber
- After extended storage: run the chamber for several hours before your first session to clear any odors that may have collected, per the Summit to Sea manual
Always read the complete Summit to Sea user manual before your first session. Questions about session frequency or duration should be discussed with the physician who issued your prescription.
Who Uses the Summit to Sea Grand Dive Pro Plus?
The Grand Dive Pro Plus is a professional investment. The buyers who choose it over smaller Summit to Sea models have specific professional or accessibility requirements that the 60" format uniquely addresses.
You operate a licensed hyperbaric therapy practice, rehabilitation center, integrative medicine clinic, or hospital wellness department. You need a chamber that can run 6–8 sessions per day, accommodate a range of patient body types, and hold up to commercial daily use. The four-compressor system and clinical-scale interior are the functional requirements that bring you here.
Clinical / InstitutionalThe user who will use this chamber is a wheelchair user, has significant mobility limitations, or cannot use a horizontal chamber in the conventional lying-flat configuration. At 60" diameter, the Grand Dive Pro Plus is the only Summit to Sea chamber that can accommodate a standard wheelchair — and one of the few soft-shell portable chambers on the market with this capability at all.
Accessibility RequirementsYou manage a training facility for a professional or elite collegiate sports organization. Multiple athletes need access to hyperbaric sessions as part of their training support stack. The Grand Dive Pro Plus handles two athletes in rotation efficiently, fits a dedicated recovery room, and meets the professional use standards your organization requires. A physician's prescription is not required for non-residential facility delivery.
Athletic FacilityYou are building or expanding a premium wellness center, longevity clinic, or luxury health resort. Your clients expect the best available equipment, not a consumer-grade chamber in a professional environment. The Grand Dive Pro Plus — Summit to Sea's flagship model with a U.S. patent — is the choice that fits a premium wellness positioning. The patented design and clinical specifications support that positioning.
Premium Wellness FacilityTwo Ways to Think About This Purchase
This is not a financial projection — it is a framework for how two different types of buyers typically evaluate the Grand Dive Pro Plus. Actual outcomes depend entirely on your specific situation.
Most home buyers do not need the Grand Dive Pro Plus. If you are buying for personal wellness use, The Dive (33") or Grand Dive (40") will serve you better at a lower investment — the clinical scale of the Pro Plus adds capability you likely won't use daily.
The exceptions: a household where a user has accessibility requirements (wheelchair, recliner needed), a home-based wellness practice seeing clients regularly, or a buyer who has decided the flagship model is simply the right investment for their situation and won't compromise on scale.
For a facility running regular daily sessions, the economics of chamber ownership vs. referring clients to external hyperbaric centers shift significantly with volume. The Grand Dive Pro Plus is a one-time equipment investment that enables a facility to offer sessions in-house.
For context on facility-use economics, reach out to our team using the ordering section below — we work with clinics and facilities regularly and can walk through how comparable operations have evaluated this decision.

How to Order the Grand Dive Pro Plus
For clinical facilities and commercial buyers, ordering is straightforward — no patient prescription is required for commercial delivery. For residential buyers, a physician's prescription is required before shipment.
Complete your purchase online or call us at (888) 500-5675. For clinical and facility orders, we recommend calling first — we can walk through lead times, delivery logistics, and any site requirements for a 60" chamber installation.
For residential delivery, email your physician's prescription to sales@recoveryroomdirect.com. Commercial facilities skip this step. We can connect residential buyers without a prescribing physician to a telehealth provider — evaluations typically take under 30 minutes.
We submit your order to Summit to Sea within 2–3 business days of confirmation. Lead time is 7–14 business days. Free freight to the contiguous 48 states — curbside by default. White Glove delivery and room-of-choice setup are available; call to arrange. For large commercial deliveries, coordinate with us on receiving logistics.
Summit to Sea Grand Dive Pro Plus — FAQ for Clinical and Facility Buyers
Yes. At 60 inches interior diameter (5 feet), the Grand Dive Pro Plus accommodates standard wheelchair dimensions. Most standard wheelchairs are 24–27 inches wide, which fits well within the 60" interior with room for the user's arms. Transport wheelchairs (narrower) fit even more comfortably. If you are purchasing specifically for wheelchair-dependent users, call us at (888) 500-5675 with your specific chair model's dimensions and we can confirm compatibility before purchase.
No. Commercial facilities — licensed clinics, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, physical therapy practices, sports training facilities, and wellness centers — can purchase and receive the Grand Dive Pro Plus without a patient prescription. The prescription requirement applies specifically to residential delivery addresses. When you call or place your order, identify your facility type and we will process your order on the commercial delivery track. If you are purchasing for a home address, a valid physician's prescription is required before shipment.
The Grand Dive Pro Plus (this listing) is 102 inches (8.5 feet) in interior length. The Pro Plus Short is 78 inches (6.5 feet) in interior length. Both are 60 inches in interior diameter, both have 4 compressors, both carry U.S. Patent #11,452,654, and both have dual viewing windows and the full clinical-grade pressure management system. The choice between them is room length. If your room can accommodate the 8.5-foot setup plus clearance on each end, the standard Pro Plus gives you more interior length — relevant for stretcher configurations or taller users. If room length is your binding constraint, the Pro Plus Short delivers the same 60" diameter and clinical system in a shorter footprint.
The inflated chamber is 60" wide and 102" long. Plan for at minimum 3 feet of clearance on each end (for entry/exit access) and 2 feet on each side for the compressor placement and cables. A practical minimum room footprint is approximately 10 feet wide by 16 feet long. The compressors sit outside the chamber and connect via hoses; they do not need to be directly adjacent to the chamber. If you have a specific room in mind, call us and we will help you confirm whether it will work before you purchase.
There is no stated daily session limit from Summit to Sea. The four-compressor system is designed for commercial-use duty cycles — running multiple sessions per day, every day. A typical 60-to-90-minute session plus setup and turnover time allows 4–6 sessions in an 8-hour facility day, more if sessions are shorter or turnover is efficient. Most clinical facilities running the Grand Dive Pro Plus operate it 5–7 days per week. Contact us if you have specific volume questions — we can connect you with other clinic operators using this model.
This varies significantly by state and facility type. Some states require specific licensure for hyperbaric operations; others regulate it under general medical device or wellness facility frameworks. Recovery Room Direct is an equipment dealer — we are not in a position to provide legal or regulatory compliance guidance for your specific jurisdiction and facility type. We strongly recommend consulting a healthcare attorney familiar with your state's medical device practice regulations before establishing a commercial hyperbaric operation. Summit to Sea can also connect you with other facilities in your state who have navigated this process.
Yes. Recovery Room Direct is an authorized Summit to Sea dealer. Your Grand Dive Pro Plus purchase through us is registered directly with Summit to Sea, and your two-year all-components warranty is valid from the date of purchase. We manage Summit to Sea communication for prescription coordination, commercial order processing, warranty claims, and post-purchase support. You are purchasing from an authorized dealer with a direct Summit to Sea relationship — not from a gray-market or secondary-market source.
